I was in town visiting and went for breakfast based on Yelp reviews. I choose a seat a the community table. This is a better concept than a counter. It gives a much better opportunity to converse with other folks, especially those traveling. I really like being served a carafe of coffee. This solves the typical problem of refills. The menu is large and since I like it all making a decision was difficult. I selected a Belgian waffle, eggs, and bacon combo. The waffle should have been the star of the show. But I felt that it was typical of a waffle from most restaurants. The bacon was flavorful and crispy. I will try other items on the menu on my next trip.

Good little option to Wild Eggs! All the selections are healthy! The turkey omelette was delicious and my wife got blueberry pancakes! All just healthy and fresh!

Absolutely not impressed. I ordered an omelet with potatoes and English muffin. The potatoes were just barely warm, the omelet was only slightly warmer. The English muffin was room temperature and had been liberally slathered with butter after it was completely cooled. It was very unappetizing. Upon asking for a fresh English muffin, the server reached in with his bare hands and removed the muffin from the plate containing my other food. It was actually sitting on top of the potatoes. I've never ever seen a server remove food in such a manner, especially after it had been served. Bare hands, seriously?

Basic information: Time: 12:50 pm Seating: We waiting maybe 5 minutes or less? Pretty good for the time/lunch rush! How busy where they: This was their lunch rush, pretty busy but still very attentive Wait Staff: Very good as always, she stopped by multiple times to check up on us. Group Size: 3 The Food: The Works Omelet (minus Mushrooms ) with hash. "The Works" Comes with cheese, bacon, sausage, onion, tomato, sour cream, mushrooms and egg of course. The Meal: Over all its was pretty good, I am certain I said no mushrooms and onions, but I think I said no mushrooms and sour cream and missed the onion part. It was still really good, the hash browns were still very good. It was a very hearty mid-day meal. Also considering I rarely get to have breakfast this good in the wee hours before work, it was a delightful treat for lunch. The Drink: No Ice Coffee this time, I choose regular coffee and wouldn't you know they bring you your own pot for that one person! I think I would come back just alone for the coffee it was so good. My co-workers commented on how good it smelled as well~ The Verdict: My second visit was a success, which meant the first was not a fluke of exceptional service and the food, staff and whole of First Watch was actually as good as it seems. I would recommend this to anyone look for a new "Brunch Spot" that is this area.

This place is yummy and heathy! Two things I never thought I could partner together for a delicious brunch. Normally when I brunch (or go out to eat in general), it's hard for me to eat healthy - my thought process is, I'm going hard if I'm going out (to eat, that is). Don't get me wrong, First Watch had plenty of 'hearty' options but their healthier fare was just as appetizing. I got the fresh fruit crepes and added a side of scrambled eggs, and it was so unbelievably tasty. Who ever thunk healthy could be yummy? Overall, I was very satisfied with both my meal and the service. The atmosphere was quite nice as well, as their restaurant is filled with large windows which allowed for a bright and airy feel. One of the people in my party compared First Watch to Wild Eggs, which I have to politely disagree. First Watch feels a lot less franchise-like and a lot more personal. I really enjoyed my visit and look forward to coming back!

Organic, cage-free, healthy, fresh fare. Sometimes these places end up with food that tastes like cardboard but the dishes here are flavorful and light. The inside has a trendy vibe, semi-rustic and semi-modern. There's a breakfast bar that's just a giant table. Different but cool. This place is catching on quick in the east end. Its bustling. However, visiting on the weekend, staff is doing a great job of keeping the wait under 30 mins. I recommend the coffee, which is tasty and not at all bitter. The day glow juice is excellent ($4) orange and lemon with carrot juice easing the tartness of the citrus. The potato hash is excellent and I highly suggest the BLTE. best eggs I've had in some time, quality bacon, fluffy bread. Not heavy. The vinaigrette on the side salad is also excellent too. Try it, you'll enjoy it and your body will thank you.

Food was good but pricey. I don't like how the table is set up I didn't have enough room to eat. I recommend the place to have pulp free orange juice. Great atmosphere and again the food was tasty.

