We went pretty early for dinner, probably around 5:30. The service was very fast which I liked. I really appreciate that they do half and half on the pizza's since my husband wanted buffalo chicken and I wanted white pizza. The waitress was pretty knowledgeable about their beers which is always top priority for the husband. I feel like it would be really good for watching a sports game or having a date night.

Yes, I know we are the last tabke with still 2 hours to close but I can't help the feeling of being watched and encouraged to leave by a very bored staff. I am writing this live as this experience is simply too bazaar for words.

I've had 4 different GF pizzas there and they were all delicious!! If you get GF, the only size crust they have is medium, but it's enough for 3-4 people! My favorite pizza is the portobello bello, add pepperonis!! It's so meaty and delicious!! The stuffed portobello appetizer is also great! This pizza is delicious but it's expensive!! An order of the GF pizza add pepperoni, stuffed portobello app and tip for the delivery guy was about $40!! For one person though, you'd have about 2 days of left overs!

Place is fantastic. Good food, atmosphere and service. Neat place to go with a group. We will be back.

Food is great. The service sucks. Our server was about as bad as I've ever seen. Bad attitude & poor service. To cap it off he asked us when we paid in cash if we needed change! And no management in sight! We're not that demanding but feel this is beyond ridiculous. I suggest you just get take out & avoid the servers!

Good food bad service with two servers on a football sunday at one. You are not a sports if you do not have the nfl ticket. Asked for an out of game at the door told ok. After being seated told only local channels. Specialty pizza very good. Pimento ranch dressing listed on menu but not available along with the seasonal sides.

Food is always good and the sports bar is a lot of fun. Poor mgt. leaves the bar without a lot of craft beer and poor table service but this place is still a great place to hang

My boyfriend came in late last night from Florida, and we needed a place open late to eat and catch-up. We walked into Boombozz to a fairly empt restaurant (it was close to 9:30)...so the people in there were basically wrapping up their dinner. We were greeted by an extremely friendly server who maintained that level our entire meal. I ordered the smokehouse brisket!! Oh-my-GAH! It was delicious! I first had it during the YELP Pizza Crawl. When I ordered it, I thought, "Surely it can't be as good as I remembered it." I was convinced I made up how delicious it was in my head. I could seriously make love with that pizza. For dessert I ordered the beignets. They were stuffed with nutella and served with a side of canolli creme. Another homer. While they weren't traditional beinets, and I would consider calling them that using the word loosely, they were still delicious! If their brisket pizza weren't so good, I would be willing to walk in and just order that. The only minor issue is that my bf ordered a medium pizza as opposed to the individual size he got. I am not sure who I blame since my bf is a quite talker to begin with.

The pizza is really good and the bruschetta is super great. The bruschetta was by far some of the best that I have ever had before and it was so tasty that I could have easily ordered two or three servings of it and called that my dinner. Now, the pizza - the menu had so many listed pizzas with a huge variety of toppings; truthfully, they all sounded pretty good but I settled on the Smokehouse Brisket pizza with the hand-tossed crust. Call me a little biased because I'm a huge Chicago pizza-lover but this pizza was good, just not quite as good as what I've tasted before. I'd definitely never had brisket pizza before...but i just wasn't wowed by it - unfortunately I can't put my finger on why. The crust, though, that was so doughy and delicious! I would recommend trying Boombozz but it's not the end all, be all of pizzas. Part of the reason I only gave it three stars is because I like a good atmosphere and although the restaurant had a chill, industrial vibe it felt a little blah (for a lack of better words) in there. Also, our waitress lacked a lot of knowledge about the menu, especially about the beers that were on tap. Although our waitress was very nice, indeed, I felt as if she should have known much more about the food and drinks being offered. It's definitely a place to check out once or twice and for specialty pizzas it's a good choice, but just know there are many other places that have great pizza if not a little better. Sorry for being a little stingy, Boombozz!

This is our favorite BoomBozz location so far. Being a mom of an infant, this location caters more to families. As always, pizza, service, specials are awesome. The $2 Tuesday tap special is on point!

EVERYONE talks about BoomBozz it seems, and their famous pizza. I really don't get all the hype. It was pretty generic and lacked anything unique that made it stand out. Both pizza and calzone were lackluster. The atmosphere was obnoxiously loud with children running about, with parents not paying any attention (seems to be a trend here in Louisville.) Their beer selection is extensive, so I asked for recommendations on draft, and although the server knew the names, knew nothing about the beers themselves. I tried one beer recommended by the server, that I didn't like at all, yet still charged me for it....HIS recommendation. I won't be back.

If you want gourmet pizza then this is the spot. Boombazz has award winning pizzas all over the menu. All the topping and ingredients are fresh and always tasty. Boombazz is definitely a Louisville specialty.

The new location in Westport Village is the second leg of the BoomBozz Taphouse experiment. I have visited the Bardstown Road taphouse in the past, and was always left satisfied. The Hurstborne Lane delivery BoomBozz has closed, and the Westport location is its reincarnation. Great local brews on tap (BBC, NABC, Upland, and many more) for your beer fix, and the usual BoomBozz fair is on the menu. We love their wheat crust, and I always appreciate a pizzeria that offers artichokes as a topping. The beer special of the day is a great deal (2.50 pints), and we are always happy with the service. BoomBozz is losing it's local feel, but I think this is only for the better.

