When you walk in, just find a table, sit down, and let the magic begin. I'm only like 30% kidding. When we mentioned it was our first time having Cincinnati-style Chili, our waitress (Chas) brought us each a sample. When our chili came, she offered us bibs and tied them for us. Afterward, she chatted with us about the T-shirts and how much she missed her old car. For a no-frills kind of place, we were super impressed with the service. Because I should probably mention it: the chili was delicious in a kind of oh-my-God-what-am-I-doing-to-my-body way. You don't want the large. No human being should be able to finish a large in one sitting. Order it anyway.

I've always been a Gold Star girl myself but we were driving through Louisville and apparently they don't have them here so we stopped at Skyline. I had the four way spaghetti and a coney. Wow, I've missed the sweet Cincinnati style chili! They had a spicy cheese option that I didn't get but I had some hot sauce on them. Spaghetti was a little dry but overall yummy. Service was wonderful. Food came out fast and hot. If u haven't had this style of chili, try it!!!

I had my first experience with Cincinnati style chili at this spot. After I got over the shock of how strange the flavor was, I enjoyed it. I was grossed out with the first two bites and then I just kept eating. It grew on me. I returned the next day...I like this stuff. Who knew that chili with the strong flavors of cinnamon and allspice served over spaghetti and topped with onions and a mountain of cheese would be so yummy?! This chili is nothing like a Texas Chili (just meat and red chilies) or Midwest Chili (beans and tomato sauce). It is its own style with a Greek nuance. I thought the staff was incredibly friendly. By judging the friendliness taking place among the patrons, it seems to be a local hangout. In the end, when I returned to Tennessee, I looked up a recipe and made this at home. It's good even if it is strange.

You can't go wrong with skyline chili. When you are craving the best Cincinnati chili, this is the spot. Service is fast and good. The chili dogs are also very tasty and hit the spot. Portions are big enough to share.

I usually only go through the drive thru, so can't speak for inside, but the service is usually decent. They've messed up my order a couple times but nothing major. The food is great though

This is the Skyline I hit when driving from Alabama to Ohio. It is clean, service is fast, and it is fairly easy to get to once you know where it is. I have been hitting this place for years, and many of the wait staff are the same, so they are experienced pros. Skyline has the best Cincy style chili, and usually by the time I get here I haven't had any in at least 6 months. So I go hot wild and order 3 cheese coneys and a small three way. Yeah, it's a lot for lunch, but gosh darn it, it's good :) If you love all variety of chili or are a chili gourmand, you have got to try this place. I always forget to ask for a bib, and I always end up scrubbing stains out of my shirt.

It's a Cincinnati classic served up fresh in Louisville. My visit was great! Servers were all very friendly and even though I came during the lunch rush, I was served in less than 3 minutes!! Being from Cincinnati orginally, I have to give and extra star for this classic meal remaining true to it's roots. The coney dogs taste exactly the same now as they did 20 years ago. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Let me start by saying that this is not Chili. It is Cincinnati Chili, which is a type of sauce that you put over Spaghetti. It has ground beef in it and is rather thin. The spices are different than regular Chili. That's not a bad thing in my book, as Skyline is an old friend. Not everyone is going to like Skyline. Here is the rundown. 2-way Chili is just Chili over Spaghetti Noodles. 3-way Chili adds a hefty amount of shredded cheese to the plate. 4-way Chili adds either raw white onion OR beans to the others. 5- way chili puts all of that stuff on your plate. This is blue-collar food. It's not gourmet. Coney Dogs are also available. They are pretty good, also. I always go with 4-way chili with Onions, and it's really good. I can't bring myself to order 5-way Chili because beans have no place in Chili. Everyone knows that, right? Give this place a try, you might just love this concoction. It's not fancy or really Chili, to be honest, but I like this stuff-----you will, too!

Great dinning experience. Service was nice and food was quick. The habanero cheese kicks it up a notch!