Good good food, but kind of chainy commercial atmosphere. We were dying for some Mimosas, but they didn't have any. The cruel waiter told us that the staff were literally having a meeting THAT NIGHT about the impending addition of Mimosas to the menu, and that they already had all the necessary supplies in the back. Alas, he still couldn't satiate our thirst. (I suspect this problem has been resolved now, and you will all benefit from their mimosas, as we sit at home, wishing we could have had just one sip.) However, the food was great, so we quickly forgot this travesty. They serve a wide selection of enjoyable brunch food, from healthy superfood bowls to more traditional omelets. I got the special with lemon avocado toast, and it hit the spot!

I was happily surprised for my first visit at First Watch. I met here for a work lunch and really enjoyed my time. I had the Tri-Athlete omelette, which includes egg whites, mushrooms, onions, and green chiles served with salsa, an english muffin, and a side of fruit. I really enjoyed the omelette, it was healthy and very flavorful. The fruit contains pineapple, grapes, and watermelon, which were all very good as well. The service is well-paced. I didn't feel overly rushed nor did I feel like I was wasting time (which is what you want for a work lunch). This wouldn't be my first choice for a weekend brunch, but it does hit the spot for a lunch time breakfast craving. All in all a good experience.

Love the bacon cheddar pancake. Food comes fast and fresh. Summer menu has a Pineapple Cooler that is delicious with cucumber, lime, ginger and juice.

I stopped in for a to go order. The staff was friendly. I got a Works omelet sans the cheese. It was delicious and came with hash brown potatoes and english muffin. The strawberry jam that was served with the muffin was delicious. Is it house made? I wonder. If so, you are getting that right! I will be back Saturday with my son, we will see how you fare the test of a picky eater. Came back in on Saturday. The service was great. This time we dined in. I am a fan. First Watch is right up the road; Definitely passed the picky eater test. Chocolate Chip Pancakes! First Watch is great for kids!

Healthy, flavorful food at a great price. This is my absolute favorite place for breakfast. My typical picks include 'Healthy Turkey', 'Florentine eggs Benedict', 'Cranberry nut pancake'. They always have some very good specials and the coffee is the best! The service is always great also. Servers and managers are very attentive. A must try!

Let me start with the atmosphere. It is really well decorated. There is a mix of brick and white walls and the flooring and seats are wooden. It's very inviting and the decoration is clean, minimal, and classic. There is a lot of seating and I arrived at 8am on a Sunday but I do hear the wait can be pretty long later in the morning even with the amount of people they have tables for. The food itself is very reasonable priced. They have your basic breakfast, a variety of waffles and pancakes, omelettes, eggs Benedict, scrambles, etc. They also offer "healthier" menu items with things such as yogurt and an egg white omelette. Something I quite liked was they leave a coffee pot at your table so you can refill when you like (I err on the side of 3-4 cups and it is always a hassle getting a refill when I need one). I ordered the market hash that comes with potatoes, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, and red bell peppers topped with mozzarella and goat cheese and two eggs cooked your way. The typical side is an english muffin but I subbed that for whole wheat toast and added bacon. The hash was... okay. The potatoes really weren't crusty like I have come to expect from my morning breakfast potatoes and there really weren't many vegetables in it either. I did like the little sprinkle of goat cheese on top to give it a bit of a tang when you took a bite. I ordered my eggs scrambled and was halfway disappointed as they were the lightest possible color of yellow that I think exists and really had no taste. The toast on the other hand was probably my favorite part of the breakfast. It has great wheat-y flavor and they gave you a bit of strawberry jelly that appeared to be homemade to slather on it which was great. The bacon was standard and they give you four pieces in a side order. I would sum up my first experience here as fine. The food tasted good enough but with the level of restaurant inventiveness I am accustomed to having from Louisville I was not blown away and it wouldn't ever be anything I would crave nor would I ever wait to be seated to eat here. I am not making that statement to try to say it was bad or somewhere I would never try again, I think from time to time visiting here could have its purpose. One of the reasons for this being if you sign up for the email you get a buy one get one free entree. Anywhere where you can get two meals for the price of one deserves another try in my opinion.

