A few weeks ago my cat ran away. I was devastated, he's a beautiful Persian cat. Anyways he came home a week later and I found out he had been having sex in the bathroom at nowhere bar. I know this because I saw a craigslist post saying that "Todd" had a great time having a bback 3way with this big hot Persian. Aka my cat. I haven't been able to look at him since, as I know all bottoms go to hell. Great bourbon selection, try the angels envy on the rocks.

Nice space, good location. Prices feel steep, compared to my usual places and the restaurant I was at earlier this evening. I was here for a karaoke event. The sound system sucks, like hardcore. But the people seem great, it has a lovely patio, pool table and what looks like a dance floor area. I do intend to be back and encourage you to go there as well!

Too many strobe lights, smoke, and lasers for me but everyone there seemed to be having a great time! I think if you are looking for a place to dance the night away with little regard to just about anything then Nowhere Bar is probably the right choice for you. I would recommend trying the birthday cake jello shot.

This bar racially profiles! Not too long ago, my friend and her girlfriend visited me from out of town. I thought Nowhere Bar would be a fun, safe place to take an LGBT couple. Boy, was I wrong. The long and short of it is: their bartender was inexcusably rude to us, and their security guard racially profiled my friend. I called to complain to the owner, which was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. I barely got a chance to explain my complaint before it became clear that he was not going to take me seriously. I will never go back, and I urge you not to. Do not support businesses that allow their employees to racially profile.

I love this place it's definitely somewhere to check out if you're in town. This is kind of a gay bar too. I had a lot if fun with my gay bestfriend.

This place is so much fun on a Friday or Saturday night. The party doesn't really start until after midnight, but it's good to get there before midnight to get a few drinks and sit on their awesome patio. The staff is very friendly and the DJ plays fun dance music. The dance floor can get a little crowded but that just makes it more fun.

Love Nowhere bar. It's comfortable but ridiculously vivacious at night. I've never been during the day. But on the weekends, it's wild. The crowd is great. Service is great. Bathrooms relatively clean. Dance floor is always hoppin. And they have great DJs. It's definitely one of the better bars in town. Two complaints: 1) They gotta get the cover charge situation under control. Like a lotta bars in the highlands they keep raising their covers. And I'd think that after 2am or 3am, the cover would go down or go away (it does at other bars) but they continue to charge $5 or so. It's kinda silly, honestly. 2) Not long ago I asked one of the bouncers taking cash to see the owners or the managers (as I was going in). Just had some questions for them. Seems like an ordinary request. He dodged the question. And he kept asking why I wanted to talk to them. He finally told me two names but then wouldn't restate them (its loud, I barely understood him) and got snappy with me because "look, I've got people waiting behind you to get in, dude". I asked the bouncer right next to him the same question, and after a few seconds of the similar treatment, he gave me two completely different names. Seems unprofessional that employees try to hide who the management is. At a bar I have mostly great things to say about! Frustrating and unprofessional. So for the bad experiences with employees, it's 4 stars instead of 5.

Reluctant to review, hyper scenes aren't usually my crowd. Never really excited to go into packed places over the weekend when I still haven't caught my buzz, but I'll be honest and say this isn't a bad place to go when you're past the stage of "I've had a few" After crawling around the bardstown selection of popular bars I was feeling pretty good and the girlfriend started pestering me to go and I can only dodge the suggestion so many times. Let me make this clear; I don't have a problem with No Where's demographic, I have a problem with lasers and dancing. Continuing, we had a couple that we are good friends with in town who wanted to experience as much as possible so when I got out voted I just decided if ya can't beat 'em - join 'em and got "turnt up" The music was loud, and place was packed, and I was regrettably sweaty from dancing and past inebriated. From what I can remember the only things I would of liked differently is possibly a bigger dance floor, the size of their is just awkwardly small for the amount of people on a Saturday night, and actual glasses. No one likes a plastic cup. I was digging the outside area to cool off and there are always friendly people that aren't shy to small talk. All in all I must confess, I had a great time.

In town for the weekend, this bar was just what we were looking for. Great dance floor with a killer DJ, strong drinks and good crowd. Also, look for Carly (the best bartender ever). She'll make sure your night is spectacular.

