Forget about eating at this place and let me tell you a great story. I was in town for a convention and we walked down 4th street Live and opted to swing in here. After being here for 10 minutes I had more fun in Kentucky than I ever thought was possible. It was ladies night and to keep the story PG-13 we had a goal to buy drinks to any girl who would dance on the stage/stripper pole with our friend. We resulted in 12 girls doing the deed with him which was by far amazing. A nice DJ mixed and help us hype the event and girls got tons of free drinks for about any reason. Why this place has 1 star is insane, no I didn't eat the food but why bother? A few shots of liquor were fairly priced and loaded with liquor. They even had a hula hoop contest, what more can you ask for. Thank you Louisville because you cannot find a hula hoop contest on a stripper pole stage in Los Angeles, that is for sure!

I have no idea who goes here for food but you stupid if you do. This is a dance club atmosphere that is a lot of fun. DJ is not as good as Sully's but still pretty awesome! Only complaint is they started gouging patrons with $10 covers on a really busy night which completely turned me off to visiting them again. When cover is $5 I would recommend it.

Listen, if you're looking for a sit down restaurant, TGIF is just down the stairs. If you're looking for a place to have a whole lot of fun dancing, people watching, and drinking, this is it. The drink specials are plentiful, and the atomosphere is very welcoming. I was here for about four minutes before I watched a guy dancing on the floor like an absolute fool. It made my Captain and Seagrams that much better. It's a great place to pregame if you're up here before ten. Eleven it gets pretty packed. Live DJ, people dressed in gorilla costumes, and congo lines. What more could you ask from Kentucky? No really, what more could you really expect?

Not my kind of place or clientèle. We got here about 9pm, and had left by 9:15. It's basically a dirty ghetto dance club - guys don't bother, ladies I suggest you bring your stun guns and pepper spray.

I was a wild spot chicks on the stage dancing on the pole, I like that. I didn't eat any food as I was too busy lusting. I wasn't happy about the watered down drinks but I still had a good time.

Slow service. Mediocre food. Mall ambiance.

I think this may have been the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. It took our waitress 15 minutes to acknowledge our existence at all. It took over an HOUR for her to bring us our appetizer of chips and dip. It took another 45 minutes to get our meals, which were cold by the time they arrived and came in batches (3 people in our party got their food and then over 10 minutes later the other people got their food). Despite their having a kids' menu, they also had what were almost certainly stripper poles set up (poles, on a stage, with stairs up to the stage, surrounded by tables). The whole experience was miserable. The waitress half-heartedly said "sorry" when she finally brought us the third revision of our check (the other two having been wrong), but even with multiple groups in the restaurant complaining, we never saw a manager or were offered any sort of explanation or real apology for the problems.

This place played some of the best music we've heard in a long time. A great mix of 90's, 2000's and current music, alternative and pop. Great DJs! There were lots of drunk early 20 somethings dancing...excellent people watching. The alcohol selection wasn't great, the bar and floor were wet and sticky. Go for people watching and music!

I do not understand the bad reviews for this place...I came in on a busy Saturday night and was attended to promptly...ordered a chicken queso burrito which arrived less than 10 minutes after ordering. ..it was good...not phenomenal but good....after all this IS a bar which serves food...NOT a restaurant with a bar! The servers WERE phenomenal. ..I was checked on frequently by at least 5 different servers as they passed by.....my only complaint was the plastic silverware and bev naps for napkins...but like I said..this is a bar.....I will definitely return...

All of the bad reviews seem to be for the food... Don't go there to eat. There are plenty of perfectly decent restaurants in Louisville; go eat at one of those. Don't go there expecting the bartenders to be able to wax philosophical about a specific cocktail (or, in our case, to know what exactly is on the summer drink menu). I mean, look at them. Go next door to The Marquee/Kill Devil club and have a couple of drinks at the bar first. It is (a little) quieter in there. After that come here to have a good 'ole stoopid touristy time. That's what my husband and I did. This is not our normal scene. I love to dance, but I like for the crowd to consist of something besides "OMG IT'S MY 21ST BIRTHDAY!" and "OMG I'M GETTING MARRIED!" ...most of the time. This turned out to be exactly what we wanted to do on this particular Saturday night. Yes, it was loud. Yes, it was crowded. And yes, the place took on a sort of 'strip-clubesque' feel a little after midnight, but it was a good time nonetheless. We never got tired of hearing "FOR THE LAST TIME, IF YOU HAVE A DICK GET OFF THE STAGE!"

Went there on a Friday night around 8pm. NO ONE was there! Grabbed a table and had the bartender come over to take our drink order only to tell us they were out of Bacardi! She then told us that they don't have a lot of food on the menu and that they are more of a late night club.....whatever that means. Don't take the walk up the stairs to this place. Go somewhere else.

Being from New York, I tend to expect good food, and service. We were in Nasville for the weekend and took an over night trip for a friends birthday to Kentucky. We had a group of 15- 13 guys and 2 girls...What a blast. First it took 1.5 hours for our food to arrive. Secondly, it was the worst, frozen food, half microwaved, I could have had a better meal from Lean Cuisine. The food was horrendous. The drinks were watered down and inconsistent. Why did my margarita taste like fruit punch and my friends was all tequila? They did offer us birthday shots on the house, which were nothing more then blue capri sun. The waitress had more attitude then a New Yorker on a Monday. My tortillas were frozen, the rice was stale and lifeless, my friends enchiladas were clearly from a frozen pack of costco finds, and the service was horrible. The worst meal I've ever eaten, the $80 we spent on three meals and three drinks was nothing more then wasted time and money...the worst.

I asked the bartender if they had any mexican beers. She said no. She then listed of corona and dos equis. Wtf!?!

Great venue and location. The waitresses were nice and welcoming. We ordered burgers and sandwiches. The rolls tasted a little dry/ stale. Other than that, it seems like a great place!

So CROWDED and expensive. Just like all fourth street places. Great to visit every once in a while or when people come from outta town but other than that I'll pass.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
