First visit. Great environment! Creative and original! Lots of beers on tap and great menu. My "Philly Cheese Steak" was about as far away from Philly as Texas, but it was awesome! Tip: be bold enough to claim your prize.. rename it to the "Brick House Cheese Steak"

I've been to the Brick House twice for our office team lunches. I can consider it as an above the average chain restaurant-- casual, decent food, and nice ambiance. Their drunken chops were to die for! This is because of two reasons: 1. It's super delish! 2. It's a ton of food that you have to be starving to death to be able to devour all of it. I've also tried the kobe burger. Figured it would be like the burgers at Hammerheads. It was alright but not as yummy as that of the latter. In terms of prices, I can say that food is worth what you're paying for. I think that the Brick House is more of a sports bar than a restaurant. They have a long list of beers, liquors, and cocktails. They have quite a number of screens and couches for watching sports events. I gave it a 3 out of 5 because it was good but just not the blow-your-mind-away kind of good. I can't say that I'll be a regular but I recommend you give it a shot at least once your life.

I gotta say with the crowd of people there, you would have thought this place rocked. It was minimally ok at best. We started with the duck wings (we have had better) and the deviled eggs (they were ok but watery and just a weird consistency for us all). One had the fried chicken - he felt the need to drink alot due to dryness. Two had the meatloaf, supposedly a house specialty, with a "meh it's ok but not special" comment. I had the rack of ribs - overcooked and dry at best. When a piece of it breaks off and is so overcooked you can't bite it, that means it sat under some hot lamp way too long. Apparently everyone was there for the drinks, atmosphere and sports on TV, which were all hopping. Our server was super nice, it seemed like a fun place, I would just never recommend eating there when it's busy. I am from out of town so it might be busy all the time, or it was just that evening, I don't know, just "buyer beware" scenario for me.

I like the choices of foods and appetizers. Streamlined menu with unique options. Everything is delicious and the service is very good. I've made it twice since I moved into town and I already know it's going to be one of those places I take out of town folks. Definitely give it a shot!

Good atmosphere, good food reasonably priced, good service. Nothing stellar but I went here twice while in town for a weekend. The menu is different and somewhat "chef inspired", definitely not your standard pub fare. The prices for food and drink were quite reasonable especially when you consider their happy hour and daily specials. I would certainly visit this establishment regularly if I lived in the area!

Beer and adult beverage selection is good, ambiance (while extremely loud and hard to hear) is good, food is just "ok". Good place to go to meet friends for happy hour but it would not be my restaurant of choice for a meal. Also, the sofa booths are nice in concept but I felt like I needed a booster seat so I could sit higher to the table!

All style and no substance to this place. Comfy couches and big TVs do not make up for the lackluster tap selections. All humdrum beer selections--no craft beer to found beyond the obvious. Menu selections read great on the menu, like duck wings, but fail to deliver on promised flavor.

Great bar. Comfy seating choices. Lot's of TV's. Nice outdoor area. Food was really pretty good for a "tavern". A nice pan seared halibut for $17. I can't even buy that in my grocery store for that price. The crowd looked to be part locals and part business travelers. All the staff behind the bar were courteous and quick. An easy-going, enjoyable place to go by yourself or with a crowd.

Busy on a Thursday night. Friendly waitstaff. Good drinks. Loud with younger crowd. Lamb burger was awesome.

Pretty good bar/tavern food and decently priced drinks. I've been to Brick House twice for happy hour now and have left satisfied. I've had a salad and deviled eggs here, both tasty but nothing to write home about. The decor is a classier bar, but still casual. I would recommend for large groups, they have TVs and large tables all over the place. They are also able to split checks without a problem and the service was above average.

I have been here a few times and haven't had a bad meal yet. If you enjoy beers on tap you will really like this place. They have tables, couches , bar stools or you can sit at the bar. Lots of TV's. Ok to bring the kids if its dinner time (if you have rugrats to feed) - Fast service- friendly- great food. a wide variety of beers on tap. In my opinion, its a great place to eat.

I wanted to like this place but after giving it several chances I've decided I won't be back. The food is meh and drinks are overpriced but they do have a nice selection of bourbon. The service is also pretty bad. About the only cool thing I can think of is the patio seating which is usually crowded and takes FOREVER to get service. Overall disappointing. There are certainly better options in the area. I would not recommend.

I was a little nervous bringing my teenage boys here for lunch after church a few weeks ago after reading some early reviews of the servers wearing skimpy clothes and being paid to flirt. They must have changed their dress code because they were all nicely dressed without too much skin showing. The food was delicious. We had deviled eggs and meatloaf sliders for the appetizers. So good. My boys had burgers, and devoured them. I had the halibut which was perfectly cooked. The portions are just the right size. I am not a huge sports fan so the draw of all the TVs in the room would not be conducive to a quiet evening out or a quiet lunch, if that was what I was looking for. I'm sure that place was rocking during the Cats/Cards games! We will definitely go back. They have a pretty extensive menu. I like trying new things at places. Oh, the hangover bloody Mary is delicious! It has a deviled egg, celery for garnish. Yum!

GREAT food and reasonable prices. You will pay a little more for the really nice ambiance. They really invested in seating and decorations. This is a great place to grab a beer and watch a game. The service is not great, but the food is awesome! I highly recommend the fish and chips!!!

I'm a fan; tonight my shrimp weren't cooked correctly and the chef was awesome about it. No restaurant is perfect and i'm glad he was just nice about it and not defensive. This place is cool in my book!

Fun place to hang and watch a game. Great selection of draft choices. Plenty of TVs, very open so you can see everything easily. Nice large patio that opens up into the bar/restaurant area. A place like this down along the river would be a gold mine. I have never really understood why more establishments like this dont also open a location down along the river near downtown.

A repeat customer, love the lamb burgers with awesome tots. Chops are great as is the chicken (enough for lunch the next day), yummy mashed potatoes.

Great place to grab a beer and watch some sports on 50 different TV's. The beer selection was nice and it was only a block from our hotel. You can sit at a table, a booth, or on couches kind of like a booth. We picked the couches. Good choice. I had the drunken pork chops which the hotel recommended. Bad choice, unless you like your pork chops tough and chewy coated in a sweet glaze. They had some other choices on the menu that looked interesting but I'm pretty sure judging from the ice in my salad that everything starts out frozen so don't expect anything fresh. This place is more about fun than food though so bring the kids and enjoy. Oh, did I mention that the waitress's get paid to flirt! Definitely takes your mind off the food. One more thing.... I would suggest staying away from the novel idea of The Beer Bong.

Great meal. I had the duck wings as an app and the Drunken Chops for dinner. Good beer selection and the food was amazing.

A group of us were quoted a wait of an hour and a half, after an hour and 45 minutes we asked about our remaining wait time. We were told that they had been trying to page us and had given away our table. We informed the manager that our pager never went off and no one called our name despite sitting on the porch the entire time. His response was to offer us the table out on the patio or to continue to wait until the next available table. He also took our pager inside and brought out a flashing pager to prove our pager was working. The whole interaction with the manager was ridiculously awful, the customer service was horrible and resulted in us leaving and the manager stomping off in a huff after we told him we weren't waiting any longer. I will never go back!

