In last night for half-price shakes. They were SLAMMED. Most of the stalls had cars in them, the patio was full of people sitting and standing. But you know what, my order was out to me in a reasonable amount of time and it was accurate. And you know what else? The car-hops were hustling. They were actually jogging back into the kitchen to fetch the next order. Jogging and smiling and polite. Well done folks, well done.

This is my "normal location". I come here a lot. It's fine. They seem less friendly lately, but other than that, you get normal Sonic stuff here.

This Sonic is wonderful! The food is like any other Sonic, but the sevice is amazing! Fast and friendly ever time. I usually just get a drink. When I go to other Sonics in the KC metro area, I always feel like I wait forever for my order, but that is because this Sonic has spoiled me for so many years!

As far as Sonic goes this one is pretty good. Sometimes they are slow. The food is always right and the drinks are cheap. Love all the new hot dogs. This one can kind of be hard to get in and out of depending on the time of day you go. It is located right next to the grocery store and a gas station so there is a lot of traffic.

I don't eat cheese burgers, so this may not be very fair. I arrived in Merriam a bit early, and found this Sonic's. I thought, why not, I'll get a cherry limeade. I ordered from my car. I noticed the staff that weren't as clean cut as the staff at the Sonic's in Independence, but whatever. So, I ordered. And waited. And waited. And waited. And as I waited, I watched other people, as they waited. And waited. There were people outside at the tables, and cars on the other side of the drive-in. But, not many servers were serving food. I watched them, and they were talking, with the food sacks in their hands. Yuck, does that mean that the people waiting for their food, received cold food? My cherry limeade finally came to me,and I paid, and drank it there. I deposited my trash in their reciprocal. I watched the staff. Wow, and the staff without Sonic's of anything on their clothing, continued their slow service. I'll not be stopping at this Sonic's again.

I have to agree with Rhonda at least on the slowness. Many times I've went to this location early morning, when their hours state they're opened, but nobody answered the drive-thru. People appeared to be inside, most of the time I was just going to order a ice cream coffee beverage or soda, so the person working wouldn't have even had to cook! Anyway, there's a guy who has a lot of tattoos who works there and he seems nice whenever I'm there. I've never had a problem getting service in the afternoons or evenings, though, it's just irritating not to be able to soothe an upset stomach with a Sprite Zero in the early mornings.

This isn't a bad review because of something this particular place did wrong , it's a bad review of something Sonic's whole company did wrong with a product they are advertising heavily now. I got their new Baja hot dog and was very unimpressed with it mainly because the bread on it was much much bigger than the size of the hot dog. There was probably three times more bread than would be optimal for the size of this dog. It was awful. Don't buy their new line of hot dogs that they advertise for $1.99, unless you like bread that is.
