Staying here in KY for a month and can say the best place by far I have found for great service and great food. My friend found this place first and now on Sunday's like to hang out at the bar and have supper with the best bartender Okyon. She is the best ever!

Longhorn in Florence has been a tradition for my family since the late 90's. Our go-to appetizer has always been the Texas chili cheese fries. A sharable family-sized platter of french fries, covered in chunky Texas chili, cheese sauce, bacon, shredded cheddar, and jalapenos. I was shocked last night (12/26/2014), when we could not find our favorite app on the menu. I asked the waiter and he confirmed that they are no longer on the menu. That was the start to our less-than stellar visit to our favorite chain steakhouse. To me, Longhorn has been on a decade-long decline to mediocrity. Where they were once the Texas-themed place with the bison head on the wall and John Wayne memorabilia hanging throughout, have now become a generic place with none of that Texas charm. Sitting at a table, you wouldn't know you were sitting in Longhorn anymore. It might as well be an Applebees or an o'Charleys. The food was just meh. No Texas chili cheese fries, no Texas decor, but at least there's great steaks, right? Um... not exactly. I ordered a 12oz. ribeye medium-rare. The steak was medium and had a thick line of gristle running through it. Longhorn's ribeyes in the past were wonderfully fatty and marbly, and full of flavor. I'm not sure what happened. Needless to say, we will go back. We always do. I'm just hoping last night was a fluke.

This place used to be better. In the past months the food quality has really gone down and soups are never hot! But the reason I have stopped going here is because of the smell. It's awful, like dirty wash rags. It's overwhelming when you walk in and I can't believe mgmt hasn't noticed. So gross.

Yelp suggested to join LongHorn's club, so I did and immediately got my coupon for a free appetizer via email. That was a great addition to an already excellent meal. My husband will not stop talking about how wonderful his prime rib was. Since I had a bite, I can see why, it was delicious, and perfectly tender. My highlight was their mac & cheese, which was great. I've found them to be moderately inconsistent, but this most recent visit was excellent.

I want to write this this review for exceptional service. After finishing dinner, my son decided to take home approximately half of his unfinished meal. The food was fine. After leaving the restaurant, my son suddenly realized he had forgotten to pick up his to-go box. Being five minutes from leaving, we decided to go back and check to pick it up. As luck would have it, it was thrown away. I ask our waitress Stephanie, about it and told her we had just left. She offered to replace the order and I accepted. Upon my return, the restaurant had become quite busy. I received a replacement and my son ate it later. This type of service is very much appreciated and it has earned my return business. This is an shining example of excellent customer service. Public contact jobs aren't always pleasant or easy. It's refreshing to encounter this.

Longhorn has quickly become our Go-To place for dinner. The steaks are very good, always enjoy the shrimp as well. Service is good. On a couple of occasions, we've had a problem with our food, and every time the manager took care of the matter promptly to our satisfaction. I understand that mistakes happen, and I appreciate them taking the extra step to make certain we're happy.

I understand this isn't the place to comment on other reviews. But giving a STEAK restaurant a low rating because you are trying to eat healthy and there was the smell of " steak and Mac n cheese in the air" seems unfair. OK...having got that out of system, we have never been anything less than pleased by Longhorn. Its a chain steak restaurant. Come in expecting that and you shouldn't be disappointed. It isn't the Precinct or Jeff Ruby's. You get good food and decent service at reasonable prices. I'm sure at times steak may not be cooked perfectly. They probably have one guy cooking 60 steaks at a time back there. Its not the end of the world. OVERALL, you get good food as quickly as they can get it to you. I've never experienced rude service but I cant speak for everyone on that. I wouldn't let the negative reviews deter you from trying this location. If you go in with realistic expectations, realize that a wait at the door is a good thing ( if the place sucked no one would be waiting to get in ) and have an open mind, I think youll find yourself happy at the end of the meal.

The absolute worst steak I've ever had. It was supposed to be 18 oz rib eye. It was nothing but Grissel. I Could not eat it without choking. The sautéed mushrooms looked like the mushrooms in a can only all dried out. No wonder they bring extra bread for people to get full before their meal is served.Even the Caesar salad was a joke. Cannot believe this place is allowed to remain open. For 26.00 for this piece of meat was a complete robbery.

Our favorite steak restaurant in Florence Ky. The Flo's steak is excellent. I even picked this restaurant for my birthday treat. That said, there is a feeling of being "Rushed". The waiter keeps coming to the table (gratuitously) and asking how we liked our food. The plates get picked up as soon as I've appeared to finish. So no lingering here./..birthday or not.

This is the first & last time my family will eat here. $135 for our family of 5 & we could've got a better meal at Wendy's for $30. The food was a huge disappointment. To top it off we waiting 40 minutes to be seated. Not worth it at all!

