Big local brewery in Topeka. This place has daily specials ranging from fish to steak to fajitas and gets super busy right at the peak hours of dinner and lunch but the wait isn't bad 10-15mins. We tried the place on a Thursday at 7pm, waited 10 mins for a table and enjoyed a local brew while we waited. Thursday special was 6oz steak, ribs and a side for $12.99. Pretty good choice which we tried. The ribs had spicy BBQ which gave good flavor but not too much heat with a side of mash potatoes and gravy. The gravy was a country white gravy which was a different taste but good. Must try the chicken fried steak. Super tender and ohhhh so good with the gravy. The dinner comes with 2 sides and the sides are pretty large portion. Mac and Cheese has a homemade taste but let me feeling that something was missing but the seasoned fries were good. The kids meal chicken strips is a good pick up and plenty for anyone. 2 large chicken tender lions, side of your choice and drink for $4.99 pretty decent. Tried several of the beers and thought they were all worth getting again. Try the raspberry beer might be worth a taster. The manager on duty was great, came by and made sure we were taken care of. Give it a try!!

This place is so great. They have an awesome name, logo, concept, menu, everything. This is such a unique place inside and out. It almost reminds me of an old log cabin style ski resort clubhouse somewhere....It was crazy packed on Friday night but I managed to snag a seat at the bar. Great, friendly bartenders and managers. Their beer is much better than I anticipated from some brewery in Topeka, Kansas. I'd sampled their beer before at a festival and that's what drove me here on this fine evening. Great selection of unique styles and different variations of the same style. They can hold their own with any brewery in the area, save for one, and I;m sure everyone knows who that is...All the IPAs are great and I enjoyed the differences in their several wheat beers. Prime rib was outstanding. I have never had such a perfect smoked prime rib. Just enough smoke for a prime rib without over doing it. I would highly recommend coming here on Friday or Saturday just to try that. I'm sure this place is popular with the locals, but if you're passing through or live within an hour or two it's definitely worth the drive.

The burnt ends say no more... The mac n cheese is to Die for! Love this place! Servers are so friendly! The raspberry wheat it delicious! Can't wait to come back!

I have had several meals here with large groups five to ten people. Service has always been fast and friendly. This place is busy and the food has been very good. I have not had the beer but it looks good. The chicken fried steak is great. Tonight we're eating the grilled chicken with vegetables for the healthy side.

This was a decent little spot in Topeka. I stopped here on the way home from Virginia. The meal was decent, nothing special. Service was adequate. It's definitely a 3 star spot with a little bit of upside.

Awesome beer, awesome food!! 'Nuff said!! Don't forget to ask to have Dani as your server!!

It looks like the 80's in here. Seriously. It's all wood and brass and fake plants and burgundy accents. I was having flashbacks to Elementary School while I was here. It's clean, it's just super dated. But I was here for the food and beer, and it did not disappoint. The menu is extensive, and I was with a large party, and everyone was happy with what they got. The portions are big- my friend's Chicken Fried Steak was literally larger than the plate it was on. They have a daily hummus special, which I think is cool. This particular evening, it was lime-Sriracha. I didn't taste much lime, but the Sriracha was good and not overpowering. It was served with some really delicious toasted pita & big slices of cucumbers and carrots. It says 'veggie chips' on the menu- but don't go thinking they're 'chips' as in the Lay's variety- they're just veggies. But I'm sure you'll feel virtuous and healthy like I did while eating these kinds of 'chips.' The Raspberry beer I had was super delicious. I'm not a beer connoisseur, but I liked it a lot and will gladly order it again. They also brew their own root beer, which one of my friends got and said it was amazing. The layout of the place is weird. I guess it's because they need to accommodate all the brewing tanks, but you get to go on a little tour of the place as you find where you're seated, and admire all the totally tubular 80's design grandeur.

This is a really interesting little place! Some seats have windows overlooking the brewing area, which was cool, and there are lots of photos and company memorabilia on the walls. I had a flight of four wheat beers that I enjoyed, even as someone who doesn't typically drink beer. I was very excited to have burnt ends in their native home of Kansas City. They were very good, though I admittedly don't have much to compare them to. The mashed potatoes were good, but I definitely regretted not ordering them with gravy. They paired with burnt ends quite while. I also liked both of the BBQ sauces they brought out; the sweeter one was probably my favorite. The restaurant is cool but feels a little cramped. We had 6 of us seated at a table for 8 or so, and we felt like we were right on top of the similarly-sized party seated next to us. There were lots of people there enjoying lunch, but we didn't have to wait, so I have no complaints there. If I'm ever back in KC, I'll definitely check this place out again.

The brews here are seriously delicious, and the service is up to par with the friendliness you expect from any midwestern establishment. The food was good (not great, hence the 4 stars) but complemented the beers nicely. Overall a great place to grab some beers and food with some friends! The wait was really long, so if you can make a reservation or get there early (if you're trying to go on the weekend) then do so!

I'm probably not the target audience for this place as it's known as a brewery and I'm a teetotaler. With that said though, this is a great place for events and big groups/parties as it's a spacious setting with quite a history. The food is pretty good, though I wouldn't go here in search of a life-changing bite.

This is a fun place to visit! The Blind Tiger was stop number one in a pub-crawl that Tiffany and I did across Kansas and into Missouri. We arrived on a Saturday night with no reservations to a packed parking lot and an even more packed restaurant. Which was fine because it gave us an excuse to sit at the bar and have our meal there as well as sample the fine offerings pint by pint. The service was great despite what seem to be at least one third of all Topeka also enjoying the evening there. The food was served fast, hot and flavorful. The beer brewed on site was tasty and did not disappoint two thirsty travelers that are looking forward to our next trip through Topeka!

Stopped off in Topeka for a quick refuel and to get some Kansas BBQ. Gal at the Airport recommended Blind Tiger. Some great IPA home brew, and the comfort food hit the spot. In fact it ended use being my only meal of the day. If for some remarkable reason you are in Topeka, hit this place for great Brewski and BBQ.

Great service. Fallon was smiling and helpful from the time we sat down in the bar to wait for our 'card' to come. She moved us to a table in the bar and we stayed there for dinner. Hummus appetizer was great. I had the burnt ends, my wife had the brisket plated. More than we could eat. I tried all 3 IPAs, and found the Anniversary edition a bit fruity for an IPA. The raspberry wheat was good. Just passing through but we'd sure go again and darn sure sit at one of Fallon's tables.