I'm pretty sure this is one of those places that a publication like Maxim would describe as having "the best fuckin' food, and a sick vibe, bro". If you like breast implants and MMA, posters of scantily clad chicks on hogs, and your t-shirt collection is predominantly decorated with angel wings, skulls and faux-victorian ornamentation, this is your joint. I'm not trying to be a dick; I'm just trying to matter-of-factly state that the Brickhouse Tavern is a little...well, it's a little "bro". But, let's be fair here, any place where ordering chicken means you get an ENTIRE chicken and the beer pitchers are the size of a human leg definitely has its charm. And, most importantly, the food is delicious. I had the jalapeno calamari appetizer with the garlic herb roasted chicken and both were excellent. The beer selection is great and the gigantic beer pitchers are an awesome idea if you're with a crew. The food is what's important and they're doing it right.

Went there for my birthday. Got the lamb burger and was very good. However one person in my group got the chicken and waffles and said it was OK and could have been better. Another member got the grilled chicken salad and also said it wasn't very good. Atmosphere was good especially for sports. Service not so much. Our waitress forgot that it was my birthday and gave us our checks and so we paid. They sang to the table next to me and gave them a dessert. After my fiance reminded them they sang to me but did not give me a dessert. Felt cheated on that part.

This place prides itself on being a "Man Cave". However, I felt right at home. The appetizers are amazing. So come hungry.... "hungryman-hungry". The apps include deviled eggs with bacon and meatloaf sliders. Wash all that down with a tower of 100 oz. of the beer of your choice. Then get ready to tear apart the best meal ever. They have everything from steak to chicken and waffles. Enjoy.

I would like to start by saying I have been to Brick House Tavern+Tap maybe ten times since this location opened and this review is based on a combination of all of my visits. This review may have even been a four star review except for the bad expierience I had there last night. Last night was a different expierience than those I've had there previously. I think our server may have been new and quite inexperienced because she really did a poor job of watching drink refills which is pretty much server 101. She also seemed a little frazzled and kept forgetting things that we asked for that we probably shouldn't have had to ask for to begin with like syrup for the chicken and waffles, silverware, plates for appetizers, and of course refills for our drinks. I also had to send my meal back which is a rarity for me but I ordered a BLT and the bacon on it was basically still raw. Granted I do prefer my bacon to be very very crispy but even my husband said it was too underdone for him and he thinks I tend to overcook bacon at home. Once I found our server to ask her to return the BLT (which took about 15 minutes) she didn't take my plate back to the kitchen which I found odd but she seemed to have the same reaction as I did to the undercooked bacon so I figured she was taking care of it. After about ten more minutes a different server came out with a plate containing two slices of bacon wanting to know who it was supposed to go to and she realized what it was supposed to be for and said that our server must have miscommunicated something to the kitchen but she took my plate back and promised a new sandwich. By this time most of the six other people in our party were close to finishing their meals. I finally got my replacement sandwich and the bacon was perfect thank goodness and our server kept apologizing for the confusion which was not entirely her fault but it did seem to stress her out quite a bit. The rest of the food that our table ordered was very good and everyone enjoyed their meals, even me once I got mine. As I said I have been here several other times as well and our service has always been much better that on our most recent visit. I have also tried many of their different menu items and have never been disappointed with any of it. I would classify the food as somewhat up scale bar food, I live in Germantown so as any of you who are familliar with Getmantown know, I know true bar food. I'm not saying the food at Brick House is superior to true bar food just fancier versions of some of the classics. I would also like to add that while I wouldn't classify this place as kid friendly (they do not have highchairs FYI) I also would say that for kids maybe 10 and up it's fine assuming they can order from the regular menu. The waitresses used to dress in rather skimpy clothing (though more conservative than Hooters) but on my two most recent trips they were all wearing jeans and v neck polo shirts, maybe a little tight and somewhat low cut but certainly not slutty. Maybe they have changed their dress code a bit. I have also never seen any of the girls flirt with the male customers as some other reviewers have stated. I will definitely be back and hopefully if I ever have our most recent server again she will have a little bit more expierience and be a little better prepared!

This is where the Hooter girls start out. This place is selling alcohol and sex. It is the training ground for barely 21 year old women who eventually work for Hooter's or another bar where you don't need to wear to much clothing. Very cool looking place. Outdoor patio, fire pits, nice decor. Very beautiful and expensive looking layout. All kinds of alcohol, little, medium, big, or blinding sizes to pick from. On to the food. We tried many of the appetizers and they were okay. Nothing special, just okay. This is a great place for the under 30 crowd and the over 40 crowd who wants to feel under 30 again. Well, that works after you drink their signature 100 oz beer bong. No joke, they actually offer this option. Rockstar would not be thrilled with this place so I will not even suggest it if she is travelling with me to Louisville, but there are others who might find it very entertaining. I am glad I checked it out. They are new and need the support. Fun concept with potential.

I went to Brick House for the first time on a Sunday to eat an early dinner and watch an afternoon NFL game. I was immediately impressed by the vibe of the place - the booth seats are small sofas, there's a huge fireplace in the middle of the restaurant, and there are armchairs in front of many of the TVs. We had the Greek meatballs to start and they were delicious 2-bitefuls. For dinner I had the Drunken Chops which may have been the best pork chops I've ever had. Only finished one of the two chops and took the other one home with me. I also tried the Mac and Cheese which was tasty, and spicy! Be warned of that one, because if you can't handle spicy, you won't finish it. I will definitely be back here for more football games due to the high number of TVs, but the food is also worth a visit!

The Brickhouse was a good place to go for a drink and appetizer. The chicks do have skimpy outfits, but it seems to be to show off their latest Tats as opposed to other anatomical features, unlike, say a certain Celtic sports bar I stopped by recently. When I first sat down at the bar,I thought I was being ignored, but Racheal, the bartender apologized for not seeing me while mixing other drinks and pouring beers.I realized it was because the sun was behind her and I was but a shadow(I wish this was more often the case). After that, she took my order and was attentive, keeping my glass full of Sam Adams and checking on my culinary needs. The food menu looks fine.I had the deviled eggs and they were okay, but mine are better. Short story, long.Good place to go but there are better places to go for good beer and better food.

Great joint- I just had the wings, but lots of tasty looking menu items. Lots of beers on tap, I had the New Albany Hoptimus Imperial IPA. Wings and beers were great, very good service. Give it a try.

The food is decent. Wife loves the chicken and waffles with a beer. A lot of TVs and comfy seats. They don't seem to want to turn tables over and will let people watch a whole game. Kind of frustrating if you are the one waiting on the table.

My friend and I went to Brick House for a few drinks - it was a nice place to kick back on a Friday night and sip drinks, enjoy good pub food while catching some sporting event on the telly. Most of the appetizers are fried so it's not for the health conscious; however, the "Blue & white chips" are unbelievably yummy - house made chips, bleu cheese crumbles & white queso. We were not overly hungry so we didn't order any entrees but I must admit the food looked very appetizing. The service was very good. I'll definitely go back...

I will NEVER go to this place again! The floors are extremely slippery! I slid and hurt my did something to my knee. The GM and Assistant Manager had me fill out a report. I asked them what information I needed to get X-rays on my knee (I am currently using crutches). They told me they would take care of me and pay for it..They gave me the Regional Managers cellphone so i could find the info I needed. Well the Regional Manager told me that they were not liable for my medical bills... He said it was MY fault that I fell. Your own servers and hostess told me they fall all the time and that they need to get a new floor because people fall often! This is just ridiculous. So THANKS for making me spend over $1000 on X-Rays!!!! Our company will NOT bring our business once a week to your company anymore!!!

Food was fine albeit salty. Everybody commented on their food being "salty" but the atmosphere was fine (comfortable seating) except for the server's outfits. Slutty. No other way to put it. Glad the kids weren't with us. It's basically a nicer version of a Hooter's I guess. Definitely an "adult crowd" type place, no place for kids or teens. We won't be back. Also, I thought it was a microbrew type place but it's not, they have a big brew list but it's not their own. I can get it most of those beers someplace else... and I will.

