Usually we do carry out or delivery but, today we decided to dine in. My favorite pizza is the Thai Chicken! Today, we tried the jumbo wings for the first time. They were really good. We ordered them naked.

Waited 25 minutes at our table. No one came by. Server walked by 3 times didn't even acknowledge us. Busy or not, stop by and say something.

It seemed busy from outside but that was mostly people waiting for takeout or large tables. Got a seat quickly. Nice atmosphere - fantastic pizza!

I hadn't ate at Minsky's in a long time because their service had become terrible. I decided to give them another chance after years and nothing has changed. The first time I ordered, my boneless hot wings were mild at best. The fettuccine was disgusting and tasted like it had been setting all day. The sandwich and fries were the only bright spot. I ordered the same thing tonight and was shocked to get boned wings. The sauce was hotter, but I don't think I would call it hot as much as vinegary. The fettuccine was fresh this time and again the sandwich was good. Two orders and failures both times. I gave them another chance, and another... won't again. Both orders were for delivery which is where the poor service issues came from before.

Growing up in Chicago, I consider myself a bit of a pizza snob. I take it a bit seriously, but understand the pizza in KC is different than the pizza in Chicago. Now as far as pizza in KC goes, the safe bet is often Minsky's. if there were a Waldo Pizza nearby, I would prefer that...but I am not going to drive to Waldo or Lee's Summit for my pizza, so I go to Minsky's. It's always very tasty and, I think, fairly priced. Service has always been very good when I do carry-out...I have never actually eaten in the restaurant before, but I cannot imagine it's much different. They have beer here, but I enjoy ordering my pizza, going down to Danny's for a beer or two (usually cheaper), and coming back for my pick up.

They always have the best pizza out of any local restaurants!!! There's no delivery minimum either! I highly recommend their prime cut pizza! The blend of flavors and the amount of melty cheese is so delicious!!!

Good pizzas! I couldn't decide between the all meat and the veggie- my waitress told me I could get both by splitting the pizza! Good salad too. Relaxed family environment. Decent beer selection. I really enjoyed this local favorite.

Moving here from Chicago, I found it hard to find nice pizza. This is a very good pizza. I enjoyed every bite of this pie. It was fast and delicious. No comparison.

One of the best pizzas in town. Great crust and sauce and toppings galore. You can pick off their standard menu or create your own. Now they are more money than most pizza shops, but well worth it. I order from here often for work functions. They also have great boneless chicken wings, sandwiches and sides. They have always been on time and the orders are always right. Easy to order online or call in we also go here for lunch on occasion and they have a great staff and atmosphere.

Minsky's has always proven to be consistent over time. We have never eaten in, it has always been take out. I love that they have a gluten free menu, since I'm gluten sensitive. Pizzas come out on time, cashiers are nice. Tonight's pizza was a custom made, gluten free small pizza--I told them to add veggies and sausage. It also had cucumber, tomato, bell peppers, and almonds. Delish!

The best pizza in Kansas City. Service is very good. Sometimes a bit of a wait but worth it!

Years ago, there was a Minsky's Pizza on Metcalf between I435 and Metcalf Mall. Even today, I still remember it as making one of the best pizzas that I've ever consumed. So, looking amongst all the new pizza shops that have sprung up in the years past, I was happy to find that Minsky's is still around. Was it as good as I remembered? Every bit, and excellent service along with it. We had the deep dish large combo - not greasy, but hot all the way through, the cheese perfect, and the sauce delicious. Would I go back? You bet.

It's the best pizza in KC. Location doesn't matter, though as a Lenexa resident, I go to the one off College and Pflumm most frequently. Cost can be prohibitive...quality demands some sacrifice, I suppose...but there isn't a bad slice in the place. I'm absolutely in love with the BBQ pizza, by the way, but whatever the veggie is that my wife gets, it's pretty darn delicious as well (Nature's Choice, I think???). Anyone who lives in KC and has the money to do it seems to take this over any other option, so if you're passing through and tired of nothing but the red meat served up to you by the plateful, give Minsky's a shot. It's the end all, be all of good pizza in KC.

