We have never dined in but always call ahead and carry out...and the burgers are AMAZING everytime. Loads of toppings and options, the meat is fresh, the hand cut fries are so good, and the service is quick and order is always accurate. Highly recommend...personally we prefer over Five Guys but maybe not over Smashburger.

Overcooked burgers devoid of flavor, topped with bacon that tastes like it was cooked days ago. Seriously, bacon shouldn't look like this. Gross. The handcut fries are not seasoned at all, and are limp. There's no excuse for this. It's not like setting and maintaining oil temp and timing your drop is rocket science. With quality like this, Im not sure this location will be in business very long.

Other than the fact that you leave wondering how you fit all that food in your stomach, I can't imagine anyone not liking this place. Its not the Ritz Carlton so don't expect stellar table service. But I liked them better than Five Guys because it is a quieter less hectic atmosphere. The portions are huge and burgers good. Ordered two fries for me and my son. We are both over 6' and over 260 lbs. We seriously thought both orders were in same bag. Ridiculously huge portion. From then on we order one and split it.

I can definitely understand why there was only 3 customers in the restaurant at 6:00. The food was fantastic. The service was atrocious. It seems that with 3 people in the restaurant, I could have got a refill on my beer without having to hold my glass up when I caught her glancing out of the kitchen while she was talking. Finally got my refill, and told her that I would probably have another. After my glass had been empty for 5 minutes while she was nowhere to be found, I decided I'd had enough. This place has great burgers and a fantastic beer selection. However, Diamond has made me not want to return. Reminds me of Pazzo's in Lexington. Great food, great beer, horrible service.

Simply put - probably the best burger in NKY. The burgers are big, juicy - properly seasoned throughout and just plain delicious. It's a bit pricey but on par with any comparable burger joint. throw in a big pile of fries and its cheeseburger bliss. I have tried some of the variations but a good burger needs no dress up and should stand on its own - this is just a great cheeseburger all by itself. My go-to place when I need a true burger fix.

Greatest burger place around. Haven't had a burger that I didn't like. Great place to grab a beer and hang out with your friends while watching a game. Also a great place to bring the family in and have dinner too. If your traveling I would say Mad Mikes is a must. Come by and say hi to the friendly staff. Cheers Liam

This is an excellent burger joint. Lots of topping options, fresh-cut fries, large portions, beer on tap, great service. I don't live in The Cinti area but make it a point to eat here when in town.

We noticed this place a few weeks ago. Finally we decided to stop and it was worth it. The hamburgers were awesome. The decor lacked and it was a bit on the pricie side but your there to eat so set in your mind that money will be spent. York taste buds will agree it was money well spent.

Just had Mad Mikes and the food was pretty good but the service is lacking. When you walk in you have to order but you have to wait until the waitress gets off the phone first. Then when you order she asks what kind of bun you want with your burger: pretzel bun, brioche, ciabatta, etc.. But what she fails to tell you is that you have to pay extra for that. Then after she brings out your food you don't see her again. I mean you see her because she's on the phone texting or talking. She just doesn't come back to see how your doing or see how you like the food. I will come back for the food but not the service.

Okay, I had not heard of this place when I came a crossed it, but I was in the mood to try something new. The environment is sports bar flavor with Bengals and Wildcats stuff along the wall, and TV's, but even with several tables seated, it was not a noisy environment at all. The odd thing was you order your food then you seat yourself. My burger was quick to be served and the staff was excellent. There was one waitress handling the orders and bringing out the food to tables, and she was doing an excellent job giving the amount of work she had on her hands. The burger tasted pretty good, the meat did not have the same texture that I am accustom too, but it wasn't a detractor by much, the topping that are included with the burger were excellent and the pretzel bun gave it a nice touch. The fries were really good and crispy and freely cut. I have no concerns returning just based on the atmosphere wasn't noisy, and I think you can enjoy a nice group of people and conversation in this place. I am interested in trying something else off the menu too. I had the Rockefeller and it was good. There point of sale system does not allow you to leave a tip on the credit card which I found very odd.

