Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

I dont really like pizza, but pizza shuttle is my favorite one in Manhattan. I always make my own pizza with chicken, beef, sausage, pineapple, green pepper, mushroom. I think pizza shuttle is the best pizza in Manhattan, it's really good price. AND! Chicken wings here are great! I love it! Just one thing, there are 8 wings per box, (7 or 8 wings per box, I can't remember it exactly), it's like 1 dollar per chicken wing, it's kind of expensive compared to Bufflo Wild Wings. But it's still my favorite!

It was August 2006, I was far away from my home in Omaha, NE. I was making new friends, living the dorm life, and attending house parties. This my friends, is when the majestic Pizza Shuttle forever changed my life. Pizza Shuttle came highly recommended from the R.A. on my floor, she raved about the cream cheese pizza. I will admit, I was a bit skeptical but she was older and 'wiser' so who was I to question her choices in pizza? So one night after a few too many beverages, several friends and I decided to give this place a shot. After completing the 'pizza shuttle drop' (another tip from the R.A.) I dug into this ooey gooey pizza, it was love at first bite! The combo of pizza sauce and cream cheese is delicious! I love this place for many reasons. The first being their cream cheese pizza, I'm telling you one bite and you will be hooked. Their reasonable prices are another reason, where else can you get a large pizza, cinnastix, and a 2L for under $15?!! Third being their super fast late night delivery, you want a pepperoni pizza after you get home from the bar? You got it! I no longer live in the Little Apple, but I visit every chance I get. I have introduced many of my friends and my now fiancé to this place, they continue to rave about it. If you're visiting the college town of Manhattan, KS you must stop by!

Quick. Cheap. Not greasy. Great customer service. Lots of variety -- sauces/toppings. 10in 2 topping carry out for $9.40! Can't beat that.

OMG! The best frigginn' pizza around. When we visit my daughter, we pick up Shuttle Pizza to take home...in Kansas City! Haven't had a bad, or even "just ok", pizza. ALL the pizzas are excellent!!

I ordered the Super Meal Deal and got an amazing cheese pepperoni onion and mushroom 14 inch pizza. It came with a 12 inch cheese bread and 2 liter soda. All for $16. It was delivered fast and hot in less than 30 minutes. I will order from them again and again

Allow me to bring these reviews down to earth. While good, this is typical college town pizza. Generic, but passable. The biggest selling point for me was the delivery option and the hours of operation.

Pizza Shuttle is a permanent staple in Manhattan KS and oh so good! Having ordered from pizza shuttle for over 15 years they never seem to disappoint. From the moment i tried the Karen's BTO Pizza I was instantly hooked. They have great specials, fast delivery and friendly employees. What more could you ask for? They are open late, and offer a variety of specialty pizzas to fill any craving.

This is a good place for college students looking to eat low to average quality pizza cheap. However, I wish they wouldn't keep having commercials that are both corny and degrading to women. Their latest gems have featured "sexy" girls in trashy fake cop costumes. FYI Pizza Shuttle, it's generally not a good idea to exclude half of your market with your advertising.

During one of my first visits to Manhattan, my husband showed me the deliciousness that is Pizza Shuttle and what he has deemed the Pizza Shuttle "drop"! Basically, when we get our pizza, we throw it down on the ground upside down. This splatters the grease all over the top of the box and makes the pizza less greasy...plus it's fun! Our usual order is a cream cheese and bacon pizza. It's a mind-blowing combination, give it a try. Very unhealthy, but that's what makes it so great! It's a treat whenever I get to have it!

Good pizza for the best price in town. Perfectly located next to the dorms. Don't even want to think about how many times I picked up a pizza from here when I was in college.

I always thought Cream Cheese was only good on a bagel......... THIS WAS EXCEPTIONAL!

I should be in the gym for years eating as much of this stuff as I did! I have 3 words for you...CREAM CHEESE PIZZA! When my friends ordered this I was thinking..."eww, cream cheese pizza?" Not only does that sound like a heart attack waiting to happen, but it just didn't sound too appetizing. But I was definitely wrong. By far the best drunchie pizza I've ever had! I also love that this place isn't like typical chain pizza places and has different toppings (cream cheese?) from pizza hut, dominoes, gambinos, etc. They also do pretty quick delivery service and they're super cheap!

Over the last umpteen years I've ordered from this place at minimum 100 times. In fact I just placed an order 2 minutes ago and one last night. It doesn't get much better than this. Fast, Friendly, Cheap, and good! From a customer service standpoint they do well and their delivery drivers and phone operators are always friendly. This place is open until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays and 1am throughout the rest of the week I believe which makes it the go to pizza place for those of us that stay up late. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a good quality pizza place.

Extremely fast and helpful service. Pizza ordered and ready in 10. Prices are cheap and taste great.

This little pizza place is almost like a cult favorite for students. The only thing I was a big fan of here was the cheese bread. It is cheap and it is good. It is certainly not healthy, but it is good. I only dinned in a few times, but ordered delivery many times from here in college.

I've been ordering from Shuttle about twice a month for almost the whole 22 years I've lived in Manhattan. The pizza hasn't changed at all, it's greasy but very good. The Karen's BTO is phenomenal, though I usually get pepperoni and pineapple. The delivery has been stellar for the last decade (About 12 years ago we had pizza delivered 1 1/2 hours late, and when we complained someone who claimed he was a manager cursed me out and "banned" us from ever ordering again. A couple years later when we called to give them a second chance, we asked for a manager first. He had me listen in while someone, maybe the same guy who cursed at me, told a crazy story that didn't make sense. The manager laughed at him, apologized to me, and we've been regulars ever since. So sometimes, customer service can be pretty dicey, but they also fixed the situation so I can't really complain.) The pizza crust is somewhere just short of thick, maybe closest to "hand tossed." The toppings are always good, and on top of most of the cheese. The breadsticks are regular dough cut into sticks, with a salty spice mixture on top that is incredible. The cheesesticks are even better. Other than one REALLY bad experience, we have loved this place over 2 decades. Give it a shot!

Assuming nothing (or little) has changed in the 7 years since my college graduation, Pizza Shuttle is perfect in its price appeal for college students. With a catchy jingle (it's been 7 years, but "Dial 776-5577" is not something that is easily forgotten) and a location close to campus, Shuttle knows its niche. At last check a medium order of the cheese sticks was around $3 and the perfect late night post-bar munchy. While that's definitely the favorite at Shuttle, on a rare post-college visit (when having a job means pizza is affordable and cheese sticks are the max you can afford after a night out drinking) we had a basic hamburger pizza and it was rather tasty as well, but the cheese sticks are definitely the go-to item on the menu.

I loved Pizza Shuttle when I was an undergrad at KSU in the late 90s. When I returned to Manhattan to work at the university, I wondered if it would still be as good (or if it was just the cheapness that made it delicious in college.) Well, it's still cheap, and is my favorite pizza in town! I love the crust (chewy), the sauce, and the amount & quality of toppings used. I love Pizza Shuttle! Try my favorite: jalepeno and pineapple.