This is by far the best local pizza I have had. I recently moved to Kansas and ny friend recommended me to check this place out. They have the top notch signature pizzas and awesome customer service. Our waiter was generous enough to give us 20% off since it was our first time at this restaurant. I would totally go back again!!

This is one of many Minskys around the KC area we have tried and definitely one of the better ones. I have yet to dine here only opting for their carry-out option a couple times over the past several months. In my times walking into the restaurant, I have only seen diners a couple times. It usually feels like a dark ghost town inside and might be better suited for carry-outers. The Nature's Choice pie on wheat crust has been a solid staple for us over the last several visit. Great gourmet pizza usually paired with some cheesy breadsticks or cheese bread, a carb-lovers dream! I'll continue to stop by Minskys and try some other options. It definitely beats the delivery options (Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, etc..) in the area despite prices that are about double the price. For the price, however, I'd rather go to D'Bronx on Metcalf and truly load up.

This is my favorite place to get calzones. You can create your own from the list. Creamcheese is one of the options and I highly recommend it, so much smoother than ricotta and creamer.

pizza wants to shine crust like wonderbread, no chew quality toppings deep dish for grease-fest fried wonderbread!? but, it's fried! fried bread is best bread five stars for five star but rosemary sticks in teeth dumb topping dude, geez.

Staff is very friendly, pizza is amazing even though a little pricey. They have a gigantic pizza that is 26 inches & will easily feed 8 good eaters, after tax & tip it was $58. You can't feed 8 people for that problem was no one ever wants the same thing. Highly recommend to me & I will go back.

This is my go to pizza and has been for a number of years. I grew up eating at the MInskys in Shawnee. We have lived near this location for about 5 years and order from there 1-2x per month (not because I don't love it, but it isn't cheap and also not that healthy). My favorite is the Cheeseburger pizza and my husband loves the Italian Buffalo. My kids love the cheese and their menu for kids is very good. We don't generally eat in, but when we have we have always had a good experience. Very family friendly. As far as delivery they are very fast and the pizzas are always hot!

Definitely a "pizza and beers" kinda place. We've gone here to hang out with decent sized groups of friends and the staff always does a good job handing all the drinks and food for us. Definitely think this is one of the better locations in the KC area. We've been to a couple others and always come back to this one, even though there's a closer restaurant to home. My only complaint is that the pizzas are sometimes extremely greasy, even the cheese ones. The wheat crust is tasty and we almost always order the cheesy breadsticks. Those could be a meal in themselves!

Probably one of the best (if not the best) pizza place in the Kansas City area. Had a combo deep dish. The service was excellent. Waitress kept the soft drink refills coming without even having to ask or waiting for my glass to be empty. I love that sort of service and it scores big points with me.

We had our annual Christmas Party at this location last month. The pizzas were great. I picked a pretty big variety of them, but the cheese and pepperoni were the most popular. My favorite is the Thai or the Philly Cheesesteak. The philly was better in the past. I haven't had it in over a year, but it seems the steak was much higher quality last time. The server was great. She was very friendly. Although this wasn't a sit down and be served event, she did a great job making sure our pitchers of soda were always full and that things were cleaned up, we had enough napkins, plates, silverware, etc. She let us take the leftovers home and provided several boxes so the staff could split them up. The timeliness was perfect. The appetizers and salad were out right at 6, and the pizza started coming out at 6:20, exactly when I specified. The one complaint I have was about the $25 room reservation fee. While I understand charging us to rent your party room, we were there on a Sunday night. It is not exactly a popular night for eating out. I wish we could have applied the fee towards our $325 bill for pizza. Overall, it was a great experience. The only thing keeping it from five stars is that fee.

Best pizza in town bar none. Service is very good to. Loaded down with cheese and the crust is amazing! Size could be a tag bigger but we'll worth what you pay in price.

