Absolutely amazing locally owned NY style pizza! They also serve homemade gelato as dessert in an array of flavors. We made our own pizza - pepperoni, sausage and onion and it was cooked to perfection! A must try- you won't be disappointed!

Locally owned and operated truly represents Old school NY style pizza. Large slices that are crispy and dripping in absolute goodness! Can't wait for the new menu items to roll out. Praise the Lord they started delivery bc I don't know why you'd order pizza from anywhere else. You gotta try it!

By far the best pizza in Louisville! I love this place. My favorite is the BBQ pizza - and normally I hate BBQ pizza! Great place & great prices!

If you like pizza and live in Louisville, then you need to try them. This place is seriously good. I enjoyed every bite of my pizza and couldn't resist ordering more. The gelato was very good too... What was even better were the people that run it. Very nice and polite... Would definitely go back...and tell friends about it.

The clear winner for best pizza in Louisville if you love NY Pizza. Order by the slice is fresh and fast!!! Better than any "fast food" option I have ever tried. Love the $6 special for 2 slices and a drink. Perfect amount of food for lunch! I like to think of myself as a pizza connoisseur and this place gets my highest marks. Simple, fast, and delicious!!! So glad to have a little NY in the Ville!!

Had take out from here tonight, GREAT PIZZA! It is just like NYC pizza you get in the city, finally found a new pizza joint with true New York Style! Friendly staff, they also have pizza by the slice while you wait on your 18" inch pie! That's right I'm American I needed a slice while waiting. Buffalo chicken very tasty! Be back soon!

Traveling for work, when Yelp led us to this gem. First the pizza: Fresh, made to order, quality toppings, perfect amount of sauce and cheese and the BEST crust you can imagine. It had the perfect amount of crunch but folded nicely. Second the cookies: chocolate chip delights. Literally melt in your mouth good!!! Third the staff: helpful, quick, clean, and kind. Honestly it was a win win win!!!!!

Great little pizza joint. Can't beat the $6 special. Big slices that a crispy and loaded with toppings! Be sure to try the bbq chicken pizza it's amazing. The owner is friendly and always there. The sign of a good business. This place is a must try!

We ordered 3 calzones. The tomato sauce is way too garlicky! We ended up using Bertolli sauce from Kroger instead. The outside of the calzone is plane dry dough; no seasonings, butter, nor olive oil. The insides were loaded with cheese. After eating the whole calzone in under 10 minutes, I was still hungry!!!! For $8 apiece, I could have spent $5 on a Little Caesars pizza and had leftovers!

Pizza was really good. Crisp crust and fresh even though we ordered slices out of the case. Had a great flavor too. Alot of people were coming in for carry out. The dining room was clean, bright and airy. My kids just thought it was OK but I really like this restaurant.

Found this place by accident. I parked and saw a cop car outside (policeman was on his lunch break inside). I immediately knew this is a great place and I wasn't disappointed. Clean and nice place and pizza is awesome! Think crust is even throughout and it's not chewy and rubbery but has a nice texture to it. Bathrooms are spotless clean, smell fresh and have changing stations. If you're looking for a new pizza place, try it out. They'll make sure you come back.

Heyyy you guyysss!!!!!!! Who knew authentic New York style pizza (says my native New Yorker lunch date - I'm taking her word for it) was located in a strip mall on the east end? Big ol' foldable, greasy, delicious slices of pizza, calzones with ricotta and mozzerella cheese oozing out, homemade noodles in their lasagna (just added to the menu), and big fresh salads - all squished unassumingly between the asian massage place and the nail salon. Let's just go with it. The guy at the register was clearly made of NY material, when I wanted a veggie calzone (because sometimes meat is optional in my world) he negotiated (we won't say argued...only because he was smiling) me into a spinach meatball calzone because it makes a better end product - no soggy Italian food was coming out of his kitchen if he could help it. He was so confident about it that I went with it - and it was good. A pound of calzone and fresh marinara, no need for a side or any fillers it was perfect as-is. The place just hit the one year mark and they seem to be hitting their stride. They just dropped gelato from the menu (argumentative/friendly owner-type says his customers didn't really know what it was - c'mon people!) but are adding some fun new options and have a $6 lunch that's worth a look. Bottom line - Decent prices, fresh ingredients, bright friendly open space, friendly service, attention to food detail. The best quick-Italian option I've had in quite some time.

Can't go wrong with the lunch special-- I always go for the Brooklyn. I love the whole roasted garlic. If I'm getting a whole pie, I absolutely go for the eggplant parm pizza. Dough made in house, but the accents-- they're from NY!

Moved to a new town looking for good pizza. Best pizza I've had in a long time. Planning on making it my regular pizza place!

I don't understand the near perfect rating. This establishment failed to impress me the slightest bit. My pizza took nearly 45 minutes and was not memorable to the point I would revisit. The dining room was bland as possible, cheap furniture, their hours suck for a pizza place, and no delivery are all HUGE let downs to make a good pizza place a GOOD pizza place. I really think the establishment relies too heavily on the NYC accent and less on the pizza experience and flavor.

If you like thin crust, NY style pizza, then this is hands down the best pizza in the Louisville area. It's tucked away in a little shopping center, but is worth searching out. Call ahead for take-out.

