Need a beautiful Bed and Breakfast that has romantic whirlpool and fire place? This was exactly what i was looking for. The breakfast was brought up to our room like room service and was Excellent both mornings. Hope you enjoy your stay.
"After a long 10 hour flight from California and arriving at Weller Haus at 1:30 AM? The Church Steeple room was an oasis of comfort! It is two rooms side by side, one large bedroom suite with TV, Microwave and mini fridge, with the master bath and dining area and jacuzzi tub another huge room in itself. The owner is friendly, personable and met all our needs and special requests, including VERY late check in, early breakfast to our room day of departure and providing snacks and plenty of movies. The breakfasts are AMAZING, more than enough food and excellent presentation and quality. The inside and outside of the entire B&B is gorgeous. Parking is NOT an issue, do not let the "on street" parking spook you it is a quiet, pretty neighborhood perfectly located just 1.5 blocks from the Ohio river and a 5 minute drive to Cincinnati. We highly recommend this excellent B&B and will stay here again!
Wonderful and charming B&B a few blocks from Newport Aquarium. Stayed in the Church Steeple Suite and beds were very comfortable. Lovely coutyard gardens, enjoyed relaxing at the fire pit in the evening and took advantage of complimentary late night snacks, beverages and DVD library in the guest kitchen. Personalized amenities in our suite included champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, birthday ballons and birthday glassware. This was a pleasant and unexpected suprise that made our sisters birthday weekend even more special. Our Inn Keeper was a gracious hostess who prepared a lovely breakfast. We will recommend this place to friends and will patron again when visiting the Newport, Bellevue, Cincinnati area.

I've heard of some talk of this restaurant but have yet to finally go. Well I finally did and it was definitely worth the jump to try it! Now it was a Wednesday morning so it wasn't busy but the place is small and I could see it getting busy on weekends. Server was great and attentive. My mom ordered the Surf and Turf Egg Bake and I got the Goetta Grilled Cheese. Surf and Turf was similar to an omelet and included bacon, crab, and avocado. My mom said it was delicious. My goetta grilled cheese was delish too and came with a grilled egg and a side of potatoes. It also had their own bacon jam, which I'm told people put on the sandwich. I passed but it would be great on just toast. Overall we spent 25 bucks with a coke and oj, food was yummy, and we had plenty of leftovers. We will be back!
Good place for brunch. Seating can be limited but you can enjoy a cup of coffee while you wait. Or better yet get their mimosa / screwdriver hybrid (only $4) and relax. I typically get one of their skillet options which is a series of breakfast items covered in gooey melted cheese served on a cast-iron fajita skillet. It's a place i always tend to forget about as being an option but I am never disappointed when I'm there. If you've never checked them out I do recommend it.
I am only giving it 4 stars based on their coffee. We split the grilled cheese and it was delicious. Plenty to share. The potatoes were also delicious. It was quick, the atmosphere is nice, the food is great and the staff was friendly. Highly recommend.

B-List

After 4 beers and on the heels of a mind blowing skate punk show, it was too early to go home, yet too late to drive into the city, so me and a buddy of mine decided to hit it up...Oh, the B List, you have come my rescue on so many nights where we were in the intermediate zone between not driving and going to sleep, -so many legendary nights, so many mornings after. If you haven't been here before, on any given day you may find the following: hipsters, bros, locals, moms, wedding parties, Vietnam vets, construction crews, grass cutters, and my dad. The point being - This is a place for everyone!! It really is a grab bag of mixed characters, and you really never know what you are going to get. So the last time since I was here was about 11 months ago. Me and a buddy of mine decided to give it a go. The owners, Tom and Kevin (who also owns Milton's on Sycamore and Milton in DT Cincy) have always been gracious hosts, and will always make awesome recommendations. The B list has a raucous pool table, 6 active rotating taps, and about 60 bottled beers at any given time. The real draw of this place is the diversity, (and for me the fact that it is 3 blocks from my house), and the never ending jukebox. It may put people off that smoking is permitted, but this is a legit bar, in Campbell County, KY - So you kinda want that. A great neighborhood bar, where everyone knows your name, great juke, partners with delivery of food with discounts, pool table, rotating taps, neighborhood acquaintances, and an occasional dog or two. It's easy to miss this place if you're not looking, but once you found it, you'll be glad you did.
The B List is my favorite bar out of every bar in the world. That it is within stumbling distance from my house is akin to winning the lottery. This place has seen me at my absolute horrific worst and has managed to love me and take care of me anyway. On Saint Patrick's Day this year, I lost my phone, my purse, and my dignity, and I returned to B List the next day to a charged phone and all my belongings tucked neatly into my purse. The bartenders are the best and they have an awesome variety both people and drinks. Love this place.
It's the modern version of walking onto the set of cheers. If you spend thirty minutes in this bar you will have made two or more new friends. If that is something up your alley then you are set. After that, if you are local then stop in. Every bartender has their own charm they are typically knowledgeable and friendly. The only food is chips, peanuts, beer cheese, and a great delivery special from Marcos pizza. As far as entertainment goes they have a good pool table, decent dart boards, a pop-a-shot machine and two mega touch boxes. As a passer by, Wednesday is a good day to try out your pool game.

