We had a few gift cards from the holidays and decided to head out. We are both dieting and were mildly concerned about finding the information we needed. We were thrilled to find a complete up to date nutrition guide waiting at the hostess stand. We were both able to quickly look through the guide and choose an entree that fit within our dietary budgets. With the 12.95 dinners the cost was under $50 with drinks and a dipping sauce. Our waitress was friendly and the food was excellent. It was definitely a good value for the money, so I am sure we will be back.

This place has so much to offer, but I keep getting the soup, salad, and bread sticks deal. I really love the salad and bread sticks, but the soups. Wow. I love the potato soup. It really depends on how long it's been cooking and whether it's scooped form the top or bottom, but when you get the perfect scoop of soup this is incredible. It's spicy, but now to spicy. Some green color and hearty potatoes. Oh, and if you don't like that there's like 3 other soups to choose from. I wish I could say it's a healthy choice for a meal, but I haven't had the courage to check the nutrition on the meal. I'm sure the bread sticks alone take the calorie count through the roof. Oh well, as long as you don't over do it or make a habit of it. :)

If you've been to Olive Garden, you know what you're in for. Decent pasta dishes, unlimited breadsticks, as much salad as you want. This location is usually pretty good. They frequently have a wait of 20 minutes or more, and occasionally you get a sub-par server or stale breadsticks. But most of the time, they are quick, attentive, and everything tastes just fine.

I wont mince words. I HATE this place. Im a Man, this is a total chic place with crappy salads and soups to make chics feel like they ate healthy. I ordered a Meat Ball Sandwhich and they didnt have one. They Would Not make me one. they told me to order Spahgetti and meat balls and some bread and make my own! The food tasted like it was from my grade school cafateria. I thought I would drink a bunch of beers to make it more enjoyable but even the Beer was crappy room temperature and Over priced. I wont eat there again unless I get Alzheimers and forget who I am and how much I hate this place. Chef Boyardee makes better italian than this place.... I'd like a refund for the 2 hours of my life I will never get back...

I love going to Olive Garden for a night out. My family usually has to wait for about an hour to get a table, though, and there isn't a lot of room to sit or stand while you wait at this location. Once we get a table, we're served quickly and efficiently each time. This location could just benefit from making their waits a little more comfortable for their guests. The Chicken Gnocci Soup is a favorite of mine. :)

I love olive garden, I usually to take out orders. I am very happy that I am able to order and pay online, so we when I get there all I have to do is just pick up my meal. Very convenient for a person on the run. I also like that olive garden usually sends emails with coupon codes for to go orders , ranging from 10% to 15% perfcent off. The meal is usually nice and hot when I pick it up

My second visit to the infamous Olive Garden! Hawaii hypes this place so much because of the all you can eat salad and breadsticks and the fact that it's not in Hawaii. Location/Parking: It's in Florence y'all! Lol. Love the saying. There is a reasonable parking lot for this restaurant. Food: I love the salad and breadsticks!!! So worth it for just that. My favorite entree is the beef tortellini. The beef is soft and the dish is flavorful. Peak Times: They were busy during lunch on a weekday. I bet they are definitely busy on the weekend as well. Come early when they open for lunch. Overall, I'll be back for my salad and breadstick fix!

Have not left a review here in a while. Took my girlfriend Toey for Valentine dinner 2015. Well I ordered the stuff pasta. She ordered to spaghetti and meat sauce. It was really good. Oh I forgot I always order the Bruschetta for appetizer. The highlight, of the dinner I did not know. You get Endless soups and salad and 3 types of soup. I like the chicken noodle soup. I actually ordered all the soup. And then take main entrée home. Yummmmy Olive Garden ;-D

Never ending pasta! It's also never ending salad and bread sticks. I loved it all. Could only eat one bowl of Penne pasta and five cheese marinara. They make the first bowl a big one. So you definitely get your money's worth for $9.99. Bring me the breadsticks and salad and I'm a happy Italian. The whole experience was nice. There was no wait, the restrooms were clean, the server was good and happy.

