I have eaten at this Pita Pit for several years and the service has reached a point that I do not intend to ever return. Placed an order for delivery and when I called to ask why it was late, the manager acted like it was no big deal- even though it had been twice the quoted time! When I asked to cancel the order and just get reimbursed, he said fine and hung up on me before I could even ask for confirmation that they would actually get me my money back. Completely unprofessional! I will go somewhere else for lunch in MHK.

Oh my! First time here, and I had the greatest salad of my life! We were there at a slow time of the day but the service was fantastic!

For Manhattan, Kansas, Pita Pit is a godsend, especially if you're vegan like me. While it might be a chain, it's actually quite a good one and offers really tasty falafel made to order for only $6 or so. You can choose between white or wholewheat pita, and they choose your veggies and sauces. It's like the Subway or Chipotle of falafel. And the falafel here is good. It's fragrant, nicely full of herbs and makes for a quick, cheap, healthy and tasty meal.

First off - I'd like to note that I love Pita Pit's food. I'd go to the one in Grand Forks during college all the time, and it was always a great place for some late night food. I've also been to the place sober, and the food is still just as good. That being said, I was very disappointed with my recent visit to the Pita Pit in the "Aggieville" neighborhood of Manhattan. It was around dinnertime and the place was completely empty...but very messy and unkempt. We ordered our food - 2 gyros, 1 bag of chips, and 1 pop cost us nearly $20?! Jeez...Pita Pit was never dirt cheap, but since it's a place that's traditionally only found in college towns and obviously caters towards college students that seemed a little steep for your quick service food. Positives: -Food was still quite good, nice fresh ingredients, and made right in front of you. -Fun location in Aggieville, a big bar and nightlife area in Manhattan. Negatives: -Parking...there was no parking anywhere close. I realize it was dinnertime on a Friday night, but we had to walk nearly 1/2 mile from where we found a spot to park. -Dirty inside the restaurant -A little overpriced I think I maybe just had a bad experience with this Pita Pit, I still love the food - but this location just threw me off the normal good vibes I get from eating here. I'll try the Lawrence location next and see if that's any better.

Food is alright but a bit pricey. Not much to say about this place. If you like pitas, then this place is for you. Food is fresh and good.

Smoothie Pit is inside of The PIta Pit. There's about 5 or 6 different flavors of smoothies. I am lactose intolerant & stupidly ordered a strawberry banana smoothie (I forgot the name) without the yogurt. One of the employees said that it wouldn't taste good. He was soooo right. I should have gotten a non-dairy smoothie from TCBY at the mall. D'OH!

Came here for lunch during the week. Foods fresh and pretty good. Service wasn't bad either. What kinda turned me off was the cleanliness of the place. While where the food was wasn't too bad, some of the tables seemed uncleaned and the restroom was disgusting.