The king of the Bellevue strip!!! No, No. KY!!! This place is great!!! Love the variety on menu, sauces are some of the best in the city. The music is jazzy and relaxing along with the casual decor. Phenom service. A must go spot. I can wait to come back. It will be a new downtown and Northern Kentucky spot. Doug Elliott is literally one of the best service people I've ever met. I would buy stock in him and the chef/owner Jim Fisher in a heartbeat. These guys are awesome.
Major disclaimer: I have several friends who vehemently disagree with my opinion on this restaurant but here goes.... I'm super "meh" on this place. And it's a bummer because I LOVE the concept of the restaurant. It's in a really cool old building that's been renovated beautifully. It's a great local bar/restaurant. It serves fresh and healthier food with vegetarian options. It looks awesome from the outside. Need I say more? I always get myself excited about coming here. I tell myself I'm gonna eat really healthy, I might even eat a vegetarian dish, and all the while I'll be supporting a local business. And then I get to the restaurant, order something, and I am totally bummed. I just don't think the food tastes all that spectacular. They have a great selection and everything sounds really good. I just end up not enjoying what I've ordered essentially every time I've come. Now I will point out that by some happenstance, I always end up eating here right after a break up or a fight with my mother or something that definitely has put me in the bad mood. Perhaps my taste buds change in situations like that. So I'm not saying don't try it...clearly a lot of people really like it. I'm just saying that maybe you just wanna order the onion rings. Cuz those rock.
We found this place using the Yelp app while running around in Cincinnati. Its just across the river so we decided to give it a shot. It's in a cool old building. They have done a nice job renovating it. It's a shame they didn't have room for a nice patio. That would be a great compliment. We sat at the bar. The bartender said he is famous for his Bloody Mary's so I had to try one. It was decent. My wife got a glass of wine. They have a good selection on the menu including vegetarian options. I got the Bison burger and my wife got the smoked chicken nachos. Again, decent. My burger was an obvious frozen patty and my wife's nachos were a bit sad. The smoked chicken was really good though. I had hand cut fries with their house made ketchup. I am not a ketchup eater but it was good. The fries could have been cooked a little longer but still tasty. If we were in the area I would eat here again but it wouldnt be a place I make a special trip for.

Pasquale’s Pizza Carry Out

I've only been here twice, but it has been delicious both times. Judging by the amount of calls the girl in the front was taking, I'm guessing the rest of Newport agrees. I've only had their pizza, but it's great. Perfect sauce, cheese, dough ratio. Sauce isn't too sweet. Dough isn't too greasy. Good place for a quiet lunch or dinner.
The best pizza ( bacon ) The best pasta with meatballs Love it and you should try it
I am a huge fan of Pasquale's and can't understand all these negative reviews. It is kind of a mix of Italian/pizza fast food and a sit down restaurant. You have to go in expecting that and the pricing matches. They have delivery, you can carry out, or order at the counter and they will bring it out to your seat. I have not tried all of their food but their steak hoagy is where it's at. It reminds me of a JTM hoagy kit but way better. You can get a large hoagy, good thick crispy fries and a drink for around $7. You can't beat that. I would also recommend their pizza and flat bread but I usually always just get the large steak hoagy. I will say sometimes their food can take awhile, it's kind of hit and miss but that is also a good thing. It just means they are busy and popular because they have good food!. You can tell if you sit in and watch all the carryout orders being picked up.

Buckhead Mountain Grill

Reviews:
I can't think of any recent experiences that I have had that I was quite so underwhelmed. Coming from out of town, we brought our 93 year old grandmother here for a birthday dinner, per her request. Buckhead has treated us right on many other occasions, but I think it's riding high on it's glory days and capitalizing on the view. Our server was fine. He chewed gum while taking our order and forgot to bring a salad that was ordered. Other than that, he wasn't rude and brought us our food in an acceptable amount of time. For the most part, he was completely forgettable. The food was meh at best. We had 5 people at the table and no one loved their meal. I ordered a sampler of sides. (Salad, baked potato, green beans & apples) The salad was a cheap mix of ingredients from Sysco, swimming in bacon and a sea of crumbled egg. My baked potato was greasy and salty. (Can someone tell me how you make a greasy baked potato??) The green beans were the best thing that I had, but they were mushy. My apples tasted that they had come from a can and had been warmed back up in some gelatinous goo. I wasn't the only one with issues with my meal, but you know there is something wrong when a 13 year old doesn't touch his macaroni and cheese because it isn't good. For what you spend on a meal here, but you can do much better else where. This maybe a great place to grab a beer on a warm summer night on the deck overlooking the river, but that's about it. There are too many other great restaurants in Cincinnati to spend so much money to only have a meh experience. Do yourself a favor. Find something better. You deserve it!
Service was great, waitress quickly brought us our drinks. My girlfriend got the fajitas which were very similar to what you'd get at a don Pablo's or other restaurant. I got the Texas roast/mashed potatoes and green beans. It was delicious. Gravy was very good and all ingredients were fresh. It was gone in less than 5 minutes. Then I helped finish the fajitas. Price was $27ish for both entrees and view was amazing outside. Right over the Ohio river with a view of the downtown skyline.
The view is five stars the service is usually five stars and the food is good but the beer is better. A great value especially being so close to downtown. Oh and free parking.

