There food and tea are amazing. It's traditional Chinese food and have all sorts of different teas. I'd suggest trying there Boba milk tea it's very popular on the western side of america. I was so excited to try it when they opened. They are awesome.!

Lunched twice here in two weeks. Very satisfy with the food and the service. This maybe the only Asia restaurant does not use MSG. If might taste a little flat to certain people who are used to MSG. But the difference is you feel good after the meal. With MSG, you feel tired, thirsty and maybe headache. I will visit this restaurant again and again. Call or check its open hours on the FB. Very limited for now.

By far one of the most authentic restaurants in Louisville. Most certainly in my top 5. I have returned again and again and still have yet to get sick of it. Not sure if its the wonderful lack of MSG or the amazing atmosphere. The service is of utmost excellence. The owner, Veronica and her sues chef sure do make you feel at home. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something new they are sure to love. If I could, I would rate it at a 10. They are also BYOB which I really love.

What a lovely place for lunch on Frankfort Ave! Service was attentive and the items on the menu offer a sampling of street food. Be sure to order a cup of tea. The tea infuser is quite a conversation starter.

I'd been seeking some good food in Louisville and casually mentioned to my fiancee that there was a Taiwanese place...growing up in Taipei, he jumped at this...but then I added they weren't open on Saturday or Sunday (hosting events). He was sad but wouldn't admit it, so we made a plan. We decided to make the haul up from Nashville on Friday night, forgetting we'd lose an hour, and ended up here only 20 minutes before closing...as another couple also entered. I had the awful feeling of being the jerk who kept everyone awake late...only until the moment I opened the door, at which point I felt hungry and happy and completely welcomed with smiles from the owner and waitress working the hour. A large group of guys had finished their meal and sat philosophically arguing at one of the tables, the couple sat by the door, we snagged a table near the register. They are so friendly here and I'm way thrilled to say the food is awesome. I chowed down on my oyster vermicelli, giggling at the menu saying how it was a popular tourist dish and excited that it won't be long until I get to taste a Taiwanese street version of it. I downed that noodle bowl to the end, had a reluctant sip of the fiance's rose bubble tea (I don't get the craze) ....then had a gulp and a half - I suddenly understand why people order bubble tea. YUM. We had a second one later...and a to go cup of course. They are filling! We finished off our meals in our own time - even so late at night they didn't make us feel an ounce rushed, everything was done fresh to order, our waitress was fun and made sure we liked our food, I even learned about the fun artwork the owner and her friend have filled the restaurant with (walking bread!) Even after we already paid, we stayed chatting - nay - geeking out over food and zombies and gaming...because yes, our shop owner is an awesome gamer - not a wimp like me who can't get through a first person shooter without a heart attack, but likely to start in on some Last of Us based on recommendations. Personalized food, artwork, greeting like family, super big portions, fresh and delicious...and all this just before closing. Wow. I loved this place. Return in an instant.

This new edition to Frankfort Ave is as cute and charming as its young owner, 26 years old Veronica Chang. The restaurant specializes in Taiwanese street foods, desserts, teas and boba milk tea. The menu is small offering several noodle dishes, curries, sweets and small eats. Some of the items are not available as they are still working on the menu. Everything is $9 or under. It was the first time I've had Taiwanese food so have nothing to compare it to or speak to its authenticity. But its a Taiwanese dish made by a Taiwanese owner, that's authentic enough for me! I enjoyed the rich taste of the broth, the soft and chewy noodles and the melt in your mouth beef. It had a lot of flavors and reminded me of beef stew. The Tainan Danzai Noodles tasted a little brighter and more mild, I enjoyed it too but probably more with less noodles. It's new so they are still working out some kinks, just be patient, enjoy the extra time with friends and look forward to its future potentials.

.The Mrs. and I went to Bentuhua after reading about it in the Courier-Journal. The Tea House is neat, well organized and minimally decorated to fit with a Taiwan noodle and tea house. I've visited Taiwan twice and wanted some Taiwanese beef noodle soup. We arrived ar 2:30, they close at 3PM, alas my worst fear, they were out of the beef noodle soup. The owner saw the disappointment on my face, so she gave me the soup that was left. The soup was spicy, with a deep brown rich broth, lots of the properly cooked noodles, cilantro, ginger, red peppers, soy sauce and other ingredients I could not identify. The aroma and flavor brought me back to Taiwan and remembering sharing the soup with coworkers and friends. Since the beef noodle soup was gone, I ordered oyster vermicelli soup, thin noodles in a broth with oysters, black vinegar, cilantro, scallions and ginger. The noodles were cooked perfectly, if not cooked correctly they clump up together. The oyster were delicate and flavorful. The vermicelli is difficult to eat with chopsticks and a Chinese soup spoon as they are so thin but I made it work. The Mrs. had Tainan Danzai Noodle Soup, a soup with chewy noodles in a sweet light shrimp broth with bean sprouts, green scallions, hard boiled eggs, shrimp and diced pork. Both soups were delicious, but I want to return for the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, nectar from the gods. The owner was very nice to us and is obviously customer orientated. The service was quick and smooth, no complaints here. Taiwanese noodle soup is especially delicious on a cold day, real comfort food. The Taiwanese Beef Noodle soup is better than chicken soup for a cold and I've been told it soothes a hangover. See you at the Tea House. I returned to The Tea House and enjoyed the beef noodle soup. The soup was hot, spicy and fragrant, Asian soul food, Five stars is not enough recognition for this soup.

Bentuhua Tea House offers a fantastic mixture of quaint and authentic. As the name suggests, there is a focus on tea complimented by a strong Taiwanese influence. All of the teas are from Taiwan and all of the dishes are traditional cuisine. The staff and restaurant provide a very comforting aroma, one in which you feel as if you could stay and simply talk with the staff and the others around. I had the vegetarian dumplings which had a surprisingly green hue to them, which were serve a delicious dipping sauce. They were a fantastic dim sum style dish. Don't worry if you like your meats, Bentuhua also offers pork filled ones as well. In addition the dumplings I also had the beef noodle soup, suggested by the staff, and it was absolutely mouth watering. The broth held a variety of flavors from savory, spicy, to even a little sweet. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the beef was delectable. If you go and are unsure of what to order, trust the beef noodle soup will deliver. I finished my experienced by enjoying a few cups of their Dong Feng Mei Ren, Oriental Beauty Superior Oolong. Although I have had similar teas before, this one left me a little surprised. It held a much lighter taste than anticipated and held a smooth sweet floral taste to it. The fact that the tea culture in Louisville is continually growing, warms my soul. Good quality tea will harmonize a person, but the best quality tea is complimented with a warm welcome. And that is what Bentuhua Tea House offers.

Really great addition to Frankfort road. Rice tamale was so good. Beef noodle soup is something I will order again and again.

After spending a couple of weeks in Taiwan then eating here, I can attest that Bentuhua's selections are very authentic. I particularly love the rice tamales, Taiwan beef noodles, and Jasmine scented oolong tea. I highly recommend this place!