Great fish and chips, great chicken strips, and really great Java Porter. Building is in need of a serious renovation. It's always busy because it's the only brewery in Topeka. Service is pretty good, depends on the waiter.

The one gamble at Blind Tiger is the service. Hit or miss. Over the winter, we've had both. But yesterday, we had lunch and finally got to experience the Thursday Lunch Taco Salad. Yum! I think this might become the new date night situation. Crispy light shell, plenty of seasoned beef, and yummy dressing on the side. Sure to fill you up! One of the best Taco Salads!!

Was looking for a decent brew pub in Topeka while traveling on business and this place was recommended. Not bad. Not great but not bad. Service was quick and friendly. I ordered Dan's Dip (a queso dip) as an appetizer. The dip was good but the tortilla chips were just about stale. Not crunchy at all. Ordered their pulled pork platter with mac and cheese and cole slaw. It came with two different sauces, a house sauce and a sweet and spicy BBQ sauce. Both were good and the pulled pork was decent. For my beverage, I first tried the Raw Wheat beer. Not bad but not the best I've ever had. Similar to a Blue Moon or a Hefewiezen. Also tried the County Wheat, who his a filtered wheat. Pretty unimpressed with that one. Not bad but just didn't excite the taste buds. Menu selection is good. I can see trying this place again when back in town.

Passing through town on what would be the coldest night of our three-week road trip, we sought shelter at the Blind Tiger for a bite, a beer and the second half of the Super Bowl. Given the wind chill of 5*F, the crowd was understandably sparse. However, under normal conditions, the appealing (if not atypical) layout of the bar and restaurant would seemingly lend itself nicely to a bustling Friday or Saturday night. Alas, our needs were simple: food, fermented beverages and a respite from the frigid, blustery highway. Several TVs in the barroom provided adequate viewing of the exciting and perplexing (sorry, Marshawn) finale to the NFL season. The barbecue combo I ordered was not horrible but, being a North Carolinian (and a very open-minded one, at that!), certainly won't get any high marks from me. The brew, on the other hand, is very good. Unfortunately, I don't really keep a beer journal and had not yet discovered Untapped, so I cannot tell you exactly what I drank. The take-away from my experience is this: surprisingly great beer, average food, some fun-time potential... and, to date, Topeka is the coldest place I have ever been in my life. Cheers!

When we are in Topeka Kansas this is the must stop for BBQ and Beer. Wife has to have the County Seat Wheat beer. One time that I get to be the Designated Driver is when we are in Topeka at the Blind Tiger. Of course I get to take a growler home for later. JCP

In Topeka on work travel, and I found the Blind Tiger Brewery. It was a rocking bar at only 6 on a Tuesday. Lots of friendly locals. I had smoked chicken with yummy black beans and cole slaw. The chicken was juicy and the spicy BBQ sauce is good. Awesome beer- the Tiger Paw Porter is a great winter beer. The County Seat Wheat was light and delightful. Only problem was that I had to drive back to the hotel, and had to stop there. There was a basil beer and a raspberry beer on tap too. I may have to go back tomorrow..

This place looks more like a old style country place but it is place where you can be satisfied for your money.... they brew the beer and food will huge and will definitely satisfy your appetite... peanuts without peeled will definitely remember of your old days... even though I don't have beer, I could smell it good at this place and patio was so good... I have enjoyed having food with moon and it was perfect evening dinner

The food was not very good. Out of 10 people non of us were very happy with our meal. Half of us didn't receive our food for another 10 minutes after the first were served. The bar makes a good drink. The atmosphere in very dated. The waitress was nice, but made mistakes. The last time most of us had been there it wasn't good. Still not good. Won't be back. Ever.

My chicken tasted very strange. My other guest tried a small piece and said do not eat that you may get sick from bad chicken. The manager came over and cut a piece of my chicken off and ate it , then said nothing is wrong with it. Never asked if I wanted to exchange it or take it off my bill. $10 plus for a few French fries as it ended up. I guess he wanted me to throw a fit. The waitress was no help and rather crude. If you want good customer service this is not the place for you.

I had the Texas roadrunner and stuffed mushrooms with a beer sampler, I tried the raspberry wheat which I did not care for, honey wheat great! Little red corvette, awesome! And pale ale which I didn't care for...food was awesome, service was fantastic and my husband had the root beer and loved it so much he got a squealer of it to take home! Def family friendly we are Def going back!

Food was a little disappointing....beer was delightful. ...and by no fault of the establishment. ..our waiter was down right awful. ...but thanks to a bus boy who brought us our food ( and was tipped at the end by my wife in the back) and the waitress who was assigned to the table next to us ( also someone my wife ran down after we finished to thank and tip).. so....nice place to stop and get a local brew...but the food is definitely hit or miss...

Blind Tiger make some very good brews, they had something for everyone on tap and offer sample sizes, so you can try them all of course! Their pulled pork sandwich (Carolina style with the coleslaw) and their BBQ sauces made for one fantastic evening in Topeka. Their food menu, like their beer menu, is extensive I will be back the next time I'm in town.

Sorry, Blind Tiger, but it just wasn't happening for you on this particular Friday night. The food was bland (rib tips, prime rib, chix fingers and a grilled cheese - none of which were memorable) and the service was weak. I get that this might be a fun place to sit down at the bar and knock back a variety of brewskis, but for a meal it's just ok.

Plenty of great choices for beer, you can also get your growler to go. Wide variety of good food on the menu also. Almost always get great service, occasional new waitress that hasn't had enough training but not often.

My boyfriend and I love coming to the Blind Tiger, especially when there's a good game on. I'm gonna go on a limb here and say they have the BEST buffalo wings and bleu cheese I've encountered yet. While I'm not a huge fan of their beers (I'm more of a Wisconsin micro-brew gal), I can get by with their Kolsch, my boyfriend loves just about all of their beers though, especially the Maibock . The service is almost always perfect (there's been a couple busy nights, but whatever) and rarely have we had incorrect orders. I have yet to order something from the menu that I really disliked. My favorites on the menu include their sirloin steak or their fish and chips. The taco salad isn't that great, it has a little too much meat on the salad for my liking. If I'm feeling like a real fatty, enjoying my beer and watching a good KU game, I'll indulge in their cheese fries. YUM. I really wish they'd get some bigger TV's in the place though. That addition alone would make it our sole destination for game days.

