My friend and I were the first of our party of 6 to arrive on Friday night. We asked for a table for 6 and the hostess, who was also our server, acted put out that we were there with a 'large party' without a reservation. Keep in mind there were only TWO people in the restaurant at the time and they left shortly after we arrived, leaving us as the ONLY customers in the restaurant. The server continued her rude attitude throughout the meal. The wines were delicious as was the food. However, nothing can make up for the horrific service. I have never had service so poor in all my years of dining and have never felt so uncomfortable as a customer. This sentiment was shared by my 5 friends as well; none of us will ever return.

I liked this place, but it is a little pricey. Wasn't bad the night we went because they had half price appetizers. The wine flights are good, but it would be nice to have a system at the table to remind you which is which.

My daughter and I went on a Tuesday night for 1/2 price flights and 1/2 price appetizers. Jason, who was our hostess, sat us and very soon brought to the table some rosemary and olive oil bread with a dish of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Unbelievably, he was also our very knowledgeable server and bartender, too! We had so much fun sampling a variety of food and wine. While deciding what we would sample next, we lingered over white wine flights while we nibbled on the cheese and fruit appetizer. Since there were only a couple of other small groups/couples in the restaurant, we were really able to have a great conversation with each other. Continuing to our next "course" we decided upon red wine flights with grilled veggies appetizer and a steak appetizer served on a bed of greens. I dashed my greens with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar that he served us initially. We couldn't believe how efficient Jason was! He knew so much about wines in addition to being very knowledgeable about the menu. His memory was excellent. Upon serving each flight, he would review with us which each wine was. Having such detailed descriptions about each wine was extremely helpful. Jason needs a raise! He handled the entire front part of the restaurant single-handedly. What a fun night we had! We took our time wining and dining for about 2 hours. If you are in a rush, this is not the place to go. Go with total relaxation in mind. My daughter has already proclaimed this to be her new favorite place and has offered for me to take her every Tuesday! What a winner!

Dig it. Really wish I didn't have to make a drive out to Bumblefuck, Suburbia to get there, but I still enjoyed it. This place is going to do juuuuust fine in JoCo. We had about a 20 minute wait and spent the time with a glass of wine at the bar. I have to give tons of props to the bartender...the guy was quick and efficient and I have no idea how he was able to pour a billion wine flights that night but I guess that's his job. And he did it well. Our table decided to order two flatbreads to split between the three of us--the margherita and four cheese. As a pleasant mistake, the kitchen made a greek flatbread, so we got that one for free. That was probably my favorite...lots of leafy greens, tomatoes, kalamata olives and black hummus. Glory. The other two were very tasty as well. I ordered the Taste of Italy wine flight to go with dinner. It had a rose', a white and a champagne. I loved the variety. Service was a little choppy but to be fair this place DID just open. It took way too long to get our check divided but it wasn't something that ruined the night or anything. I really had to take a star off because of the ocean/beach scenes playing on the plasma TVs. Cheesy! This would be a great date place, if it weren't so facking far away from my house. I see it doing great business.

I thought this was a great restaurant. We went out there because we had a groupon type thing - and we weren't expecting much. It was wonderful though! Tons of wine flights to chose from! In terms of food I had the chicken alfredo goat cheese pasta - really good. My parents had the grilled chicken panini with garlic fries and the steak milano sandwich with regular fries. We all enjoyed our meals, good service and a nice atmosphere. I would definitely suggest trying it out! We plan to go back!

Nice place. I stopped in here during a business trip and tried a few wine flights. The Zin flight was very good, as was the bordeaux. The cheese and meat plate was great! I had the crab cake and a small filet for dinner. The filet was nothing special, but the crab cake was much better than I expected in a land-locked state. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in KC, or maybe again later this week for that matter!

In my opinion: Our server was very nice but the service was so slow it threw off the rest of our evening. Our wine flights came about 15-20 minutes after we ordered it. We ordered two flights and two meals. Our meal came later, we asked about the bread that we were supposed to receive at the beginning of the meal, I asked for a side of the wasabi ranch and my husband asked for a side of ketchup. We watched him go back and forth between tables never returning with our requests. Finally he brought the bread and ranch AFTER I we were finished with our meals and the ketchup never came. I do feel the flights of wine are overpriced. And the seating is trendy but not comfortable. Another notable incident is when another server came by to refill our waters he spilled water all over me. He got it on my pants and my brand new $400 smart phone. The phone is currently not showing any signs of damage. I was not happy that ice cold water was spilled on my lap. The server appeared to find this amusing as he was smiling. I will say this. The food was good. My husband enjoyed his burger and fries and my goat cheese pizza was good though I had to scrap off the garlic by the handful.