Just tried Mad Mike's for the first time and was very disappointed. A coworker of mine frequents Mad Mikes quite often and her lunch always looks so good. So I thought I would give it a shot. First of all, my total came to $11.50. Kind of pricey for lunch, considering I didn't even order a drink, but if it's good, that's not a big deal. I ordered a double cheeseburger with mushrooms, onions and mayo. The waitress asked if I wanted a pretzel bun and I agreed. I also ordered a small fry with cheese (thinking I would get a cup of cheese to dip my fries in, like my coworker brings back to the office.) I get my order and head back to work, excited to try this burger and fries I've heard so much about .... Only to be VERY disappointed. First of all, the fries are huge. They come in a big styrofoam container. Great, if a) they weren't practically raw or b) the cheese sauce they were slathered in had ANY flavor whatsoever. They are completely in inedible. I look at my receipt and see I paid almost 4 bucks for something I'm tossing in the trash. I also see I was charged almost a dollar for the pretzel bun I was offered. I wish I would've been told of the charge when asked of I wanted one. Moving on to the burger.... I take a bite and realize just how horribly greasy it is. There is a pool of grease just lying in the tin foil it's wrapped in. That pretzel bun is a soggy mess. The burgers themselves are very pink. Pinker than I'd prefer. I eat a few bites and decide it's pretty gross. I eat the mushrooms and throw the rest away. What a horrible lunch And to top it all, it was so greasy I feel like I need a shower. So I just spent $11.50 and basically threw it all away. I will never go to Mad Mikes again.

I've only been to mad mikes once before and it was the Dixie hwy location. It was a long time ago but I do remember the burger I had was good- it was the mafioso. This trip to mad mikes was excellent. I built my own bacon cheeseburger and loaded it down with MANY of the free toppings they offer (there's like 25 of them! ) The burger was outstanding and the fries that came it were the same. They were cooked just right and way too many to eat. This location is big enough to accommodate a large number of people and the staff is super friendly. You have to check this place out if you want a superbly crafted burger.

Oh my gosh...go hungry! Not only is the food tasty but the portions are very generous. Friendly atmosphere too. Would defiantly recommend stopping in.

Upcharges are insane. .80 to get Different bun. ,$1.30 to add cheese and bacon to your fries. Food is good, but not THAT good. Doubt I'll return

Being a big fan of mad mikes for great burgers. This was our first visit to this location. Quality is not the same. It's worth the couple minute extra drive to the Dixie hwy Florence location.

You are MAD! Mad I say! It would take someone clearly out of their mind to create burgers like this. And for under $10 too. Now, I'm sure you're thinking, 'what burger is worth anything over $5?" By gum, this burger is. Now, I've been to their Dixie Hwy location, and clearly from the popularity of that location, and obviously my glowing review yelp.com/biz/mad-mikes-b… , they decided to establish a location even closer to my workplace. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It's much appreciated, and I'll try to frequent Mike's as much as possible. Although if I have any concern for my heart, I can only make it once a month. These burgers are as dangerous as they are tasty. So, by my count, I've now tried 'the American Outlaw' & 'Shroomin'. Only 9 more to go. ( madmikesburgers.com/Menu… ) Whoo.

One of the better burger places that I have frequented. Burgers aren't greasy and a good variety of offerings and the fries are terrific. If you ready there then enjoy with a beer.

Really good burger and fries at a good value. Good selection and variety. Not fancy but clean. Fries were a little too done. I will come back and try other burgers. Simple service that was just enough. Had the big Tex with really good BBQ and bacon.

Between 2 burgers with 6 toppings each, a split regular fry (plenty for both if us with some left over) and 2 waters, my friend & I lunched for less than $10 total. The fries were even better than 5 Guys, and the burgers were every bit as good. Great place to get a burger fix met.