Had dinner here not too long back and they were sold out of the ribs so I had to settle for "chicken and noodle" which I didn't realize was a delicious dish all its own apart from "chicken noodle soup." Good beer brewed there on the premises and a huge venue - part sports bar, part decent restaurant with above average waitresses, looks-wise. Will probably stop by the next time I'm in town.

I cannot say enough about this place. They don't do anything amazing, but everything they do they do exceedingly well. As with always a Jack of all trades restaurant is a place after my heart. A bit of history, Blind Tiger opened before the craft brew trend was big. They opened before they micro-brew scene was mainstream. I remember coming to this place as a kid, knee high to the bar and getting great beer (okay, root beer.) I was always fascinated with the layout of the restaurant (ADA accessible IT IS NOT!) Little has changed since it was a private club called "The Nest," sans the addition of MASSIVE brewing equipment. That is what adds to the allure of the Tiger. It is a multi-leveled adventure in stair navigating that becomes more entertaining by each succulent drink. An English friend who would come over and insist on only drinking here. Saying it was the only vestibule to escape the "cat's piss" of American beer. As for the food, I cannot rave enough about their wings. The only place I know of that smokes their wings and hands down my favorite IN THE ENTIRE WORLD! Or at least what I've tasted of it at least. The Tiger Tips are awesome and a great steal when compared to the ribs themselves. More food at a fraction of the price? Sign ME up. As for beer? The awards speak for themselves. Gold medalist, silver medalist, world cup this, award for that... blah, blah, blah. I don't really care. The beer is amazing and they have never, NEVER charged me for tasters. Other micro-breweries, all the time. This place, not once. You'll find something to drink, I Gar-un-teeeee. Pro tip, if they have Maibock, order that. The beer is amazing and happens to be a high ABV. One or two of these babies and you're done. DONE I SAY!

My husband and I are from out of town so had never heard of the Blind Tiger. We like Brew Pubs so decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. Our server was great- very helpful with recommendations and very attentive. Both beers we ordered were good- the Stout and the Smoky Beer. My husband had a chicken quesadilla which was excellent and I had brisket with baked beans and vegetables. The brisket with BBQ sauce was tender and tasty. The baked beans were fabulous! I like them a little on the sweet side but still smoky- they were so good! The vegetables were crisp and not seasoned at all- fine with me. If we lived around here we would be back!

The Blind Tiger is an easy and welcome dip into the waters that are Topeka, KS. The obvious non-franchise stop for lunch. Do it. At the door the diner is greeted by staff ready to seat you anywhere within the sprawling, dated complex. Wood paneling and emphemerata line the walls. Large stainless brew tanks are located at the center. Within a reasonable amount of time I am greeted by my extremely personable server. She pushes the daily special and encourages my sampling of their brews. The patron is made to feel welcome here. I order the Caesar Salad, which is actually really good. The chef clearly wants it to be a quality salad and the flavors are all spot-on. The only drawback are the somewhat-less-than-fresh greens. Still, I ate the whole thing. The beer is average and expansive. I only sampled their flagship wheat beer. It was fine. One could spend many visits responsibly sampling The Blind Tiger's native offerings. Chances are it would be time well spent. Swinging through Topeka? Do yourself a favor and stop in for a piece. The people here are friendly, and The Blind Tiger is a good a place as any to take that in.

I hate that this place gets poor reviews so often, because it is really amazing, especially for Topeka. While I will admit that I don't like everything on the menu, what I do like is so awesome that I understand I just need to figure out what is excellent and run with it. THE BEER. The best. Really, really good and crafted there. Just amazing, and it will mess you up, so watch out! I truly think their appetizers are the best things they offer, not to diss their entrees. The Texas Nachos are SOOOOOO GOOD!!!! Huge plate of chips smothered in their slow cooked black beans that have so much rich, deep flavor, and then melted cheddar cheese (no processed cheese food here, sorry queso lovers!) and green onions, tomatoes, who really knows? All I know is that it is awesome and enough to feed an army. Their fried pickles are also the best I've ever had, and I saw they took them off the appetizer menu but next time I will ask because they still make them to put on sandwiches. The stuffed mushrooms, tiger tips, and cheese fries also super good! It is trial-and-error with entrees. My boyfriend loves their BBQ but does not like their sauce, so he has learned to order sauce on the side and go with ketchup or whatever instead. I have learned that some things I love at other restaurants I don't like so much here, like the fish and chips or the fish tacos, but that just means I don't order them. My kids love the hot dogs and corn dogs (which are enormous and made in-house- who does that?) and the chicken fingers and the burgers, the list goes on. It's just good. So just eat there. Yes, the decor is very 1970, but whatever. I'm not there for the scenery.

Me and my husband went here for my birthday expecting delicious steaks and a special night. Both of our steaks were over cooked. They were so dry I couldn't chew the meat. The server was nice but never asked about the whole, Uneaten steak on our plates. She seamed hurried to get us out. It was my first time to blind tiger and had heard great things. I was very disappointed that after waiting an hour for our table, my birthday dinner consisted of sweet potato fries. (Which were delicious but not worth the $18 I paid for my steak meal.) Usually I say something if it's that bad but I didn't want to ruin the night for me and my husband.

First time here and I enjoyed the food. Not a beer drinker so I didn't partake in those but for whoever is this place has a lot of their own beer. Chicken fried chicken was soo tender. I recommend it. Apparently it's a favorite around here.

This meal was amazing!!! We had a bison burger and fries, the steak and rib special, and the 6oz sirloin with homemade Mac and cheese. We ended our meal with their homemade brownie delight and a couple of beers to accompany the meal. There was an empty plate from everyone at the table!

This is a great place to eat. There is something on the menu for everyone and it is reasonably priced. The pulled pork and barbecue chicken are very good. I am not a beer drinker, but my boyfriend really enjoyed the Munich Dunkles in the growlers which are priced well. The Say Cheese Fries appetizer is tasty.

Apparently the Blind Tiger is "the place to go" in Topeka, however my experience did not meet that standard. I waited an hour for my food and when I received my cheese quesadilla, it was mediocre at best. When handing me the plate, my waiter told me it was a chicken quesadilla. As a vegetarian, I was alarmed. However, I cut into the tortilla and there was no chicken in sight. False alarm! The guacamole looked like it had been sitting out for too long-and it probably had considering that we sat around for so long! I'm giving this place 2 stars because I had their brewed root beer and that was excellent! However, I probably would not recommend the Blind Tiger unless you like slow service and mediocre food.

