I cannot praise Aly at Bocker's enough. She walked us through every step of the catering for our wedding, and even took care of a lot of the details on the day of that we didn't want to be bothered with. The food was above and beyond our expectations, and we got numerous compliments from people on it throughout the evening. If you're looking at having your wedding/party catered in Manhattan, I can't recommend Bocker's (and Aly) enough.

I am a frequent traveler, and have also stayed at numerous B&B's. This is one of the best places you will ever stay. Laurie and Bill know the meaning of hospitality, and what it takes to make a wonderful inn. Fantastic would be an understatement for the both the breakfasts, as well as the overall experience. As far as I'm concerned, it is the only place to stay in Manhattan. Truly a wonderful experience every time I visit. Accommodations: ***** Cleanliness: ***** Service: ***** Value: ***** Food: ***** Tip: Laurie's French toast is to die for!

Chick-fil-A

Reviews:
So I've always been told how amazing Chick-fil-a is but had never actually stopped to try it myself. I passed this one on my way home from work and decided to give it a shot. After placing my order I pulled up to the window and in passing mentioned it was my first time eating at chick-fil-a. They comped my order and gave me a gift card for my next visit! Now I have never given a fast food restaurant a five star rating and most likely never will again, but the service and genuine respect I was shown blew me away! And also the food was amazing! Chick-fil-a just got a new life long customer
There are no complaints here! Living in Vegas the past 7 years, we had no Chick-fil-A. I grew up with it in Texas but of course once it is not available, it becomes a luxury and a special craving. I knew there was a CFA in the KSU Union, but tried it out a few weeks ago and found its pre-made food a little disappointing. The selections were limited. I found out CFA was opening today and was so excited. I saw all of the people camping out yesterday in the parking lot. I knew I wanted to go on opening day so I waited until 1 PM to grab lunch. There were so many people working on day 1 and I had no wait to order. I got the spicy chicken sandwich meal and sat down with a number - not sure if this will be a regular occurrence but food was delivered to my table. Because the restaurant was packed, I shared a booth with some other people. My meal came out lightening fast! It was hot and fresh and juicy. I really enjoyed the sandwich and waffle fries. Staff came around offering to refill our drinks, which was so nice. I met the owner on the way out. I was given a gift card for free breakfast so I will be back very soon. This is a great addition to MHK, Free wifi!
BLUF: Best customer service ever! Drive thru gets extremely crowded during peak hours. Fast food done right. There was a Chick Fil A on my campus in Houston and that is where my addiction to CFA began. CFA's are usually hit or miss in the customer friendliness department in Texas but they are definitely on it here in Manhattan. Every single worker is extremely polite, which is nice for a "fast food" restaurant. It is nice to know that all the employees actually value the customer. We came here Saturday morning for breakfast and the drive thru line was crazy. But keep in mind, they do have 2 lines. I tried coming here for lunch last week and there was atleast 35 cars waiting in the drive thru. The inside was not crowded at all - walked right up and placed our order. The food came out quick and delicious as always. The chicken here is so gooood. Don't know how they do it or why others can't imitate it. My fiance got the breakfast burrito and I have to say, it looked and tasted like something you would have paid much more for at a sit-down establishment. I was very impressed. I also love the sweet tea here - the best you can get any where IMO. This is definitely the place to go if you're wanting quality fast food and tier 1 service. Keep in mind, if the drive thru line is long... just park and go inside, it'll be much quicker. Looks like i'll be driving across town more often!

