I went on a father's day family "brunch." I had biscuits and gravy; portion was big but there were more biscuits (6) than gravy. Breakfast menu had 10 items (all meals) but nothing that can be ordered as sides; I would have liked some bacon or sausage with the biscuits and gravy, so I didn't think meal was fulfulling. I had tenderloin at the other Grill and that was very good, but as we arrived at 11 am today, that was too early for me. No smoking (a big plus) and service was good and prompt. There are also pictures of some Indy 500 cars on the walls, including the first winner at our table.

Great service. Nice menu. Kids loved it. Wanted to go back there the next day. So we did.

I have eaten here 5 or 6 times this summer. The best American food I have found in the area. Prices give a good value for the $$. Try the fried chicken on the lunch. Excellent portion size and flavor. Other things good as well.

We've been here several times and the quality is declining rapidly. For starters, our appetizer was burnt. We had fajitas. The steak slices were not cut thin enough and we're tough. The waitstaff seemed nice.

I like this restaurant because it is locally owned. However, the prices are too high for the area. I also did not like them bringing out my Spanish rice in Saran Wrap. Was it premade?!?!? Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it is burnt. Sometimes the staff is attentive and sometimes it takes over an hour to get your food with no explanation from the staff. I used to love family ight but the magician is no longer there, that is the only reason we went to family night.

I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was pretty good. At just over $7 I would consider this place a great value. In my opinion it's one of the best places to eat in the area.

One word: ribs. They are outstanding, perhaps the best in the city. But while I'm at it, let me brag about their burgers and onion rings. I've never had a bad meal or a bad experience at the Grill 2.

My wife and I live within walking distance and we go here about once a month. We both really enjoy their ribs and onion rings. The ribs are smoked perfectly and are very meaty. The Onion rings definitely are breaded fresh and fried just right. The salads are just ok but everything else is great.

Place sucks!! 45 minutes later got my steak special that was worse than beef jerkey from gas stations.

I've been contemplating a visit to The Grill 2 for quite awhile, but it seems like every time I'm in the area I decided that something else familiar sounds better. I have a friend who runs a trivia night here and I'd committed to myself that I'd finally make it here. Today was the perfect day. It's a cold and windy Valentine's Day and I was in the mood for some quiet time, a decent meal, and reading. So, I headed up to The Grill 2, a sister restaurant to "The Grill." "The Grill 2" is located in a small strip center with more vacancies than businesses. There's only one curb cut, directly in front of a hilarious spa/pedicure place that has a sign on their door "gift certicats available." "The Grill 2" advertises itself as family friendly and there's essentially two sides to the place - one is a bar area where you must be 21 to enter and the other side a family friendly dining area decorated in a red/black color combo with a few televisions on the wall and some bluesy music playing overhead. At the time I arrived, mid-afternoon and definitely off-prime time, I noticed only two other parties in the dining area and staff was clearly getting ready for the planned Valentine's Day dinner crowd. The Grill 2 has a nicely varied menu including pizza, burgers, chicken, a variety of sandwiches, a bunch of appetizers, beer & other liquors, and even desserts. After leaning toward a burger, I opted to try what they called the "World's Best Tenderloin" and added fries for $1.99 (it comes with chips). I also added my usual unsweetened iced tea and the entire meal ran a little over $14. While it's hard for me to imagine The Grill 2 warranting a one-star rating (as has been awarded here on some occasions), I can definitely see where its service could be slow at times. I was there at an off-time and still found service to be friendly, mostly attentive, but not particularly the kind of service that makes you want to start scheduling your next visit. That said, the basics were covered and I was happy throughout my visit. The food? The World's Best Tenderloin isn't the world's best Tenderloin. In fact, it's not even Indy's best tenderloin, though it is certainly an impressive tenderloin and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The major issue I had with it was the bun, which seemed like your generic sandwich bun and added a touch of blandness to an otherwise flavorful piece of meat that was enjoyable if not particularly outstanding. The french fries were good, sort of lightly seasoned and nicely flavored. That said, I didn't think they were worth the $1.99 add-on and I'd likely stick with potato chips the next time around. The iced tea was good and I did get one refill. Everything about my experience at The Grill 2 was good, but not great. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, appreciated the service, and enjoyed the meal but didn't have anything that would truly make me think to myself "I have to go back." It's the kind of place I wouldn't hesitate to visit again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so.

Absolutely love this place! We go here frequently and almost always order the same thing. The steak and ribs combo is fantastic. Ribs fall off the bone and steak is always tender with great flavor. Even the salad is wonderful!

I've been to the Grill and the Grill 2 many times and the G2 food quality is just not the same as G1. Went last night and had the Breaded Tenderloin. It was ok but I got the fries at an up charge of 1.99, tiny fries! My wife's salad was not good. The wait staff is friendly but they cannot make up for mediocre food. Go to the Grill at 79th and Fall Creek.

I will definitely never be back to this place, ever! Every single time I go in there the service is AWFUL! Not only is it impossible to get drink refills but the food takes 45 minutes or more, absolutely ridiculous. The last time I went in there we has a server who could barely speak English waiting on us so she had no idea what we were saying, nothing against her but it's a little frustrating trying to give someone who doesn't understand you a food order.

The wait is a little long. I went there the other day and there weren't too many people but my date and I waited a good twenty minutes. Maybe there were a lot of people in the bar? Well whatever the reason, the food was still very well prepared.

I had dinner there last night 9/24/2013 I ordered a grilled tenderloin sandwich. It was pretty bad over cooked dry and tuff and lots of gristle. The waitress asked if everything was ok. We said yes, I really did not want to wait for them to cook an other sandwich. I did not eat lunch that day, so I was very hungry. I've ordered this meal before two other times. Out of the three times two were bad. Not sure i would recommend this meal. Very disappointed!

Homemade comfort and traditional food. FANTASTIC soups, magnificent breaded tenderloins, home-made chicken tenders and OUTRAGEOUS onion rings! The best part of The Grill 2- family friendly, non-smoking, reasonably priced. Truly one of the best tenderloin's EVER! Great happy hour 1/2 price appetizer specials, daily drink specials and original daily specials. We are so exicted to have a great restaurant near our home! Cool side note, the owner is an Indycar fan & sponsor! Great racing atmosphere.

Don't let the looks of this place scare you away. It's nothing special but the food is always good. Their ribs are the best I've ever had anywhere!!! The portion is huge...always enough to take home for two more meals. You have to try the ribs!!!!