Fantastic decor, surroundings, and atmosphere. Staff was friendly, cheerful, and eager to please. Appetizers were served quickly and piping hot and flavorful. Soft pretzels with Queso dip, mustard, and Jalapeno sauce was particularly good. First time here but will certainly seek out if I see on road again when traveling.

Pretty cool atmosphere and ample drink choices. The food selection was very interesting. Sloppy Joes and meatloaf sliders as well as cheesesteaks and burgers. Nice change of pace menu that is an expansion of the traditional bar food. Give it a try if you are looking for something new. Not sure that it is a Hooter's girl in training place, but the servers definitely had some short shorts on.

Went here for a work lunch. It's not bad, but not really my scene. Kind of a cross between an O'Charley's and a Hooters. Food was good, price was middling, service was decent.

definitely try the defiled eggs, could have a wider beer selection, but they do have 25beers on draft!

This location has been many different restaurants, but I hope this one stays around for a while. The beer is served a little different than most places which is kind of cool and they have plenty of choices and some specials. The atmosphere is different with couches and a man cave. Menu is simple with their own take on typical bar food. Some different choices you won't find anywhere else plus breakfast options served all day. Must try the deviled eggs and meatloaf sliders. As for the servers, it is really not needed. Let them wear jeans and a t-shirt if they want. The place is good enough to make it on their food and sports theme alone. Two final notes. First of all the seating needs to be more organized, i think it is open seating but it just makes you feel lost when you walk in. Lastly the one reason I don't go there more often is the location. The light to get in and out of there is annoying long to say the least. I can honestly say it has come down to if the light is green or not to decide if I eat there.

Too loud, mediocre beer selection and a boring, all fried menu. Nice building design and layout. Turn the music down, add 6-10 rotating taps and throw out the current menu and I'll come back.

First time here. There were lots of people on a Wednesday night. Maybe tat is the norm. Service was ok and friendly. Food was ok; nothing to write home about. The burgers come in rectangles instead of round or square patties. I had the black and bleu burger. The meat was tasteless. Atmosphere was nice. Huge selection of draft and bottled beer. That might be enough to return again and give the place another try.

I must say I was excited when this restaurant came to town as I had really enjoyed it while visiting IL. I anxiously went to this location and I was completely let down. The service was slow and not very excited to be serving us. The food was far below their other location I have tried and the beer was just cool, not cold. I have eaten many appetizers and several different entrees and I am just not impressed. The mini burgers at the IL location were the best I've had anywhere. I have been back 5 times, once with a large group from work and another with a friend who went with me to the IL location and it's been the same every time so far. I am disappointed with this one because I had such great experiences with the other one. I got a free burger for my birthday and I will not be using it. If all you are after is eye candy you may like this one but there is another option not too far away and they have much better food and cold beer. I may give this place one more chance but that's it. If I get average food and below average service I will not be a patron.

My review is solely based off of Sunday brunch. Our service was quick and courteous. Mimosas are $2 however you can now order carafes of mimosas for $10 each. Really, it isn't financially superior because there are about five in each carafe but for convenience it is nice. I ordered the French toast and my boyfriend order the southern fried chicken benedict (or something like that). My French toast was good, soft and perfectly browned. The potatoes were the only part I wasn't very impressed with. The friend chicken Benedict was incredible! The best chicken I've had in Louisville quite possibly. It was moist (yes, I know we all hate that word), and wonderfully crispy with a little kick. The hollendaise sauce paired perfectly. And to top it off they give a side of cheesy potatoes (with a more elegant name and presentation). I cannot wait to come back to try there other options. Keep it up, Brickhouse!

Once again I am conflicted. 2 stars is specifically directed towards the amazing food. Whatever you do, don't sit at the bar and expect service unless you wave your arms a lot or make lots of noise. The worst bar staff I have ever seen in such a great restaurant. Either they are too busy fulfilling the drink orders for the entire restaurant or they are just oblivious to the patrons at the bar. When you do finally get the attention of the bar staff they are pretty awesome and accommodating... If you get their attention.

We've been to brickhouse multiple times for brunch, lunch, happy hour and late night dining. Their kitchen doesn't close until 1am which is a nice find since every other restaurant in that area is closed by 11pm. Happy hour through the week is dirt cheap and delicious. $3 beer/well, $6 wine and $5-7 for snacks. Try the duck wings, you won't be disappointed! Weekend brunch includes $2 mimosas, chicken and waffles and a scrumptious crispy duck hash. On this visit we did the meat and cheese board as an appetizer, which had some really good gouda and goat cheese on it. I ordered the bison burger with cajun seasoned fries. This rivals BBC's bison burger with juiciness and flavor. I'm usually not a bacon person but the combination of candied bacon, jalapeño mayo and the brioche bun are a homerun. I definitely recommend this place for any meal. The vibe is very man cave-ish but it's not off putting and is welcoming to families and large groups.

The atmosphere is great. It is somewhere different but not over the top. Their food was great, service was excellent. Beer and drinks were always ready to be replenished and as soon as I was finished with a plate someone was clearing it off the table. Overall, just a great unique experience!

"Women and cats will do as they please; men and dogs should relax and get used to it." When you walk into the Brick House Tavern + Tap you'll be greeted with a flurry of ironic tough guy quotes stenciled on the walls. The back wall spells out "MAN CAVE" in large Irish tavern style letters. Although Brick House looks a bit like an Irish pub and touts itself as a *teensy* bit of a man's man restaurant, it's pretty "modern hipster" on the inside. Woven gray chairs, exposed brick walls, and old timey lettering make up the inner sanctum with of the restaurant with exposed wood ceilings. Michael McDonald and Sting are playing in the background. It was quiet for 12:30 on Saturday. Now to the important part: Let me start off by saving the service here is amazing. The servers know what they're about. They make fantastic recommendations. They know the food AND they even give you great recommendations on how to eat it. For example, we ordered the Asian duck wraps as an appetizer (which is easily the best appetizer I've had in years-- don't skip it. Seriously DO NOT SKIP IT. It may be their best dish.) The wraps come with the fixings separated but (with good reason). Our server was sure to tell us to put the wonton strips inside the wrap. He was right. It was fantastic. I love a place with knowledgable, personable staff. My entree, the chicken sandwich-- was fantastic. It tasted hand breaded and the chicken didn't taste frozen. The sauce was tangy and delicious. It was a carnival of yummy tavern flavors. The gun show burger was giant! A juicy, fresh meat pattie on a hoagie style bun with an egg on top. Excellent and quality ingredients. The tater tots and fries are equally delicious no matter which you choose. The portions are HUGE -- take home boxes were absolutely necessary. And for my tea freaks: the tea is excellent. We had 7 glasses between the two of us. It was awesome. Try it out. You won't be disappointed. We'll be back very soon.

The prices are LOW and the food is great. It's not that I'm surprised to have good food at a tavern but it was very very delicious and exceeded expectations. The chicken and waffles are good but the waffles are really what sets it off. The chicken was just okay but the combination with syrup was excellent. It was so good that we got an extra waffle. The ribs were mostly great but there are a few parts that may have been on a odd side of the grill because it picked up a little flavor. Delicious fries with and Texas toast. The ribs were cooked perfectly and fell right off the bone. I'm totally pleased with the quantity of food as well. Shareable portions. Love the atmosphere. Couches at table are a little odd to sit in because they're low but very relaxing and comfortable. Loving all of the televisions around and the wrap around porch and fireplaces. The service was fine. Slow to get the beer to start with but our waitress (Sara) was knowledgeable and helped with selection. Made great suggestions regarding the waffles and ribs.

