I'm not usually an Outback fan but I found a burger on the menu that I would certainly have again. It is the Blooming Onion Burger. It was perfectly cooked to my order, very juicy, and the lettuce and tomato were fresh. There are crisp, fried onions on top but not so much that you feel you have eaten an entire blooming onion --just enough to add crunch. Our server was wonderful (Jacob I believe) and the assistant manager checked in with us.

I don't come to this location often. Last time was 6 months ago and the bartender recalled my drink order. The service=excellent. I had the ny strip cooked to perfection but could use more seasoning. Also, a great, fun atmosphere.

Some one told me to try the wings. I said at Outback are you serious? They said yeah. Glad they did because they are impressive. Now after the appetizers it goes down hill. I've not found anything as far as a meal that I like.

This is my favorite Outback in Louisville!!! Our server (Alex or Alec) was phenomenal! He asked so many questions to ensure that our food came out perfect and it came out nothing less than that! I ordered the outback special and enjoyed the best house salad anyone has to offer (those croutons are ADDICTING!!) the sirloin with the Parmesan crust which was cooked perfectly medium and green beans. Our experience could not have been better!

We have eaten here many times and I personally have never had poor food here, but my husbands steak is always extremely undercooked. It always gets resolved, but last night it went beyond an undercooked steak. We did call ahead seating and when we arrived we were taken right to a table. Here's where everything went down hill. Our server after about 10 minutes stops and in a very rude way said that she would be back to get our drink orders. After another 5 minutes or so she did. She didn't ask us about our drink order she asked if we wanted an appetizer. And we said no we just wanted bread for the table and to order drinks. She got our drink order and was just kind of short with us like we were a nuisance. She finally comes back with our drinks and bread. We had no silverware or plates for our bread. We asked NICELY for plates and silverware, she then jumps down our throat that she was waiting on plates to be clean. We tell her we are ready to order, place our order she repeats it back OK whatever. So we wait. Probably 5-10 minutes before someone else finally brings plates and silverware. By then the bread is cold. I am very patient. My hubby was getting more pissed by the minute. She never comes back to ask if every thing's all right or if we need anything. I sat for 10 minutes or so with an empty drink. She never came and asked if I needed a refill, she finally just shows up with a refill and before we can ask her for more bread or anything she's gone. Our food was brought out by kitchen staff. They left off my sons add on lobster tail and his steak was supposed to be medium and it was well done but actually was more overcooked dried out and burnt, while my husband who asked for medium well was given a steak that was too bloody for me and I get medium rare when I order steak. We had to flag someone down to take his steak back and cook it more and to let them know about the missing lobster tail. They asked us who our server was and I pointed her out across the restaurant. The kitchen person corrected the order and then all the food was acceptable. She never came to the table to apologize or ask if we had everything we needed. This is what really got me. I was looking around and she never looked like she was busy or like there was a sense of urgency to get something for anyone. The table behind us also had trouble with her. They actually got up and went to the hostess stand to ask for their check and boxes and refills. When we finally wave her down to get boxes and the check, she then apologizes for the lobster tail, but knew nothing about the undercooked steak. She was trying to be nice and by then we were all so upset that we barely made a peep back to her. I have always had great food there, but I think this is the last straw for my hubby. My sons were not very happy either and it's hard to tick off a 14 and 10 year old hungry boy. My oldest said his steak was terrible, but he was so hungry he just ate it. I think they've lost our business. The key here is, no matter how bad the food is a helpful and caring server can turn that around. As I said I have always liked their food and my hubby just would take me even though he didn't care for it. Now I won't go back, because an uncaring and terrible server ruins what could have been an OK family meal. Even after all of this I still don't know her name. She's one of those who probably doesn't give her name because she knows her service is awful!!

Always a solid pick, and they have made some nice changes to the menu. This outback always has perfect baked potatoes and a slightly spicy caesar salad

Service was good. Good was above average. Overall a fair for the price. Server forgot 2 of our peoples side items. Drinks were promptly filled without asking. Appetizer of buffalo chicken dip was very underwhelming.

The last time I went here everything was pretty good. This time service seemed good but was a little slow in the long run. Food took a while to come out. The second loaf of bread was not warmed up properly. The steaks were odd shaped and gristle in them. Too much for a 6oz sirloin. Both mine and my wifes. I really want to go to Outback, but they make it too hard to keep going, because there's other places I don't have these problems.

The GOOD: The steak was cooked almost perfectly. Quick service. The BAD: BEWARE, ranch dressing lovers--it comes with cayenne pepper--I would never have guessed you have to read the menu to know about the salad dressings--waitress did not offer to bring replacement dressing until I'd eating 95% of my salad. Room temperature was so cold, that we had to eat in our winter coats the whole meal. I asked for broccoli to not be mushy; it was mushy, and great if you like cooked in butter (which I admittedly did not complain about.) The baked potato was small -- not much larger than a tennis ball. The Outback $11.99 6 oz steak was not as good as the $8.99 same meal from St. Mathews Texas Roadhouse. Meh, I've experienced better at Texas Roadhouse.

Everyone knows what Outback is and what it isn't, so there is little need to belabor the point that there are numerous restaurants in Louisville that will provide a more enjoyable dining experience. However, there are times when you are in a certain location and don't feel like fighting the traffic. If you find yourself in such a situation, then this Outback is fine. I ordered the sirloin and grilled shrimp combination. The special shrimp sauce was excellent, but I was disappointed by the size and quantity: 4 small pieces of shrimp. My wife ordered a medium-well ribeye, but it was definitely on the bloody side. Finally, this location is on the chilly side so bring a jacket.

We are enjoying the holidays with a family evening movie and then went here for a late lunch. Enjoyed the bread as always and the salads are off the hook as usual. My daughters had the Alice Spring Chicken Salad and another the Chicken Tacos were great. I had a steak just because I can't go to outback without getting a steak and baked sweet potato loaded! Wife got the Alice Spring Chicken with a side of fries!

We decided to eat a late lunch & got there at 2:30. There were just a few folks at the bar & one other table of diners - yet it took 7 minutes before our server came by. Once we were noticed things improved. Service was good, food excellent (no additional salt/pepper necessary). Will definitely go back for lunch but will make sure the server knows we are there.

Great location, have been well over 15 visits per year. Love the wedge salad. Upgrade beyond the outback special to something a little pricier, the quality of steak improves dramatically.

Food was fair. Staff was very slow and obtuse concerning their job. I won't be going back to this location.