I would say that Louisville really doesn't need any more brunch places ... but ... who am I kidding? Brunch can be the best meal of the day. Bring on big meals before noon! So I was very excited when fellow Yelp Louisville Elite Ashley D. suggested that we grab a morning bite at perhaps the newest brunch resto in Louisville, First Watch. Now as I said, Louisville is flooded with brunch options -- heck, even the ice cream shops offer brunch of some kind here, it seems -- so it can be hard to stand out. And First Watch has what you would expect of a bruncherant, i.e. waffles, omelets, French toast, pancakes, etc. But there are enough surprises buried in its menu to warrant a special trip. For example, I spied: * French Toast Monte Cristo, made with sourdough French toast, ham, turkey, melted Swiss and dijonnaise, dusted with powdered cinnamon sugar. * Killer Cajun omelet, made with white-meat chicken breast and Crimini mushrooms, onions and Monterey Jack and served with a Santa Fe sauce. * Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl, with kale, carrots and tomatoes topped with grilled lemon chicken breast, basil pesto sauce, feta crumbles and herbs. * Floridian French Toast, which is sourdough French toast with wheat germ and powdered cinnamon sugar, banana, kiwi and berries. It was hard to pick my first First Watch meal, but I settled on the Parma Hash -- two eggs atop a hash of potatoes, Italian sausage, Crimini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes with melted Parmesan, mozzarella and herbs. (First Watch really likes its Crimini mushrooms; they're in several dishes. But I'm a mushroom fan, so no complaints here.) I got my eggs over easy, which made them runny over the hash -- delicious in my book. The hash was different than some of the offerings I've had at other places in town. I liked the subtle spiciness of the sausage with the potatoes that were cooked correctly (not too hard or mushy). And the Parmesan added a bit of extra saltiness. This dish came with some English muffins and fruit on the side. Altogether, it made for a filling breakfast. Our server was prompt with the coffee, and I needed it that morning. It was a lovely meal. I hope I get to go back soon.

I was really surprised by my visit to First Watch. While I'd been to one in Cincinnati, it wasn't anything to write home about. However, this location and visit left quite the impression. I was meeting up with some friends for breakfast around 10:30 on a Saturday morning and expected a long wait. Fortunately when I arrived, there wasn't a line out the door. I requested a table outside and the host eagerly attempted to make this possible. While I waited outside, he frequently came out to update me with my wait time. After about 15 minutes, he asked if I'd be interested in a table inside, so I obliged. Our server was also quick (I'd almost say she came by too often...) as was our food. I ordered a hash, while my dining companions ordered waffles and another egg dish. We were all pleased with our orders, but when the check came, we had our credit cards sitting out for awhile and the server never collected them. We didn't realize you pay at the front and I don't know why she didn't just tell us that. Overall, food was good (nothing really profound), but the host was exceptional in his customer service.

So the hubs and I went to First Watch in Cincy a few years ago and we loved it, so when we heard they were building one here in Louisville we were super pumped! We did make the horrible decision of trying to go on a Sunday morning, but the wait actually wasn't too bad. I think we got seated after about a 20 minute wait. They do have a little bar with coffee for you to have while you wait which is always nice. I got a hot tea and the hubs got coffee, our two thermos' took up a good portion of the table though. I did like that they have different flavors for their creamers (vanilla and hazelnut! along with the plain creamer). I got the eggs benedict florentine which did not come out how I thought it would. It comes with spinach which I thought would be cooked, but it was raw. I am not complaining here at all, just because it wasn't what I expected doesn't mean it wasn't super tasty! It also had avocado with it which added to the creamy texture. Their skillet potatoes are pretty yummy as well. The hubs liked his, but can I tell you, I was so engrossed in my yummyness that I don't even remember what he got! We'll have to go back so I can let you know :)

