Great steaks. Very tender. Every bit as good as Texas roadhouse. Beef ribs were very good also. Drinks included in the price of $10.90 for seniors. Way better than Golden Corral. I would go back there in a heartbeat if I lived here.

Not being from the area, and just passing through, we were simply looking for a spot to eat - just past breakfast, but before many places had opened. As luck would have it, Coyote Canyon appeared to be gearing up, and it also was billed as a "Steak Buffet". Who wouldn't like that? Unfortunately, they don't actually offer steak at lunch, which is a bit of a shame, but you can't really blame them - for $7+ at lunch, it would surely cut into their margins. They do, however, offer plenty of other food, and there is certainly no shortage of it. You get items from the grill, including pork chops and burgers, a "fajita bar" (with relatively tasty chili sauce), taco bar, salad bar, I am sure some other items I'm forgetting about, and a dessert bar that has a number of items I can't even begin to recount. Plus, you get drinks, including icee-style, all for the aforementioned price. Service is friendly, if not over-the-top, and at least at lunch, there are plenty of folks lined up right at the starting gate (around 11am). Definitely a worthwhile stop, though once you've tried it, you may not need to visit more than once every now and again.

This place wasn't bad for the price and had many options to choose from. The food is your average buffet food, but the carved meat was a little better than other buffets I've been to. The grilled pineapple was my favorite thing on the buffet.

Pretty standard American buffet. Went here on a Sunday evening, first impression was cleanliness which was lacking. Let me specify, the food areas where quite clean just floor needed work and no excuse cause they weren't that busy. One thing with food I noticed was a very slim selection of veggies. But for a buffet a decent selection of random food not best quality but still not too bad. I'd go again just not an often thing.

It was pretty darn good, place was packed to the rafters, but being a Sunday that wasn't their fault. Would recommend them

This is my second time here, last time was in October 2013. The food is good as well as the help. However as I pointed out last time, they have items in front of emergency exit. By hindering the ability to exit, and not fixing the problem since last year it is obvious customer safety IS NOT a concern to them.

I have had multiple visits to this restaurant in the past 4 years. The quality of the the food and cleanlyness has dropped dramatically since our very first visit here. Today my family and I decided to give it yet another try. Filthy plates x2, i would have thought that they would have made the effort after the 1st time it was pointed out that they had dirty dishes, made sure the others on that rack were clean but nope found another one 10 mins later. Not just a little bit of food, a whole spoonful of food both times. Mgr. came over and offered $2 off next visit. I told him that I don't want money off next time, I want clean dishes NOW. Even the food has slipped in the recent years, bones and cartilage in the chicken pot pie today and substandard chicken "tenders" (they used to be great) mgr. blamed it on the food distributor. Very disappointing, very.

I'm not a person that likes buffets. We were passing thru when a winter storm hit limiting our food choices. They planned on closing but people kept showing up and they stayed open and let everyone eat. The food was the typical buffet options... Lots to chose from. I'm just impressed they accommodated people even though I'm sure they all wanted to get home themselves.

A buffet folks - with good average food selection. Enjoy some difference for the same price as burger, drink and fries down the street. Nothing fancy so please don't get your hopes up but these folks provide a CLEAN, friendly place to eat. About $8 for lunch includes drink, Sr 's about a buck less. Tables are kept free of used dishes.

Great value for a family. Especially a family with small children age 3-12 are charged 55 cents per year. Good American buffet. Don't expect fine dining at any buffet. They're steaks are good and close to accurate for what you ask.

If their one thing Topeka dining is well known for it is the large amount of buffets/all-you can eat establishments. While not at the bottom of the totem pole Coyote Canyon surely falls well behind the pack. The selection is good but not what it could be. The staples are their a little comfort food, a little italian, a little mexican, a little bit of finger food for the kids, and a decent salad bar but nothing jumps out at you as looking really appetizing. Even the "Steak" buffet part of the equation is often a stretch because at times it has seemed very hit or miss on if Steak is available at all. Of course you don't expect fine dining when going to a buffet but some of the offerings are just bland beyond help (the mac and cheese comes to mind) or uterly disgusting. The deserts are portioned off into micro servings so if you want to have a indulgently sized piece of cake you have to pick up 4 plates. Their weekend breakfast buffet is pretty much more of the same... poor taste and poor selection (stay away from the "omlet station" at the grill... tasteless and underdone are the buzzwords there) and I can't understand why the full salad bar is available during a breakfast buffet. It seems they could swap a few of the salad bar selections out for more breakfast fare or fruits. The service varies on your server of course I have had great ones and simply awful ones. Overall the servers seem to fall into the categories of "could care less" and "agressively overbearing" with none of the inbetween you would like to see at a buffet establishment. I am not one to look up code violations other wise I would never eat out but you can tell by the look of the place and lack of attentiveness of the staff that this is not the cleanest place to eat and that is a bit worriesome. The price point for 2 adults is pretty reasonable but it begs the question "What am I getting for my money". You could get slightly better quality food with double the choices for just $2 more down the road at Golden Corral... not that they are amazing either... but if you are going to trade off flavor for cost it's better to get more bang out of your buck.

Every time we go to Topeka, which is once a year, we eat here. The main buffet has a ton of items to pick from...chicken, fish, meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn, pasta, baked potatoes, etc. There is also a salad bar, a buffet with mexican food and a dessert bar with a lot of options as well as an ice cream machine. The "wait" staff is hit or miss. The most recent time we were in they did a great job of removing old plates and keeping the table clear. However another time I don't ever remember them taking away our empty plates. If you are a buffet fan like I am you should give this place a try.

I don't know what I expected when I saw this next to the hotel. But I should have thought twice before I walked in... When I walked in I wasn't sure what to expect. But it was a pretty large buffet in several different stations. I started off and most of the food was bland and not great. It wasn't horrible...but you can bet that I'll never go back again. The service was non-existent. Just for fun, I would get just a couple of things, eat them and leave the plate on the table. I did this three times and when I left, all the plates were on the table. If you go by this place...keep on driving and don't look back.

Another attempt at a buffet. Went here on Caturday night with some friends. I was extremely unimpressed and one person who I was with commented it wasn't as good that night as it normally is. Price is basically $10 for dinner and $8 for lunch, with discounts for kids and seniors. Although they claim to be a steak buffet, good luck actually getting a steak or anything of that type. They have a line for the grill, but it was empty when I was there. There was one line for the side dishes. I had the macaroni and cheese, which had no flavor to it. It looked like everything there was made from a powder or came out of a can. The bread was decent though at least. The fried chicken was great. I think that was the only thing they did right. I did get a potato which was only half-done. Overall, the fried chicken was the only thing that kept this from being rated only 1 star. However, I could get it a lot cheaper elsewhere. Way overpriced for the crap you get.

Standard American style buffet. They had a little bit of everything including steaks, burgers, chicken, fish, meatloaf, potatoes, vegetables, salads, soups, and various desserts. The food was hot, the steaks and burgers are served right off the grill. The staff was friendly and the dirty dishes were promptly removed from the tables. We were there during lunch today and the place was fairly full. The price for the lunch buffet was a little over $7. This is a good place to go to if you are hungry and looking for the typical American style cuisine. They should have something for everyone unless you are a very picky eater.

I am surprised that this place has not been rated. This place was recommended to me by one of the hotel workers where I stayed. This place had a good variety of cooked food, salads and deserts. Everything that I had was good. I hit up the place for lunch and the place was packed. There were all kinds of people going for seconds and thirds on their favorite dishes. The service was also very good and courteous. Aside from the food and service the place was quite clean for lunch traffic. This place beats any Hometown buffet back in the west coast.
