Eat your heart out, Huddles! Yoya's where it's at. Unlike my first venture into the bear trap at Huddles, the guy working at Yoya greeted me and my boyfriend right away and immediately asked us if we'd ever been there before. He was informative, helpful, and friendly while not being overbearing - perfecto! The environment is very clean and the decor is bright, cheerful, and modern. There is plenty of comfortable seating (chairs and a few couches) for small parties, but if you've got a moderate group of hooligans with you, you may want to get yours to go. I tried a mix of vanilla, cake batter, peanut butter, and dulce de leche because I am an adult and dinner is what I say it is. There is a good mix of toppings available both for those who want healthier options as well as those who want diabetes, like, five minutes ago. Fruit, candy, and various syrups are at your disposal, so knock yourself out! I was extremely impressed by the service, which was a total 180 from the glassy-eyed apathy I experienced at Huddles. The staff was warm and personable, the fro-yo was delicious, and the atmosphere upbeat without being loud or annoying. I'll definitely be back to try their bubble teas and I hope they continue their outstanding service well into the future.

I really wanted to like this place, mostly because I love bubble tea and smoothies, but it's just not that good. There has to be better places in Indianapolis. I tried the smoothie the first time I went and I did not like the texture at all, it was more like a slushie. It was okay, just not good. Today I had the mango tea. First of all they were "out of the black tapiocas" which is the entire point. The flavored boba they put in the yogurt did not cut it. The tea itself had an odd texture and I could not taste the mango at all. The tea overwhelmed the drink and it was not a good tasting tea. I threw it out with about 75% of it remaining. The yogurt is fine, very limited flavors. There are many, many self serve frozen yogurt places in this city that have more flavors and better flavors. I just do not see a reason to ever go back here.

This place is the most precious place ever to precious. What sets it apart from your average froyo spot is that it also offers, smoothies, coffee, and bubble tea, which I say yes to all of them. Just got back from a 5K run and decided that the best way to treat myself was with a nice strawberry mango smoothie. Soooo good.

While I can't write about their Bubble tea as I'm not a fan, I can write about their Frozen Yogurt. They had the average amount of flavors but they had some unique ones, including one I have never seen, salted caramel corn. I like the unique flavors and this one was awesome! They had graham cracker which was my favorite choice. The worker cam up and offered me some samples and got them for me which is some nice service too. They had a lot more fruit and nut toppings than most places as well so no one can complain about healthiness of toppings. Really nice place!

In a world where chain fro yo places seem to come and go on almost a weekly basis, Yoya still remains. I'd like to think my weekly trips during Ironman training have something to do with it, but I am pretty confident it's there phenomenal milk bubble teas, frozen yogurt flavors and fresh toppings. With flavors like Thai, Chai, Jasmine, Red Bean and more common fruit flavors, their milk tea are made to order and are delicious. While milk bubble teas may seem like a foreign item for us Hoosier, the staff person working at Yoya mentioned to us that the bubble teas are actually more popular that the yogurt and that they get a lot of regulars because of it. I for one am a frozen yogurt toppings aficionado, specifically when it comes to Boba and mocha, and Yoya does not disappointed. They always have at least four flavors of Boba (blueberry, passion fruit, mango and strawberry on my most recent visit) and have mochi that's most likely made on site based on its softness. The place is very inviting with seating inside and out. While it can take some time for your milk bubble teas or smoothie order, you can pass the time playing football on the Kinect for Xbox 360 (It can all so make for some great people watching). Come for the frozen yogurt but be sure to get adventurous and try the milk tea, it's sure to not disappointed.

Fool me once, shame on YOU! That's it, I'm unsure if I'm going to let them fool me twice. I was a big advocate for Yoya--if anyone was in that general area, I had always suggested it to friends. As of my experience last Sunday, I had the other half of my Groupon to use, so stopped by with my husband and 2 best friends for some smoothies and boba teas. I ordered a Taro Milk Tea Shake with extra boba, because I'm absolutely addicted to tapioca. They said, "Here's your Thai Tea Shake with extra boba." I should've just taken the Thai Tea but I really had my tummy set on Taro? So of course, I just said I had ordered a Taro... Apparently that was a mistake because then after the rest of my party got their orders and so did 2 other customers after me, I realized the workers had gone back to just cleaning their area and just back to looking at their phones... I just walked up to them and asked if I could get my Taro shake with boba, and the worker says, "Oh yeah, I guess you were forgotten...." And then proceeded to STILL make the wrong thing, this time, a Taro Milk Tea with Ice and Boba. I took it and moved on, but it was NOT good, and I was just unhappy with the entire experience. Maybe when I go back, IF I go back the next time... an updated review will be necessary. But it's just sad that I was treated poorly when they got the order wrong... :( Tears.