Can't even get my order right . In the weeds all night long. The food was good once it was right but wow just Friday the 13th for our meal

I wish you could write 4 1/2. They did a very nice job. Very personable. With multiple options for wines. Also the flight is a nice idea with three samples. The food is very nicely presented and fairly good. The prices were better than I expected. The small plates are small but at least they are honest. I got the scallops and they are very tasty. The owner's wife was very nice to us

Went on a first date to this place and thought it was great! Though I wish I were on the date with the waitress...oh well. Really cool premise for a wine place. Huge selection of wines and what seemed like a full menu. The salad was okay, I think it needed more dressing. The wines in the flight I had were great. This is a really cool place for a date. It's trendy, chic, and new. You absolutely need to check this place out. I will be back for sure.

Tonight's dinner was not a great dining experience. With slow, uninformed and inattentive service it is hard to appreciate and enjoy the tasty food. Our son enjoyed his flatbread pizza. My filet was good, but wasn't served as ordered (our server didn't understand my request for substitution). My wife ordered crab cakes and some portabella salad, but was told shortly after ordering that the kitchen was out of crab cakes. We found the serving size of our salads to be quite small. We had a better lunch experience here at Wine Flights about a year ago, but tonight's dinner will probably keep up from going back.

Great relaxing place to hang out with friends or have a casual date. Thursdays, they have 1/2 priced appetizers and some wine flights. All their appetizers are great and very easy to share with 2-6 people. Try their halibut with broccoli as an entree - yum! Favorite wine is the Milton Park Shiraz. When it warms up, they have a patio area with a fountain. Thanks for the friendly service!

Great wine selection. Although they made an error with my salad, they corrected it quickly and then did not charge me! A great spot for the SoJoCo crowd.

This is a cool neighborhood wine flights bar and bistro, with good wine choices and unique food. The menu consists of small plates with options of pasta, fish, chicken, beef, appetizers, sandwiches, and etc. I have had good experiences here on several visits, but Saturday night was the best. I was alone, so sat at the bar and the owner was my server. This is owned by a husband and wife. I would assume the husband was in the kitchen. At the bar, I was able to see much good service happening. I had calamari and the ahi tuna. Both were excellent. My server-owner suggested a different wine pairing with the tuna and it was also excellent. I have noticed the wine flights do take a little extra time to prepare, so realize what type of service to expect. The atmosphere is much like a nice country club experience. This is the place to try if you like to sample wine and watch what you eat.

This is such a hidden gem. The staff is very friendly and "wine" savvy! We had wonderful service and the recommendations were spot on perfect for our wine/food pallettes. We were there a week ago and plan another visit very soon!

This spot doesn't have many recent reviews, but it's not a surprise to me, since both times I've been in the last 3 months, there have only been one other occupied table the entire time we were there! That said, the food is very good. Love the crab/mango stack, coconut shrimp, and most of the dip appetizer (note to chef - leave off the crab dip that only fills 1/3 of a bowl!) flatbreads are good too. Love the concept of the wine flights, just too expensive if not 1/2 price at happy hour. I am a wine lover and collector...but the glasses of wine are way too overpriced ($18 for a glass of Stoller Oregon Pinot noir which is good, but not $18 worth. Alas, at $95 for Happy Hour for two (albeit with two expensive, non happy hour priced glasses), it is not an acceptable value. But you smart people already know this...you weren't at the table next to ours.

My friend and I have come into Wine Flights a couple of times and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable, the food is orgasmic, and the wines are delectable. We like the Big Cali wine flight and I had the filet and my friend had a pasta dish and we were just blown away by the experience. They also hold monthly wine tasting events - we haven't been to one yet but plan to soon!