Busy for lunch but waitress was able to get our order correct and refill drinks in timely manner. I just love this food it is my cheat day for my diet and well worth the cheat. Worth flying up from FL to have a local Cincy favorite.

This place is a no frills eatery that is all about the food. The decor resembles a suburban, High School Cafeteria, but the food is wonderful. Warning: There is nothing healthy about this meal. For those of you who have not had the pleasure to try Skyline Chili it can best be described as a combo between Spaghetti and Tex Mex Chili. The Chili has a sweet, cinnamon flavor to it which gives it a unique taste. I'm trying to totally ween myself of Chain Restaurant's, but Skyline is to wonderful to pass by. If you are ever in the Cincinnati area, do yourself a favor and give this guilty pleasure a try.

I had heard much about the Cincinnati legend that is Skyline Chili, and was pleasantly surprised to see a location very conveniently located to our hotel (as in, right across the parking lot). So we go in and have an early dinner one night. The set up is odd, it looks like any old fast food joint, with a counter and booths and all that, but you don't order food and bring it to your table on a tray. Instead it is waiter service, and although all the employees at this particular location appeared to all be under the age of 21, these folks all seemed to take their jobs seriously. I didn't witness any horseplay like is usually the norm in situations like this. The waitress we had was very nice, professional and quick. I ordered a small 4-way, which is chili, beans, and cheese over spaghetti and also a Greek salad. The portion of the 4-way was pretty big for a small, and I was glad to have ordered that. The salad, however, was massive, and consisted of romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, pepperocinis, olive, feta cheese and dressing. The crazy thing was that it was almost all toppings and no lettuce - wouldn't you have thought it would be the other way around? But it was great! For something considered fast food I had a rather enjoyable experience and would definitely return! Plus, how can you say you had a bad experience after having a 4-way? ;)

Honestly, I don't understand the low ratings. Ok, it is not gourmet food. But if you want gourmet, don't go to a chili joint. I digress. . . . I come to this location about once a week. It is a special Father Son thing I do with my kids on our way to Boy Scout meetings. I wanted to give four stars, but I can't. We always get incredible service and I love the food. One of my kids is a very picky eater and the servers always deal with him with a smile. granted, we always get the same thing, but we always love it. I can't speak for the other locations, but I assume they are good. But I love this one.

Whatever they call it - they shouldn't call it chili. Let me start by stating the employees were friendly and attentive so no complaints there. Also the place is clean. Finally, the prices were cheap - thank God! I went there today with two friends. We're from different parts of the US and have sampled different chili recipies. It was our first time at a Skyline and we wanted to see what the hype was about. We don't get it. What Skyline calls 'chili' is some strange, sweet brown gloop with mystery meat. It was not what any of us were expecting and none of us liked it. As almost every dish contains their 'secret recipie' chili, we won't be going back. The place was plenty busy with lots of customers who appeared to enjoy what they were eating. Maybe it's a Cincinatti/Louisville thing but seriously folks, this stuff is nasty. One guy is feeling a little queasy, the other is seriously dissapointed and I've got an appointment with the crapper.

I can't say much that others haven't: -True to the skyline menu -Very clean -extra points for the giant, 2 story, inflatable chili cheese coney out front. keep it com'n.

What else can I say it's skyline. If you know it then you probably love it. If you don't know it, it probably sounds terrible. Spaghetti with chili...yuk! That could not be further from the truth. It is exceptional. It is nice because you can get it however you like. My fave is the 5 way..chili, beans, onion, cheese, and spaghetti. You can get it with any of those or none. They also have great little chili dogs or coneys as they call them. You have to try this place if your from out of town! It is legendary in Cincinnati.

Since I'm not from Louisville-Cincinnati area of the country, I'm reluctant to pass judgment on what I'm sure is a local favorite. I just didn't get the hype. It's meat chili on spaghetti covered with cheese and onions. Since it was 8 degrees in Louisville when I was there, I can certainly see how you would want something warm and hearty, but I just didn't get the draw to Skyline.