Love this place and their bubble teas! Sure they have great froyo and a nice variety of flavors, but I always come for the bubble tea! It's hard to find, and not only do they have it, they have plenty I'd flavor options - including my favorites (taro and Thai tea). Plus, they're open late and they are always so nice! :) HIGHLY recommended!

Awesome bubble tea. I'm from Boston, and never thought I'd ever be able to find quality bubble tea in the Midwest. Their yogurt is great, too!

I am glad that I discovered another (fairly) new self-serve frozen yogurt shop. Yoya certainly gives Huddles a run for their money. The feel of the shop is very different than other yogurt places. The seating is varied and comfortable. They have televisions, video games, and even a modern-looking sofa that could probably seat five people. The staff was excellent! They greet their customers with a smile, and will approach you with several sample cups -- without having to be asked. The yogurt offerings are excellent. They always feature popular flavors (no sugar added vanilla, chocolate, and a fruity choice), but also rotate more obscure offerings on a weekly basis. Personally, I thought the sea salt caramel pretzel was amazing. I may still be dreaming about it! The toppings are plentiful, and they have more than 50 selections. I found the price to be on par with other self-serve yogurt shops. I was also pleased to find out that Yoya has a frequent visitor program. Instead of using a stamp card system, customers can enter their phone number upon each purchase. After so many purchases, the customer is eventually able to get a $5 discount coupon. Yoya: Well done! You have earned my business.

my favorite is Jasmine and Thai bubble tea, i usually add extra tapioca for 75cent. The drink reminds me of the foreign bubble tea in Viet Nam, definitely recommend if you want authentic bubble tea.

Very good bubble tea. I had the green tea flavor with traditional tapioca bubbles, but there are many other flavors of tea available and also the fruity capsules in place of tapioca balls. The girl behind the counter was really nice and while my tea finished (the lid machine had to warm-up, I think) she offered me samples of the frozen yogurt (my favorite was the salted caramel) and let me try a few of the blueberry capsules. My tea was under $4 so price is about the same if not a little under most bubble tea shops in the area. The yogurt is sold by weight and you get to put your own toppings on. There are plenty of choices for your average person ranging from healthier (fruit, cereal) to splurges (cookies, brownies, candy bars). Some shops I've been to have 2-3x more yogurt flavors and topping choices...but in my experience those can get a bit disgusting due to all the kids running wild and playing around on the topping bars. Cute decor, very clean, and right next door to Tian Fu. If you want a REALLY happy hour, go eat some half-price sushi rolls from 4-6 then get yourself a frozen treat.

Bubble tea is probably the only sweet thing in life that I absolutely have to have, and while this place is a bit out of the way, I go here quite often to get my fix. The flavors are damn good, despite being powdered mixes. Cleanliness is A+. Decor is cute and bright. I was so stoked that they didn't just have basic fruit flavors, but also taro, red bean, jasmine, et cetera. Much more authentic in terms of product and taro is my shit. SO good. They have traditional tapioca and bursting boba with fruity flavors. It's also in a strip mall with a really, really good Asian restaurant next door (Cantonese?) and by Cirilla's. Kill two birds with one stone, right? Kidding. Sort of. I haven't tried anything else here, but friends have all raved about everything from the froyo to the boba, so I'd definitely say it's a solid place overall. Only complaint would be: do NOT go during rush hour. Holy shit, I live in Broad Ripple and it took over an hour to get there. I mean rush hour is necessary evil, but this is terrible. Completely my fault for not paying attention to the time, but wow, that is an incredibly nerve-wrecking experience under those circumstances. Just avoid the mini-van, suburban 5:00PM rush and you'll be fine.

Come on hoosiers. Boba tea is supposed to be brewed tea that is mixed with milk. It should not come from a bin of powder.