Arrow Coffee Company

1800 Claflin Rd,Ste 160
Manhattan, 66502
Reviews:
I highly recommend Arrow! Best coffee in Manhattan! The owner is very knowledgeable on coffee as well as very friendly and willing to help. The pour overs are always great, and my personal favorite here is a cortado. Their coffee is roasted by a roaster in Denver called Corvus, which does a great job with all their roasts. I'm in here several times a week for coffee and to do homework or just hang out. I always pick up my beans here; which are rarely more than a week past their roast date. They also offer a small selection of food and pastries. They stock delicious, high quality chocolate bars as well.
I went here once in the summer just because it was close by, and I'm so glad I did. First of all, the coffee is amazing. You can get an espresso and just sip it. They brew coffee without that bitterness that makes milk necessary at all those other places. You just want to savor it as much as you can, it's that good. It's coffee that makes you stop after the first sip and go "That's really good coffee!" Second of all, I really like the people who run the place. It's local, they're local, and they are very knowledgable and nice. I learned more about coffee in 5 minutes of eavesdropping than I thought possible. Their beans are never more than 14 days old, and they don't like relying on "blonde, medium, dark" roast descriptions because there's more complexity than that. Ok maybe I didn't learn a huge amount, but I found it all very interesting and encouraging. Third (and probably most important): THEY HAVE BOOZE AND AN AMAZING HAPPY HOUR! Yes it's boxed wine, but it's the good stuff! They have their own cocktail concoctions, although I think old fashioneds are their specialty. I don't normally like old fashioneds because of that weird cherry taste, but the couple I've had there were really nice, not too sweet, citrusy, and just a good sipping drink. The white russian was a little funky, because they used their own coffee mix instead of kahlua, and it was a bit thicker (think mudslide), but it was good as well. And they have a great bottled beer selection! In short, this is my favorite establishment in Manhattan at the moment. I liked them a lot for the coffee, and now that they have alcohol (and some food) I might just do all my eating and drinking here. It is a bit small, but very very worth it. Also, happy hour is Monday through Friday, 3-6 pm.
If you are visiting or looking for a new place to grab some coffee and lunch you need to check out this shop. They know their coffee and their brewing methods. And the monkey bread is the bomb dot com.

I recently ate here with my brother, who attends Kansas State, while visiting for the K-state Vs Texas Tech game. And I took him out to lunch we stopped in and both really enjoyed the food and atmosphere! We both got the Reuben sandwich and it was the best Reuben I have ever had! Very authentic and you get what you pay for, quality and authenticity. The atmosphere was cool also clean and like an old English pub I enjoyed it. The service was great and the owners take pride in their pub, walking around and conversing with their customers. They are very nice people was happy to eat there and will again when I return.
Warm greeting as we came in the door. Open seating. Great easy going music Very friendly staff! Loved the input and communication through out my meal!(checking in on us) New what was good if not ordering the special, and I let them choose! Reuben has real corn beef and probably the best Rueben I have ever had! Fish was battered well and it was buttery! Cornish pastry was great! Bangers and mash was not my favourite but hubby loved it. Shepard's pie was great too! And then there was the strongbow cider!
Solid spot right in Aggieville for a pint of the good stuff. Cold pints, check! Hot fried food, check! Booths for convo and a good bar for a shots and meeting folks. All around solid spot with a nice menu to go with cold drinks.

Really first time in Manhattan, Kansas. My dad and I were here visiting the campus, we stopped by Harry's for dinner. We were a tad underdressed but nobody minded. The atmosphere is nice, and so are the servers. Antonio served us and he was great, we even asked him about the campus and the apartments I'm staying in. He was really helpful and was a diligent server, my drink was never empty. As for the food; my dad ordered the prime rib and it was incredible. I ordered the citrus snapper and it was savory, cooked to perfection. It was money well spent between the service and the food and a fabulous night with my father.
We came here for our 1 year wedding anniversary dinner and we had a lovely evening. Definitely pricey but worth it! We will probably come by here again for our future anniversaries! Great atmosphere, good service, fine food and wine! (;
Amazing food! Great charm. Excellent service. The operators, Andrea and Evan, have a special gift. Don't pass this place up!

Dive bar downtown manhattan near the mall with great daily specials and friendly bartenders. A lot of restaurant employees from the area come here after work.
Awesome little bar downtown just across the street from the mall. Full bar with rotating specials. Staff is super friendly and awesome. I like to frequent here after work. I very much recommend it.
We stopped in here one night to escape the college crowd and grab a few drinks after dinner. The service was quick and friendly. Its definitely a dive. But the beer is cheap and there aren't any crowds to fight for a seat. They also have a few pool tables and dart boards. Beer selection is ok - nothing crafty here.