I was really in the mood for ravioli. Olive Garden did not disappoint. I ended up selecting the new meal deal. It included a salad and breadsticks (which Olive Garden just does right), a small appetizer, an entree and a dessert shooter for 12.99. I thought it was a good deal. My husband and I each got the meal deal. We ordered tortellini with meat sauce, he got chicken meatballs and I got frie risotto balls for the appetizer. We were too full to eat much dessert and each took home enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Everything was hot and delicious, except the dessert shooters which were just okay. The service was quick an friendly. I call Olive Garden the tex mex of Italian. It's American Italian, totally different flavor than authentic or gourmet Italian. Knowing that going in, we were not disappointed and they did that Merican italian right baby!

Let's agree that Olive Garden is a franchise that has an "Italian" flare. It's not to be confused with authentic Italian dishes. That said, this location does a fine job in the front and the rear of the house. I have no complaints.

I have stopped in about 3 to 5 times. They were OK 1 of those visits. Olive garden is the fast food of Italian cuisine. I get that. Does that mean my food should come out any kind of way? No. I am over olive garbage.

It seems that no matter which Olive Garden is visited, the food and atmosphere are generally consistent and service is all over the place. I always tell myself I will try something other than the lasagna, but on the rare occasion that I venture into something unknown, I find myself wishing I had ordered the lasagna. One area I really wish Olive Garden would work on is desserts. It's a sin for an Italian restaurant, even if it is a chain, to serve mediocre desserts.

My husband and I visited on a Sunday around 6p and were seated right away. Our server (her name began with a J...I can't get "Jilian" out of my mind but I don't believe that is it) was prompt and went over the specials, offered a complimentary sampling of wine, ensured our soup and breadsticks were never empty, and delivered our hot meals expeditiously and accurately. A great We ordered the 2 for $25 special starting with the Zuppa soup and each selecting a different chicken entree. Everything was delicious and the service was in line with what you would expect at a 5 star restaurant. Very much enjoyed and we are moving OG up in our restaurant rotation.

I know the dressing is so so bad for you but who cares, have you tried it? One of my favorite parts of eating at Olive Garden is getting the salad with the amazing dressing before we get out food. Everything is good, iv tried plenty of items from the menu and have never been disappointed in my choice. Great service and usually not a terrible wait for a table.

been here before and food was fine...maybe we just came on a bad night. I got the tour of Italy. The lasagna was great and it stopped there... Fettuccini under cooked and cold, and the parmesan chicken was "sahara" dry. Service was quick and staff friendly, well to my wife anyway, because that is the only one he carried on a conversation with.

An overall good experience for a chain. I am into eating fish and mostly just seafood lately, so i decided to give the new salmon dish a try. Firstly it was served in a timely fashion the server seemed new but trying, no fault in that. Secondly, i received my salad promptly, a little dry but clean and fresh. Lastly the fish was a little over cooked on an edge but satifactory. Would recommend if no other fresh fish options are in the area.

Had a wonderfully delicious dinner tonight. Started off with the spicy shrimp appetizer (which I could eat for every meal!), then I ordered the trout. It's not my normal Alfredo, but I wanted something different. Our waiter, PHIL, was very helpful, being as I'm such an indecisive person. The trout was delectable! I give kudos to PHIL. He got all of our orders right and out with perfect timing. We never even once had to ask for a drink refill!! Best waiter I have had there thus far!!! Someone pat that man on the back and tell him "Job Well Done", then give him a raise! Same goes to the kitchen staff & cooks for the perfectly prepared food! Thank you so very much. We will DEFINATELY return!!!

On our way to visit our granddaughter, we ended up in Florence, KY and there was a nearby Olive Garden. Olive Gardens are good all over the world and this was no exception. I had the seafood brodetto and my wife had the capellini pomodoro with shrimp. Their salad is ALWAYS very good. Tania did a superb job waiting on us.

