I don't understand the 1-star reviews. It's gotta fall in the 3-5 range regardless how you feel about Chinese food or buffets in general. There's a ton of steam table options (Chinese & American) as well as a sushi bar, a made-to-order grill, and a dessert table. The food ranges from OK to very good. The place appears clean and well maintained. You can be eating lunch within 5 minutes of arrival, and leave stuffed for under $8 (with internet coupon). So what's not to like?

My husband and I love it here. He loves the grill and i just get a little of this and that. The sushi is great too. There has only been one time that I have been put off by the food because it was old, but any other time it has been great!

Food was not good, a lot of the hibachi meat had way to much cumin, like something that should have been served as taco meat instead of a Chinese dish. To top things off some of the food was cold. I will not be back, extremely disappointed! Looks like I'll pick something up on the way home

Awful place, avoid at all costs. I've eaten here twice. The first time was unimpressive. I actually ate nothing but the sushi, which was not very flavorful, but satisfied my appetite for the stuff. The rest of the buffet just looked kind of shady, like your typical junky Chinese buffet food. I saw the grill section and thought it looked interesting, but took a pass. Second time was even worse. A lot of the sushi was dry and had, in retrospect, been sitting out for quite some time. The rest of the buffet food was practically inedible. I actually got something from the grill section, but that actually *was* inedible. The flavors were awful, and to top it off, both my brother and I got sick from this place. I really think the price is high for what you're getting, which is barely fit for human consumption.

I don't see how people have high expectations when it's comes to ANY buffet - period. Yes, I have been guilty of going to them but I'm not always expecting the cleanest environment nor the finest dining experience. Overall, this buffet is kind of obnoxious when it comes to the overall environment. Kids all over the place and rude teeneagers.

In short, I've never been at a restaurant that made me want to upchuck upon entering the premises. It's overcrowded, poorly ventilated, and I wouldn't be surprised if the food isn't the catalyst for several cases of food poisoning in the midwest. And the bathrooms -- dont even get me started. Let's just say they clearly do not have a staff to check in on it regularly. I am generally a fan of buffets, but just about everything looked either unappetizing, or like it had been sitting out for far too long and had just begun to cake over. It's definitely cheap, but I'm positive you can get a better meal at McDonalds or the Local Steak + Shake. If I wasn't there for a "farewell dinner" for a colleague, I would have left right away.

I know that the idea behind a buffet is quantity over quality, but this is some of the worst food I have eaten. I am also aware of the joke about Chinese food smelling bad, but I've eaten Chinese food from many places and love it. Not here. Not only does it smell weird here, but it's sub-cafeteria quality in the flavor. The so-called (sub-)prime rib was dry and some weird shade of brown, not red. I don't know WTF it was, but it wasn't from any animal I'd recognize. Everything had a strange, plastic aftertaste. I'm now in fear that I may wake some morning with a third arm growing out of my back. Plus, when I had asked for a knife, the girl got me one from God knows where, wiped it off (out of sight) and gave it to me. I could see streaks on the blade from a previous user's meal. This place may even frighten Gordon Ramsay. Will I return? Probably not, unless I lose a bet to someone whom I despise and the wager is a meal. But, then, I might just buy them a gift card from there and tell them they're on their own.

DO NOT EVER GO THERE! I got food poisoning from eating there and almost ended up in the hospital... all the day before my birthday. Thanks to them I was sick and couldn't celebrate. I could barely eat or drink anything for almost three days. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED...

Well, what do you expect? The sushi bar had no actual fish in any of the offerings, just fake crab and some tiny roe on the outside of the rolls. Great place to go if you have the munchies or are depressed/stoned or have eating issues.Clams are what i focussed on, but the mussels they have are served cold, not good.If you have a few hours, and a large gut/family, this is the place for you.Tip the help, they do seem to work very hard.

I am a fan of our area Chinese buffets, and have a real appreciation for the primarily hard working and friendly Asian and Hispanic staff. The food is varied, plentiful, and overall pretty good. You may not like everything, but with so many options you'll find favorites. It's hard to imagine turning a profit with the low price points. We need to support small businesses such as this. I believe it's a superior alternative to fast food.

So we went to try it out HORROBLE no greating when you come in poor service and rude asked for a knife and was pointed to the direction where to get it. Obviously she isn't working for her tip which was not given on the cell and drinking little bottles of milk out in the open food was empty and dry. the grill area dirty look at the sides of the grill greasy the glass can't see threw and the person who manned the station came out from the back did not wash his hands no apron or hair restraint and dirty looking walked away health department needs to do a surprise inspection

I come here for the stir fried crab. If it is not there I become so sad because that is the only reason I go. I usually eat about 3 plates of those yummy crab halves. Stir fried with onions, salt and pepper, and I think jalapeños. Other than that they have a lot of choices but it is your typical Chinese buffet fare.