Anytime I feel like drinking a cold brew (or two), chowin' down on some pub food and then head home for a nice cozy nap, I usually head here. My husband and I have been here several times and each time the service has improved. The first few times were a little shaky, then the food would be subpar, etc ... but it seems like the last few times we've gone, they've upped their game. I definitely recommended the deviled eggs (and/or a bloody Mary ... So good!). The sweet & spicy tails are ridiculously awesome, too. You really can't go wrong. Their burgers have definitely gotten better but I Love ordering the chicken & waffles. Sweet, salty comfort food! Mmmm!! We can usually get in right away, but then again we're Sunday afternoon drinkers. So more than likely after sitting by the fire (yes, a fire indoors ), having a full belly of chicken & waffles, sweet & spicy tails and a few bloody Mary's, I'm not worth anything the rest of the day. And that's ok with me I've also noticed that a majority of the time we get our checks, a survey is attached! Very cool! It's a quick survey you do online and you get a FREE appetizer the next time you come In. Heck yes!

Had nothing but good experiences at Brick House Tavern & Tap. The menu isn't terribly diverse but the food is all good, stopping just a hair short of great maybe but there isn't anything I haven't liked. The beer selection is very solid (though their menu lies and says they have Boddington's on tap which I have NEVER successfully obtained after a dozen visits). I want to a second to really narrow in on one thing that I often gloss over though, and that is the service. I have always had great service at this place and that includes late nights with large groups, the service has been great every time. That is really hard for a restaurant like this (or really any) to pull off in my opinion and while I'm usually very forgiving and understanding, I've never had to be here. Keep up the good work.

Came here for Sunday lunch/brunch and was not expecting anything spectacular...boy was I surprised. The best part are the $2 mimosas. They have good brunch options and I chose the smoked salmon benedictine. The sauce had a little bit of spice, the fried egg was nice and runny, the salmon patty was well flavored and the brioche bun was buttery and sweet, yum yum yum! Go there immediately!!!

Great food and atmosphere!! Beers on tap were outstanding. Bourbon selection is very good. I had the bison pizza that was very good. The pep pizza was devoured by my college son. Pretzel app and zucchini app were both outstanding !! We will be back!

Busy place with great atmosphere and unique space. Our server was top-notch and the food was super tasty. Next time I'm in town BHT+T will get my repeat business.

My new fave place for brunch in Louisville!! I was with a party of 4 and we all ordered different dishes to allow us to sample as much as possible! The Southern fried chicken Benedict was amazing! The hollandaise sauce on this dish had just enough sriracha sauce to give it a fantastic flavor! The chicken was perfect.... Fried to a golden brown, tender and juicy and just a little heat! The chicken and waffles ..... also fantastic! Just be warned, it's enough food for 2! Meatloaf and eggs is an interesting breakfast dish. The meatloaf was a blend of Italian and breakfast sausage. The mushroom gravy was a nice touch to add an unexpected flavor! I understand that the Bison Benedict was also very tasty but I was so full I couldn't even manage a bite!! It's definitely worth a trip! Best brunch I've had in a few years!!

Surprised to find a sit down, elegant atmosphere that opened the kitchen until 1am. The Pretzels and mustard fresh and warm, yummy! Great memu options and reasonably priced. Tried the Bison Pizza which was pretty good. An outstanding experience with our Bartender. She was simply gracious, attentive and enjoyed what she did. She offered suggestions and even went above and beyond to provide us with an outstanding service! Kuddos to her motivation and initiative. Defintely going back! Highly recommended.

We came here Friday night, where we met up with my family as we were all in town for a wedding. I think the wedding party had their rehearsal dinner here. Anyways, the food was delicious! They were very busy. The drinks were good, too.

I want to thank you for an amazing meal. The fried chicken and rib combo was one of the best meals I've had in ages. Please open one in the Detroit area! If anyone is questioning where to go eat, this is it!

Everything was great here! we sat on the patio and it was great. The atmosphere is different, but nice. We started with the fried zucchini; it was delicious! We got the grinder and the fish and chips as well. Both were good. Real decent prices for the food portions, which is def nice for out of town-ers. It was also in walking distance from our hotel which was a plus too. Would def come back if ever in town again

I have been here twicw. The first time was awesome, however the second visit was not as good. The girlfriend and I met some friends for lunch. It was a nice day out, and we wanted to sit at the patio. We waited at hostess station for several minutes with no one there. Luckily our friends knew one of the bartenders and gave us the Okay to sit outside. We then waited several minutes for our server and had to get food menus at the bar. After our server came buy, we got to watch our drinks set for at least 10 minutes at the bar. When we finally got our food, several dishes were not what any of us ordered. I got the bones and beans, which was really good. While not enough to deter me from visiting again, hopefully the service will be better. Food and drinks were awesome, but service needs work.

First time visiting and glad we came. My wife's hairdresser recommended it as she loves the brunch so we came to the Saturday brunch. We started with $2 Mimosas and a Bloody Mary. The bloody Mary was topped with a skewer stick with cheese, meat, olive and a deviled egg. Good stuff. It was game day so they had a special for $6 on the meatball apps so we order that which brought us 5 varieties of meatballs. For the meal we had the Duck Hash and the smoked salmon Eggs Benedict. The drinks were made correctly and the food was delicious. Service was OK as fast and friendly but could have been better as we had to ask for plates and knives with our appetizers. The decor and ambiance was nice and the fireplaces were nice as there was a nip in the air. Overall a good experience and will definitely return!

TVs, fireplace, bar, beer and frankly some of the best looking men I've seen watching sports in awhile (so yes ladies, the view is nice). Snack was their Deviled Eggs. They had bacon, jalapeno and paprika. I ate them and I liked it. A lot. Dinner was their Drunken Chops. Holy mother of pork those darn things were tender, juicy and flavorful. I thought I was going to have to unbutton my jeans to finish my meal. Then I remember... oh yeah room full of hotties, must act like I have manners. So I took one to eat at home or in the car. Which ever struck me first. My dinner date ordered the Steak and Eggs and he left none on his plate. He's a pig like that. We watched hockey, stared at dudes and the fireplace while trying to make sure my jeans zipper and button did it's job. All in all, great meal, great service and throughly enjoyed it.

When you walk into the Brick House - the floor plan offers a variety of seating options. Form a couch/fireplace setting, stand up with high tables, traditional seating or at the bar. It's an industrial feel - and certainly comes alive after 5 p.m. The Brick House is known for a variety of beers and bourbon selections (proudly listed on the wall - huge variety) and has great food from traditional like burgers, wraps, salads, ribs, fired, etc. to southern favorites like Chicken Fried Steak and other southern favorites. The place can meet any taste and food selection to satisfy the whole family. The burgers and fries are well presented, cooked to perfection and fresh. Appetizers plentiful and served quickly. Our server was knowledgeable and gave great suggestions - only flaw - she mixed up some of the order items, like I ordered a white wine and I got the same brand, but in Red. The red ended up being very good - so I stuck with it. The place was packed and busy. The only drawback to the place - incredibly noisy when full or there are groups/parties. The place is industrial/warehouse like setting with high ceilings, cement floors, steel mixed in with wood and metal trimming - so it can get loud quick. The beer selection is impressive with a variety of ways to enjoy it. The tall table flask with tap allows your table to serve themselves. Prices are very reasonable and great for a quick bite or a full meal - with options to customize as you need. A great hang out place after work or time to socialize with friends.

