A small little dive in downtown Syracuse, IN! The food menu is pretty large in variety, anything from salads, to entrees, sandwiches and burgers. We indulged in the delicious burgers, they tasted very fresh and well portioned. They don't come with a side, but the separate side order is very generous. They also have a large variety of craft beers on tap that are reasonably priced. Only gripe is the smoking inside... The service was great as well!

They have the best burgers in town and the biggest beer selection. Great craft beers. I go there often and have never had a problem with the service. If you don't come in and act like you own the place you will not have any problems. They are your servers not your slaves.

The food is great, but it doesn't excuse the owner's attitude. I went in with a few friends for a birthday drink, and the owner thought it would be a fitting time to chew someone in my party out about the behaviour of his friends on a seperate occasion months before. The staff is hit-or-miss; sometimes the service is great, sometimes the servers have better things to do than help you.

1st time ever here. Not sure when I'll return. This place is a bit of an enigma. May rate closer to 4 but read on. OK - so we go on a Friday night a couple weeks back - thankfully just a light drizzle instead of the massive downpours we've been having. The place is packed - I know, I know; Bar, Friday Night, Small Town at the Lake - what did we expect, right? SOP- grab seat and wait. Grab a seat anywhere when you go in, the staff are over busy with the people here and can't fiddle with a newbie in the door that they probably didn't even see come in. We grabbed a table in the "new" non-descript part of the bar that apparently also hosts bands occasionally, though not tonight. Our waitress was darn near frantic busy but was a pro when she got to us and we informed we were 1st timers and gave us a quick rundown of the menu. Taking her recommendations, the much better half ordered a loaded up bacon cheeseburger with everything no mayo - me, I tend to lean towards breaded tenderloins when described as I like them (NOT beat incredibly thin and oversized) drug through the garden. We ordered a side of fires to share, a hard cider and a water. An hour wait on grub was a long time to wait - the televisions weren't even turned on. We weren't told our order would take an hour or more - ever....and its a really small kitchen. Inquiring to some of the apparent and nearby locals, they tell us the long grub wait is part of the charm of the place and typical, and don't let the owner get wind of any impatient nature or you may be banned from returning. Really, these people seemed dead serious on it. Food comes out and it looks awesome. Plenty of fries to share too. Not only does the food look awesome, the much better half says its the best bacon cheeseburger she's perhaps EVER had...and huge. Only downside - SWIMMING in mayo that she did not order. My tenderloin was very good and delivered exactly as described - hot, crispy cracker crumb breaded, thick meat, tender and delicious. I wound up finishing off the last 1/4 of her burger and I'd rate it as tasty, well done and approaching dry. For the record, sweetie says I'm nuts if I thought it was "approaching dry" as she loved it. I would specify medium or medium rare but our waitress never asked my wife and I didn't note that until she walked away. $30 all in for 2 sandwiches, a bottled water, and a $4 side of fries. They comped the cider for the mayo mixup. Would I return? I'd qualify a "Yes" answer by adding, "at lunch or when not too busy through the week".

My favorite place near or far. Solid sandwiches and regular menu items. Homemade soups are the best around and the daily specials are imaginative and usually fantastic. Great choice of beers. Best of all they cater to those of us who spend money in there year 'round while still being welcoming to those out-of-towners who leave the condescension at home.

if your not a regular local here STAY AWAY...unless u want to be treated rudely, by the manager... get prices in advance, unless u want to be ripped off. they seem to only cater to the local people that are regulars.

Without a doubt the best bar and restaurant around if you don't mind the smoke in the bar. Don't miss it

Big burgers and bountiful brews. Bar and barmaid are both archetypal characters in this lakeside dive. Neither one smiles, but you still leave happy. But, I wouldn't go by myself...the place would be pretty lonely without a friend.

This used to be one of our favorite places to go for food and drinks until this past Friday when we experienced AWFUL customer service by the bartendar, who claimed to be the owner's daughter. Customer service and word of mouth is key to a small town business...and I know that we will not be recommending this place to anyone!! So sad :(

I only give this two stars because there are redeeming qualities to the restaurant/bar, and I feel terrible leaving negative reviews to local restaurants. I have to admit, I've had far more bad experiences than good, and all were service related. When lake friends of a certain stature invite us to dinner, I've been treated extremely well. Our friends are clearly regulars and are acknowledged when we walk in the door, care is given to our orders, the bill is always right. When I've been in with other 20 somethings, I've overheard talk from the staff about "keeping an eye on that party." I don't know what they expect we would do (we're not exactly ruffians), and this is a restaurant after all not a stick-up joint. I have also attended by myself, sat at the bar and been promptly ignored by the same staffer mentioned above while she finished a conversation with a cooworker. Would not recommend for a first date. Would not recommend for a quick lunch. Would recommend if your neighboor is a circuit court judge who dines here regularly, you'll receive consistently excellent service.

After 5 more visits in the past year. I give the food a 5, the service and atmosphere a 2. Smokey and bad attitudes!

I try and stop at huntington St everytime I get done pheasant hunting at tri county fish and wildlife area. Very good craft beer selection and comfortable bar. Made to order breakfast on Sunday is always a winner. They make you purchase an alcholic beverage with breakfast to keep the church going folk out that normally take up all the tables and just drink coffee and order toast. If you don't want your cocktail, they will give you a chip to bring in later to have your drink. BBQ and sandwiches are fresh and always delicious. This place is an oasis in a sea of shitty bars in the Syracuse lake region.

I had the chicken mushroom grill (I think that's what it was called). It was out of this world! I'm definitely going to go back and try something new. Service was sufficient and the prices are good.

We enjoy going to Huntington Street. Great atmosphere in a small town. It is smokey and depending on the time of day you go, it can be loud. Amazing and enjoyable food (especially their homemade chips). There salads are enormous. Good selection of beers as well. Usually have bands on the weekends. Sometimes service can be slow during busy times, but overall it is definitely our favorite neighborhood bar. The daily specials are usually very pricey but we haven't been disappointed. Their regular menu times are very reasonable.

Food was really good but the service was horrible. I never felt welcome while I was there. After we finished eating we sat for over thirty minutes without any service. Our drinks were empty the whole time. The overall experience was ruined by the bad service.

Friendly, great tastes, weekend specials are always well prepared. Soups are worth the drive. Only downfall, smoking. But tolerable and worth it

If you don't like this place, we can't be friends. We spend summers up here and this is our go-to. The food is great and they have a fantastic selection of craft beer. The original ceilings and decor are fantastic.

Good bar food here. Craft Beer selection here is as solid as they come, with taps changing frequently. If you're a music lover like myself you will fall in love with the ambiance of 60s/70s rock Gods like the Grateful Dead, Dylan, Cash and Marley...some sweet memorabilia. Salads are fresh with great dressing selections Ive only had the burgers at this point which are legit. Dont sleep on The house made potato chips....so good. My only complaints are the beer prices. $6 for a microbrew pint is redic. Service was a bit slow but it was busy as hell. And the main reason for the three star review is that they allow smoking...wtf!? Based on the limited non chain restaurants in the area this is one of the better ones and Im sure we will make it back.