My first visit to First Watch. Great experience from Manager Greeting at front door to checking out. Nice menu full of fresh choices. No warmers or microwaves in sight. As the tagline says, "Yeah, It's fresh." I ordered the Chickichanga based on my server Heathers recommendation. Great choice! chicken was flavorful and tender, avacado balanced out the mild heat of the chiles and Vera Cruz sauce. Fruit was fresh and potatoes were seasoned and prepared just right. not the over salted, raw in the middle stuff sold at some other breakfast establishments. This place reminds me of the California joints where avacado and Vera Cruz sauce abounds.. Nice job Heather and kitchen staff. Keep up the good work! P.s. next visit will be lunch to try the tomato basil soup which I'm sure will be great.

I've eaten at First Watch restaurants in Cinci for a few years. It's always a treat because the food is soooooo good! (can you tell I'm a big fan?) I was eager to try out the first First Watch in Lou with Yelp Community Manager Emily H. this week. We went on a Tuesday morning and there was no wait! Always a plus at a breakfast spot. We got there around 9:30. They definitely had a lot more people eating when we left at 11, but still no wait. Our server didn't come over right away to get our drink order. When she did come over she seemed kind of annoyed with us. I got a hot chocolate, that was really rich and creamy, with lots of whipped cream on top! She got our order and still didn't seem to like waiting on us much. Emily got the Parma Hash and I got a waffle with a side of potatoes. Our food came out right away and mine was great! I love their omelets too, and next time I will try The Forager or Greek Fetish. The decor was really streamlined and clean. I loved how bright and airy the restaurant was. They had a cute seating area for the waitlist in front of the restaurant that will surely be needed on busy days. I will be back soon for more of their yummy food, but hopefully the server will be a little nicer.

Our first impression, it looks like a chain from the outside, a nice chain but still very cookie cutter. Parking was...fun. I really don't care for that stretch of Hurstbourne, getting in and out can be a challenge. Only had a 10 minute wait, which wasn't bad for their first weekend open. They did have a nice sized area to wait which was nice and the tables seem to turn quickly. Menu had something for everyone, we decided on the avacado and bacon hash as well as the crepeggs. First thing we both noticed, potatoes were clearly under cooked and more firm than they should be, not quite raw but only halfway done. Totally kills the hash, as it is the majority of the dish. We both went for the salt after the first bite, then again after a few more bites. With a little salt and pepper the flavors were ok. Crepeggs were ok, but an omelette would be better probably. We had to try a pancake, chocolate chip of course. We only got one thinking it was like a side pancake as an add on to our meal. It was ok, nothing special, and definitely not worth $4.59!!! Seriously a side pancake at Wild Eggs is only $1.99, granted it was big but it's the same size as Wild Eggs and in my opinion not as good. Overall we were not impressed with the food, it was just ok nothing special enough to go back for and definitely not if there is a long wait. In a town like Louisville, just having fresh ingredients is not enough. The menu needs to be more creative with more complex flavors that keeps people coming back for that one dish they just love. I would rate them way ahead of IHOP, slightly ahead of BoB Evans, but not quite up to the Wild Eggs level. Still in search of a place that makes breakfast food the way Wild Eggs did when they first opened. We will try again in a month or two, but I have a feeling it won't be much different since it is a chain.

I finally made it over to First Watch with my husband for breakfast, and we were not disappointed! We were greeted with smiles, seated immediately, and the service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the Greek Fetish Omelette with the cholesterol free egg substitute, and the dressed greens on the side. The omelette was good, with plenty of feta cheese and black olives, and the greens were great! The meal was just what I was hoping for- healthy and not too heavy, which is just how I wanted to start the day.