This is now our go to place for boba tea! My husband and I are thrilled we found this place, although it's quite a drive from our house (about 20 min without traffic), but of course we'd make the drive for delicious boba tea! My husband gets the frozen taro with extra boba and I get the Thai iced tea with extra boba and light ice. We haven't tried any other flavors of tea, boba, or froyo, but we will during our next visit (they offer samples!). Also, the place is very clean and the style is very modern. Staff is nice and helpful. I've read the other reviews on here, and Yoya offers the best boba in Indianapolis. Some reviews are so pretentious (like Kelly H's review) comparing Yoya's boba tea to the one she had in Taiwan-- the boba in Taiwan should be better since it was invented there!). So if you're ever on the north side and want to enjoy some froyo or boba, this is the place to go!

  • Kyle J.

This place is the only location on the NW side that offers bubble tea! They have a great spread of drinks like smoothies, coffee, as well as their selection of frozen yogurts. They have an Xbox you can play on or couches to enjoy your dessert!

I love that this place is near work and on route when I do my errands on the weekends. I can pop in for a quick treat. Not many froyo choices like at Yo Joy, but sometimes too many choices are not good. Especially when you are indecisive as I am. So far Salted Carmel Pretzel is by far my favorite. Next on my list to try is their boba tea, which I hope is better than what I've had here in Indy so far.

I'm going to come off as a boba snob here but hey, I'm from SoCal. I've been lucky enough to have had some pretty amazing boba drinks. This place does not even come close. Definitely not good milk tea. Strike one, all their flavors are powdered. Wack. Strike two, some powdered milk teas don't taste that bad...not the case here. The flavor was not good at all. Strike three, the girl who helped me (she had good intentions) treated me like a child. She acted as if I had never seen boba before. She proceeded to explain every little factoid she could about boba to me from what it's made of to how to insert the straw into my drink. Girl...I'm Asian. I drank boba drinks before I even knew how to say boba. Don't mean to be rude, and I understand this may be new to Indianapolis, but at least wait until I ask you for help before you give me the History of Boba 101. I know she didn't mean it but she talked to me like I was stupid. Needless to say...I won't be coming back.

Stopped in for a quick bubble tea after having dinner next door. They have a fairly extensive bubble tea selection (for Indianapolis). They also use a vacuum sealer on the cup which I appreciate (what if I don't want to drink my bubble tea right now?). They have an Xbox Knect right in front so I assume anyone can jump in and play some games if they want to. There are nice comfortable leather couches around for relaxing and enjoying your fro-yo or bubble tea. Seems like a nice place to just relax and read/surf the web on your phone. There are tables on the sidewalk in front if you prefer the great outdoors.

This place is huge and nice. They provide cups to sample and the toppings are plentiful. I wish there were more fresh (fruit & nut) toppings...But thats just me.

A solid bubble tea place. For Indy, pretty top notch. Awesome that they have popping boba and let you try the flavors first. But if you get a milk tea, you get powdered flavor, not fresh fruit or juice. Not sure if the smoothie is the same way. Powdered flavor is not awful, but it doesn't hold a candle to the fresh fruit boba teas from Chicago. The décor is trendy and modern. Several comfy couches and giant TVs. We got ours to go, but this would be a cool place to hang. Free wifi!

I just dropped in the other day while getting my oil changed and they added a red guava smoothie. I asked the calories and he didn't know so he looked at all the ingredients after I told him he did not have to... THEN he was so sweet and made me try the smoothie so that if I wanted to get something else I could. He was extremely kind! Customer service here has always been great!

Yum! Yoya is a brand new business on the NW side, next to Papa Murphey's and Qdoba and Skyline Chili near 86th and Michigan Road. Yoya is a little different than close-ish competitors Huddles or Yo Joy or Orange Leaf. For starters, it's run by a friendly Asian family. Second -- they serve bubble tea! We got: cheesecake, cake batter, and red velvet cake frozen yogurts all mixed up in one cup, and then eurotart and mango in another cup. All of our bites were flavorful, and the second cup was deliciously tart. They have syrups and candies and fruits and everything else you can dream up, too. The lay-out is similar to other yogurt shops but we noticed right away how clean Yoya is. Then again, they're brand new! Hope it stays so spotless. We didn't get bubble tea today but flavors include honeydew, mango, cocconut, papaya, taro, strawberry, vanilla late, watermelon, pineapple, red bean and kiwi. Check it out!