We were informed by a worker at the bar that the owner racially profiles after he aggressively kicked out black folks without a reason/explanation. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who stands for equality.

I give them 5 stars cause I have never had a bad time there. The staff love to pump up the energy and there are often cute guys... just sayin.

Went here while in town as I had never seen it before and what a wonderful surprise! The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is so versatile. I love this place. It brings a little more to bardstown road than dive bars and pubs.

Easily my new favorite bar in Louisville, hands down. I LOVE the location, the staff are so much fun and willing to make me something new and delicious every time I ask. I love the DJ rotation and the fact that I can dance my face off inside while also being able to enjoy a conversation outside. This place is exactly what Bardstown Rd. needed!

There are few bars around where I can drink and not feel guilty the next day on how much I spent, this is one of those bars! The drinks are very inexpensive but I wouldn't say that's the best part! The open front of this bar is a blast (and great for smokers) you get to enjoy your drink and company while watching people stroll through the highlands. It's "supposedly" a gay/lesbian bar but I'd say the crowd is extremely mixed. Parking is also a perk- it's not located in a crazy busy area of the highlands so it's easy to find a close place to park.

Love this bar!! Great atmosphere and most people are chill. It's usually about a 50/50 gay/straight crowd. Good music on the weekends and always a good time :) I feel like I'm not even in Louisville when I'm here. Drinks are average prices like, $6 ish per drink. I think? I usually leave here pretty tipsy... Definitely check this place out if you wanna dance or play pool or bardstown rd.

This is a place that is more suited to the South-end crowd, who want to "get away" to the Highlands, but also stick to what they know, if you know what I'm saying. This place is just kind of sad, trying too hard to be cool. The drinks are made by average-looking bartenders who have no idea how to make a gin-and-tonic. I'm pretty sure I've seen some of them in sparkly boot-cut jeans and Affliction t-shirts with the arms cut out. The shots being constantly offered (forced would be a better description) by an older blonde lady carrying them on a tray are DISGUSTING - don't waste your money. The "dance floor" (the size of a place-mat) is laughable. And the "decor" is a joke. They could have done much better by hiring a professional. Instead, it sadly looks like a vampire-themed Claire's circa 2006. To top that off, they're charging a cover now?? For what? That being said, the few times I've given it a try, it's seemed pretty clean. :/

Nights are often a hit or miss. The aesthetics of the place keep me coming back, plus my friends love it. For me Nowhere Bar can be summed into one word; comfortable. The space is smaller but it has a little bit of everything. The dance floor is in the back of the facility. What i like most about it, is the seclusion. Have a friend you just can get to jive? Bet after a few drinks and the hidden comfort of this dance floor they will be breaking a sweat. There are a couple pool tables but I have yet to make their acquaintance. The seating in this place is large couch style, bar seating, and some pub style tables. I do look forward to coming here during the colder evenings- the outside has gas style heated towers. Give this place a chance, it might not become your favorite spot but after a few visits the comfort and the atmosphere will keep you coming in.

Went to the White Party, it was super fun! The music was good, the crowd was interesting, the photographer was excellent and captured some great pics (which I enjoyed perusing on the bar's Facebook page.) Overall, a wonderful experience. I don't drink alcohol, but my Shirley Temple was tasty!

A yelp-search-find winner when visiting Louisville from out of town. When I went to one bar only to find that they closed at 10pm on Tuesdays (pssssh) searching for pool tables yielded Nowhere Bar. Spoiler: you probably don't come here for the pool tables? The drinks are super reasonably priced considering it's such a nice atmosphere. There was also karaoke the night we went and it was absolutely killer. The standards are high. Also, the pool that you probably wouldn't necessarily come here for, because the drinks are great, the outdoor patio is fantastic, and the karaoke is on point? The pool tables are free (??), which led to a nice and friendly game with other folks.

