Delicious! Great portions and an excellent menu selection. Glad we gave it a try based on the reviews below.

Pros: Ordering from their website is easy and convenient. The menu is very extensive. Lots of good options. Their delivery times are quick. The portions are HUGE. I'm talking about 3 servings per order. Prices are reasonable considering the massive amount of food received. And my favorite thing about this place: the dishes are packed with a wide variety of tons of vegetables. Cons: Flavor is a bit lacking. Note, this review is based off my first try and I will update accordingly. I ordered the Garlic Shrimp. While it was loaded with plump shrimp and lots of veggies, it was very bland. The sauce was too sweet and syrupy, not garlicky. In the future, I will order an item with the spicy pepper symbol beside it, with hopes that it will be more flavorful. I also sampled the Kung Pao Chicken. I enjoyed the spice in the sauce, but I thought this dish was overpowered by celery. All in all, a great option when you don't feel like cooking, leaving the house, or ordering pizza.

Ugh, how I do not like to downgrade a restaurant's rating. But after being disappointed for the third time, I will not hold back. They really need to taste some of their own creations, especially the chow mei fun. It has been so salty we have thrown away most of it, twice. Their Pad Thai is bad in a whole new way: its flavor is distinctly too vinegary and too sugary at the same time. The noodles are also over-soaked and broken into little pieces. Although my picture of shrimp w pea pods looks good, it did not taste good. The brown goopy sauce overwhelmed everything. I ate the shrimp and threw the rest away. Their sushi is still decent. If I come back, I will only get the sushi.

Lately I've been dining on my own hillbilly cuisine you know beans and taters and such... after finishing a long run through the Parklands and I was starved for some Asian food... Googled Asian food near me and came up with Oriental Cafe... figure typical fast food Asian. When I got there they had beer ..that alone gave them an extra star ... had the General Tso's chicken and a Tsingtao beer... it didn't come out right away but when it did it was fresh and good I had planned on ordering a sushi roll as well but their portions were so generous I did not have room. Good solid 3 stars make it 4 for the beer.

We went here for the first time last week. We ate here many, many times when it was Asian Moon but, this is so much better. We were amazed at the huge portions. We ordered from the lunch menu for $4.99 to go. You get a main course with fried or white rice and an egg roll. We ordered a pint of the Hot & Sour soup extra. I got the General Tso and my wife got Chicken with vegetables. they package everything very well and by the time we got home it was still hot and tasty. Everything was absolutely delicious. We even had enough left for dinner. You can also call ahead and place your order or you can ask for delivery. Anyway you want it, if you enjoy Chinese you'll love this place.

Went here because I needed some hot, brothy, soup with veggies. This place is fairly close to me, so it was kind of a no brainer as I didn't know where else to go. As usual, I called in my order for pick up. This place has a nice inside setup. It's clean, well lit, and has vibrant colors. It's also a fairly good size inside - unlike most Chinese take-out places. You actually don't mind sitting down to eat here. I've been many times, so I opted for the drive thru window. My order consisted of a large hot and sour soup, an order of shumai, and two spring rolls. A nice girl came to the door quickly and collected my payment and handed me my order. Everything was still hot and packaged well so there was no spillage driving home. It's not the best place ever, but it's decent. The food is tasty and the service is quick - which is what you expect for Chinese takeout. They offer traditional Chinese, but also hibachi, and sushi. The people are always nice when I visit and I've never really disliked anything I've ordered. I only wish they had hot sauce packets (the ones specifically manufactured by the people who package the duck sauce packets)... tried to explain what I meant one day and they were quite confused.

Ordered from here a few more times, all times delivery and from their website. I just love the convenience of it. The biggest con I have is I always write special instructions to make everything extra spicy and they never do. I could probably get around this by calling them, but I prefer to be as antisocial as possible. The only bad food item I've had is the Lo Mein. The food is fairly cheap so if I order something and it isn't great I'm not too upset. The Chow Mei Fun is my favorite. Sushi is good enough for what it is.

Lived in this neighborhood 20 years. Seen businesses come and go at this location. I cannot tell you how happy I was when this place came. I go just about every other week to pick up an order of Spicy Tuna Rolls, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and some Dumplings for my kid. Very friendly staff and they prepare everything super quick.

This place isn't anything fancy, it's just what you expect, inexpensive 'carry-out Chinese. But, the service is great, the people are friendly, the location is nice, the food is good, the portions are good, and there's sushi! So if you're looking for some good, inexpensive Chinese this is a good place to go!

I love this place! The staff is so sweet and friendly and the food is great! I have had both the Chinese food as well as the sushi and I can vouch for both. The steamed dumplings are also awesome. They are super convenient because they deliver AND you can order online. They are also pretty quick getting your food together. I can't say enough good things about this place!! I'm a little picky sometimes when it comes to my food, and if I ever leave any notes about it (ex. White rice instead of fried rice, or if I ask for eel sauce on a sushi roll that doesn't have any), they are always kind enough to follow the notes for me. Spot on! You've earned a repeat customer, oriental cafe! :) thanks for great service.

Talk about the exorbitant expectations on some reviews. Now I don't think this place is anything to write home about by any means. However, if you're looking for an upscale sushi place or hibachi place - you could probably find it elsewhere. Oriental Cafe is a great takeout place that has a wide selection. I typically have their Japanese portions of the menu and have not been disappointed. I think they overdo the onions on the hibachi dinner vegetable side, but am otherwise very pleased. They are reasonably priced and you definitely get what you pay for. The portions are also a pretty good amount. I ordered an app, soup, and dinner (don't judge) my first time and had way too much leftover. Also, the Japanese "yum yum" sauce is pretty tasty here as well. It's a little bit sharper than most. Hope this helps at least a small amount. Just my two cents.

I've been ordering from here for several months after I saw some recommendation somewhere. I may have be searching for restaurants that deliver. I have been VERY impressed with the food. I have only ordered the Chinese food, and have not tried the sushi or hibachi items. But I have been really happy with the food. I love their hot and sour soup, the pot stickers and the Mongolian triple. I have tried quite a few other entrees and appetizers, and liked all of them. I was not thrilled with the shumai, but it wasn't bad, just maybe not my taste. Their delivery (I have also done carry out) is very fast! This is now my go-to Chinese place even though there are about 3-4 closer places.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