Great place to stop for a meal. we are traveling through so our drink selections were limited, but the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans was quite good. the service was excellent with several staff people and management stopping by to make sure that all was well. We received more than adequate amounts of food and refills on their excellent root beer without even asking, and the pricing gave us excellent value. I would stop back, and I can recommend it to you, also.

Stopped here as we were passing through town and found that our experience did not live up to the hype of the other reviews in yelp.com . We were greeted with a 15-20 minute wait time when there were open tables and booths in sight. My fiancé was excited about the prospects of their various BBQ options, to which our waiter had to return to our table to tell us they were out of his first and second choices, and the dinner specials for the evening. Though our plates were steamin' hot, and my serving of New Orleans pasta was tasty, our food (including my fiancé's nachos) were incredibly greasy. Our server, Sean, was pleasant and attentive, even though we spent more time waiting to be seated and for our food rather than eating. We believe our experience would have been totally different had they had their menu items actually in stock, especially with their assortment of on-site crafted beers and unique brewery atmosphere.

As a West Coaster your food blew my mind. Essential mid west food with out being cliche. Great job. Decent beer. Would go back for sure. Would love to see a higher IBU IPA.

Go for the beer. The IPAnemia was excellent and the Octoberfest was great. Better have a designated driver is you date go beyond this two. Watching my waist band expand so I had the Tilapia. It was OK. The loads mashed potatoes were served COLD. They were replace and were good. The green beans we a little over cooked. The Tilapia was very well grilled. The server was attentive but not invasive. I was concerned as I entered because it was seat yourself. I did not wait long before I was greeted. All on all a pleasant experience. What I really wanted was a plate full of burnt ends.

Let me start by saying that the beer is fantastic, however they have lost me forever because of the terrible service and average food. My wife and I have only lived here in Topeka for a little over a year and have been to the blind tiger 5 times and only once have been even mildly impressed with the level of service and have always left mildly dissatisfied with our meal. I do not recommend this establishment if you want something to eat. However, If you do want to stop by and have a very tasty beer its worth a try. happy yelping

I haven't been to this place in years. Nothing has changed. Doesn't look like the place has been cleaned either in the past 20 years. Very filthy. Can't imagine what the kitchen looks like if management allows the front of the house to be so dirty. May a mistake a took my 8 year old and looked down in to the area in the bottom floor where some of the beer vats are. Near the restroom. He pointed out the dust and dirt collecting on everything and said "the cleaners must not get paid to clean down there." Would love to see management or ownership show some passion and clean the place and update it. At least but a little money into the bathrooms and clean them up.

A good selection of beer, a good buffalo burger, and Gilligan's Island on the TVs. It was crazy, crazy busy in here for a middle of a Saturday afternoon - glad to see the people of Topeka need their beer.

Their TV advertisements always turned me off. So I never thought I would ever come here to have a drink and a meal. Well that changed when it was suggested by the gf to dine here. From the outside, it's not much. In fact it looks a bit smaller from the outside. Once you do walk in, this place is massive. It has a lower and upper level seating and it feels like it keeps going on. The lighting is a amber glow, which gives it a darker atmosphere. With the amount of people it seats, it'll be above average for noise level. I ordered the Honey Wheat beer, which honestly was not impressive at all. Light beers are generally easy to drink, but this ranked close to a Coors Light. It had barely any flavor and no resemblance to any Honey flavoring. It was good, but I think next time I'll try a few different beers. From what I saw on some waitresses trays, they had small cups which looked like samples. For my meal, I ordered a 10 oz corner steak - medium rare. I generally do medium rare because most places tend to slightly over cook what you requested. What I got was impeccable. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned perfectly. Out of all the steaks I have ate, this was by far the best one I have eaten. The waitress gave me the option of replacing the salad with another side. I did that and had the vegetable medley and garlic mashed potatoes. Both came out scorching hot. Give it time to cool off before you get a mouthful. Our waitress checked on us every 10-15 minutes, which I think was fair and not too obtrusive. So service was great. I tried out my gf's chicken, which was moist and good. Chicken is fairly difficult to cook, because it can often come out dry and tasteless. Blind Tiger's strength is in their food. It was spectacular. I don't think we waited too long either for our food. After it was ordered, about 10-14 minutes it arrived. Usually this is a red flag for "pre-prepping" food that is usually bad. Not the case here. I recommend them highly if you're visiting Topeka and want a great meal at a great restaurant.

We had a party of ten, that came here after a bridal shower. Our party consisted of parents, of both the bride and the groom, and the wedding party. We were here at 7pm on a Saturday night. The manager came over to us and told us to keep it down. Not once but twice. As someone who had spent many years of my life working in the food service industry, I would never approach a table who was just having fun and not being a disturbance to others in the bar. The manager here is obviously suffering from some sort of superiority complex. I would like to highlight the fact that we are in Topeka, Kansas. This was the worst dining experience that I have had in my entire life. The food is bar food, we are not ordering steak and lobster.

Checked out the Blind Tiger tonight. My son ordered the Cajun Pasta and really enjoyed it. My second son ordered the fish and chips and I think he ate them only because he was so hungry. My husband ordered the bison burger and I ordered the regular burger. Both burgers were very over done but the flavor was there...just wish they had asked how we wanted our burgers cooked. The sides were OK. We could tell it was the end of the day and perhaps the food wasn't as fresh. The beer was great tasting but room temp. The best part was the service. Our waiter was so friendly and on top of everything...perhaps that's why we couldn't bring ourselves to return the burgers. Great service, not worth the 75 bucks.

Been here about 4 times, never coming back. The service is abhorrent. I've never had even decent service, I always leave angry. The food is mediocre... I like the Carolina style pulled pork okay, but that's about it. The last time I was there I splurged on the "famous prime rib" it was terrible. Tough, under seasoned, all around it was a major disappointment. The only saving grace, for me, is the beer. It is very good, I love the Java Beer especially. But I'm not enough of a beer drinker for that to bring me back. I'd rather drive out to Freestate where the food and service is a higher quality.