If you're a dude and want a place with no women, this is the place for you. My first impression was the MASSIVE front door and lobby, this place is HUGE. In typical guy fashion, everything is larger than life. I can tell their market is 30-50 year old men and they captured it well. The hosts were very nice, my girlfriend and I went around 1 and there were maybe 5 tables of people so they let us pick either a couch, booth, table, bar or outside. We chose a couch which was a little awkward to get in to but comfortable. I ordered the meatloaf and she ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The meatloaf was fairly dry, I asked for barbecue sauce on the side which helped. I also asked for it without the gravy (but that shouldn't be what they rely on for moisture). It could have been the time of day we went but either way I won't be ordering it again. The potatoes were very good, however. Her sandwich was delicious, the breading wasn't too heavy, the chicken was moist and crispy, and they have this great mildly spicy sauce that they put on it. We got angry orchard on tap which is always refreshing. Ultimately I would go back to this place simply because of the service. The sexist, hyper-masculine wall quotes and atmosphere were very off-putting but I understand that I am not their target audience. It basically seemed like a middle class hooters with uniforms that cover more.

wow! What a wonderful way to seal the Louisville KY experience and head home! BH is like a Bar Louie, only taken up a few notches. The staff are **beyond** Southern charm friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to attend to our party of 3 on a Monday just past the lunch rush (but still with several tables going at it, food and drink wise). The look and feel is industrial, yet warm, with a cool mixture of the most comfortable sofas at the table, or leather look "recliners" (made for one person with drink holders, but don't really recline), and a beautiful (functioning) fireplace inside as well as outside. We filled up on apps (spicy shrimp, stuffed fried olives (to die for!!!), deviled eggs (to die for, twice), buffalo chicken something or other, and a chicken dish served on top of fries with 3 sauces. Friend's soup was "broccoli" and we thought "Ok, it will be broccoli cheese" and the server said, "no, but it has cheese on top" -- anyway, it was a cup of broccoli bisque, maybe with a tad of artichoke in it, but it was good. A bowl would have been too filling. Food was plated artfully and the whole vibe elevated our day. Bloody Marys were served with no garnish, which was a let down, but the sweet young server brought us all the olives we could eat and celery and lemons/limes (so small set back there). Water was refilled and they have a checkout system that will split your tab evenly however many ways you want it (i.e., 3 ways, equally for a party of 3), which was helpful. Bathrooms were swank and clean with eye candy on the walls for the ladies to enjoy in the ladies room (picture forthcoming) I wish I lived closer, BH, you would be my home away from home.

I came to Brick House Tavern & Tap after work one evening to meet a friend for a couple of beers and some appetizers and I can definitely say I was not disappointed. The beer selection is quite extensive and the prices are more than reasonable. I also like the setup in this bar. They have some movie theatre seats and benches surrounding big screen tvs for some game watching, they have restaurant seating, bar seating, and outdoor patio seating, including an outdoor bar. There are tv screens everywhere, which makes this place an ideal place to watch any game! The food was just as good. We split the deviled eggs, the spicy tails (salty and savory shrimp), and the cheese and meat board. They do not skimp out on quality or portions. My favorite were the deviled eggs because they had bacon and a hint of jalapeno! Yum! I also need to applaud the service during this review. My friend managed to spill her first and full beer twice- not a little bit, but the entire beer spilt twice. By the second one, everyone on the patio was laughing at her, including myself; the server handled it very professionally and even comped the first beer. We figured we should handle the second one, which we did. The service, food, prices, and ambiance here make this place a nice spot for game watching, after work drinks, or an evening out. I highly recommend!

Brick House is kind of like the ultimate sports bar. Lots of TVs with all of the games, a really great menu with some original items, and the food is outstanding. It's big, open and comfortable with a variety of seating options. Some of my favorite menu items: Sweet & Spicy Tails, White Meat Chicken Bites, Bleu and White Chips, Drunken Pork Meatballs. Burgers are pretty average, not a fan of the rectangular shape, although I'm not sure why. Service is hit or miss. There are some outstanding servers and some who don't seem to care. But that is not unusual in today's world. My server today, Austin, was on top of his game. Great job dude! Bottom line: I enjoy watching football here and what I remember after I leave is the tasty food! Come and enjoy!

Had the pepperoni pizza and cheeseburger with tots. Our food was delicious. Our server Mike was sweet and attentive. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and the incredible breeze as we ate (minus the smoke lol). We will be back again many times I'm sure.

Really fun place, good staff goes the extra mile and are attentive. Ask for extra sauce if you order zucchini which was swear! Good burgers and tots. Negative The patio is open air to the whole place, people step out to smoke and the breeze draws it in across the whole restaurant.

Brick house does many things right, and just needs a few touches to hit the 5 star mark. Atmosphere- simply put it feels cool inside the restaurant. Great hard and soft seating. You can sit on a couch around a table of 4 or choose to sit at scomfy chair and catch the big game. Bar Menu- I'm in Louisville, I get it, but while I love all things whiskey my wife does not. I wish more local bars had a few more options for her tastes (vodka/rum, not necessarily fruity). She didn't want to do the Zombie even though it sounded delicious. Might have been the warning of "max 2" per guest that scared her away. I picked a couple beers off the craft list, lots of nice local options as well as well respected national crafts. They do true cask beer (British style). I will have to try next time. Good- kudos to the kitchen team. Chicken and waffles was good. Would have been nice to see a twist on the waffle to elevate the dish (can I get some pink peppercorns), but it was yummy. Wife had the meatloaf, wrapped on prosciutto BTW. I was lucky to get a fork full as she was protecting it like the last supper. A sure some of something good. Service- she did ok, just that. Knew menu, refilled the drinks, etc. Just wanted a little effort or extra touch. Personality was missing from the experience. I fear she judged me by my two children joining us for dinner. Which leads me to Kids- 1 star here. If my kids are happy and entertained we can stay longer= eat/drink more. The kids menu allows you to write a fun story, but while the 6yr old liked it, the 4 yr old wanted crayons or something more. I get it, your a bar with good food, but try it and I would imagine some revenue growth. If you don't want me to stay late and ruin the vibe, run some specials for them to get me in and out early. Overall very pleased, we will be going back often I think.

We LOVED the Brick House! The deviled eggs were to die for!!!! Our server Eli made it a truly enjoyable experience. Request him and a couch if possible so you can lie down after you stuff your face with a bacon BBQ cheeseburger. 10/10 would stuff again

This place has great food and drink options. I found myself searching for a meal after getting into Louisville late because of delayed flight. Staying at the Hyatt Place they swore to me this place was a winner and they were correct. Great service and surprisingly awesome menu. The bartender recommended the pork chop and it did not disappoint. Great cut of meat with a slight teriyaki glaze that was perfect. I also saw some other items around me that looked good. The cheese, meat and olive plate and these mini fried shrimps that looked good if I was not eating alone. I repeated the next day for lunch and enjoyed comfortable couches to watch college football and eat the bbq duck pizza and was very happy with it. My only real complaint was there was less duck than I would have hoped for on it. I highly recommend this place and think it is much more than a sports bar with a fancy menu.

I really want to give Brick House 4 stars because the food is good but unfortunately, the service this last visit was not 4 star worthy. My boyfriend and I met a couple of friends here on a beautiful Sunday for a late lunch and drinks. We arrived around 3:30 and sat ourselves out on the patio as there was no hostess to be seen. My friends knew the bartender so he gave us menus as it was a while before we saw our waitress. Once our drink orders were finally placed, we watched as they sat on the bar for 10 minutes before we ever saw our waitress again. When she finally came back, I ordered the Bison Burger with tots. Our food came out promptly but was delivered with 2 dishes that no one in our party ordered. That being said, the bison burger was yummy and the tots were nice and crispy. I'll give Brick House another chance because I like the food and I love the atmosphere. Hopefully they can solve these service issues!

