I've been going here for 8 years! My in-laws have been eating here for at least 12. Best Chinese in the area! They recently started to offer sushi.

Best Chinese food in Topeka. Great service!!! My boys have come here several times and beg me to take them frequently. I found all types of Chinese food that you would expect. Very fresh. Deserts including some wonderful ice cream and also some Chinese donuts. Very reasonably priced. Staff was also very attentive. We had a pleasant dinner with excellent food!!!!

I ordered my meal to be delivered. The person taking my order was polite. When the food arrived it looked awesome. It was fresh and the quantity was large. The crab Rangoon looked like this it was homemade not frozen. I wish this was in Dallas. It was awesome!!!!! Definitely would choose this again.

This place has been around topeka for a long time. I love the food and they are good about keeping the buffet w fresh food. Wish they still had the ice cream cones to go though.

China Pavilion is a great place for a quick lunch at a reasonable price. Their buffet doesn't have a large selection, but does hit all the highlights with peanut chicken, general tsao's chicken, sweet and sour, beef and broccoli and the like. Best low mein in town. Pretty good fried rice although it can be dry. They recently started offering limited sushi, which definitely didn't hurt my feelings. The atmosphere isn't high end, but more than adequate for a family meal or lunch. Always good service.

Calling all sesame chicken lovers, Calling all sesame chicken lovers, Calling all sesame chicken lovers!!!!!!! This sesame chicken is awesome. It has -like- changed my view of sesame chicken forever. It's -like- double crunchy or something! It -like- has me all -like- talking valley girl -like- style and stuff about what I like! It's true, the decor is of the Retro Coy Fish genre. You know, two generations senior to the Ed Hardy Coy Fish series. Let's be real, though, we're there to practice fine ingestion with no limits NOT experience interior design dimensions and gimmicks. Put some delicious food in your mouth for a great price! The selection is limited to 1.5 tables, but that means the food is fresh and hot. I only wish they had sushi. Plus, your drink is always full and you can buy cheap necklaces and Hello Kitty stuff there!...Hello Kitty!!!!!!! Go kamikaze and give the place a shot. Empolol / Agent Ruke declee you be learry preased! I'm Asian, but if that last paragraph is deemed racist by enough yelpers I promise to delete it by the next year of the monkey. Sianarah!

Allow me to preface this review, my gluttonous expectations were lowered because well, we were in Topeka. The inside of China Pavillion left much to be desired, but the food was very good! They didn't have a lavish spread, but it was a decent size and even more fair was the price. They had soft serve, my new found favorite peanut butter chicken, and refills were ample. No complaints aside from the aesthetic. But really, the best food is found in the most hole in the wall places.

This is a Chinese Buffet. Unlike a lot of them in the area, this one has been around a long time (I think close to 15 years). However, the food is still decent here and they have a decent lunchtime crowd. Getting a spot isn't hard if you avoid the prime lunchtime rush. I end up coming here once every 6 months or so. The decor looks a little worn out and has been around a long time. Of course if the decoration inside is a major issue with you, you might want to avoid Chinese Buffets altogether. The food here is good and there is a small rotation of new items that appear here. Items that are marked hot and spicy aren't that hot or spicy though. Only complaint about the food is there could be a few more vegetable items or items that don't have meat in them. Price (I believe) is $7 per person for lunch and $9 per person for dinner. This is place is worth it.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city.
