We really like going to eat at Planet Sub...especially for the price. They only serve Whole Wheat bread that they bake daily. The sandwiches usually come out very quickly. After you buy nine 6" subs, your tenth sub is free. However, we did have one visit where the sandwiches for half our group didn't come out for 20 minutes. I approached the counter, they quickly rectified the situation and gave me 3 free sandwich coupons! Frugal Total for Two: Planet BBQ 6" sub for $3.99 (12" only $6.99 !) Yello 6" sub $4.49 2 Chips @ $1.19 each ~$11.50 after tax

Some nice variety of sandwiches. I like their style over there.

YES! I wasn't a sub person until I came here, but they changed my mind! The Crab Californian (Surimi crab, cream cheese, sprouts, tomatoes, salsa & guac) is the best sub they have! The bread is out of this world! They aren't your typical sub shop, they have some uniquely wonderful subs, served both hot and cold, plus salads, wraps, and sides. Tons of vegetarian & vegan options. They even serve breakfast! You will not be disappointed!

I really like these toasted subs. The Tuesday special (6" turkey for $2.99) is a very good deal. There's plenty of seating, free wi-fi, and a new Coke freestyle machine.

Delish bread! Hubs got the BBQ tempeh sandwich and I had the portobello one. His was a solid 5 mine was a 4 but still very good. We'll be back!

Love the planet sub. It's great. Same as the old yellow sub. Bread is always fresh and the playing card for your order is a unique way of picking up your sub. Please bring back the old chip selection.

Absolutely love their selection of vegetarian sandwiches. My favorite is the Pesto Bello - lots of cheese, portobello mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes and pesto sauce - it is delish. Everyday of the week they do have a special too. Their chocolate chip cookie is great too. Additionally, I love how they had out a playing card as your order reference. It is pretty fun :)

For subs in KC, Planet Sub has the tastiest and freshest variety of styles for toasted sub sandwiches. I am a big fan of the Green Turkey and I rarely venture outside of that option due to my total happiness factor with the sandwich. The portions are perfect, the ingredients always seem fresh and the only complaint I have is the CRAPPY SERVICE you can expect in every location; EVERY LOCATION! This place would go off the charts if it were not for their CRAPPY SERVICE but hey, when the food is always on par, I can act as if I have dog crap on my face and struggle through the always CRAPPY ATTITUDES. Seriously, I cannot recall a time within the existence of the franchise where I walked in and was greeted by a happy person that acted as if they actually wanted to be there. It's always as if someone just died in the back and the paramedics are back there working on some stoned kid. Awesome sub; CRAPPY SERVICE!

Great subs, great family atmosphere, and good pricing. Definitely recommend for a sandwich place.

I give Planet Sub for being much better than Subway, Mr. Goodcents, etc. They make a tasty sub. More flavor, more choices, good prices. However, the stoner staff has problems with numbers, symbols, colors.. all things necessary to deliver your food when they use playing cards to determine your order. I can't count the number of times I've had to remind the "wake-n-bake" that yes, I do have the 3 of clubs, and yes, that is my sandwich. Rant over, commence stuffing face with tasty sub.

These days, you can hardly shake a stick in Kansas City without hitting a Planet Sub. And that's a good thing. If you're a KU grad, you know Planet Sub is the sandwich child of Yellow Sub in Lawrence. If you're unacquainted with the mother ship, I can honestly say junior inherited the deliciousness DNA that made sandwiches like the Green Turkeyâ„¢ and Dagwood's Dream almost as popular in Lawrence as KU Basketball. With its toasty goodness, weird-but-wonderful fillings, and reasonable prices, Planet Sub torpedoes the chain stores that pass themselves off as sub shops. If you go there with a date, take a vow not to laugh at each other while you eat, because depending on your sub of choice, you might end up with a little guacamole on your fingers or a ring of marinara around your mouth. Who cares? Food this good is made to be enjoyed, and Planet Sub always has napkins.

Ahhh... Yello Sub, errr... I mean Planet Sub, always takes me back to those good ol' college days. On Friday nights, we would head over to the plasma donation center for a free movie and then take our hard won earnings to Yello Sub. My Friday nights are a little different now but Planet Sub is every bit as good. The five star rating is because these are reliably the best subs I have ever had in my life. Note that there are 11 vegetarian subs, although they all depend on cheese for their deliciousness. Vegans can ask them to make a sub vegan and they will at least know what you are talking about. Go to planetsub.com for a $1 off coupon or to fax your order. Note that there are 5 local KS locations, 6 local MO locations, and stores in 5 states.

Me and the other napkin pirates decided to go out to eat again. We had a hankering for sub sandwiches so we went to Planet Sub. This is by far the greatest sub sandwiches I have ever had. This opinion was mutal between the other napkin pirates as they loved their meals. I would recommend this selection to anyone who loves fresh baked bread and hot subs. We have found another napkin pirates favorite!

One of the best local sandwich places in KC, definitely better than pretty much every other chain place out there. They're pretty much everywhere now, and with their fantastic toasted subs that's a great thing. Whenever I'm on the go and need something yummy for lunch, PSub is one of my top choices. Can't recommend enough!!