For the price, it was not bad. $7.50 per person, had a lot of salmon and tilapia mixes with lettuce and spinach. Other food looked greasy so did not have any but person I was with loved everything so guess it was alright. Definitely a lot better than a mcds/bk/wendys for about the same price of a meal.

Not sure how to rate this place. Ate there a few weeks ago, the food was really good, had a nice variety, and for a buffet was actually hot ... you could even see steam coming off the buffet stations. However, last week there was a news story the place was closed down due to health violations, one of which was cockroaches. When I googled them I found they have had numerous violations over the last 3 years. I'm not sure what to think of that, I mean I really liked their food, but now I'm just a little nervous to eat there again ...

What I expect to see when I visit any buffet, whether Chinese, Japanese, or American, is a variety of food choices. Hibachi Grill does just that, "with over 250 items on their buffet bar to include all of your traditional Chinese dishes and a few specialty items such as Hibachi chicken, beef tenderloin, & Italian shrimp".

This place is great! It has the normal buffet problem though where if you go when it is not some what busy the food gets cold. I have seen people complain about it not being clean. It's always clean when I have gone. As for not speaking English. Well that just means that the people cooking the food know what they are doing. Love the food and the price isn't bad either. Give it a try!

This Hibachi is cleaner and seems to be run a little better than other local buffets, but the food isn't all that great. The sushi is my favorite part. Yum!

Been there a bunch of times and it keeps getting worst everytime, will not go back. Service sucks food trays empty, and ever notice people walking around with a white container filling and eating at the food bar, he'll one night I seen a person fill it three times. Food crumbs slobber and the help just walked around them said nothing.

When I start a review by talking about the desserts that is not saying too much about this place.then to say that the desserts were just okay is sad. The sushi was mediocre at best and the rest of the buffet fare was bland, fatty greasy, and basically barely edible. If that's your thing, you might like this place. I now remember why I do not go to buffets. If I had to say something positive about the place, it was clean, inexpensive, and well stocked.

What I like best about this place is that it has a huge variety of choices. Not only that, it is pretty affordable. Be sure to print the $1.50 coupon if you are going for dinner (they have one for lunch, too). You can find it at michianasaver.com/hibach… Our coupon was outdated, but they still honored it.

We ate here twice this summer: Once on our way to Iowa. And again on our way back from Iowa. They have good cream cheese and avocado sushi. And plenty of other vegetarian hot food items too. I plan to eat here again, because I travel through this area a couple time per year. And it is nice to know of a local place, where I like to eat.

I'm really a chinese buffet snob and I love this place, so I'm sure you will too! When I first saw that this place is OBVIOUSLY in an old Circuit City building, I chuckled and thought it might be cheesy, but it looks like just about any other chinese buffet on the inside. A nice little fountain at the entrance and quite spacious, but PACKED. I found it a little unnerving that they make you pay before you eat, or even before you can go look at the bar, but I wasn't disappointed once I went in. They have a HUGE variety of food, a great selection of sushi (though I wish they had seaweed salad just by itself instead of in the little rice-filled wontons). I was also surprised to see they have apple juice (with refills)! One of my favorite items was what they call "Egg Biscuit Cake," looks a little weird at first, a sort of squishy egg custard biscuit in a light, crispy wonton cup. It's mildly sweet and very delicious. I ate two and then wrapped two more in a napkin for later! Their "prime rib" was good too. I wouldn't consider it prime rib, really, I would consider it to be more like roast beef, but I liked the cut of meat better than what they called "roast beef." All in all, I walked away super stuffed and almost sad that I couldn't possibly eat more. The food was great, and with a drink it only cost me about $12.

You come to expext a certain level of quality when you go to a buffet. Hibachi always meets or exceeds that. Not the best I've had of any one item. Face it, you went to the buffet for a huge selection and lare portions of food. Like any buffet, yiou learn to avoid the items that obviously need to be rotated out. Decent food for a good price. Thsi place does that. If they would remove the fish tank up front I think many people's complaints about the "smell" would go away.

I love hibachi. I'm a huge Asian food and seafood fan. I love their selection, I love that they switch up the seafood. One day their serving this Asian lightly breaded shrimp, and the next day their serving this hand breaded calamari. And OMGosh this is the best calamari or octopus I've ever had. Hibachi is a step up from some other Chinese/Japanese/American buffets that I've been to. They carry all the same foods you'd find at other Asian buffets, and more. Habachi is an awesome deal.

They were shut down for five days due to all of their critical violations from the food department. If this doesn't say it all I don't know what will. Gross

We can't believe we haven't checked in or written a review! We've been here a few times with friends and family. A good place for large groups at an affordable price. A typical asian buffet but they have lots of options.
