Best quesadilla I've ever had (and I've lived in Mexico). Service is fast and the staff are responsive and friendly.

The drinks are large and tasty. And the food is hot and has a good look about it. The taste is fresh. I enjoy the portion size always some to take home. The place is not noisy and is often visited my nurses and doctors. The staff is cute and friendly. I have been here 2 times and when I want to unwind from work this place hits the spot.

Finding the correct entrance can be tricky for newcomers.. that's just a fact, not a complaint. Now for the complaints... I can't see where they do anything very well at all. I have made 2 visits now and I just can't see going back. I can't stress how bland and tasteless the food was. On top of which, it would seem that if you order anything with lettuce, you can't expect your dish to be swimming in water. But I am most angry today because I ordered their super nachos with beef. How in the world can a Mexican place screw up Nachos? Let's start with the fact that I am not sure they had cheese on them. The water they were swimming in wasn't clear exactly so I'm praying to God the water was mixed with Queso ... but there isn't any proof of that. Those who know me know I know Nachos. This was a travesty. And to have the nerve to use the word SUPER in its description? On top of which, the price was $10!!! This would be a middle of the road American-Mexican set down joint at its very best but the fact is, they don't come close to trying. Why do I say that? THEY MESSED UP NACHOS! Messing up the easiest of dishes is a huge RED FLAG! I'd love to be more detailed and maybe I will someday... once I quit being so outraged.

    - fast service - nice and friendly staff - very clean kitchen and restaurant I recommend getting the queso! It was some of the best queso I've had. The food isn't too special, but it's what you expect. I got a chicken burrito, taco, rice and beans. The se

FAST. My roommate and I go in here when we are STARVING- and it gets taken care of quickly. Plentiful salsa and chips for NO CHARGE. Try the marg's. We always get the same thing but they are obliging to switch it up for you if you like. The Quesadilla Verde is my favorite since I get guac. It's delicious. My roommie gets a burrito and has had both cheese sauce and red sauce. She prefers the red. The seniors and senioritas there are really nice to us and rarely judge how fat they can hear us getting as we enjoy their phenomenal food. It is ALWAYS clean, polite, accessible, and perfectly located for the Mellwood (or 'smellwood' as I've heard my neighborhood called- all I can say is WHATEVER to you and your overpriced rent if you don't like Mellwood!) crowd. Four stars. Five later if they become mind readers and get my order BEFORE I ask for it.

Also the worst Mexican food I have ever had! Stay away from this place! Hospitals serve better food than this place!

The worst mexican food I have ever had. The salsa was literally puréed tomato with no seasoning or spice. My group ordered a Burrito and chicken tacos. Burrito was literally chicken and beens, deep fried and topped with nacho cheese sauce. The chicken tacos were extremely dry and wrapped in foil. The server also had no clue what cilantro was?

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
