Ate here Sunday April 19th,early evening. No waiting, busy but not crowded. Had a western omelet, extra egg, traded the ham for bacon ,the tomato for mushrooms. No hassle or extra charges , which was very welcome. Came in a timely fashion, waitress was dedicated and hospitable, decent. The two of us ate a very satisfying breakfast meal for less than $16,truly a miracle in this age of corporate greed and crappy food .We did not have coffee, by the way. Laughed at McDonalds across the way the whole meal.

Solid choice for a sandwich..I Had the Reuben and it was dynamite. Soup was so so. It was supposed to be red pepper bisque but it tasted like someone accidentally dumped cream of chicken and tomato soup together in the same pot. My daughters club wrap was really good and my son loved his burger. Service was friendly and things like drink refills, check delivery happened when they should.

Tradewinds is a modest and relatively inexpensive diner serving good food. If not for the marine-themed interior and the ad-covered mug they serve their coffee in, this place is forgettable. However, their food quality has always been consistent and I don't remember ever being disappointed. Most of the items on the menu are priced below $10, and for that cost the food is definitely worth it. This is the kind of place you visit when you're hungry, want to sit in a comfy booth, and not think too much about what fancy food to order.

Nasty. Ordered Chopped Steak w/ Hollandaise. Swimming in grease. The side, Ham w/ bean soup, arrived w/ the meal, rather than prior. Watery and the beans were undercooked.

A pretty good breakfast spot! I always get their potato pancakes as a side and it is so good!

My husband and I stopped in for a quick breakfast and Tradewinds offers your standard breakfast fare. My husband started with a Bloody Mary (I was impressed they served cocktails), but it was not very exciting - just tomato juice and vodka (which was fine with him). I ordered a skillet with potatoes, scrambled eggs and a slice of melted cheese which was ok. I honestly don't even remember what my husband ordered, which is unusual for us. We'll stick with our other favorite breakfast joints!

One of my favorite places for breakfast. I go often for coffee and work. Wonderful place to have a meeting and a good conversation.

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast (any time of day). Service is excellent as is all of the food. My favorites here are the Biscuits & Gravy, Pancakes & Omelets.

I wasn't too fond of my Eggs Benedict, but my husband's Country Fried Steak was spot on. The pancakes were soft and fluffy and our server couldn't have been more helpful. Coffee was hot, fresh, and did not have a bitter taste. I would definitely would go back.

I was only in town for the weekend for my family reunion and I ate here atleast 3 times. The food was delicious and they were open late night. The staff there were always friendly even 1 morning when me and about 20 of my family members came to have breakfast. Oh I forgot to mention they serve beer & wine also. I wish this place was in Atlanta I would eat here on the regular.

This is my all time personal favorite local restaurant!! I eat here at least once a week & it is worth every trip! The two best waitresses they have are Cindi & Haley hands down!! They go above & beyond to get anything & everything you may require to have a superb dinning experience. I feel like family here & will continue to come as often as I can! They have the best grilled cheese in town in my opinion!! They also serve excellent french toast & biscuits & gravy as well. I love the atmosphere & the friendship & fellowship that follows :)

My second time here. I have to say it is overall pretty good. Servers take a little while to get to the table but I am a server and understand. The coffee cups could be larger, I drink it fast and they aren't around to fill it often enough. B&G are great. Food comes out fairly fast even on a busy Sunday. Great place for breakfast.

Yum! Best breakfast menu in town. The servers are always friendly and accommodating, and the food is always hot and tasty. The coffee compares to nothing else. It is the best. Other restaurant should be ashamed of the crap they serve, and would be if they ever compared their coffee to this place. I will definitely be back...especially for more coffee.

This restaurant wouldn't even be on my last resort list. The dining room is dingy and it's dirty and the food is just horrible. My mom and I both ordered the stir fry and it had so obviously come from the frozen food aisle that it was laughable. The only saving grace to our experience that day was the waitress. She was very kind and understanding and comped our meal for us. Would not eat here again.

Good meal for a good price! Plus these people are like family to me. When you're done eating, go to the bar next door, cool place!

Tradewinds has delicious food and great service without the pretentious atmosphere of a chain restaurant. Their menu has a lot of great choices that never disappoint, and the decor is really comfortable and homey.

Worst run restaurant ever. Manager and her son have zero ethics with regard to how they treat employees. The karma shows in the food. Do not eat here, do not give them your business if you have any soul whatsoever.

A great, no-nonsense diner with excellent breakfast dishes served all day. They have the best gravy in the town.

The French toast here is amazing! It's a generous portion and has that great homemade taste. My husband had the country fried steak, he wasn't a fan...but he did enjoy the biscuits and gravy.

If you want to pig out and eat a ton of sub-mediocre fattening food, this is the place for you. If you want to eat something healthy at a decent price go somewhere else. I got an egg beater omelet with onions, green peppers, and broccoli. There was barely a trace of any of the vegetables, and it cost $8. I had to pay $1.25 extra for the broccoli, even though I didn't get any of their mandatory sides with the meal. I once got the prime rib at dinner. It was a bloody piece of disgusting meat. I thought it was undercooked, quickly found out no, that's just what they have. I have tried this place several times and I am done. This isn't even a diner, as diners have personality.

Love the menu selection... From spaghetti to Eskimo waffles. The food is very much diner food, but I've always liked this place

This is a similiar to Honkers in the area - great place for breakfast but they have great lunch and dinner items as well. The staff is great and the portions are very big especially for breakfast. Give it a chance!

  • Daniel S.

Decent food at a reasonable price ... pretty much what you'd expect out of the type of establishment, except with beer, which I found surprising. Recommend for going out with mom and pop.

Unfortunately, the previous reviewers were all too correct: Service is just not good here. I went back for the same meal I had the first time and a young lady refused to write down my order requests. It was as if this was a contest as to how much she could recall without pen and paper. Well, I lost. I also tried the breakfast in a morning visit. Very competent service, but rather unfriendly. Worse, the food was as bland as can be. How do you even make tasteless butter?! A first for me. The bacon was left over from the previous day and microwaved. This server fought me when I asked for a white (bigger) cup for my coffee (which is outstanding). Ten minutes later, as soon as another customer came in, she handed him a white cup without asking! She wouldn't look at me. So, I am revising the rating to 2 stars. It's a sub-par Dennys which, every once in awhile, may surprise. But, if you basically just need a good place to sit with awesome coffee, this place would work.

Busy Sunday morning but the service was good and breakfast was made exactly to order even with a couple of special requests! Hard to beat for the money. Thumbs up!
