This is a great place to stop & chat! This is an oftimes overlooked location- there is no drive-thru here, but the friendly baristas & excellent brews make it must stop! On the down side, the only Vegan food option is the oatmeal. Make it made only with soy & add ALL the toppings for a hearty meal!

Really terrible service at this location. After I waited a very long time to get my drink and I was waiting on my friends, about 6 more people walked in the store when one of the two employees working went into the back for a few minutes. And then another employee returned from what I assumed was a break and then began to say some demanding remarks to the only person actually making coffees before she then walked into the back. Will not be returning to this Starbucks anytime soon. There are two others within one mile of here.

It's a Starbucks in a hotel, which is a little misleading, as it's also the nearest to the highway. Service was slow, even for just a few beverages. Instead of toasting your bagel for you. they have a toaster set up on a table in the dining area - weird. All of their handicap accessible tables are also obscured (one hosts the toaster and the other is pushed against the wall, making it seating for only one -- because God forbid someone in a wheelchair has a friend?). Convenient stop, but I'd rather go a few miles down 30 into Merrillville proper for a better experience.

Really disappointed today. They were out of almost every sandwich that they claim to be "Hot & Available All Day". While the cashier was pleasant it still didn't make up for me not not getting what I came for.

Staff is always friendly and quick. Never much of a wait which is nice when stopping on the way into the office or a quick break. Spacious seating area is inviting for staying awhile if meeting friends and colleagues.

Stopped into this Starbucks before getting on I-65 to head back towards Chicago. I ordered my coffee and as an afterthought asked for a little cup of water for my dog who was riding with me. They gave me a little cup of water and a bowl. Very nice and polite!

Some might avoid this location as there is no drive-thru; however, you will miss out on the quick and friendly service that awaits inside. Stop by and be kind to the baristas.

KInd of a strange store. I like whole milk with my tea and had to specially request it. I was not allowed to pour the milk into my own cup of tea due to internal regulations. It was the first and only time I've ever heard it. The lack of a drive through doesn't make any different to me.

I specifically get out of the car on this one just because the service is so great. The manager, is always so pleasant, and willing to serve. For some reason, the coffee here taste better than all the other local Starbucks!

Let me first state that I have a slight bias concerning this starbucks, I worked there for 2 years. This is an older store so it has some personality, unlike the new cookie cutter stores, and it was recently remodeled, so there should be slightly less burnt/crusty milk coating everything behind the bar. The service before I left was really good, but maybe that's because everyone there knew me. I really don't recommend hanging out there, because the food selection is poor, the wifi isn't free, and there are often large groups hogging the tables outside (where you get to watch traffic go by, woo hoo). One good thing though is that this starbucks doesn't attract the large crowd of little teens being obnoxious, it's usually an older, more mature crowd.