My 2-star review is an average -- not among lots of visits, but an average between the food and the beer. I'll start with the beer, which is what brings the average up. Blind Tiger brewers have won national awards for their beer. I know they're located in humble ol' Topeka, Kansas, but beer judges (and real people!) from all over the country respect and enjoy their beer. Myself included. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of beer. Each one is balanced and flavorful (the former being something many microbreweries can't accomplish). The beer ranks 4 stars. The food, on the other hand, rates about 1 1/2 stars for me. Their menu has practically 100s of choices. That might be good, if they could do any one of them (or, preferably more than one) well. There is nothing special about this food-service standard fare. Nothing is fresh, nothing seems to be done in-house or with any originality. I wish they could find someone half as creative and serious about their craft as their brewmasters, to create and supply a menu. The building is strangely configured (so many steps -- definitely not mobility friendly) and has 80s decor, but I'm way more concerned about the product. I love the beer so much, but the poor quality food will keep my family and me away for regular dinners out. Blind Tiger, I wish you'd put more effort into your food. You'd see me a lot more often!

Great beer but horrible service and ok food. Maybe just a bad night but wen my coworker sends her steak back 2 times and the appetizer once you may have a problem. Also asking to get your own drinks not a fan. At least the wait staff is good looking if your a dude and in to cuties

My girlfriend and I were looking to try a local restaurant for dinner and I picked the Blind Tiger based on the number of recommendations from sites like this as well as from the staff of the hotel we were at for the night. While the entrance is a bit unorthodox, the interior is spacious and we were promptly seated. Our waitress attended to us fairly quickly, though it did take a while for us to get our order. Wasn't all that busy, but that's about the sole negative for this place. As for the food, it was pretty good. Both of the entrees we ordered were not sitting under a heat lamp forever. Very much fresh on both counts. I ordered Chicken Fried Steak here and she ordered the pulled pork. My entrée was large, but not too large that you couldn't enjoy it in one sitting and the seasoned green beans and garlic mashed potatoes complemented it well. Her pulled pork (which, I admit I sampled) was also done well... halfway tasted like Hog-Wild in Wichita and elsewhere, down to the sauce, but that certainly isn't a complaint. One of the best parts of the evening is when one of their commercials came on one of the games that was playing on the TVs there. A few of the employees roundly made fun of the commercials, which was a good sign. The quality of the food and drink speak for themselves, and if you can have a bit of fun at your own expense, all the better. In all, very much recommended. Didn't have drinks this time since I was driving, but will definitely have to sample it when we're back in town for a longer period of time.

Food (tiger paws, quesadillas), beer and service were all great and exceeded expectations. Ariel did a great job during a hectic time. Best yet - the beer snob approves!!

While on business in Topeka with 3 other business travelers, the Blind Tiger was recommended to us for beers and barbeque. We went for lunch one day and for dinner another day. When we went for dinner, I ordered a flight of 4 beers to try. I tried a pretty wide variety of the beers and I liked them all: Maibock, IPA, Pale Ale, and Black IPA. For lunch, I got the pulled pork sliders and fries with the spicy BBQ sauce. I liked the pulled pork, it was smoky and the sauce was a nice balance of spicy and sweet. Two of my lunch-mates ordered the taco salad and they really enjoyed it. Another lunch-mate ordered the small portion burnt ends and it was a lot of food - but very good. Overall, I was impressed with the lunch. The food at dinner was less impressive. I ordered the brisket sandwich. It was sliced way too thin and it was very dry. The roll was also really dry - it must have been old, because it got drier and harder to break apart as I ate it. I don't know how to rate this place, but I would give them another shot because lunch was very good and the beers were too.

2.5 stars - I will split the difference - not good and not bad. Beer is really tasty - food was okay but not great. Brisket (special tonight and apparently known for) was dry - flavorful but dry - scallop potatoes luke warm - wont go back

As mentioned in my first review, weI would only go back if invited by others. We were. Same song, second verse. The food was not something to bring you back. We shared the Kansan, which is a bison burger for $12.99 served with one side. We bought a second side. She had a baked potato. I had steak fries. The bison was well below the quality of other bison burgers in the area and the potato offerings were just average. One note on service, when our food was delivered, I asked for ketchup. After my steak fries started to cool, I got up, went over to one of the wait stations and asked for some ketchup. On my way back, I noticed a shelf directly behind where I was sitting that housed all of the condiments. About a fourth of the way through fries, the waitress returned with the request. How hard would it have been to simply reach around me when I initially asked? Sorry, wish I could raise my initial rating, but I can not. And I will never suggest this place to others. Many better options in the area.

One of my favorite places to eat in town, their nachos loaded with black beans, colby jack ,pico, Anaheim peppers, are out of this world, I always get the chicken quesadillas with smoked chicken which is what makes them special compared to others . All of their salads are great and they make a mean ranch dressing. Their pulled pork sandwich is tender and has a wonderful flavor with or without BBQ sauce. They have many of their own brews to please almost anyone. I saw a few bad reviews and i am surprised, we have not had a bad meal since the latest owners took over a couple years ago.

I'm from Topeka and this place has been around for a long while. I've come here a handful of times in the last 15 years. Over Christmas a high school friend and I ran in to get some beers. The place probably could use an update and a good deep cleaning but overall it's a good place to try some good beers. The bartender was kind enough to offer us some samples and allowed us to joke with her and ask questions about the beers. There are LOTS of tvs to watch all the games and the crowd was middle aged, so nothing too out of control. Overall, good place to get a drink and eat a bite.

  • C-pher M.

OK, so I was talking to the Bartender and he suggested some of their world class beers....and in his world, some beers that you're only going to get in Belgium or Topeka. And I have to say, these beers were great. Also, he said that they weren't known for their BBQ, and he wasn't sure why. And honestly, I can't either because it was DAMN good. I got the mixed sliders of Burgers and pulled pork. And both were amazing. And the fries were very good. If I had time...I would have gone back for another time it was that good. The cool thing...they do growler exchanges. So, if you have a growler from another brewery, they will take yours, give you one of their filled and wave the growler deposit.

  • Reed N.

The BBQ selection I had here was very well done. The burnt ends were passable, and these are just so hard to get right. But theirs were tender and well seasoned, but absent of enough smoke. The rib tips were awesome. Smoky and seasoned with a rub that surely had Ancho chili powder in it. I inquired and they flat refused to divulge one ingredient. This is beyond comical as it was most certainly ancho chili powder... and now the whole world knows. If they would have confirmed to me I would have never mentioned it here. BTW, ancho powder is a secret weapon of mine in the kitchen... go getcha some! The attitude toward secrecy means that most shows will never stop here. Of course, that is probably a good thing as we can all continue getting seated to eat the good food here!

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Topeka. Love the layout and design of the place both inside and outside - and the food is better than most major chain restaurants. They offer a wide selection from pasta to chicken to steak and more. The brewery half of Blind Tiger is equally as good - great beers at great prices. Usually a very busy place at all times of the day any day of the week. You guys should really think about getting a bigger parking lot though.

