If you are looking for great sushi, from an awesome family owned business this is your place! We have been eating here for the past 13 years and have never been disappointed! They can do any sushi roll you want, they always make us feel welcome and spoil our kids rotten! If you are looking for good food, family atmosphere and quality speedy service, you'll find it here! It's a great place for east-end folks to grab a bite wo the downtown hassle!! Consistency is key and over the past 13 years they have never let us down!!!

Second visit to this location, first for dinner. When we arrived the place was busy. After 10 minutes we were sat in habachi grill area. Our waitress was clearly overwhelmed and staffing was pitiful for a friday night. First big issue was ordered sushi and eveidenlty the chefs were to overwhelmed to fix it. I was told they never had time to make a vegetable roll. Who says that to a customer? I had teriyaki chicken which was overcooked and not very good. I gave 1 star generously as salad was good and I have had much worse. Will not be returning as this was 2nd bad visit. Hope management reads this as the service was pitifully and I'm not even blaming the waitress but management for being short handed.

Tried Fuji because we had a Groupon. Staff was friendly enough, though the place had somewhat of a negative vibe. Saw the negative reviews while we were waiting on our food, but sometimes we like places that other people rate negatively. We ordered three rolls, and they were all fairly bland. Not sure they were all what we ordered. One thing I enjoy about good sushi is proper temperature, and this was all room temp. There are some really good sushi places around, so I don't think this place will be around long.

Girlfriend and I went here last night because it was the closest Sushi restaurant to us. Big mistake. There were multiple turn offs about this place: The first thing I noticed is how busy they were, there were only about 10 people in the dining area and it was a Friday night. I was sitting in a way that I could watch the men making the sushi, while making an item, the man took a rag, wiped his nose then used the same rag to clean the counter, disgusting. Out waiter, had little to no knowledge about their products. We had questions about some of the rolls and he could barely answer them and I could tell he was half guessing. A restaurant whose employees don't care enough to know about what they serve is not one I want to frequent. And of course, the food. We ordered 4 rolls of sushi and it came to a grand total of about $40.00. Bottom line, they were small and the pieces of fish of the rolls were skimpy. Overall: I did not have a good experience and will not be returning.

The first warning sign was the location. Like many prime locations on Shelbyville Road, it was clearly visible from the street. Unlike most of them, however, you had to go "round the houses" via a circuitous route to get there. This is a place you really have to want to get to. The second bad sign: Only two vehicles parked in front of the place. However, it was only half an hour after opening time. The third warning sign: A strong aroma of air freshener greets you on aking through the door. What are they trying to hide? Normally at this point we would have turned around and left, but we had a Groupon that was close to expiring, so here we go... We were seated speedily, and the waitress was very pleasant. Unlike many oriental restaurants, she had an excellent command of the English language. She took out order, and got our appetizers: The salads were mostly lettuce, the miso soup was watered down. The "Tempura Shrimp" appetizer consisted of two *Battered* (NOT Tempura) shrimp and a bunch of Tempura-battered cheap vegetables (Broccoli, Carrot, etc). After the appropriate amount of time, the main course arrived. The spider roll had no spider in it - they were using fake crab (blech!), the Shrimp Dragon roll was falling apart, and the thrd roll (we could not recognize it and cannot remember what it was ) was an unrecognizable mass of mostly rice. For the quality of the fare offered, the bill was on the high side, totaling over $45. We paid, tipping her waitress (service was excellent, the abysmal quality of the food was hardly her fault) and left This was the second-worst sushi experience of my life. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

We purchased a groupon and tried this restaurant out and we were surprised at how good our experience was compared to the reviews it had received. We had hibachi steak and shrimp and the service and cook did and excellent job. Not only was the food excellent but the portions were plentiful as we'll. The only con that I can list is the lack of space around the the hibachi tables. If you have hibachi please ask for the yum yum sauce it goes great with everything.

We are new to Louisville and have been looking for a new go-to Sushi spot. This place is below par and we were very unsatisfied. The edamame was fine, but we couldn't find our waiter to ask for small bowls for soy sauce, our rolls were delivered at random times. After 10 minutes we got 2 of them, then after another 10 minutes, another roll and after another 10 minutes another roll. Nothing was cooked in our rolls or fried. This may have been excused if the rolls were tasty but the fish is dry and did not taste fresh, the flavors were bland, and the fake krab was very sweet. This place was pretty gross. I was praying I didn't get food poisoning.