My first experience at First Watch was in Tampa, FL back in December. I was very excited to learn that one was coming to Louisville! It's in a great location (intersection of Hurstbourne Ln. & Shelbyville Rd.). The first time I ate here I tried the chickichanga - which is exactly what it sounds like. It was delicious and very filling. Today I tried the avocado, bacon, and tomato hash. The potatoes had the cheese and bacon melted on them, and the egg was laid on top. I don't like a runny yolk, so i ordered my eggs over hard. The avocado slices were also mixed in. The different flavors blended well and made for a great brunch option. The hash came with a side of fresh fruit and and English muffin with fresh strawberry jelly. The other people I was with tried the pecan Dijon salad, which looked tasty as well as the blueberry pancakes. You can't go wrong with blueberry pancakes. :) The service was wonderful and our food came out fast! Overall it was a great first experience at their new Louisville location. I will definitely be back soon. A lady I was talking to while we waited was already back for her 3rd visit! They are only open until 2:30, so get there early!

I was so impressed by First Watch during my initial visit that I was ready to return! I came in on a Saturday (early afternoon) and had another wonderful experience! This time Lucy was our server. She was also very knowledgeable of menu items, was friendly, and was willing to give suggestions. She was an excellent, attentive server, and was genuine and pleasant. She was adorable, and helped to make my second dining experience terrific! The food was again remarkable. Brandon, one of the GMs spoke with me about my former and current dining experiences. I'm very impressed with employees at First Watch! They take the time to build rapport and make sure each patron's dining experience is positive and memorable. I have a feeling I'm going to eat at First Watch very often. Thanks!

Very nice layout, but can get very loud quickly if filled up. Had the waffle breakfast and it was very good. Coffee was refilled quickly and the option of fresh juices were a nice touch. I recommend going early, this place was very busy and many after us had to wait for almost an hour for a table.

I used to eat at First Watch when I lived in Orlando so it is not "new" to me. I visited this new location with my brother a couple of weeks ago. I had the Eggs Benedict. I did not like it but I admit to being picky about my Eggs Benedict. I prefer Canadian Bacon not ham and I did not like the Hollandaise sauce. For dessert, we split a pancake. It is multigrain so you have to keep that in mind that the texture will not be smooth. It was good. I'm giving 3 stars for what I ordered and 5 for service. I will definitely be back to try more items and will update my review then.

I love breakfast and was not disappointed by the menu. As I sat reviewing the menu, drooling ensued and the debate was on as to which delectable option would be mine! I selected the omelet with chorizo and avocado and asked for the seasoned potatoes. Success! While the potatoes weren't the best I had ever had, the omelet tasted fresh and amazing. Top it off with a fresh squeezed glass of orange juice and you have a winning breakfast. Our server forgot the Orange juice at first but upon bringing our check, indicated that he did not charge us due to the mistake. Nice! Beyond that tiny snafu our server was great! This restaurant is bright, clean and has friendly staff. But best of all, it has wonderful food!

Very disappointed. We have eaten at a first watch in Cincinnati slmost every time we go up there and its always bern delicious and the service was great. This location on the other hand not so much. I sat and watched a busser clean off a table behind a group of police officers and he leaned over and yelled "don't shoot" just because he thought he was funny. The officers were just trying to enjoy their meal. It was very disrespectful and it made me want to get up and leave right then and there because i come from a family of officers and of respect. No matter how good the food is I will not EVER support a business who allows employees to act that way. We waited for an hour top sit down then 45 minutes for our food then that happens. Disgusted at how some people act. Think before supporting a business such as this one.

The atmosphere was nice and fresh, and the staff was very friendly. However, the food left much to be desired. My husband ordered one of the hash bowls, and I ordered the Floridian French Toast. The potatoes in the hash bowl were undercooked, and the French toast was bland and covered with bruised bananas. I ate less than a 1/4 of my food, and told the server it was not good. She apologized, picked up my plate, and set down the bill. There was no offer to fix the food, make me something else, or take it off the bill. At the counter when we paid, we were asked how it was. We told them the potatoes were undercooked and that the food was not super great. One girl said, "Yeah, the potatoes can make it or break it. If they aren't cooked right, it ruins the bowl." When she finished her statement, the cashier announced our total, and suggested we give them another try. Nope. Your chance to establish trust and a repeat customer was missed when you did not offer to fix the problem. Huge disappointment.

