Chopsticks House is fast-food Chinese, no way around it. But if you are on the west side of Broadway and not feeling like some Mc D's or other fast food options, it's a viable place to stop. I went there for the first time with family about a week or so ago. While the interior is a bit rundown, the food makes up for that. There were soy sauce splatters on some of the furniture. Overall, the restaurant could use a good wipe down. But the food was filling and well made. There are ample options -- most of which are Americanized Chinese food dishes. I got the beef lo mein, which was one of the dinner specials. My boyfriend got the broccoli chicken. All of the entrees were served in styrofoam containers regardless if you are dine in or take out. They also came with an egg roll and fried rice, which looked to be chopped. The rice kernels were smaller than most I've seen, but they still tasted good. It was about $7 for the dinner entrees, which did not break the bank. And the food came out fast. The service was expedient and friendly. What more can you ask for from a fast food option?

The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes.