This has become our favorite restaurant. The service is amazing even when they are packed. They accommodate food allergies with no issue. Everything we have ever gotten on the menu is good. Really great beer and bourbon selection. Large groups are no problem and they take reservations. The best is the service, they take it upon themselves to know you try hard to remember their regulars. It is a must try.

The drinks are FANTASTIC. A bit spendy but worth it. They are very original and delicious. We didn't try the food but the menu is probably one of the yummiest I'm read. We are going back for food next time 100%. The atmosphere was very inviting and the multiple fire places made it extra cozy. Staff was neither friendly nor rude- just there. That was our only negative. They should be nicer and more attentive. But we sat at the bar and enjoyed our evening very much here. It's now one of my favorite places to go in Louisville.

Every time I have been here the food and service has been fantastic! Granted, I've always been here for meetings only (drinks + appetizers) but everything has been on par. The service was fantastic with servers being attentive but not pushy trying to get us to order more drinks or food. Not to mention the atmosphere is relaxed, but also very modern. We sat at a booth (which was really just two couches with a table conveniently in the middle) and it was so comfy I didn't mind how much longer the meeting was going to be. Will be returning one day to see if dinner is as good as the appetizers!

The brickhouse tavern is a very unique restaurant in the sense that it's kind of a upscale sports bar. I came into my experience with very high expectations. Having said that. The pizza was very good. And everything seemed to be very quality. The thing I like the most was the very open and relaxed atmosphere. But I did not give it 5 stars because the service was pretty poor. Our hostess was just rude from the start and our waitress didn't know the menu at all.

First off, best lamb burger in town. The beer bongs are a great value. They equal 8 beers. For instance, that makes Guinness around $4 a pint. Now the rest - Trendy bar; normally loud college kids who think they are God's gift. Food portions are a joke. I paid $11 bucks for the lamb burger. I got like 9 tater tots. Really, couldn't give me like 12? Lol! Service is slow. I only tipped well because the waitress was sexy and was showing belly.

Oh where to start.. Let me first admit that I initially was surprised at how excellent the food is here. The first time I came here was the result of my normal Wildcat Basketball viewing restaurant being over booked and this place is around the corner from it. I cringed when my fellow "Girls" suggested we come here because I had heard of what the female servers wore as their "Uniform" and I just wasn't interest in a low budget Hooters. Anyway we agreed to come here and the place was packed because UK was playing U of L but we somehow got three seats at the bar very quickly... Okay. Cool. First let me just let you know that the uniforms have changed. I no longer have to worry about barely contained boobs flopping in my face. The atmosphere is totally family friendly. As I started reviewing the drink menu, I must say I was impressed with the martini menu and their use of Bourbon. I ordered a top shelf Margarita and it was exceptionally made. Onto the food menu. I had no preconceived expectations on the food quality and would have been fine no matter what what brought. I thought my cocktail was pretty decent and resonably priced so I ordered a few appetizers and started watching the game. When my food arrived, I was surprised - Oh my goodness, the food was amazing! I have been a supporter ever sense. Fast forward to today. I came in to try brunch for first time. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken Benedict but substituted their homemade breakfast sausage for the chicken and got the sriracha hollandaise sauce on the side. I also ordered a side of cheddar potatoe hash. I was soooooooooo good! Also guess what Grand Marnier Mimosas are only $4 #Winning

Great bar for grownups. I recently found out this bar has given up its "Hooters" ways and covered up. I applaud their efforts to remember the other half of the paying (and dining decision-making) public. One look at their menu and I was interested. And they are open until 1AM even on a weekday! That is so hard to come by in this part of town. The restaurant must have put away some of the stuff that would offend this half of the dining party. Its design is clean, minimalistic, masculine. Big chairs, big benches, comfy(!) bar stool and nice booths fill the room. They even have recliners in front of big TVs. The covered patio is really awesome on this breezy evening. The open fire place must add much to the ambiance on chilly nights. The clientele this evening consisted of mainly business people, some couples and single diners. No hipsters were sighted! I ordered the lamb burger. It was juicy, ample and not "lamby" at all. Hubby was so happy to be able to order filet and eggs for dinner. Though the steak was a thin cut, it was juicy and cooked medium just like he wanted. And he thought it was so funny cuz you can order a '40 here! Ha! The way they serve a PBR was also hilarious: it comes in a tiny paper bag for your shame?? Not sure, but we like their humor and we will be back.

Been here a few times. Once for a birthday party, others just for dinner and drinks. The entertainment area up front that you can rent out is pretty sweet. Very comfy chairs and flat screen tvs. Have tried the SPIKED CALAMARI which is very good w dipping sauce. Favorite item on the menu though are the DRUNKEN PORK MEATBALLS . Homemade ground pork meatballs, bacon, buttermilk, tabasco ® with whiskey bbq glaze, jalapeno bacon cornbread & fried shallots. Everything else that is not the chicken and waffles is just ok here. But this item is a must have if you visit here. Great place to watch the games.

I almost gave the Brick House two stars, but since it is a Tavern + Tap (not just a restaurant), and I was pleased with their drinks, I bumped it to three stars. The good: Great beer selection, unique cocktails, awesome atmosphere. The bad: The food, the prices. I would definitely come back to Brick House to hang out and enjoy a drink. However, I will never chose to come here for the food. It's a shame that the food is so bad and overpriced, because all the other aspects of the tavern are pretty cool. My husband and I came here on a Sunday to watch football, drink beer, and grab a bite. They have a large selection of beer, as well as some neat sounding cocktails. Let me add that, although they do have tons of beer, they did not have one single porter, which is my husband's favorite. I drank an Angry Orchard and an Angry Snake Bite, which is Angry Orchard and Guinness. My husband had a Black & Tan and a Bangin' Brunette, which is a Sam Adams and Guinness. We got the 16 oz of each, which were around $5 a piece. Great beer. We were there around noon and they were serving brunch at the time, which did look delicious and well portioned, but we decided to go with lunch since we were drinking beer. We started off with fried calamari as an appetizer. It was served with cherry peppers and marinara sauce. I'd rate the calamari a C: it was decent but nothing spectacular. For our meal, we like to order two things to split. We picked the Kobe burger and the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, which both had amazing descriptions leading me to believe we were going to have an awesome meal. The food came out and we were both shocked by the portions. The $14 Kobe burger was no more than 4 or 5 ounces of meat. We ordered the Kobe medium. It was very well done, almost burned. One of the reasons we picked the Kobe was because the description said it had Brie cheese on it. There was no Brie cheese on the burger. I asked the waitress if she could bring me a sliver, since it appeared it was left off. She came back and explained that she couldn't bring me any cheese because they freeze the Brie and then melt it on top of the burger. Why would anyone do that? If that was the case, the Brie was so thin and charred onto the burger that you definitely couldn't taste it. I'd rate the Kobe burger an F. The cheesesteak was okay. Not horrible, but definitely nothing to get excited about. The portion was a little better than the burger. One thing that I didn't like about it is that the bun was not toasted at all. It was just served on a soft hoagie roll. You'd think at a restaurant like the Brick House, they would at least know to toast the bread. I'd rate the Philly Cheesesteak a C. Our tab was $70 after tip, and we left disappointed with the meal. This is definitely a cool place to grab a drink, but I would recommend finding food elsewhere.