Boom Bozz is one of my and the husb favorite stops for HH. We have been there twice now. They serve very creative pizzas, tap beer, and AMAZING appetizers. I think that during the HH when we went, they had 1/2 price appetizers. We split 3 appetizers, and enjoyed them very much. Had the potato chip nachos, baked goat cheese, and stuffed portobello mushroom. All three were to die for. The potato chip nachos were amazing, and I know it sounds really weird, but you really can't knock them until you have tried them. The atmosphere is great (it is where the Key West Grille was located). I really recommend stopping in.

Let's just say this is my only five-star review. Great location and ambience. Service is good. Pizza is delicious. It starts with an awesome crust that has some chewiness but still a bit of crispness. Toppings work well together and partner to make a flavorful pie. Overall, the best pizza place in da 'ville!

Pretty good pizza, but nothing spectacular. The cheese sticks were great, but all cheese sticks are pretty great. I was craving a salad and the side house salad was my favorite dish of the night - I devoured it immediately. The pizza and cheese sticks are good as leftovers too (cold, for breakfast or late night snack). I'd like to try all of Louisville's other local pizza offerings before going back here.

We are frequent patrons of Boombozz. The food is great, this location is good for watching games, and they are kid-friendly. And there is a good beer selection, though it seems like they run out of certain beers a lot. For lunch I like the salad/pizza combo. The veggie pizza is the bomb... They put something delicious in the red sauce. My hubby prefers the buffalo chicken pizza and it is good, too. He adds bacon. Boombozz gets 4 stars instead of 5 because, for delivery orders, we find they often mess up our order.

My mother and I stumbled across this restaurant by chance and it turned out to be great. They have lunch combos from 11am-3pm. We each had a Famous Creations Combo (specialty individual size pizza and side salad). I had the Carnitas Libre with a caesar side salad and my mother had the Pollotate with a side field greens salad. The Pollotate was very good. It is one of their award winning pizzas and a food network favorite. The Carnitas Libre is served with a side of Jalapeño jelly and garlic sour cream, all together it made for an excellent pizza! The only complaint was that my mother's salad was a little on the wilted side. Look forward to visiting again and this time trying one (or both) of the Boombozz microbrews.

It was fine, all right, no real complaints. Just well, it didn't wow me in any way. Service was decent. We had a large-ish group (8 people) but the place was nearly empty at noon on a weekday. Seating us seemed to throw them for a loop but the waitress was pleasant and relatively on top of things. I think if it had been busy, service might have suffered. Food was fine. Some people had pizza, some had sandwiches. Everyone liked their food but nothing stood out. I have to say that in the end, close to $9 plus tax and tip for a sandwich and sorta-fancy chips was simply too much IMO. It wasn't that special. Would I go back? Yes, the food tasted good and the place was clean and nice enough. Would I suggest it as a destination? No, not really.

At here last night. We have eaten at boom bozz before and have always liked the feel of the place for a casual night out, especially with kids, they are kid friendly, but honestly thought the pizza (the whole point after all) was kind of lacking. Typically piled high with too many toppings and pizza that tried to be too cute . Being from NY I just like good pizza - I don't need it to have feta Greek olives and gyro meat on it, if I wanted a gyro I would get a gyro, I want pizza! Anyways - so last night we went back and ordered the NY style pizza vs one of the "specialties." We almost didn't see it on the back of the menu. It was GREAT honestly some of the best thin crust chewy and crispy pizza we have had in the 'Ville. Very solid and the pretzels are also really good. So most of the piled high pie at this joint isn't my style at all - the NY style pizza gets a solid recco.

I'm a sucker for BoomBozz pizza, so whenever a friend suggests we meet up there, I'm game. Bonus if a good basketball team is playing, which was the case on my most recent visit. This location was uncrowded, we were seated immediately at a high top with a good view of several TVs displaying the game we wanted to see. My server promptly greeted me, got my drink order, and brought it back. It was happy hour during the game (and every day from 4-7), which swayed my friend and me to order a spinach artichoke dip, which was fabulous! Neither of us got a beer that day, but they have an excellent list of them if you're so inclined when you go there. On this particular visit, we got the Farmer's Market Calzone to split. Our server brought it out on 2 plates, already divided, and with a cup of marinara for each of us -- bonus! Throughout the meal our glasses were refilled with just enough frequency to be great service without being hovering. This place combines an amazing product with excellent service and a winning location to make the kind of dining experience you'll be eager to repeat!

Boo Yelp, I couldn't find the location on my mobile to check in here! Went in for a late dinner and drink with a friend on Christmas Eve. The space is open with the dining room effortlessly blending into the bar area where we sat. Warm and inviting instantly come to mind. This was my first introduction to Boom Bozz and I sadly did not have a chance to check out their pizza. But I must say, the grub we did have was fantastic. I had the Boom Bozz Favorite Salad with chicken at the recommendation of our bartender and was fully satisfied. He had the meatball sandwhich which looked delicious...must've been because I was not offered a bite ;) Can't wait to go back and check out other menu options. For the record: the Purple Haze and Bourbon Barrel Beer are both worth some attention.