Date night destination... my boyfriend had visions of steak and lobster swimming through his head and I... well.. I had no idea what to get. We walked in and there was a wait that looked pretty steep, so we decided to sit at the bar and enjoy dinner instead. My belly button was rubbing blisters on my backbone by this point from hunger so I didn't want to wait around for the ambiance of a table. We headed to the bar, and the bartender was nice enough, but maybe not as, I don't know.. peppy? as other bartenders I've met. We looked at the menu and I couldn't decide what to get, so I opted for a Watermelon Martini and a Cesar Salad with a Loaded Baked Potato. Yes, I know you're scratching your head at this point, thinking.. Ok, she's one of THOSE girls.. date night.. salad... well sir or madam.. you'd be wrong. I LOVE food, it's just in all fairness to Long Horn.. I'm not a steak person. I thought about the salmon, but it just didn't "float my boat" right then. However, the Watermelon Margarita... well that was enough to go back for right there. Holy crap that thing was amazing!!! It was like drinking a watermelon jolly rancher. The Cesar Salad was fantastic! Now you're probably thinking.. yeah Beth.. it's hard to mess that up.. Well once again you'd be incorrect. I've had some horrible Caesar Salads that I wouldn't even give to my dog. But this one.. well, it took all I had to be a lady and not pick up the plate and lick the dressing off of it when I was finished.. YUM. The baked potato.. ok I'll give you that one.. it really is hard to mess that up. All in all it was an ok place. Boyfriend liked his steak.. and it gave him the "meat sweats." Thank you Peter Griffin... LOL I'm sure we will return but it felt sort of generic and overpriced to me. The service was sub par & for what they expect you to shell out for their food I'd expect alot more customer service wise. But meh, not too horrible so I'll give it another shot.

Always a great experience! Flo's Filet is my favorite. It was a little rare when served, it was immediately fixed and hand delivered by Joe. Mark provided excellent service. Always worth the wait.

I ordered my steak medium rare, and it was very raw and slightly warm. I sent it back to be cooked more, and it still came back rare. The meat also tasted weird, and was not seasoned well at all. I didn't find anything appealing about this place.

The price of the food far exceeds the quality. The quality of meat does not match the cost whatsoever. I like my steak medium well which should have a slight line of pink but both times and with 2 different cuts of meat, it has been cooked well done and tasted burnt. I've had Longhorn twice for lunch and twice for dinner at two different locations. I will not be returning.

It's Longhorn! Best steak of any of the steak chains. I still can't figure out their steak cooking. Medium Rare Cowboy Ribeye was a bit more rare than medium. Perhaps it was because my flight was cancelled and I called in an order 30 minutes before closing.

This was our first visit to LongHorn in over 2 years since we have been stationed overseas for the past 2 years. My husband had just won a gift card and had a few choices as to which restaurants he could visit and we were craving some steaks. We called ahead to save a seat for 2 kids and 4 adults. When we got there we were promptly seated and our drinks were served. After our drinks were served, another server came to our table to take our orders and she was not very friendly at all! She is actually the rudest servers that I have ever encountered. 1st issue: when asked to have a few more minutes to look at the menu she acted as if we were wasting her time. 2nd issue: when asking our server what salad dressing they had, she didn't even take a breath through the selection of dressings, she was talking so fast. 3rd issue: when my husband asked her to repeat the selection, she gave us an attitude again. 4th issue: when my father-in-law asked where his fries were she said (verbatim) "we only have so may hands." When my father in law said "excuse me", she said "we'll get that to you." When my father-in-law tried to explain that he wasn't sure if they had forgotten it, she just turned around and walked away in his mid sentence. 5th issue: she did not come back to our table for re-fills. Now I'm not saying that all the servers at LongHorn are as rude as she was, but since I am reviewing this place and she was the main person we came into contact with, she really ruined our experience. My husband and I are very good tippers when we feel like our needs have been met, but this time.....we weren't so nice. Honestly, the only time she was nice was when she was giving us our check. On the positive side, the place had great western decor, it was very clean, and the food was good for the price. Would i come back again? Probably not the best time to answer that question. The server's attitude is still fresh in my mind and for the money spent, I feel she ruined the experience.

After a very long day of travel, as tired as we were my coworker and I needed some good food! She recommended we go to LongHorn since it was fairly close to our hotel. It was pretty close to closing time so it was very quiet. I ordered the Flo's Filet medium well and it was delicious!! Paired it with a watermelon margarita which was also very good. My coworker left to her next destination the following morning which left me to fen for myself for dinner that following evening. I'm not a fan of having dinner at a sit down restaurant by myself but the steak was so good I just had to go back. I sat at the bar along with all the other lonely people and the steak was just as tasty as the night before.

Gave them another try since my wife had a gift card and it was an EPIC FAIL! Ordered Flo's Filet medium to the well side and somehow they managed to make it well done at one end and then regressed all the way to medium rare at the other end of the steak. The steak is always underdone from what I order. My wife ordered hers medium to the well side and it came out ultra well done. The Ceaser Salad was pretty good. Just the right amount of dressing and no salad core this time. I will say that the manager at least comp'd my plate when I showed them what my steak looked like. Can't really imagine going back again. Wish I could find a good steak place in Florence.

