Soup is great. Price is slightly high but appropriate for the quality. The place falls short in logical flow of service. Seven people on the counter and you can barely get one person out the door every 3-5 minutes? Make sure you are first in line when you show up, or be prepared for an undeserved wait.

Soup and soup selection was really good. 4 cheese sandwich was very underwhelming and definitely not worth the price. Wait time was way too long for pre-made soup and a microwave sandwich. Over 11 dollars for a cup of soup, cheese sandwich, and drink. If I do return it will be for soup only which I thought was above average.

Zoup! is a unique concept that is needed here in South Bend. It serves a variety of hot soups rotated constantly into their available 12 pots. There are plenty of sandwich places in town, but this is the only place that primarily serves soup. Opening it just as winter begins is perfect, few things are as enjoyable as a nice warm bowl of soup in this weather. The place is rather small, and it feels a bit cramped because they are trying to squeeze as many seats as possible into it. They anticipate that they'll be popular enough to need all those seats, and for a typical grape rd - main st lunchtime they are right. Your experience would be markedly better if you avoid weekday noons. I have only tried one soup: the lobster bisque, and it was great. So great that I purposely returned a couple of days later just to get another taste. It's slightly on the pricy side for a bowl of soup, but the quality makes up for it. There are actual diced pieces of lobster in it! All in all it's good. As in most new restaurants it takes time until they figure out the best way to run things for a particular location. For me the food is good enough for a four-star rating. We'll see if it's consistent enough to be rated better in the future.

I've had zoup 3 times now since they have opened and I think that would give me a good enough sample to make my review. Each time I went to Zoup I sampled a few of there soups. Most of them were very comforting and delicious as you would expect it to be. Very flavorful. Rich and was ready in no time. My one major complaint is a lack of visuals to go along with the "sandwiches" I had ordered one to go with my soup and was quite disappointed when it turned out to be a wrap instead of a sandwich. The Variety was good, the Staff was friendly, the place was very clean, and the price seemed about what you would expect for soup and a sandwich, especially when you compare them to places like Panera.

Tried Zoup for the first time and the ladies were really polite and helpful. I lived the fact that you can sample any and all of the soups. I ended up getting the chicken pot pie soup and it was amazing! Definitely a nice place to get lunch.

Would you ever pay $8+ for a can of soup? If you answered yes then head on over to Zoup! or skip it and save yourself the cash. I tried the lobster bisque which is supposed to be the best around...far from it! The soup hardly had any lobster and the little lobster in it was clearly from a can and tasted nothing like fresh cracked lobster. My fiancé' got chicken potpie and that tasted like someone went in back and emptied a can of Progresso into her bread bowl. I'd say skip it and stay home, the place is so small you'll have more room on your couch!

Decided to grab some take out after a cold night of trick or treating. The place was busy but the employees were hustling. I was immediately offered a sample of any soup I would like to try. I ordered an XL of chicken pot pie soup and 3 whole sandwiches. There was a wait but I didn't order on line first. The employee thanked me for being so patient. Nice staff. I think it was the manager that came over and apologized that they didn't have quite enough soup for a full XL and asked if it was okay if he gave me an added cup of another kind. I had no problem with that and ordered some Tomato Basil. Everything was packaged nicely and the soup containers were taped so they didn't spill in transit, which I appreciated. When I got home I realized he actually gave me an XL of the Tomato Basil instead of just a cup, which was nice. The food was very good and well put together. My total was 34 dollars. We ended up only eating half of the sandwiches and had soup left over, giving us two meals. Sure the extra soup I was given is a bonus but still there is a second meal. That works out to be about 17 bucks a meal for 3 people. I don't see how that is expensive at all. Will definitely visit again.

Soups are watery when they are suposed to be nice and creamy like the clam chowder. Then oddly enough the potato cheddar was like eating g potatoes au gratin. Very disappointed. Will not be back.

Stopped here on our way to Michigan for the weekend for some lunch. I was surprised that this establishment was mainly focused on soups. I do love soup; however, I never find it quite filling as a full meal. I ordered the choose two which is similar to Panera Bread. I decided on chicken noodle soup and the three cheese pesto sandwich with a side of sour dough bread. The bread was amazing and left me longing for more! The soup was pretty good and loaded with everything but noodles it seemed like... Sort of odd. The sandwich was decent; however, there was too much pesto. I didn't find it too be that great. My boyfriend ordered the turkey club I believe which he stated that it wasn't anything special. Too much mayo and toppings rather than meat. He did note that the bread tastes great and he also enjoyed his Caesar salad. I would probably come back to Zoup again if I found myself in the area. The staff was courteous and helpful and restaurant was clean and fast service.

The staff was surprisingly not friendly. I was expecting that over-the-top customer service you get at places like Panera & Jimmy Johns. Not here. & the food wasn't great. The bacon on my turkey club wasn't even good. How do you mess up bacon? I will say the bread was delicious. And to top it off, I got my order to-go, and I get home and my order was wrong. I bring it back to get it fixed and they wouldn't comp it for the trouble. Wow, I hope that $6.75 was worth losing a customer over.

The food is OK at best and the service was atrocious. I waited over 20 minutes for a veggie wrap and when I made my displeasure known to the cashier, they shrugged it off. Manager thought that messing around with employees was more important that customer service.

I am only giving 2 stars because the chicken Toscana sandwich was tasty and the workers were polite. But having said that, I was disappointed with the wait, the soup wasn't as fantastic as I would think a place called Zoup! Would be, and now that I am finished eating my half sandwich and upgraded soup, I am wondering if I will be full for the rest of my workday or not. And I spent $12.00 for lunch. To feed my family at Zoup! It would be well over $50 for microwave soup and toaster oven sandwiches.

Over priced for reheated soup and toaster oven sandwiches. 2 sandwhiches and 2 side soups 25$ then a 30 min wait....not worth it then to top it off by the time I got my soup it was cold and my wife's was the wrong kind

I have been to Zoup a few times now and have not been disappointed. Being able to taste the soups before choosing is awesome. I love this place, the staff is very friendly, bathrooms clean, dining area, while a bit small is comfortable with a variety of seating choices. I think it's my new favorite place.

Friendly servers, great variety - especially for vegetarians and dairy-free friends! Short wait. Not busy.