I can't accurately make a review on the food or place. This is because my family and I got there around 855 pm (they close at 10) and nobody was there. They apparently didn't care they were supposed to be open and just decided to close. We were really disappointed because my mom says the appetizers are really good. Oh well

I would say this restaurant is near death. I liked it when I was there a few years ago. Recently it seems as if they are always out of wines on their list and have to make substitutions. I ordered a dry rosé flight and they had to sub 2 out of 3 wines - I ended up with 2 sweet, almost dessert style wines - not at all comparable. Half of the food we tried to order either hadn't been made yet (apparently the chef shows up right when they open) or they were out of it. FYI, it was 5:30 - their opening time. All the other "patrons" in the restaurant seemed to be family or friends - there were children running around the restaurant - the owners' kids, perhaps. The server was overly friendly to the point where she would stand at our table making small talk when we wanted her to leave. She also presented the wines in an overly educated way, to the point of being condescending or lecturing. When we would comment on a wine, wine style, or any aspect of winemaking she would contradict or us correct us. I'm sure she thought she was being helpful, but it was rather annoying. If I wanted to be treated condescendingly, I would go to Rm39. I think the food was descent, but I don't remember much of it because the overall experience was quite a letdown.

I feel bad.. This place has given up. And it had promise. With better organization; AC down, two tables and four bar patrons in over an hour. No ice and using PayPal for payment. Guest next to us seemed to like food but it really is on a downward spiral. It is like a restaurant funeral.

What a great little hidden gem. We decided to try them out on a whim. We didn't know about the 530 open time so we waited about 15 minutes for them to open. We were the first and only people there for a while so we had the place to ourselves. I drink wine, a lot of wine, but I'm not a wine snob so these places sometimes intimidate me. The bartender who appeared to be a manager was more than friendly. She customized my first flight based on what I told her I like. We ordered a mixed plate of meat, cheese and fruit as well as the warm dips app. It took a while for these to arrive but we weren't in a hurry. The woman working said her staff hadn't shown up and she appeared to be doing most of the work herself. The plates arrived and we're both great. We also had a 2nd round of flights each. Great spot! We will return!

Wine Flights has become one of my favorite girl's night, happy hour destinations. The selections are unique and delicious. If you appreciate complex flavors and interesting food, you'll be pleased for sure. Loved trying a few flights, and especially enjoyed selection 205 in the cab section. Our wait staff is always friendly and helpful. A great place to sit a spell and relax!

I came here a few weeks ago on a week night with 2 friends for happy hour and loved this place. I love happy hour for cheap eats and all of their appetizers are half price from 5:30 - 7:30. There was one waitress and one person in the kitchen, as far as I could tell, but we had great service. It was not super busy. Also, it specifically states on their website that you will wait at least 15-20 minutes to be seated if you do not have reservations. We had the wine flights which were great. They have wine flights 1/2 price on Monday and Tuesday - but we were there on Wednesday. Oh well. The appetizers were all good - mixed plate, breschetta and artichoke dip. We definitely plan to come back. I told a couple of gals about it at work and they go all the time now. It's definitely a great wine bar.

Always a great time. This is a wonderful place to unwind after work or on weekends with your spouse and friends. Happy hour deals on wine flights and appetizers are really good. But understand this isn't fast food. It's a quiet, laid back atmosphere that allows you to talk and enjoy the person you are with. Good wine, good food and good friends - what could be better than that?

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to get a class of wine and something small to eat so we ended up here last night, a Saturday. He had been before and recommended we go. We walked into a small smoke filled space. Apparently, something had burned in the kitchen. We proceeded to try to order flights of red and white half of which they didn't have. We ordered one of their salads and the meat and cheese plate. Salad was good, meat plate was not good. This place is expensive and sub par. I don't think we would go back.

Quite a surprising restaurant. I came with a group of 10. Good thing for them because we were the only ones in the restaurant. The waiter and bartender were very nice as well as the owner who personally thanked us for coming. It sits in the middle of a strip mall-- easy to miss. They serve only flights of wine as well as beer. No other alcohol. We had the cheese & meat plate for the appetizers which went over very well. All of the dinners were excellent according to my colleagues. I'd definitely go back.

We have been waiting 45 minutes for our food. Our water glasses have been empty and our waiter has disappeared. Not a good experience at all.

Look.....I like this place. Been going here for a few years. But.... The service is spotty sometimes. Have to wait to be seated, wait for food, wait for wine. When the wait staff is good then this place is fantastic. But too often the service is just bad. And sometimes they are not open.....come on it is 5 pm on a Saturday and I want some wine! Great wine selection, apps are good to. But....the service!

The waitress/bartender was so genuine and nice, that is the main reason why I am giving this place three stars. She was great at helping us make our wine selection and just an all around personable woman. Exceptional service. The food, however, was lame. Way overpriced for the quality and quantity of food. Shrimp was clearly not fresh, the meat and cheese starter was more of a teaser. The cheese again, not so fresh.
