This place sucks as a bar. It is the smallest bar I've ever been to and has like 5 bar stools and 2 pool tables. The atmosphere sucks and some of the characters here are sketchy. It must be noted that they always have local bands playing and it's a great way for local artists to start playing their first shows. Also they book metal bands like Origin that don't really play anywhere else in Topeka... Thats the only reason I gave it 3 stars.

The Boobie Trap has been a mainstay in Topeka for over 20 years. That right there should tell you something. I don't even live in Topeka, but when I pass through I always stay at least one night to go to this bar. The owners are good people. They're usually there to chat and get to know new customers. You get a full array of people who frequent this place, young and older. The bartenders get it done! This place is the only bar in town to host some amazing live music. There is ALWAYS something going on here. Like them on Facebook to get a full calendar. There are a couple pool tables in the back.

I have had the misfortune of going to this bar a few time to see some local bands. The drinks where not priced too bad for the area. The staff where not the worst in town. The layout is poor. The bands volume is beyond loud. I spent most of my time out back to stay away from the noise. The bath room was deplorable. The ceiling in the main bar is about to fall in on someone. The entire place smelled of stale beer. That was the first experience I had there. The second time I went there I never got to even order a drink. I showed up a little early I guess. Because there are no posted hours of operation signs I had no idea. The front door was open and a few people where inside so I went in. The employee behind the counter asked if was with the band I said no. Then she yelled at me and said I needed to leave because they weren't open. I started to ask when they opened and she told me to get the hell out. So I have no need to ever go back there.

Best little dive bar in Topeka. The owners are fantastic people who strive to provide locals with something exciting to do. They've got karaoke on Wednesday nights, Resistance! (dance night with local and guest DJs) on Thursday nights, bands on the weekends, and themed parties for special events. Their craft beer selection is awesome, and so are their bartenders.

Great local dive bar. Expect cheap drinks, urine- soaked bathrooms and lots of charm. What more could you ask for?