Wow. So dissappointed. Have ordered to go here dozens of times and decided to go eat in and watch the KU hoops game. 15-20 min after ordering we were told that a "huge" catering order just got put in the oven in front of ours. And that the entire oven was being utilized in order to fill said order. It would be an additional 25-30 minutes. Our server was cool if misinformed but Manager was snarky as hell. I simply asked if one little corner of the oven could be used for the growing number of frustrated tables in the actual restaurant. I get the decision to try to cram a big money order in but definitely not at 6....on a Saturday. ..When KU tips at 6. Ugh I've never seen more tables looking around and wondering what was going onon

While Minskys is a Zagat-rated restaurant, this particular location is unique in it's second room/game room. The pizza is always top notch, the customer service is great, and the game room is perfect for entertaining everyone in the family. We've been to this location for birthday parties, get-togethers, and just for a family night out. For great food and great atmosphere, you can't go wrong at Minskys @ College & Pflumm!

Absolutely the best pizza in Kansas City from the sauce to the cheese and meats all fresh everyday. The salads and sandwiches are also delicious and fresh and the employees are the best, always friendly. I would recommend Minskys to anyone I know as the best place to eat quality pizza.

Would be a 4.5 if I could. A gorgeous lil chica from the OP insisted that we get the 5 cheese and I have to admit it was darn good. That coming from a guy that loves combinations and meat lovers style pizza. It's not the best pizza I have ever had, but it certainly is better than most.

I am a pizza fan hands down. I have been to a few of the Minsky's in the KC area and this one was just ok. My group wasn't greeted at the beginning, so we eventually found where our event was in the back of the restaurant. The pizza was so-so at this location, and I almost anytime will eat pizza... I only had one piece.

Most affordable lunch in Lenexa. Very good salad and a nice size slice. You won't leave hungry. Also have a nice service staff. Lunch is pretty quick. Best pizza around.

I'm writing about the Minsky's in Lawrence, Ks. The Lawrence location is not listed anywhere here so I've elected to 'tag' it to Lenexa. Pizza always hot, fresh and tasty! Plus, the vibe in Lawrence is awesome! Thanks Minsky's for coming to Lawrence! And thanks Jenne for being a great waitress. SK

Always been our go to for pizza. We love the Papa Minsky pizza on thin wheat crust. The crust is crispy and not greasy. Lots of cheese and toppings, they don't go chinsy on the toppings. They're always busy with dine in and carry out. Friendly, prompt service and great pizza.

Decent take-out, but better options down the street. I ordered a cheese pizza and house salad the other night, and was a bit disappointed with the quality. The cheese pizza tasted like it had been sitting out for a while: soft dough and tough cheese. The sauce was no where to be found on this pizza, but perhaps that's a desired style in KC. The salad was surprisingly good, with loads of fresh veggies on a bed of romaine. I probably wouldn't go back here if I was in the area, but that has more to do with the high quality pies down the street -- at Stonewall Inn -- than it does with Minskys. I probably would have given this place 2-stars, if not for the terrific service.

Heard a lot about this local institution, but it was barely a step up from Red Baron. The beer specials cushioned the fall.

As the last reviewer of this fine establishment stated, "friendly waitstaff", this is one of the better Minsky's in the area for that reason. For my taste buds and selection this is one good KC pizza joint. The sandwiches and fries are excellent but the pizza is awesome. The toppings are endless 40 to be exact, and the honey whole wheat, yes whole wheat, crust is one of my favorites. I usually go with the natures choice with the whole wheat crust but the endless amount of toppings has always been calling me. I've been going to Minsky's for over ten years, and never has a bad experience or a bad pizza.

I have been eating at minskys for years, since my college days. Went and ordered a take out from the one on college. Two med for 30$ very small looked like two dried up paper plates, when I asked about the size, manager said they shrink up. Won't go back.

Minsky's is definitely a great spot to hit up for tasty, well made pizza. The people who work here are gracious and sweet, knowing they like their jobs and work hard. Its a true pizzeria, with its dark red booths and wood walls. It just reminds me of typical movie set pizzeria, half expecting to see little Joe waltz in asking for Uncle Vinnie in a Brookyln accent. We made our own pizza, but was overwhelmed with all the choices. Sauerkraut? Almonds? Bacon strips? Yikes, you can make a weird pizza at Minsky's...We stuck to the more traditional toppings and shared some garlic cheese toast (which I highly recommend). Next time I'd like to see what their hot wings are like. It's not "the Best," but its darn good pizza for a reasonable price, and far better than any larger pizza chains.
