A recent change of ownership has this restaurant open seven days a week now. There is a marked improvement in the food, and the whole place feels well-scrubbed and clean! The changes here are ALL for the better. The food is quickly prepared and delicious. If you haven't been here lately, or have never tried the food here, I recommend a visit!

This used to be the best Chinese restaurant I'd ever been to. It had amazing food and even better employees. Recently they changed owners, and everything I loved about this place is gone. The worst thing is that they changed the recipes for everything, and now the food tastes awful. The fried rice used to be delicious, but now it tastes worse than the boxed, frozen fried rice you'd get at the grocery store. It breaks my heart that this place is so bad now. China Castle used to be my #1 favorite Chinese restaurant, but now the food is so subpar that it's not even worth going to.

I have seen this place while running up and down New Cut and was curious. My BF doesn't like Chinese food, and I was out and about without him and had skipped b-fast and it being 2 pm, I was really hungry. So why not? A LOT of reasons why NOT! It was horrible! Fried wontons, while on the menu, when ordered, told they no longer have them. Okay, I see the crab rangoon has been crossed off, so I look for a spring roll...crossed off. I don't see any fried shrimp so I wonder if they just have an aversion to fried food....oh wait, I see an egg roll. In order to get friend rice without onion in it, I have to order the special fried rice that has shrimp, chicken and pork. Well, okay I did that and added an egg roll. The rice comes out and is a dark yellow? Sort of reminds me of what you might find in an Indian restaurant. My mistake was adding a little bit of soy sauce (which you get at a condiment counter out of a big push handle dispenser) without tasting it. Whoa....the rice must have been salty, because now I am eating brine! The shrimp in the fried rice weren't much bigger than larvae and I hope that was chicken and pork! The egg roll was pretty run of the mill but ended up being one of the best I have had in a long time since I was hungry and that was the only thing really edible. Save your time, and money. Just don't do it! I never will again!!!

Didnt like the cashew shrimp but tried again and liked the glazed chicken special. Good food and cheap. Fast too. Will go again soon.

Not a fancy place. Good food, friendly staff and good prices. Had Mongolian Beef for lunch. Tasty! Came with an egg roll and fried rice. Also had won ton soup and a large drink all for $10.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