Why are Southerners inherently good singers? Tuesday night meant karaoke with Tina, and I was even more excited to visit a gay bar in town. I thought maybe Nowhere was related to the NYC counterpart, but I believe they're separate businesses. This Nowhere is situated in a giant hall-style venue, with huge garage like doors opening up to the patio. The crowd was a little small when we arrived but people showed up in large groups when the singing started. Drink pricing was decent: $6 for Moscow mules and $4 long islands. In regard to the singing, we thought we must've stumbled upon an American Idol auditioning. From Sara Barellies to Michael Buble, men and women were belting their hearts out left and right. I took at stab at some *NSYNC and was by far the worst one up there all night. I'm glad my coworkers thought ahead and welcomed me off stage with a drink. The people here were unbelievably nice. It's a very mixed crowd and a few lesbians were telling me that for better and worse, it was becoming less and less a gay bar and more of a fun place to hang out. It's great the community is so accepting, but it stinks that their neighborhood bar was losing a bit of its character.

Well, let us begin. I've been twice to this bar. I am not from Louisville and only have gone there to visit friends. The first time I went to this bar it was pretty great and we all had a lot of fun! Not so great my second go around. The night, as usual, began with pregame'n and bar hoping. Nowhere being our ending destination of the night. We get there with no trouble and drinks are decent. The crowd is wonky and a little pretentious. No problem, that's the usual. It's a mix crowd and very packed, still the usual of most bars. My friend who happens to be a girl ask me if I would go with her to the bathroom... Being a gay man you get asked this a lot and it's not uncommon. I said sure- as we were both out-of-towners who knew only the three friends that we were visiting. So, we were making it through the crowd and waiting in the long line together, minding our own business as usual. I was thinking in my head, "Hmm, maybe this is not kosher for me to go with her to the bathroom." But then I see a couple come out of a stall, obviously a gay boy and his girlfriend. So I think, yeah- it'll be fine. This is a gay bar and who cares about gender! Well I was wrong. We're next and we noticed that the gay boy and his girlfriend came out of the stall that was marked out of order. So we assumed if they just came out of it... it must be fixed and that is an old sign. My friend does her business and I guard the door inside with her. Gotta watch out for the creeps you know! Literally it took maybe 5 to 6 seconds before my friend was done. Now when I was standing in line with my friend we stood by the door away from the cramped doorways of the stalls and bathroom area. Like typical respectful people do... Well apparently this squaty chick with a baseball cap on didn't understand that concept and was like a half inch away from our door... When I opened the door I did noticed I slightly hit someone with the door. BUT I am twig. Literally my arms are the size of a twig. If I punched someone I am pretty sure I would be in pain. I of course felt bad stopped and said I am sorry I didn't mean to do that. Granted that the music probably muffled me but I repeatedly said I am sorry... Even though she was like twice my size... I could tell she was being over dramatic about the whole ordeal. Probably drunk. As I parted ways with my drunk melodramatic "victim" - I caught up with my friend making our way through all the people on the dance floor to the patio. When all of the sudden I feel a hand grab my dainty twig arm and this girl that looked like a busted backup dancer for Janet Jackson said something to the like of, "You're out" and then I was passed on to the muscly bouncer. Dazed and a little tipsy, I looked up to the muscly bouncer and ask, "Whaaaa???" he replied with, "You were in the girls bathroom." He just kept holding my arm as if I was going to run. Clearly I was following him and being compliant. Anyways, we get out to the front and I look him dead in the eye and said, " I don't understand I was just helping my friend who didn't want to go to the bathroom alone." The look he gave me was like he agreed but was the bouncer and couldn't do anything about it. He said, "She said you're out and she's the boss..." Like what if I was transgender and wanted to go the girls bathroom? Also, I went with my guy friend to the bathroom to pee together twice and no shame there. In the stalls, not the urinals. My rational thought is the squaty chick with the baseball cap complained like a drunk baby and got me the boot. If that is the case, I blame the club for putting that sign up and allowing customers to go in the stall. That is misleading and grounds for neglect. I just want to give mad props to the reviewer Donna. She summed the place up quite well... While looking like a vampire-themed Claire's circa 2006 it also has the music that plays in Claire's circa 2006. Nowhere really? You played some of the oldest sh*t I've heard in a long time. Music game weak! And you're layout sucks. What I've read from on here is that you're also a bunch racist. So, if you like pretentious, racist, unapologetic/unfair dace clubs with music that's dated and offers supra entertainment.... then this is the place for you!