Elisha provided timely and attentive service. Salad is always fresh and breadsticks hot. My favorite is pasta with marinara sauce and meatballs - two are plenty. My only complaint is no sweet tea - peach tea is not a good replacement.

Had to update my review... Came back on a saturday night... HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! They sat us.. and not one single person came back. We waited 20 minutes and finally left. I told the person at the front station as I handed our menus back.. she replied.. okay. WOW! Not going back.

Had to try this out because I won a gift voucher at work. Expectations were pretty low as my colleagues had warned me that "this won't be real Italian, bla bla bla". Arrived on a Sunday around 1h30 and only had to wait for 10 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior, the owners clearly try to give it an Italian feeling. My husband and I both had the all veggies soup (all meals come with a salad or soup) and this soup was so huge it almost filled me up. On top of that there were delicious bread sticks with garlic - addictive. I took the Italian taster as a main which was just enormous. It only cost 3 dollars more than the lasagna, but comes with 3 tastes: lasagna, chicken and a cheese pasta. Unfortunately they were out of lasagna so I had it with the spaghetti. That tasted ok. My husband got the lobster pasta, which I would recommend, it tasted delicious! He was very hungry but could only finish 3 quarters so all in all that makes for 2 big boxes we took home! Perhaps it isn't Italian food exactly as you will get it in Italy, and Ok, this is a chain, but we had really good food, quick and friendly service for not expensive prices especially considering the huge portions. Definitely liked this place!

It's Olive Garden. Of course there's going to be a wait at dinner time on a Friday night. I've usually been able to get in any other day of the week pretty quickly. My biggest complaint is the noise level- it can be so bad you can't hear the person across from you. If you dine in during busy dinner time you're bound to be seated next to a table full of screaming children (at least I was). On the plus side, the take out there is quick and painless!

It's true that there is almost always a wait, but that just proves how good it is. I think almost everyone has tried Olive Garden, so there's not much that I need to say, however I feel that it does deserve a review, especially to even out the rating. Everything I've ever gotten has been really good, all except for the chicken marsala which had too many mushrooms. I can't really complain because it said that it had mushrooms, I just wasn't aware it would be drenched in mushrooms. The food is really good, reasonably priced, and you get free salad and breadsticks. The salad dressing is amazing. Also, the service is always fast and the people are always friendly. The only negative is having to wait to be seated, which to avoid that I only go during non busy hours like between 1-3 pm and after 8pm.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. We usually sit at the bar where they allow smoking.YES! Lori is my favorite bartender and knows all about service to the customer. The portions are just right and the food is to die for. Hey people if you go here and have kids and you see they are busy please don't sit your kids at the bar and bitch about the smoke remember your sitting your kids at the bar where there is smoking. You have hundreds of other restaurants to choose from that doesn't allow smoking. Go there

