I ended up with two donuts from here, both rather basic (which is how I like them) - a plain cake, and a glazed chocolate cake. The price for both was $1.80 with tax, which I thought was quite a low price. The plain cake, which is a go to for me to judge a new donut place, was okay. It was a bit dry, and didn't have a ton of flavor. What flavor it did have, though, was good. The glazed chocolate cake was quite good - moist, rich, flavorful. I would return, but would not seek it out. I still think Lamar's is a much better donut in general, but this is good depending on what you get.

The lady was super nice and friendly. Which explains the 2 stars, not one. The donuts? Not so much. The old fashioned was really good. But I walked in and saw a giant apple fritter. The thing was literally the size of my head. Curious, I asked if it had apples in it. "Yes, a lot" she said. Took a fist size piece out of it. No Apple. Picked the rest apart. Found one piece of apple the size of a finger nail. Also bought the German chocolate cake donut. It was super yuck. Tons of low quality frosting. Cake or donut part had no flavor at all. The old fashioned was good. I think they do a ton of biz cause of the DMV is right there but I wouldn't make a trip for this donut. I ate the old fashioned and threw the rest in the trash at the DMV.

Fairly solid donut showing, probably made slightly better by the fact that I had just had a decent time at the DMV. Shared the apple fritter and the filed long john (with the whipped cream inside) with my dear and loved every bite. The girl behind the counter was pleasant enough given the 8am hour on the clock. Price wasn't too bad either.

If the DMV wasn't right next door, this business would end quickly. The coffee was terrible. The donut, an old fashioned, wasn't great. If you need to kill time or are in need of a sugar rush, then drop on in. At least the staff are nice enough.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! This morning, my kiddos requested donuts for breakfast...so my husband I decided a trip to KC Donut Company, the Ridgeview location, was in order. We expected good donuts and friendly service, not to be met at the door with an un air-conditioned store and a snitty, hostile girl working the counter. We asked questions, she nodded or shook her head. We tried to make friendly conversation while we made our choices, she pretty much just stared us down. I've never been so uncomfortable at a place of business--ever. The only reason we didn't walk out was because it was getting late, kiddos were hungry, and Ihad a plane to catch. When our choices were made, and the girl shoved our donuts in the box, she rung us up. Husband handed her the debit card, which she ran and promptly slammed down on top of the donut box. My husband said, "Okay," and took a deep breath, I could tell he'd had enough. So, Ms. Snit says, "Sir, I'm not being hostile towards you, I'm hostile towards the heat. The air conditioner is broken and my manager won't get it fixed." Angry spouse says. "Well, you don't need to take it out on your customers when you're angry at your manager." Snit says, "I'm sorry, sir." Spouse says, " You know, you're manager will think again about not fixing the AC when customers call to complain about your behavior, which is absolutely unacceptable." We walk out. Oh yes, the manager will hear from us. And I have to say, the donuts weren't even that great! I can tell you that I will never go again to any of the stores...all because of a little snit who was pissed at her manager.