We went for lunch and had quick and friendly service. My friend had a couple beers which he enjoyed, I had a type of fruity/raspberry wine/beer, they had a name for it but I can't remember what it was, I didn't care for it though, too sweet. I had the turkey wrap which was really good. The smoked turkey in the wrap was delicious. My friend had their wings and would not stop saying how awesome they were and they were the best he'd ever had. One complaint, there were lipstick marks on my glass like it wasn't cleaned thoroughly. It was replaced, however that makes me question cleanliness.

Came here for dinner with business colleagues. Good food, reasonable prices. Beer selection was great, and we did, for the most part enjoyed the experience. However, it lost points as the service was a bit slow. Maybe it was an extremely busy night, however, that was the only criticism we had.

The blind tiger is a Topeka institituion that has gotten better over the years. Not only do they brew good beer, but they make some credible bbq. I have been there off and on over the last ten years, and they have gotten better. My latest visit with a cousin and her SO over the Christmas we enjoyed several nice beers, and the Thursday dinner special which is house smoked salmon. The beers I had were their Tigers Claw Porter, a classic english style porter in the vain of Fullers London Porter, as well as a specially brewed beer the Brownback Wheat beer, a dark wheat beer. It has a malty backbone with a hoppier profile than one would expect out of a German dunkel. The salmon was quite flavorful, and came with rice pilaf and one side, as well as a house salad. After dinner we decided to retire to the bar and try out Grandma's Whiskey Stout, and imperial Stout aged in a Stranahan Whiskey Barrel. It was a nice strong stout, and had a nice whiskey overtone,. The bar is a nice area to relax, service is good, but it is a bit noisy. To finish off the evening we took home a growler of Tiger Claw IPA. It is a typical IPA with a great citrusy hoppy aroma, and a good hoppy flavor as well. Not as much malt backbone as say a Victory HopDevil but nonetheless a good representation of the style. In a town like Topeka, where there are a proliferation of chain restaurants, the Blind TIger is an important part of the community that I hope will continue to thrive for years to come.

Good food and service, but really outstanding beer. (I recommend the Heather Ale in particular.) Nice atmosphere, if a little on the noisy side when we were there. I'm not in Topeka often, but when I am, I suspect I won't bother looking for anywhere else to eat. Well done!

Ordered takeout from this place on our way through town. Food was pretty good - we tried the Caesar Salad and the Buffalo Burger. The burger could have used a little more sauce because it was a little dry but it was otherwise tasty. Prices were very reasonable. The Porter beer was amazing. I wish I could have tried the rest.

We were in Topeka for the first time and were pleased to find this brewery. Great food, excellent beers, awesome service from Leah...it was our best dining experience in Topeka! They have an IPA called Top Gun that is one of the best my husband and I have had. Their Jalapeño poppers are incredible, along with their BBQ. I can't say one bad thing about this place!

Had to wait a bit for a table on a Thursday night, which was surprising. A decent brewery restaurant with the typical beers and grub. The place seemed to have tons of large groups, so service was a bit slower. It was ok though, and I'd go back.

I gave BT 2 stars, if it was strictly based on their beer it would be higher, but it is a restaurant so food must be considered. My boyfriend and I have tried many different items throughout their menu, it is never great or really even good to be honest, mediocre at best, except for one item, the Tiger Paws and paw sauce. They are the only thing we ever order on the menu now other than beer because when we do splurge off of our healthy eating plan, it is not going to be wasted on pps food.

I was staying overnight in Topeka, so upon looking for a good restaurant, I was pointed to the Blind Tiger. The Blind Tiger has a nice selection of microbrews as well as a varied food menu. Therefore, I decided to have both a beer and some BBQ. They have a good raspberry wheat beer, and I also tried their Holy Grail Pale Ale. As for the BBQ, it was tasty, and I had their beef brisket. Service was prompt and the server made me feel welcome.

I have visited 4 times for lunch. The Reuben ($8.49) is outstanding. The Kansan($9.99) is a bison burger that you have to try in order to properly appreciate it. And the pulled pork sandwich ($8.99) is worth a try also. My Topeka-based coworker always orders the Prime Rib sandwich which, at $8.99 is outstanding based on his testimony. The seasoned fries that accompany many of their offerings are crispy and flavorful. I would love to try their home brews on an upcoming visit - but to do that I'll have to spend the night.

I frequent Blind Tiger and have had very good experiences under the current ownership. Good BBQ and love especially the burnt ends and sausage. Love the chicken strips...real chicken with great beer batter. As an appetizer try the super healthy fries with cheese and bacon. It has a huge cup of ranch that makes it irresistible. I have been happy with everything I have ordered and service is usually good. The brewery is very good as well! Buffalo chicken has good flavor but hard to eat as it is several strips on a bun and they fall off. Overall very positive experience. Give it a try!

Appetizers were good - hummus and bread served with carrot and cucumber slices. Spinach and artichoke dip - but the addition of bacon bits did not add anything. Humongous stuffed mushrooms. Attended a dinner/seminar there on 4.19.12. Had what was supposed to be cajun tilapia but no cajun seasoning. Fish was cooked ok but only enhancement available was a quarter of lemon. Dessert offered was cheesecake, no toppings. Was a good product.

Blind Tiger saved my birthday dinner by taking a last minute reservation for 20 and doing so happily [see review of Brick Oven for why this impressed me.] Everything else everyone has said about this place is true. The food is good but not mind blowing and their microbrews are excellent in flavor and price. You can not feed a vegan here but a vegetarian might live through it. The building is incredibly unique and there service has always been excellent. You can eat here three times in three different areas and never feel like you're in the same restaurant minus the great beer and great service.

YES. There was a reason this place kept coming up when I was searching for places to go between a wedding and a reception in Topeka. My friends don't all "trust the Yelp" yet, but this place was immediately recommended by the front desk of the hotel as well. Don't get distracted by the Wild Horse on the way there -- keep your eye on the prize. You can smell the delicious in the air as soon as you get to the parking lot. Smokey, delicious BBQ smell in the air. Our server handled our sixteen person group well -- but we all had to laugh at his tone when he said "well, the raspberry wheat beer is 3.25 -- but everything else is only 2.75!" Right, like we're going to complain about 3.25 for a beer (are you listening, San Francisco? You can server non-PBR for less than five bucks). I got 2 beers (American wheat beer, which is very different from Belgian wheat beer and I'd recommend trying -- hardly any after taste, but looks like a regular hefeweizen & the "pricey" raspberry wheat beer), a brisket platter with fries, and the total WITH gratuity came to eighteen dollars. This was a win across the board, we were all extremely satisfied with this choice. Knowing virtually nothing about Topeka, I will go as far as to say this is the best microbrewery in Topeka.