This was the 2nd meal I've had at First Watch. The 1st was quite good, hence the second meal. The first time ( in Lex, KY) I ordered the Baja Turkey Burger...just, YUM! I don't remember how much it cost--probably because I liked it so much. This time (Hurstborne Ln), I was not so impressed. Ten bucks for a scoop of mediocre chicken salad on a tasteless piece of burnt toast. I don't know which meal is more representative...

I came here a while back and had a less than satisfactory experience. I wrote a review that reflected my experience and I received an offer from the management to come back on them and give them another chance. I never write a negative review looking for a free meal but I was glad that they wanted to prove that they could do better. I came back and had breakfast and the food and service was fantastic (I paid my own way). I am glad that the franchisee cares enough about customer service to reach out when there has been a problem. There is nothing on the menu that is not enticing but I decided on the pancakes, which were fantastic. My server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I highly recommend that you come ant give it a try.

I loved everything about First Watch. The staff was friendly. The menu offers something for everyone. Portions were larger than I expected. Nothing about the food seemed like a chain restaurant. I ordered the Avocado Toast and my husband had the Floridian French Toast. Both were delicious! We will definitely go back because there are so many other dishes we want to try. I am impressed with the many healthy options offered. Many other breakfast restaurants fall short in this category.

Possibly my favorite restaurant in the city. The food and service are top notch. Love the Day Glow! I actually think I have a better day after drinking one. Love the seasoned potatoes! Such a great brunch location Louisville is fortunate to have!

I'm am SO excited to have a First Watch in Louisville. I first started eating at First Watch in Orlando in 1998! When I moved to Louosville in 2001 it was the restaurant I love the most. My absolute favorite dish is the Key West Crepegg and a banana crunch pancake to share with my husband! I can't wait to go back!

So great that we now have a First Watch. First tried in Cincinnati, and we can always use another good breakfast place that isn't an IHOP or Denny's. The only issue is that everyone has to go up to the cashier to pay -- long lines -- maybe will go faster when they get more experience but would be nice if we could pay at the table like Wild Eggs.

We have been to First Watch on Hurstbourne twice. I had the beefeater sandwich twice and loved it plus it comes with a nice portion of mixed greens on the side. My husband had the Parma Hash the first time and while the flavors were good the potatos were undercooked. He had the beefeater on the second visit and liked it. The service leaves a bit to be desired in that they can't seem to keep drinks refilled even when the place isn't really busy. Don't really like the standing in line to pay either and would rather be able to pay at the table. Overall the place is nice and the food is good. Hopefully the service can be tweaked a bit.

I had first eaten at first watch over 20 years ago in Siesta Key Florida, so I was looking forward to going back. I ate with my parents and my grandmother and we all had something different. I had the carrot cake pancakes which had raisins, cinnamon and small strips of carrots mixed in. They were pretty good although a little too sweet. They bring you warm maple syrup in a bottle and they serve cold water in a carafe. My grandmother had the blueberry pancakes which were good. My mom had the plain pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs. The eggs were watery and not mixed together very well because they were both yellow and white. Dad had the Belgian waffle and a slice of sausage which also was very good. The inside of the restaurant is nice they have imitation hardwood floors and both booths and tables. They have an open kitchen in the back and it is quite noisy inside. Since they just opened last Monday they were quite busy but we only had to wait about five minutes for a table which was excellent. When you are finished with your meal you have to pay up front at the cashier; the waiters do not take payments at the tables. Brandon the manager came to our table to ask us how everything was and my mom did mention that the eggs were not to her satisfaction and he was very polite and apologetic and he brought us some coupons for our next visit. I will definitely go back.

Excellent stop on a weekday, no line, no wait for a table. Delicious food, exceptional service. I opted for the avocado hash with basted eggs, my BF had the eggs benedict. Both dishes were flavorful and well prepared with obviously fresh ingredients. We had eaten at a First Watch in Akron and were pleased to see one coming to Louisville. Check them out!

Atmosphere is great! Employees are very attentive! Food is OK... I had the tri-athlete omelet and it was pretty good. The cranberry oatmeal was good. The superfood kale salad looks good and I will try it when I come back for lunch. Parking lot is set up weird don't circle the building looking for a space:) Thanks Louisville planning commission for screwing up another parking lot design.