If you're ever in the area around I-265 and LaGrange Road and you don't want to have the typical fast food experience, stop by Old School NY Pizza and grab a few slices of pizza. I am a huge fan of pizza, of all sorts, and this place is ligit. I ordered the two slices and a soft drink special and I was very pleased. The slices are big and the taste of the pizza is as close to NY style pizza as you can get (outside of NY). Please note, this style of NY pizza is not the same that you will find like some other NY style pizza joints in the area. This style is more reminiscent of a small mom & pop shop that you stop at to grab a couple of slices while walking down a NY city street. Yes, you know the place, the place that screams, "It's late, and I need something to eat to balance the alcohol." So far, I've only had pizza from here once but I am currently waiting for a few slices, during my second visit (pick up), while writing this review. I can't wait!

I'm surprised by how much I liked this pizza, since I usually prefer the really thick pizzas with dense toppings. This pizza is more about quality of ingredients rather than getting a ton of toppings in every bite. The cheese is phenomenal, and I love the fact that you can get garlic and eggplant as toppings. When I ordered, I chose a specialty pizza and they let me make a substitution, which most pizza places don't seem to do. The gelato is great as well. I tried the pistachio and the triple chocolate--both were very rich and delicious. Update (10/1/14): I tried their calzone on this visit. It doesn't have any sauce in it but they give you a cup of warm marinara on the side. It certainly is big, but the inside is mostly cheese, regardless of how many toppings you pay extra to add. It wasn't bad, but considering the price ($8 plus $0.50 per topping) and considering how good their pizza is, I wouldn't bother ordering the calzone again.

Great Pizza and even better staff! Very accommodating, let me hang out and use their Wi-Fi while waiting for tire install. The guys bantering back and forth made me feel like I was in a NY pizza joint

This pizza is just average. Nothing special. We tried it for lunch which was a cheap deal but there were cans of soda to drink instead of a fountain and the place didn't have on air conditioning.

Mmmmm, real pizza! Delicious crust on the pizzas and calzones! I can't say anything bad about it!

One day driving up Factory Rd I happened to notice this new pizza place at the SW corner of Factory and La Grange Roads. We're always on the lookout for new places, especially Italian. It was at least a month before we got a chance to try it. I'm sorry we didn't get a chance sooner! We like our pizza crust thin, homemade sauce, just the right amount of cheese, a dash of oil and spices, with mushrooms. Old School delivers what we consider one of the two best pizzas in Louisville. The toppings menu is extensive. They only serve one size (18", with the exception of the 7" for kids) and the price is right. Fifty cents a topping is pretty reasonable and all are fresh and delicious. This is a specialty pizza place without the frills. Pizza and calzone. That's it, but it's enough for true Italian perfection. The calzone is amazing; probably the best we've ever had, stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella and Parmesan, there's hardly room for other fillings (but try anyway ). You won't find beer or wine here. The owners want to keep it a strictly family place which is great. Plenty of seats for everyone! Very kid friendly - what child wouldn't want to have a party there where everyone gets to make their own 7" personal pizza? While you're there, peruse the variety of gelato flavors. Scrumptious! Put Old School NY Pizza on your "must go" list and tell them The Chicago Guy sent you!

Amazing pizza! Ny style for sure. Calzones are amazing too. I've had their pizza many times but just had a calzone and it was perfect?

I came in around 1130 on a weekday - it wasn't crowded - and got the $6.00 lunch special: 2 slices of pizza and a drink. The 2 slices (1 "supreme" and 1 "barbecue/bacon ranch") of pizza were ok - enough to get rid of the hunger and leave you full but nothing impressive taste wise. I did gets pint of "spumoni" gelato - and that was good. I'd recommend this place if you are in the area and can't decide on anything else nearby.

Great little pizza place! My wife and I both had their special: 2 large slices and a fountain drink for $6. Great deal. The staff was very nice and the place has a relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommend you give them a try for some tasty thin crust NY pizza. Oh, and they also have gelato flown in from New Jersey.

Thin, very New York style pizza. Foldable, great texture on the crust. Extremely clean, family friendly place, small though. Gelato looked delicious, but I didn't get to try it. Very mom and pop, excellent lunch option, prices very reasonable.

What can I say that hasn't been said. If you are of fan of NY style or east coast pizza then it doesn't get much better in the ville. I am just disappointed that I didn't find this place sooner. Big slices fresh toppings and huge flavors. I will become a regular here. They also have pizza by the slice, which I love. Don't be fooled, this isn't sbarro it's 10 times better. Loved it!!

My kids loved the make your own pizza night (Tuesday). My calzone was delicious. You could taste the fresh basil in the marinara. The owner here really goes above and beyond to use fresh homemade ingredients and you can taste the difference.

Great tasting pizza! We moved to the area 3 months ago and today was our first time trying Old School. We had the Porko pizza. Amazing! I loved the crispy pepperoni and the meatballs should be sold on their own. I called in my order and was told 20 minutes. I walked in the door at 18 minutes and they were taking my pizza out of the oven. Everyone I dealt with were exceptionally friendly, offering me tastes of their homemade gelato (which I would have gotten had I not had to drive 20 minutes home). Seriously get the Tiramisu gelato! We had the leftovers heated up for dinner and it was just as good. We will be back. These guys know what's up in the pizza world.