Here's the thing. Mad Mikes is almost there. Their burger selection is reminiscent of Kuma burger in Chicago, but fails in its delivery. I had the Mad Cali, which in theory should be amazing. Avocado mayonnaise, taziki to name a few of the ingredients. The short of it is the patty need seasoning. With so many amazing ingredients, there should have been a flavor explosion, but I was left feeling quite unimpressed. So Mad Mike, if you're listening, add some spices to your patty and you'll be alright.

Visited today while in town visiting family. I am a burger lover! So when my sister recommended Mad Mikes for lunch I was all in. I don't like their way of ordering and serving. It seems so unorganized. Id rather tip a waitress or assign each order a number and then allow the customer to place that number on the table and then deliver it to that table. Everyone scattered about waiting for a random number to be yelled out is annoying. I love the burger choices. So many toppings to choose from. I was bummed when I was told there was no Swiss cheese!! I love a mushroom and Swiss burger!! I'd love to see more cheese options. After my order was placed my sister told me I could get a pretzel bun. That should definitely be more clearly advertised as an option!!! The food took rather long but we weren't in much of a hurry. Unfortunately another couple was there on a lunch break and they wound up leaving with their money returned. Not a place for a quick lunch. I ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions and mushrooms. I also split an order of fries "mad style" topped with onions and cheese. Those were good! Unfortunately I was disappointed in the burger. First thing I noticed was it wasn't hot! It was lukewarm at best. The patty itself needs flavor. Desperately. The meat was terribly bland. Even some salt and pepper would help. I've had better frozen burgers from a box. I did like the mushrooms. The onions were chopped which made them fall off the bun. They should be sliced and then sautéed. This way they stay on the burger and not the paper. Overall, not my first choice for a good burger.

I had the popular Big Tex burger. Burger patties are 100% black angus. It had lettuce, tomato, bacon, BBQ, onion straws, and I was able to swap the American cheese for pepper jack cheese. The pretzel bun was also a nice touch.

I love Mad Mike's. However, the service I received at the Mt Zion location was horrible. We had a large order for lunch. The burgers where cold and my sandwich was wrong. When the person who made the order called, they offered a discount if I wanted to come back and get it corrected. I called back and Calvin answered the phone and asked of I could hold. I was on hold for 13 minutes listening to him take some orders and silence. When he finally picked up the phone, I told him I wanted a new burger and my money back, which he agreed. When I arrived at the store, no one was at the front desk and had to wait several minutes. When Calvin finally came out front and took my name, he didn't even offer my money back until I reminded him. When I told Calvin that the burgers on the order were cold, he did apologize and gave me some BS. I told him that the company would no longer be coming to this store for our orders, he had this condescending smile and said he was sorry to hear that.Several minutes later, after being told my burger would be ready in 10 minutes, I final got my burger. The best part, it was still wrong. I will not be going back to this location. I will be visiting the Dixie Hwy store from now on.

Excellent big fresh burgers and fresh cut fries. The onion straws and excellent also. This fresh burger place is better than a 5G's. They carry a good selection of beers but the place really doesn't have a "bar" atmosphere. This is good or bad depending on your personal preference The staff is very personable and helpful. The manager/owner personally made sure that everything for one person in our party with Celiac disease was eating gluten free. Place is clean and smoke free. If you want a great burger and fries, Mad Mikes is your place. If you need help with the menu board, ask for "Vanna".

The burgers at this place are fantastic. On my first visit I had the Rockefeller on a pretzel bun. The blue cheese crumbles complemented the perfectly cooked beef patties so well. I had the "Mad" fries, that are topped with nacho cheese and onions, which seemed a little overly-salty to me, but I was willing to overlook that because the burger was so good. On my second visit, I had the Shroomin' burger. It was even better than the Rockefeller. No drive-thru fast food place, and very few sit down restaurants, could possibly hope to come close to matching the taste of this burger. I took a chance and ordered the Mad fries again, and this time they were not overly salty, so I guess it depends on who's working the fryer. They were excellent this time, and I put a little malt vinegar on them which made them even better. If you have the misfortune of being on Mt. Zion Rd., or want to make the trip, go to Mad Mike's.