Host at the front seemed clueless, then he sat us in booth right next to kitchen - no barrier to full view of kitchen - not good. Waitress had limited English ability. hard to understand and she had trouble understanding us "what you say?" Wife's "veggie" half sandwich had a little piece of ham - must be ham next to veg mix, but still a big fail. My french toast was mediocre. i ordered a side of sausage. They were funny tasting, besides being burnt, and the 2 links were served on a full size dinner plate by themselves - dumb. Waitress never came back. Someone else dropped off food. Another person cleaned some of our dirty dishes. I never got a refill on soda. We didn't even get our check - had to walk up to exit. Manager just said "that's not good" but no apology from him or waitress. This place has only the "trendy" granola thing unique, but service and food are way below Wild Eggs, Cracker Barrel, and even IHOP. Game over.

I consider this a healthy alternative to Wild Eggs. We've eaten here probably six times since they opened and have only had great food with exceptional service. The Floridian French Toast is wonderful and chock full of fruit- an entire banana, a kiwi and several strawberries. There's enough fruit for two pieces of fruit per bite of french toast is firm but moist with wheat germ on top (that adds just a slight amount of crunch) and just a dusting of powdered sugar. You can always add more of their sugar-in-the-raw on the table! They make my English muffin nearly burnt which is exactly how I request it. My husband has had several items but recently had the avocado, bacon and tomato hash which was delicious. Not big on really healthy food, he's loved every meal he's had. It's healthy food but tastes great. Yes, you need to get there early. By 10am on a Sunday, you'll see 20+ people waiting. One thing I've noticed is that they must pay well as the people are unbelievably friendly and cheerful at 8am. They must really love their job! The service is really exceptional and more restaurants should emulate it.

The place is beautifully laid out, unlike ihop down the road, which is an absolute pain to get into and out of. I've eaten there several times and I will be back. A friend and I used to get together for breakfast at ihop; this is our new go-to place. So far I have only tried the "Traditional", but I have no complaints (aside from "what's-with-potatoes-for-breakfast?!", but that's just me...). Needless to say, the food is great, the service is great and the waitresses are pretty. What's not to like?! In the words of George S. Patton, "I shall return"

Was here for breakfast. I had the traditional breakfast with coffee. Ordered eggs over easy with bacon, potatoes, and an english muffin. Services was great, prompt and attentive. Food was just okay. Eggs were overcooked and the yolks did not run, in fact one egg cooked through all the way. Bacon was good, about the right amount of crispy. The muffin could have used some additional time in the toaster so it was a little gummy. The potatoes needed something, maybe some seasoning or a bit of onion. They were also a bit pale. Coffee was decent but I don't know why a place that advertises everything as fresh, organic, local, etc. has those creamer packets that last forever on the table rather than real cream. We asked for some whole milk and our waiter kindly obliged.

Made my first visit out to First Watch on Hurstbourne, and it was highly enjoyable. I had been to one in another city and had hoped the local edition would live up to that standard. It did. This is a very clean place, tastefully understated in its design. The focus on the menu is supposed to be fresh ingredients and there are several healthy options. But it was Sunday morning brunch for me, so who wants to be healthy? I had the breakfast scramble, which consisted of eggs, ham, zucchini and cheese over top toast, with potatoes and fruit on the side. All of it was delicious and perfectly made. And unlike some other breakfast joints in town, where such a dish would set you back $12-$15, this was reasonably priced at under $10 for a large plate of food. Very nice. I also got a take-home chocolate muffin for the wife, who reported that it was tasty. Had a minor setback with the wifi when I first got there (I had work to do, and it really bugs me when places don't have their wifi working). But after conferring with the waitress, the restaurant reset it and everything was just fine after that. Overall, everything was excellent, and I'd highly recommend it among the many breakfast/brunch options in town.