This past week we went to Olive Garden to celebrate my mom's birthday. As per usual we had to wait at least thirty minutes to be seated, even on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. I am used to this though and it was expected. Once we were finally seated we were eventually greeted and our drink order taken. Our waitress was polite but i got a continual feeling of condescension, I don't know if she was just having a bad day or what, but it certainly wasn't inviting. When our drinks were dropped off we asked if we could get some breadsticks and salad while we decided on our entrees, our 15 month old daughter was with us and she was hungry - we just hoped to tide her over. We were told that they could not bring salad until everyone ordered an entree but would bring breadsticks. That is when things got very, very slow. For the next almost 2 hours everything we ordered or asked for took a LONG time to arrive. We didn't get those breadsticks and salad for another 20 minutes, i mean it's already prepared! It took us over one hour from the time we were seated until the time we received our dinners, an easy 50 minutes after being ordered. We were told multiple times they were "working on it". I likely could have prepared the meal from scratch in a shorter period of time. When the meal finally came out everyones food looked good, except my salmon. It had visible char resting on top, was hard and completely dry and overcooked. I am still baffled how a cook, or waitress decided it was ok to send that fish after it sat for so long and was visibly pitiful. I opted not to make a fuss or receive a new piece as at this point we had been there for so long that I did not want to risk another long period of waiting for a replacement. Nicely the waitress removed the $18 salmon from the bill after I told her it was overcooked and we went on about paying. Did I mention it was slow? It took at least 10 minutes to get change for our cash payment! At this point the entire section was nearly empty so I'm not sure what the delay was from this time. As were were preparing to finally leave, a gentlemen who may have been a manager, with an ear piece and dress shirt, came over and asked how everything was. My response was "not great, we have been here almost 2.5 hours and my food was overcooked after waiting a long time to receive it". His response was one of mild shock and bewilderment - he paused for a moment and just turned and walked away without another word said. I was amazed, why ask if you only want sunshine and smoke and not the customers honest opinion? We walked past him standing at the front as we left and didn't even get so much as a thanks, or have a good day. C'est La Vie. This has always been a trend when I go here, long waits and slow service. I can get better food for better prices elsewhere and will certainly sway those who invite us elsewhere in the future. I am giving two stars as most of our food was good and you can never lose with their salad and breadsticks. You win some and lose some, we definitely lost this one.

Went for lunch. Not too crowded. Did the soup and salad, but it took 40 minutes to get first bowls to our table. The soup was good, but we ran out of time (on lunch) to try anymore. Server and service was terrible!

This is one of those generic reviews, so don't expect anything outrageous, humorous, or really useful. This review has nothing unique to offer. Neither does this Olive Garden. Soup, salad, and bread sticks for lunch one day. Safe lunch. Decent lunch.

Whenever I have been here there's been a wait, yes, but the food is usually good and the service is good. The place is kid friendly, which is a plus for me. I don't really eat much pasta, as I don't eat gluten, but they offer a lot of gluten-free fare that is pretty darn good, like their soups, salads, and mussels. I like their soup/salad/bread sticks lunch because it is affordable and delicious.

An hour wait on a Friday night, seriously?!? Probably because it's the closest restaurant to the movie theater, which is exactly why we were there. But there's about a dozen other sit-down restaurants on this mile-long road. So we went back and forth between getting take-out here or going somewhere else. We decided on take-out since we live about 5 minutes away. We got the Steak Toscano and Mixed Grill (chicken and steak). Both were very good. They came with lots of potatoes and veggies. In addition, they gave us 2 breadsticks each, and like a full salad bowl each on top of that. With tons of little cheese topping and dressing packets. The one thing missing was those awesome dinner mints they always bring with your bill. Guess that's a dine-in only luxury. Good thing we had leftover Halloween candy!

Attempted to go in on a Saturday night around 8pm. We arrived & were surprised to see so few people waiting. Thinking surely it'd be less than a 15 minute wait, we were shocked to find out the wait was actually FIFTY minutes. I had to have the host repeat it I was so shocked. I don't really understand how that was possible, but I wasn't about to stand around & wait to find out. We left & went to Karlo's.

My husband and I went there to have a nice dinner last night and we did. I had the Eggplant parmagiano which was SUPERB and hubby had the Steak Tuscani and he really liked it. The atmosphere however is somewhat disappointing. Being a smoker I enjoy my after dinner cigarette just like the next person. If the rest. offers a smoking section..and those are few and far between anymore.. and your sitting in the smoking section and your NOT a smoker, then you have NO RIGHT to bitch and complain about the smokers, smoking in the DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA!! Move your health conscience ass to the NON-smoking section or SHUT UP! I don't think Olive Garden should sit non-smokers in the smoking section. It's not fun or relaxing when you have people harping about "How bad it stinks" and "I can't stand this" or the frieking eye rolling and covering their mouth and nose w/ their hands. So if this atmosphere sounds like something you'd like to see...is kinda funny...or want to be in, then the Olive Garden is for you! However if your looking for a total non-smoking restaurant, then look else where. Enjoy! (or not) :)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