The Blind Tiger Brewery & Restaurant was a great place to kill a few hours between a wedding and a reception in Topeka. We managed to pack 16 people in without a problem or a complaint from anyone. The staff was incredibly accommodating. The food was pretty good as well. The "Carolina-style" Pulled Pork Sandwich was great! I don't remember what my fiancee ordered, but she ended up with a towering pile of meat on a plate. I was proud. I had two beers. A pale ale and a wheat beer. Both were great. They also had a raspberry wheat beer that I tasted and would highly recommend. Also, the beer was wicked cheap. The expensive beer was $3.25. Who can say no to that. I don't live in Topeka and may never end up there again, but if I do, you will find me in the Blind Tiger.

I'm not a beer drinker but my bf loves their beer. For $8 you can take home a large jug of beer, called a Growler. This place is huge. I didn't think their food was that great.

This place brings to me so many pleasant memories. Blind Tiger is one of those rare resturants in a city the size of Topeka. Hard to believe, but this was the first place I ever had a beer that I liked. The raspberry beer variety ehre to tally destroy's the one located @ 75th St brewery in KCMO. Years later I have caught on to beer, but for me it all started in this palce. I also to this day remember sinking my teeth into some of the best chicken strips I have ever had. I can also say they are hands-down the best chicken strips I have had at any bar, that's totally 100% true right there. Last time I went, we had a huge group of about 60+. Absolutely everyone had a great time. I highly reccomend this place as it is one of the few places in Topeka that can make your mouth water.

I never thought I'd find myself in Topeka, Kansas, and yet there we were on a weekend in May for a wedding. The ceremony ended in the afternoon and the reception didn't start until after dinner time, so we had several hours to kill. My fiance and his fraternity brothers briefly considered spending the entire break drinking beer in a hotel room watching Super Troopers, but their stomachs got the better of them and we chose to explore the culinary possibilities. Knowing that catered wedding food tends to be a bit of a letdown, we didn't mind gorging ourselves on copious amounts of Kansas City Barbeque beforehand. Interestingly enough, Yelp led us to the Blind Tiger. After asking our concierge for directions, he wholeheartedly recommended them as the best food in the city. We began to get excited to try this place. Soon, rented minivans full of young twentysomethings in wedding attire rolled up at the Blind Tiger parking lot. We must have looked ridiculous, in our dresses and suits and ties. But as soon as we piled out our vehicles like so many clowns in little clown cars, our nostrils picked up the most incredible scent known to man: pulled pork. LOTS OF PULLED PORK. Pulled pork for days, as far as the nose could smell. The waiters seated our huge and rapidly expanding group with ease. They were courteous and incredible at remembering everyone's drink orders throughout the meal. The group ordered beers, most of which were $2.50, except for the Raspberry Wheat Beer, which (the waiter apologized for) was a whopping $3.25. I ordered a sampler platter of various cuts of pork in their famous dry rub seasoning. What didn't expect was a plate as large as several of my heads, full to the brim with dark, delicious pieces of smokey perfection. I did my best, but about 3/4 of the way through, had to admit defeat for the sake of remaining upright at the wedding reception. I wish I could have taken it with me somehow to the hotel, to savor surreptitiously in the wee hours of the morning. If someday, a tornado sweeps me away to Kansas, you'll find me back at this establishment, gorging myself, unladylike, on all manner of barbecue.

This place is really neat. It doesn't look that big from the outside but inside it is pretty huge. I was only here to meet some co-workers for drinks and had one of their beers and thought it tasted great. I had a sip of another variety of beer and enjoyed that too. The waitress was super friendly and very patient with us even though our group was close to 30 people. Will visit this place again to try some of their food.

Great brew pub. Fantastic beer and above average restaurant. Great service too from Irene. I wish we had a brew pub this good in Seattle. We drank Roggen and Porter and tasted the Granola Girl organic ale and raw wheat -- none disappointed in any way. The smoked meats are delicious and stuffed mushrooms unusually good. I highly recommend this place. Locals - you don't know how lucky you are.

I was in Topeka for work this week, and decided to make a point to go to the brewery this time around and I definitely wasn't disappointed! The building seems to have a lot of character (and according to their website, has 8 different levels!) and the staff is extremely friendly. We ordered some beer and appetizers to get started. I thought their Oktoberfest was a little on the bland side, but still not bad. My two buddies blew through several different beers and I didn't hear a complaint about a single one. (Blind Tiger also won a Gold Medal at Denver's Great American Beer Festival for one of their wheats.) I highly recommend their fried pickles - they're more like planks instead of spears or chips and they are ridiculously good AND cheap! Barbecue? Can't go wrong. By the end of the night, I had to waddle back to the car because I was so stuffed. The only reason they lose a star is because they still allow smoking! I don't remember them asking a smoking preference when we walked in and it wasn't extremely overwhelming, but still enough to annoy my nose. But it's not gonna stop me from going back in a few weeks when I'm in town again!

Stopped by for lunch today. Unfortunately I was unable to taste the local brews as I had to go back to work after lunch. They did have a fairly decent menu that including a nice selection of BBQ's meats, steaks, salads, sandwhiches, and the usual pub types foods. There are 9 different beers that they brew onsite. You can get little samplers of each beer for $1 a piece. Their beers range from the light pale ales, to the amber wheat ales, to the darker stout beers. They have a huge balcony/patio for anyone that wants to sit outside. To get to the restaurant you have to walk up some stairs, but the smell of the BBQ was good enough to keep your mind from cursing while you are walking up the stairs. I ended up going with the Chicken fried steak with the Garlic Mashed Potatoes and the BBQ baked beans. They had the half order and the full order, I asked the waitress how big the full order was, she used her hands to display a square about the size of a piece of sliced bread. When I got the steak, it was almost twice that size, in fact it covered more than 3/4's of my plate. It was nicely seasoned and smothered in a tasty white gravy. The Honey BBQ baked beans were the best part of the meal. The BBQ sause was so sweet and delicously It could have been a dessert. The beans had pieces of BBQ'd meat in them that added a nice touch to the dish. Overall, this was a great place to eat at. The food was great, the service was wonderful, and the price of lunch including a soda, tax and tip came in under $15. I will definitely be back again to try some of the other items on the menu.

