Joe's is a Richmond staple of both food and culture. Joe's Pizza has been involved in so many facets of the community that all you have to say is literally, "Eat at Joe's" and everyone knows what you mean. The atmosphere is great, filled with all kinds of nostalgic memorabilia and throwbacks to Richmond history. Everything added together helps to offset that the fodo itself is not the most amazing in the world, but where else can you say that you ate pizza on a slanted floor and had to hold on to the table to avoid sliding away from it!

The pizza is ok... nothing special.. came here for the buffet so the price isn't bad at all. I'm just more of a Pizza King fan, and I didn't know what to expect when I came here. The atmosphere is nice, it reminded me of a coffee shop I went to back home. The lettuce for the salad was fresh and I liked the toppings they had for it. I don't know if I would come here again unless we were meeting my MIL for a quick lunch.

The music, the management, the fun. That's what I go for. Friday nights.

Not what I thought it was going to be. The pizza's are made with pre made store bought crust. Next time I want a pizza like that I will go to the freezer section at Walmart. Good service though.

Pretty much every time I'm in Richmond, I end up at Joe's. Not only for the pizza, though you won't find better within 30 miles (unless your tastes require cheesy triple-cheese breadsticks dipped in cheese with your dinner, or eating pizza in your boxer shorts). It's also got atmosphere the likes of which you can't find elsewhere in the area, or even far from there - an awesome, lofty old building turned into a quaint, family-friendly old-school pizza joint? Very, very cool.

You will NOT leave hungry! June 26th, 2012 was my second visit with my husband to Joe's Pizza. We went exactly a year ago and had the pizza buffet (large selection of pizza & a good salad bar). First off, thanks to the fellas below me for the great advice, this is why Yelp! is a great source to use. Because of these people, I received information that brought me to try something new AND enjoyed. One mentioned signing up to Twitter for special Tuesday deals. Also, another person mentioned the huge nachos. Well, I am a lover of both pizza and nachos and wouldn't you know, that was the Tuesday deal. The location is very cool. There are some antique stores, a general store and a few other local shops that are nice to check out as well as making a trip here for pizza. Convenient street and lot parking. The building itself is historical, the business previously held was a place my husband's father and his grandfather would go to get supplies for his family business. So, the interior has old wood floors, neat shelving with knick knacks to look at. You pay at the counter and seat yourself. There are banquet rooms and they do cater. If you choose the salad bar, there are fresh cut toppings, nothing fancy if you are looking for that. It is a pizza place after all! As I briefly mentioned before, I have had the pizza buffet. Many different kinds of pizza to choose from. The slices are big, so you get full quick. Speaking of getting full quick, we got stuffed on our second time here. We got the Tuesday special which was a Specialty Pizza (Normal price) and Joe's Nachos (Free). The total with drinks was about $21 dollars. The nachos are put on a pizza pan and there is no lack of toppings. Such a large portion, this would be an excellent appetizer for a group of 4 easy! Lots of shredded cheese and nacho cheese, chopped pepperoni, bacon, beef...it's loaded! Our specialty pizza we chose was the meat lovers. Pepperoni, beef, ham and bacon all covered this pizza. It's a mouthful with large slices. Two pieces in (with nachos too) and I was spent. Now, I'm a big girl and I was hungry before entering, but seriously after thi,s I was full. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was basically my husband and I there, but I can imagine this place is booming on a evening or weekend. If your out Richmond way and want to check out something local, I say this pizza place is worth your time.

I think Joe's deserves an updated review from me since I'm here so often now. Still my favorite place to eat lunch in Richmond. But now, thanks to their Twitter Tuesday deals, I've tried more that they have to offer other than their pizza lunch buffet. Best breadsticks in town by far. Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and dusted with oregano & parmesan. I still stand by my previous claim that the nachos are the best food bargain in the city. One order of nachos will run you about $6 and will feed a family of 4. They also have great subs and a super friendly staff. Make sure to follow them on twitter @pizza_joes to take advantage of their Twitter Tuesday deals.

I love Joe's yes I do. It's not Mercurio's but hey no place is. But they have definitely found their niche in Richmond. They are located in the Depot district which is definitely my favorite place in all of Richmond due to the history and all the neat buildings and Joe's is right in the heart of it all. They have a huge place and there's plenty of seating. First off the pizza is standard. It's the nachos that keep me and my friends coming back. They are HUGE. They literally fill an entire pizza pan and pile it high and deep. and for around 6 or 7 bucks. you could feed 4 hungry dudes. They have a good buffet and it is very reasonable also. If your craving pizza and it's not the hours that Mercurio's is open then hit up this place for sure.

Kudos for the unique decoration scheme -- they have knick-knacks all over and they're all for sale, should you see something you like. We weren't blown away by the pizza. It was good, but not something we'd go out of our way for. We just had a straight-up cheese pizza, so maybe the combos are more enticing.

Stopped here on our way home from Indy. It was the perfect place for our family of seven! The owner was very gracious and helpful. The pizza was excellent as was the salad bar. And when the bill arrived we were pleasantly surprised. Feeding a crew this size can be $$$$. Very cool atmosphere and the Garlic butter alone was worth the drive. Thanks again we won't forget Joes pizza.