Our apartment used to be near this place and we miss going as often as we used to go. This place has a long beer list and really good food. Their happy hour specials are really good and the atmosphere is laid back and fun. I'm not a huge fan of eating while you're sitting on couches but other people seem to like it and you don't have to sit at a couch table if you don't want to. For people wanting to watch games, it's a great place with lots of TVs spread out everywhere.

A very 'chain' joint and I am sure it is, but we really like this place. Comfortable with a good menu. Bourbon list is weak and floors were greasy feeling, but I don't eat of the floors. Servers have always been great. Duck salad was good. Meat was cold and I prefer it hot, but it was good.

Wow. Down for Vball tourney and found on yelp. Great selection of beer and wine. Food was fantastic. Had the Mac cheese, southern fried chicken sandwich and fried shrimp special. Ok easy food but it was all great. Need to try the brick oven pizza next.

Food is delicious! Happy hour specials are wonderful, but you have to ask about them!! But I can't give it five stars due to my recent trip there to enjoy the unusually warm March weather and wanting to sit outside to enjoy the weather! The patio which is quite closed off ALLOWS SMOKING!! My party of three was at a large table and and group of two sat at the other end, and smoked! I DON'T want to smell, breath or be exposed to a smoker's second hand smoke. I was shocked at how many smokers were there! YUCK!!!! Must find a better place to enjoy the FRESH air!

I have always been curious about this place, so we tried it last night. The Kobe burger was delicious, & the Tots were crispy. Mike's BBQ Bacon burger was okay & did not have enough BBQ. The Succotash was over cooked. The chicken & waffles looked wonderful. They do not offer a flight. Haven't been to a tap house that doesn't, so just had water. The 100 oz. beer bongs were fun to watching being carried to tables. This is definitely a sports bar-TV's, loud music, loud voices. They have loveseats pulled up to tables. Most of the tables were occupied by men. There were a few families & couples. Probably a good hang out for guys. Probably won't be back.

Found this place while visiting and enjoyed the atmosphere and menu options!! The food was good ( not great), however great selection of beers on Tao including some local brews. The staff was great and nice place altogether..

I don't think I have ever given 4 stars to a bar for food so this is a first. My table ordered a lot of food and I tried everything. First, the beer is amazing and the choice seemed endless. Second, the food...bleu and white chips were house made chips with bleu cheese crumbles and white queso was scrumptious, house baked soft pretzles were also very good with queso, zucchini curls with parm and sirracha ranch was also cooked perfectly and not greasy at all. Moving on to the greek keftedes meatballs was a good move...lamb and beef meatballs with tzatziki sauce was delectable and the drunken port meatballs were amazingly tasty. After the lamb meatballs I need more lamb and ordered the Greek Lamb Burger which was so tender and tasty that I commented to our waitress (who was amazing) and the brioche bun finished it off perfectly. I did not want to leave and will return to try other items on the menu. Kudos to the chef and staff for the improved menu from when they first opened. They are really hitting the mark!!

The hubs and I LOVE coming here. We have had two bad experiences, but the food and the rest of the service has been so good that we keep coming back. Some of the tables have couches for the seats and we love sitting in them. The tv's everywhere allow us to watch some great games, and although it's loud sometimes, you can hear your people so it works out. The food is delicious! Their pretzel sammies as an appetizer are SO good!! And I have had the chicken fried steak twice and have never been disappointed. The drinks are really good too. I love the St. Bubbles, even though you don't get a whole lot, it's still REALLY tasty :) We will for sure come back here.

The atmosphere can be nice and I like the fireplaces with the outdoor seating, but one thing that surprised me was that they allow smoking in their outdoor area. It was annoying especially since the outdoor area is not closed off from the restaurant at all, so smoke can waft into the indoor space. The hamburgers were good - I find the menu to be a bit limited. I would probably revisit more for drinks than for food (again, if it weren't for the smoke).

Love brickhouse! Lots of beer and craft cocktails. Wonderful pork chops, and the brunch menu is killer. It may be a chain but it's got lots of options that are awesome.

Four stars for happy hour. $5 snack menu and $3 Sierra Nevada drafts. Awesome patio. Seating at the bar outside or at tables. Not as sleezy as I thought it would be. The wait staff is all female but not dressed like strippers. Lots of space with lounge chairs by a fire place.

I am a Chicago girl that has lived New York and Washington, D.C. and I have traveled extensively all over the country. I love this place! The restaurant fuses a modern cosmopolitan atmosphere with a comfortable friendly southern attitude. The restaurant is successfully combines casual & charming, new & vintage, and hip & classy. The menu is eclectic but has a southern Louisville twist. Don't like too many places in Louisville. Brickhouse, however, would be my top choice for a date, night out with a friend, or a group celebration.

This place is nothing exciting. The food sucks and so does the service. The beer selection is a joke. It's an exams of a place that really doesn't care. I complained to the manager telling him that the food wasn't good and the beer selection wasn't good and he cussed me out, kicked me out and threatened violence. So the best advice is don't piss off the manager or else

We were recently in Louisville and had dinner at Brick House. It was amazing. You get a ton of food. I didn't even eat 1/2 my meal and was stuffed. I had the bison burger which had candied bacon, cheddar, and a cilantro mayo. It was amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly. My husband got the chicken and waffles. He cleared his plate (which he regretted later). They also had a very extensive and unique drink menu. We came on a Friday night around 7:30 but were able to eat right away at the bar and the service was super quick. Great experience!

I have heard about this place but never realized that it was less than three minutes from my place! The food is wonderful, the service is great, and the ambiance is very nice. Bartenders are fantastic!

First visit... Some friends and I went to watch the Final Four UConn Kentucky game. Knowing the place would be extremely busy I arrived an hour before the game started to be sure we could get a table and was seated promptly. The place was really busy but immediately had a server at the table. I love the atmosphere; some tables have couches for the seats and there are also recliners in front of some TVs. There's a huge fireplace inside and there's also outside seating with a fire pit. Great place to go to watch sports with 50 TVs that are placed so anywhere you are sitting you have a great view. They have an extensive list of beers and also have 50, 100 and 169 oz beer dispensers that can be placed on your table. I opted for a cocktail called The Zombie (limit two) which was very good and strong. We ordered the Shock Top Mussels, steamed in shock top ale, garlic & shallot butter broth, they were very good (first time trying mussels ever). I had the Thai Chicken Salad, sliced chicken, red bell peppers, sugar snap peas, chopped roasted peanuts over napa cabbage dressed with basil honey lime vinaigrette & topped with peanut sauce, it was delicious and the portion was pretty big. My friend ordered the Mushroom pizza which I had to try and it was very good too. My other friend just ordered the pretzels with three dipping sauces and said they were delicious. Very satisfied with my first experience here. My friends and I had a great time. Friendly service and the food was very good. I've seen in some other reviews people complaining about the server's skimpy attire but this must have changed since because they were fully clothed. I definitely will be going back to try the Mahi Mahi, Seared Halibut and crab cakes.

For a chain restaurant, and one that isn't high end, I will have to (uncharacteristically) say that I actually enjoy this. Though my only exposures have been several lunches and an occasional after work coworker meet-up, I have found it to be quite less annoying that other television-filled restaurants/bars. I will say that I have had at least three experiences where the service was below what I would generally call sub-par, with never having a server even acknowledge my group having been seated by the hostess for almost 15 minutes. But, for the food...I will say it has always been pretty good. Nothing to rave about, but better than several other large sit down chains we have in the area. I'm not sure as to how freshly made everything is, but nothing I have tried seems to have that distinctive "prepared in a commissary and shipped partially cooked and frozen" appearance or texture. I'm never a big fan of chains, overall, this place isn't too bad...if you get good service.