Joe’s Crab Shack

Reviews:
We had reservations for 10 at 8 p.m. on a Saturday. It was a beautiful night to sit outside by the river and Joe's Crab Shack was hopping. Within about 40 minutes, we had our drinks. Our food order was taken, maybe, by one hour and a half. I was sitting at a table with 5 good friends. Because of the setting, the restaurant got the A-OK rating. The food was also very tasty. I ordered the appetizer of shrimp in a bucket (very good served warm), with a side salad (not remarkable), and yummmmmmmy hush puppies. They had an amber beer on draft that was delicious, but I don't recall the name. Except for the disgusting film on the menus, the long waits between service and the fact that we did not receive silverware until 10 minutes after our food arrived- all was well at Joe's Crab Shack. I knew going into this that Yelp reviews indicated service as reduced.
I went to Joes tonight with my Mom since she was in town and we had a pretty good experience last time we went. I asked to be seated on the patio because the great view. We waited for over 20 minutes to be greeted after 6 different servers had walked by our table. Being in the restaurant industry I found this completely unacceptable. We finally went in to get a manager, she said she'd be taking care of us for the rest of the night. She took our order and brought us waters then ended up passing us off to two other server. We got our app for free which was the "garlicky mussels." The mussel themselves were gritty and no longer attached to their there broken shells scattered throughout what was a pool of melted butter. I can't believe they actually let those leave the kitchen. Anyone who has worked in a restaurant that has served seafood should have recognized the poor food quality immediately. When we received our check we realized the manager also did not make us aware of a $9 up charge on our entree. Overall their staff seemed completely unaware of their surroundings, taking multiple smoke breaks, standing around the bathrooms, as well as openly being frustrated with each other. It's almost embarrassing they are still open. Especially with the closing of multiple Joes Crab Shacks throughout Ohio. It was a disappointment and not worth the $60 check we were left with.
My family and I went to this place today for my aunts birthday. We're finally seated after an hour and a half wait, only to wait another twenty minutes for a waitress to come over and take our orders. Upon ordering, we find out that there is no corn on the cob, which comes with everything, French fries, or a couple of other sides. After ordering, we wait nearly an hour for our food to come out. There were about 15 of us, however, every order came out without having side dishes. After our waitress dropped off the main courses, she left for about 30 to 45 minutes, while we ate, and then came back with a huge tray of side items. Of course we were all finished eating by then, so nobody wanted them, and I can't leave out the fact that in all of this time, no one received a refill to there drink. In addition to all of that, the steam pots came with about 2 or 3 pieces of shrimp in them. So after we were told that there was no corn, we observed tables being served corn, all over the restaurant. We arrived at about 5:15pm, we didn't end up leaving until about 9:20pm. After all of the complaints, and the manager arranging discounts, it took about 30 minutes to settle the checks.

This location is slightly worse than other locations. The food was consistent but the service was confused and angry. I drove through and ordered a #1 Combo and swapped fries for a salad with Caesar dressing. No Caesar? That's fine, Italian Dressing. I move to the pay window and they mentioned no more salad. That's fine, I'll have fries. I move to the pick-up window and my fries are missing (and no salad either, which is fine). That's fine, I'll let them know. This seemed to set off a series of yells between the ordering window, the cooking line, and the pick-up window. Everyone was confused about the salad, about the fries, and about me not getting the fries. I kept hearing, "He's saying he didn't get any" in a defensive and angry tone. The pick-up window eventually handed me a small bag with fries in them. It was fine but unpleasant.
This place is consistently terrible. Slow service, inaccurate service, rude service, and out of whatever you want to order no matter what time you visit. Saturday night at around 3 am three cop cars pulled up (maybe to arrest someone in their car?unsure) which delayed our order 25 minutes in a drive thru with only 5 or 6 cars in line. No apology or explanation was offered. For some reason I keep coming back hoping something different will happen...
Don't try to get food late, they will come outside and yell at your vehicle that they are closed when they are not. This just happened to me. When I confronted the guy that said this, he laughed and said he was joking. Too bad I don't care to have him handle my food after I just saw him smoking down his menthol outside. Learn customer service, regardless of the time of day. You're on the clock.