I really, really enjoy a good breakfast. Especially when I don't have to make it. I also tend to stay away from places where I have to wait a long period of time to be seated. busy is a good thing, but can be an easy set up for disappointments. With that said, my husband and I went on a Friday morning around 9:30. No wait, sat right down. Woohoo! The only thing that took awhile was trying to figure out what to get! Everything looked great: from the "as big as the moon" pancakes (yes they're huge!), to the avocado toast, to the power bowls. We ended up sharing a blueberry pancake and ordering the market hash (FANTASTIC) and the breakfast scrambler (delicious!) Our waitress was really nice and accommodating to our indecisiveness. We're looking forward to taking my mom when she visits. let's just hope we miss the crowd!

First visit to this place I wanted to see what the hoopla was about. Unfortunately there was little to hoop about. The oj was very good & my server Heather was great first rate job by her! Got the bacon avocado hash with poached eggs was only mediocre at best. Avocado was slight in portion and past its best brown n black all over Server got me more that was fresh but shouldn't of been sent out that way eggs were perfectly cooked though all in all wouldn't try this dish again. 14 bucks not counting tip made this expense for a not so great a breakfast.....5 stars for the Server 2 for the food!

It's like catching up with an old friend who's become more fit and pretty. I used to go to the First Watch in downtown Cincy quite often. Although I always liked what I ordered, but there was only one menu item I truly liked. Well, that has changed for this new First Watch! Not only have they ditched that terrible jarred salsa, they have added so many tasty, yet healthful menu items! I had a hard time choosing just one. The Swisshroom Omelet has real house roasted criminis and plenty of Swiss cheese. The fresh greens are dressed lightly with vinaigrette. Parma Hash comes with your choice of eggs over roasted veggies and sausage. Hubby said he enjoyed eating their multi grain pancakes so much, he'd order them again! The interior is a real breath of fresh air! Gone are the fussy curtains and servers in plaid shirts. It is open and bright with airy custom blinds. There are many whimsical farm decor and that soothing shade of grassy green I love. This First Watch is a real competition for Wild Eggs. I welcome the choices!

Good new breakfast option. The place is bright and cheery with lots of windows and natural light. At around 9:30am on a Sunday morning, First Watch was busy but there was no wait! Sweet. Bonus points. The menu has lots of great choices - there's traditional breakfast items, some creative dishes, and lots of healthy options. I had the Acapulco Express omelet. It was very good, but with so many delicious-sounding options, I'll probably go with something else next time. You can tell everything is fresh here. I really liked the jam that came with the English muffin. The service was quick and efficient. Our meals came out quickly. We were in and out in under an hour. I'm sure this quick turnaround is a key factor in keeping the wait times down. Lastly, our bill was $25 for two people after tip (just two entrees). It's hard to spend less than that for two people anywhere. The prices are on point for this type of place. Remember, this is a higher-end breakfast spot, not a cheap diner.

The first First Watch I ate at, was in Florida. I really liked the food, so I was excited to see one was opening near me, in Louisville. I finally went, this morning. The service, in Florida, was not very good, but I find it is unusual to get excellent service, in Florida. The service at this Louisville location was fast and friendly. I got the Day Glow Juice, from the Fresh Juice Bar. It was almost as good, as the juice my husband makes me, at home. That is saying a lot. If you don't have a juicer at home, or even if you do, you will like it. I got the Market Hash. It was delicious, but it has goat cheese, so of course it is. Be sure to spread some of the delicious jelly they give you, on the English Muffin, and put some of the goat cheese on it. There is enough, on the Hash, that you can easily do this. It is heavenly! My husband had the Bacado omelet. He liked it.

Very disappointed with this place. Usually had a long wait but feel like that is the way that breakfast places here always are at breakfast time. Everything that we ordered was very plain and bland. From the crepe to the potatoes and pancakes, very boring and blah. Not sure wait the excitement and positive reviews are about here. Save your money and pick another breakfast spot. It cost us $30 for two people and we each got an entree and a tea. That is a little ridiculous for bland boring food. The only reason that I gave it two stars was for the service and the healthier menu options. Definitely will not be back!