That's right; I thought my visit to a chain steakhouse was so good that it warranted its own review. I'm as surprised as you are. What I ordered: "Flo's Filet" 7oz cooked medium, Steakhouse Mac'n'Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Glass of Cab. This "Flo's Filet" business is unbelievably good. When thinking of how to describe it, I can't escape all of the typical steak adjectives: tender, juicy, bold, etc. I'll put it this way: This steak effortlessly compares with any Ruth's Chris steak. And I promise, I won't regret typing that tomorrow morning. Steakhouse Mac'n'Cheese: Simply to die for. Really. Delicious, bacon-filled, hearty, rich, nothing synthetic or artificial about the flavors. Mashed 'Taters: I'm sorry to sound like such a flaming fanboy, but these too soared way, way above my expectations. Buttery, light, addictively delicious. Why 4 stars and not 5? Because, for a family steakhouse, I thought it was just a smidge too expensive. I paid $50 for a solo dinner. Bottom line: GO HERE and order the Flo's Filet. Don't order anything warmer than Medium. Don't eat here alone like I did unless you enjoy feeling like a depressed loner with no family surrounded by happy Christians.

Not too bad for a chain restaurant. I order the half fillet and strip,of course order it rare...not bad. The appetizer was good we order the fried onion tulips with there special sauce, which it tasted just like the Outback sauce with the Blooming onions. Service was good. Overall I would come back here again.

Ugh, I'm not a fan. I've been trying to eat healthier and Longhorn doesn't have much if anything on the menu that fits that description. I was with a large group though so I definitely did not choose the dinner location and didn't really want to complain. Looking at the menu I didn't see a single item I would want to eat listed. I did see a Caesar side salad though so I asked if I could get it as my meal. I was told I could and asked for dressing on the side and a half grilled chicken breast with it. I was told by the server this was no problem. When the food was delivered to the table, I received a caesar side salad with the dressing on it and no chicken. I questioned the server and was told it was what I ordered. I told her no it was not and I again repeated the order she had told me I could have. Finally after much back and forth, she brought me what I had in fact ordered. Even eating my salad with grilled chicken, I still felt like I was eating pure fat. Maybe it was the smell of steak and mac & cheese in the air, but I still felt like I was eating crap. Next time Longhorn is suggested, I now know to skip out.

Everytime I walk into LongHorn's I always have the same consistant service, the servers here are very well trained and on top of things; which is always delightful! I can say I am addicted, when I first start having lunch here I fell in love with their Firewraps on the App. menu and then they came up with the most delicious stuffed mushrooms that are filled with cheese and an alfredo sauce topped with a robust parmesan crust that is to die for! I did not think to look at this app. would be a filling lunch but it was all I could indure. Had to make a return trip for the new chicken with the parmesan topping and was more than pleased! Can't wait to return!

Wow, was I happy! I am not a steak person so I was a little reluctant to go to a steakhouse but I was thrilled with my dinner. What I ordered: Desert Pear Margarita Iced Tea Firecracker Chicken Wraps Caesar Salad Grilled Fresh Rainbow Trout with Steamed Asparagus The margarita was great, it was nice and sweet but not overwhelming. The tea was definitely brewed and not instant... yummm. Chicken wraps were a shared appetizer so I only ate one but it was good. They have tons of flavor and a nice kick to them but aren't overly spicy. My salad was good, a little too much dressing for my taste but he lettuce was fresh and crunchy so I was happy. The part that blew my mind, the trout. Holy cow this was good!! It was grilled perfectly and the basil, parsley and olive oil it was drizzled with was perfect. The asparagus were steamed to perfection, not cooked too long so they were mushy and not undercooked so they were hard. Our server was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be going back.

While the food was good, the two star rating is a result of the horrible service. We got there around 9 on a Friday night--the restaurant wasn't busy, and we didn't have to wait to be seated, but there was no one manning the front desk, our waitress only checked on our table three times, and my steak was cooked incorrectly. I would have ordered more than one beer had I been asked, but the waitress seemed more concerned with getting our bill to us than asking if we needed anything else.

In comparison to other steakhouses, the food is just as good but about the same price for a bit smaller portions. The people are friendly, and the service is fast. One thing that I love about this place are their loaded fries. Not only do the come with cheese, bacon, and ranch, but they have multiple types of cheese, jalepenos, and chili! This is quite possibly one of the worst things for your health that you could ever eat, but also one of the tastiest! All in all I'd recommend this place to anyone, and I'd go back just for the fries alone.

Rarely do I choose a chain restaurant, but in this case I am glad I did. I sat at the bar and had wonderful service and superior quality food! When I asked for a wine suggestion she provided a generous sampling of 3. She said, "I have a favorite but you taste and tell me which one you like." Turns out it was hers too, so we started out in a good way. The salad was fresh and blue cheese dressing was good. I asked for a flavorful steak with minmal marbling. The one she picked was TREMENDOUS. Sorry I can't tell you which on it was.