Great beer and decent food, though I've found it to be a bit inconsistent in the past. This place takes forever over lunch. Be ready with your card when they bring your food if you're in a hurry. If you have exactly an hour for lunch, you should probably head elsewhere.

One of the best that Topeka has to offer. Everything else in town seems to be a dive or a chain restaurant. The local brews are surprisingly alright though seem to be inspired by mainstream domestics. It makes sense given the demographics of the place. I sampled a few of them and generally liked them. I suspect that you will as well. I also sampled the BBQ and it was respectable. This is a local favorite, so expect to see a bunch of the town's good 'ol boys hangdogging at the bar and wondering who the hell you are if you haven't lived in town for the last 20 years.

The selection is pretty much standard restaurant food (although it tastes good) but the real attraction is the beer. It's a great treat for anyone in the mood to try something new (which you can do frequently with their seasonal brews). My only complaint is that it closes down sort of early, but beyond that it's a great Topeka establishment to check out.

I am not a Topekan, and probably will never return to Topeka, but I am glad that I found this brewery! I don't usually part take in deep fried food heaven, but as someone who is a vegetarian it is hard to find a place with deep fried vegetarian food, and this place did offer one item. The eggplant fillet. It was deep fried with pesto fried into it with a ricotta feta cheese sauce on top. Pretty good, but then I don't eat fried food that often. The seasoned fries were excellent as well, but who am I to judge because I don't usually eat this type of food. My comrade had the South Carolina Pulled pork sandwich, and the Blind Tiger Amber ale, which he proclaimed as excellent. Hmmmm fried Barbecue heaven.

My husband and I sought out this place, based on the reviews, when staying in Topeka for a night. The beer was good and service was great, but the food was seriously mediocre. We split fried pickles, which were good, but how bad can a fried pickle be? We also had salads, which were mostly iceberg lettuce and a couple token grape tomatoes. Our server recommended the Cajun pasta but we both found it to be too heavily sauced and sticky, without a lot of flavor. Maybe other menu items are better, but we will try somewhere different next time.

I'm from KC, and whenever I visit Topeka, I usually stop by this place and pick up a growler of something special. I've always found that whenever an establishment puts so much effort, care and love into brewing beer, that translates to good food as well. I've drank here more than I've dined, but the dishes I've had are perfectly acceptable for the price from a place like this in Topeka. As with most casual dining places in Top. City, the service is a little lacking. I don't know what's up with these Capitol city kids.

living in Kansas City and working occasionally in Topeka I am always looking for good BBQ . After finding none in this town some people told me blind Tiger is where it is at. WRONG! Well Maybe this is good BBQ in Topeka But is low grade dog food in my town. That is not brisket it is roast beef. Where was the smoke ring? Where is the elasticity in the meat befor it breaks? This stuff is cooked in a oven not a smoker. If you know good BBQ just stay away from it in Topeka

This place will give any Georgia smokehouse a run for it's money. Carolina pulled pork sandwich was excellent. Now I will say they did not use S. Carolina mustard base sauce, would be nice to have the option. The brew was also very good. I am looking forward to a return visit. The decor is a bit to be desired hence 4 stars.

This truly is one of Topeka's best restaurants and has been voted as such in the Best of Topeka. This restaurant has been under a few different owners, but the current owner, Jay Ives is doing it better than anyone yet. The Blind Tiger offers a great selection of hand crafted beers ranging from Raw Wheat to Tiger Paw Porter. They also offer a Maibock that is 6.3% alcohol and has won awards in both 2006 and 2007 according to signs posted in the bar area. As for the food, they have some of the best barbecue in town. A favorite of mine during the weekday (excluding Friday) 4 pm-6 pm 1/2 price appetizers is the Rib Tips. They are smoked to perfection and are tender and juicy. My favorite entree is the Cajun Chicken Pasta and it is reasonably priced at $7.99 for a "small" portion that has always been large enough to fill me up. Overall, I highly recommend the Blind Tiger to anyone who hasn't been there or has tried it under previous owners and didn't care for it. Try it again it is outstanding.

Decent beer (I had an oatmeal stout), but didn't knock my socks off. Same with the steak I had - enjoyable, but not standout. My companion had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was excellent, but my experience was basically middling. Excellent service, however.

Great food but I seem to usually go there when they run out of a certain side that I would like to try. Not a beer drinker so can't say much there but friends I do go there with love the beer.

This place really kicked ass. Top notch service, fresh tasty beers with a GREAT selection. And I try to steer clear of fried foods generally but was convinced to give the chicken strips a try and I am glad I did... probably the best chicken strips west of the Mississippi. The menu is a mixture of barbeque, inventive burgers and more traditional pub fare. If anywhere near Topeka (pretty close to Kansas City) you'll be damn glad you gave this place a try.

The beer is good, the service is ok, the food is terrible. Don't have the buffalo burger, it is almost always dried out.

The beer here is outstanding award winning. The attention to detail with the beer is second to none. You don't win the awards that they do without this passion for beer. My complaint is the restaurant side of the place. The service is very slow as they understaff for shifts and give servers too many tables to adequatly service them. The food is marginal at best. The BBQ here is very subpar, being in ks so close to the US capital of bbq in KC and 4 of the best in the world (Arthur Bryants, Gates, Jack Stack, and my fav and Chef Anthony Bordains Oklahoma Joes!) one would expect more! Most of the food lacks the passion and attention to detail that the brewing side has. Dishes are bland tasting and very dull looking. Most dishes have an overcooked appearance and taste. The colors don't pop on the plates, veggies are mushy and dull. Plates appear hastily assembled like food is thrown/smeared/splashed/slopped on plates and in bowls. There is no "love" as it pertains to the food here like the beer. If you are a self described "foody" that loves flavors, textures, and tastes then get the beer to go. The owners claim that they want to be the best brewpub restaurant in the world! How about you try to be the best in Kansas first! Hey you're the best in topeka, simply because there isn't another Brewpub here. The lack of competition breeds complacency. Take the trip to Hays and visit Gellas Diner/LB brewery, goto Freestate in Lawrence, visit McCoys in KC then compare. They have something Blindtiger lacks, trained Chefs that create menus and supervise the Kitchen, and vision. When you surround yourself with "yes" men you can never be wrong and you will never be challenged.