This restaurant is hard for me to rate overall. We had a great waiter and the food was very good. However, the manager was totally unprofessional. We had a big group reservation booked weeks in advance. Apparently they have a secret policy that calls for at least half of the table to be there before they will seat you. I have no issue with that policy however since we were not aware of it and we had part of the group coming for the second half of the basketball game and ended up causing a lot of issues. They then cancelled the reservation and gave away one of our two tables despite there being open tables elsewhere that remained open throughout the afternoon. Really what it came down due to was the complete lack of professionalism and downright rudeness of the manager in dealing with us that really got everyone upset. They ended up asking three people from our group to leave for being argumentative. This included a teenager who did not even open his mouth. Luckily, the chef witnessed what happened and stepped in and overruled the manager because she was completely out of control. The chef calmed everyone down and we ended up having a great afternoon. If this place makes the appropriate personnel decisions it could be a real winner.

Grooved on this place. Had a great physical layout and atmosphere. The service we received was fantastic. I had the calamari and bison burger, both were great. The only complaint is I asked for no onion on the burger and they added some anyway. No biggy in my world...just take them off. Oh and pretty good beer selection too.

Definitely one to try again! The half chicken was very juicy and the grilled cheese and tomato soup were excellent! The atmosphere in the bar is a little overwhelming so I was thankful we were seated in the back of the dining room. Save room for the pretzel sticks! We'll be back again to try out the other menu items!

Outstanding atmosphere with a tremendous selection of great beers. Enormous fire pit with both indoor and outdoor seating adds to the ambiance of this place- but let's be frank (or whoever you wanna be), come for the great beer least.

Man, Brick House Tavern. Let me tell you, this is your upgrade from the heavens when it comes to sports bars. That is as simple as I distill it for you. Come in expecting some fine meals and you will definitely be satisfied. Brick House Tavern banks on an atmosphere that is very hard to parallel. Meat lovers and beer lovers rejoice, this is your place. You'll find that there is a great deal of variety available to you on both fronts. I went with the decent draft selection and stayed close to home with the BBC amber ale, a choice that I did not regret. It tasted great enough that I went with another round that afternoon. Come for the tap, but also the tavern. A lot of meat on this menu, leaving for few vegetarian options. I usually err on the side of vegetarian and I found myself with few choices here. The wild mushroom pizza, however, did open itself up to my curiousity. I went with it and I was delighted with some novel flavors that gave way to a unique experience. You get a nice flat-bread type pizza with a variety of shrooms (sure to give you a high in themselves) that give texture and flavor to the pie. Paired with the amber ale, I had made the cosmic choice. The service was friendly and relaxed, nothing out of the ordinary. What I will note is the variety in how you can enjoy your tavern experience. Brick House offers a plethora of seating. You could sit at the bar (which is neatly outfitted), at tables, in a booth, at a couch near the entrance, or even at the couches. Yes my friend, couches. As if obesity wasn't a problem already, you can enjoy your meat as if you were at home at Brick House Tavern's couch seating. You'll have all the amenities of catching your favorite game with at least five channels without your eye-shot. These are important things friends. Brick House Tavern walks the fine line between sports bar and a decent tavern. I started this review with three stars but the ambiance convinced me to go for four. IT'S IMPORANT FOR YOU TO KNOW THIS: The food could probably be hit or miss here, but I'm solely giving four stars for the ambiance. This was one instance where I was more enamored with the setting than with the food, and that does count. The tipping point on the scale were the wood burning stoves inside the joint., I'm a sucker for natural solutions. It was just too cool walking by and getting some warmth before I headed out from a good meal. Again, if you're a meat lover and you like a good brew, you'll be satisfied with Brick House Tavern + Tap, they'll pour you what's just right.

ZA-ZA-BING! This place is as good as it gets when it comes to tavern/pub food! Not only do they have a fantastic selection of beer on tap, but they also have a beautiful selection of it bottled, like the lovely Chamay, for instance. Aside from the libations that I could just continue to gush over, there is food. Food is good. Food is good for you. Food is good for you and when it tastes good, it's GREAT! Our party of four began with a Thai salad, calamari, buffalo wings, and chicken tenders. You know how sometimes calamari can be chewy? Well, it's chewy when it's over cooked. Mine was done to perfection. The Chef even came by to ask how everything was at our table-a very nice touch! All food was yummy and our server was cute and sweet. When 3pm rolled around, HAPPY HOUR did too!! We then ordered the cheese platter and the deviled eggs. There was nothing left on either of the plates. I'm sure you've visited the photos already, so I will refrain from posting more myself, but I can't emphasize how good these two choices were/are. GET SOME!!

This place is a nice hangout spot. It's loud inside and has some cool seating arrangements and plenty of televisions tuned in to the World Cup. Food is a little on the expensive side but good, and the specials are good. I won't complain about the beer because they have an eclectic mix of local craft and big name breweries. We bring a group here every time when traveling for work and will keep the tradition up in the future.

Excellent Sunday brunch. The "bloody good mary" is a meal in itself. 36 beers on tap, the majority of which are craft beers. Top notch friendly staff and wonderful layout and decor make this a great place to hang.

We love this place, between the boyfriend and I we have had 80% of the menu. --- it's all good! I especially recommend the weekend brunch. The fried chicken eggs Benedict is mind blowing. Good atmosphere, usually pretty decent service, GREAT food.

Went later on a busy Friday night with Wife and 2 kids in tow. We got waitlisted and it took a bit longer than the time we were quoted, but not a huge deal. Once seated, service was very prompt and attentive. My Wife had a well executed Moscow Mule and I opted for $2.50 Rolling Rock Cans (First was served unceremoniously, but the following arrived in scrunched up paper sacks). You can feel free to temper the remainder of the review due to my love of Rolling Rock. The 6 year old had the burger and fires from the kids menu and it must have been good because he ate the whole thing with out any threats (A very rare thing). The 17 year old rated his burger a 7 out of 10, but to be fair his all time top rating is an 8, so it gets an 8.8 on the revised curve. The Wife had the Drunken Chops...she loved the glazed bone in pork chops and cheddar mashed potatoes. She felt the portion of potatoes was way too small but ended up taking a whole pork chop home, so as they say YMMV. I had the Chicken and Waffles, which was a fairly traditional take on the dish: fried chicken tenders, maple syrup, 2 big Belgian style waffles with some butter and dusted with confectioner's sugar...oh and yeah a strawberry. It was very tasty, and if I had a single complaint: there should have been 1.5 more chicken tenders on the plate. Please note, there was absolutely plenty to eat and I left the table plenty full...however the ratio of waffle to chicken was a little off, but that's really nitpicking. I would go back again and order the exact same thing.

We have been a few times and every time was great, especially with 2 young kids as they have great comfy booths. This time it was not great, food and service was sad. We waited 15 min for someone to visit our table and then they forgot to put in the appetizer we ordered. The kids burgers were dry and mine was not edible. Didn't have the time or energy to give my feedback to the manager who was wandering around, but never made it to our table. Won't be going back.

Very impressed with Brick House Tavern! Great atmosphere in here and suitable for family and friends. Got the chicken and waffles and didn't disappoint! A lot of interesting things on the menu, so I guess I'll be back to try more!

Overall, an ok place but I would not return again upon visiting Louisville in the future. The food was ok, but nothing special. I got the deviled eggs (I've had much better) and the BBQ burger with fries. The atmosphere was nicer than your average bar/tavern and they had lots of TVs. The waitress was efficient but felt as though we were inconveniencing her by being there. Also it was extremely loud both inside and outside, just hard to have conversations.