I recently ordered delivery to my apartment. Food was great, delivery was pretty speedy, and the guy who delivered it was friendly. On a bad note, they need to work on taking orders over the phone. I needed to repeat myself several times and the woman that took my order was a little curt. I'd definitely still recommend it if you're craving some well made pizza!

The pizza was just okay, but when we asked for extra basil on a pizza that already was supposed to have basil on it, the pizza had about 3 strips of it! When we asked for more, the waitress took it back to the kitchen and a normal amount was added. When the bill came, we were charged TWICE for extra basil! So we paid about $4 over what was already an ingredient on the pizza. They really skimp on ingredients. Get ready to pay out the nose for mediocre food.

I had enjoyed the pizza at Boombozz in the past, and was super excited that a new location was opening near my house. Alas, my experience during their opening weekend was enough of a disappointment that I needed to join yelp just to warn others. Although our food was perfectly adequate, one of the staffers mistakenly ran my credit card for two different tables (my companions and I, and some random stranger I had not intended to treat to dinner). When I contacted the manager after I saw the extra charge, he initially told me he needed to finish payroll before he could deal with my problem. Over the course of the next week, I had to call back an additional three times before I was finally told that the bank was processing a refund and my money should be returned in 7-10 days (roughly 3 weeks after I actually dined there). Ultimately, accidents happen, but the manager was so completely useless when it came to rectifying this matter that I won't be going back. Louisville does not suffer for a lack of good pizzerias, so BoomBozz is no great loss for me. If you go, I'd recommend bringing cash - I definitely wouldn't trust them with a credit card again.

I really liked it. Kids really liked it. They serve local beers and have a flight choice which I LOVE since I like tasting the different beers. Service was good. Will definitely go back.

Being newish to Louisville, my wife and I are on a quest to try most of the local pizza joints to get a feel for the offerings. This BoomBozz location made our list more so for its proximity to Comfy Cow (see upcoming review) than any other reason. The name sounds a little silly, but the website boasts of several impressive awards the pizza joint has won. All in all, our visit to BoomBozz was a pleasant one. We dined "al fresco" on a breezy Saturday night. Our server was friendly, if a little too cheeky. My wife started with a salad and we also ordered the asiago cheese stix and a Quattro (sausage, prosciutto, mushroom, artichoke) pizza on wheat crust. The stix and pizza came out right about the same time, which was fine as it allowed us to have some leftovers of both. All in all, I thought the food was very good and enjoyed the toppings on the Quattro. However, there was nothing about the meal that I feel will stick with me long-term and as such, I do not see myself returning in the near future, mostly due to the high volume of other offerings in the area.

The wait was so long. They said it would be a 20 minute wait but it turn out to be a 50 minute wait. I walked back and saw there were 8 tables that we're not cleaned and we could of been seated. Then when we finally got out seat we waited another 20 minutes to get a waiter. I am not impressed... I don't recommend this place the service is bad I won't come back again!!!

Solid pizza. We stopped on way from Cincinnati to Memphis and wanted a good local spot where we could watch some Sunday football. Didn't have a beer but seemed like solid selection. The personal size pizzas were the perfect size

A new location in a nice shopping center. Thin crust pizzas or your choice of crust but the quattro and Primavera were excellent. Wings were very tasty and can't beat the daily $2 beer specials. Service was good and watch your favorite sports on TV. I'll go back again when in town.

We are new to Louisville & happy to have found a great place to go out to eat. We did have about a 20 minute wait for a table but it was a busy Friday evening & to be expected. We were pleasantly surprised to find we could order 1/2 price appetizers until 7pm and we tried 3 of them as a result. The wings were so good even my 6yr old couldn't resist them. The pizza was delicious and I'm not a pizza person. The service was prompt and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and will be sure to go back often!

I have been here several times as I visit my sister often and she lives less than a half mile away. Usually I have no issues or complaints. Love the food. Great beer selection and usually great service. My last visit was not so great. Waited twice as long for a table on a Saturday night as the time we were told the wait was. Once finally seated we put in our drink orders. I assumed the bar was behind because it took forever to get the three draft beers we ordered. Wrong. They had obviously been sitting because they were totally warm when we got them. Food took forever. My salad (which was an entrée) was not brought with everyone else's food because it had to be remade because the dressing was not put on the side. I appreciated the servers attention to this detail. However the onion, which I am allergic to and that I asked them to omit, was on the 'corrected' salad. :( The two other entrée salads were brought out as pre dinner salads so two people finished their dinner way before everyone else. It was kind of a mess. This place is always busy on the weekends but we were there after the dinner rush was gone. Not sure what the problem was, but if this had been my first trip, I would not go back. Hopefully next time I go they will redeem themselves.

Had dinner last night - a pretty slow night in this spot. Food was very good - service spotty as our server disappeared and another finally came over to help us. I hope the tip we left was shared!