I absolutely love this place! The decor and size is modern and welcoming, and the owners are very friendly. The frozen yogurt is also delicious, and the prices are comparable to the other froyo chains. For me, the thing that separates them from everyone else is the bubble tea! It's hard to find a bubble tea place in this city, and the price is reasonable. I strongly recommend the taro milk flavor!

I really liked Yoya! It was nicely decorated inside and had cute and comfortable couches. The staff were all really friendly and were handing out samples of the yogurt. There were a decent amount of toppings. I didn't get the yogurt though. I tried to coconut bubble tea with tapioca. It tasted great. It was blended good and the tapioca was good as well. There was also a good amount of flavors to choose from. It was the standard for most bubble tea places. Next time I will try the honeydew. My friend got a coconut smoothie which she liked. She said it tasted the same as mine but it was blended thicker like a smoothie. They also had a pretty cool frequent buyers program. Every time you come in you put in your phone number and earn points. I got a text message saying how many I had. Once you get enough you get a free item.

If you're looking for tasteful yogurt flavors & fresh toppings, this is the place! We took our children out for an evening treat & totally didn't miss the crowd (like at Huddles). The service & cafe atmosphere was relaxing, friendly, & welcoming! Surely we have found our desert delights of the summer!

This is now my favorite place for bubble tea! I've been looking for a place that serves the flavored green teas instead of just the milk teas. I'm used to the delicious bubble teas from New York and this place is very close to it! I tried the passion fruit green tea and fell in love! Their frozen yogurts are great too! They have lots of toppings to choose from. The price is reasonable as well.

My favorite Froyo place. They have the best tasting Froyo regardless of flavors they roll out. On average they have about 10 flavors at a time. These flavors change weekly or quicker, but only in sets of like 2-3 changing at a time. Also they have a good split between Frozen Yogurt and and Frozen Sorbet, or at the very least milky vs fruity flavors. They also have unique flavors such as Cotton Candy, Caramel Sea Salt Pretzel, Cake Batter, Snickerdoodle, Pumpkin, etc. Some of the best toppings as well. They have Bobas as well as many fruit, mochi, cheesecake, sprinkles, graham crackers, cereals, etc. They also have many syrups. They are known for their good Bubble Tea. Amazing Customer Service and incredibly friendly. My favorite flavors include: Cake Batter Watermelon Sorbet (Absolute Favorite) Mango Sorbet Pomegranate Raspberry Tart

Yoya is my go-to place for froyo in Indy! The staff is ALWAYS amazing! I'm greeted the moment I walk in and, as soon as I step in front of the yogurt selection, a staff member is right out with sample cups asking if there's anything I'd like to try. Their selection is a little small compared to other places I've been too, 8-10 individual flavors, but they're always good ones. They also have a nice selections of toppings! I have not yet tried the bubble tea or smoothies, but I hear they're delicious! :) Their loyalty program uses the new "spot" cards which I love that so many business are starting to implement! It's one card that you can collect points on at a variety of stores and if you forget it, you just enter in your e-mail! It's convenient and limits wallet/keychain card clutter! I also love that they have couches and an Xbox 360 set up in the corner for the kids to play!

Anytime I've had bubble tea in Indianapolis (I can only count the number of times on one hand), I always end up regretting it because of how awful it is and usually can't even get myself to finish the drink. Cooking tapioca to get it perfectly chewy takes precision and experience. That said, I'm so thrilled to announce that there's finally decedent bubble tea in Indy now! Now, is it the best bubble tea I've ever had? Nope and far from it. (I've had the good stuff in Taiwan, where bubble tea was invented). But will it satisfy my craving while in central Indiana? Yes. I haven't tried the yogurt here since I went only for the tea. While waiting for my drink, I glanced at the flavors and all the toppings, and I will definitely return. (The salted caramel yogurt caught my eye! Mmmmm). Definitely check out this adorable place!

  • Rachel G.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is really friendly and offers free samples right away. They have a rotating menu of flavors, but you can always see updates from their Facebook page of flavors that are offered. I love the toppings they offer, the fruity boba and also the mochi. It's always pure joy coming here.

  • Kati G.

The staff is really nice -- they offered samples, and when I didn't like the bubble tea flavor I got, they insisted on making me a new one gratis! (It was better, but it turns out I'm not much of a bubble tea person. Nevertheless, I think if you're into bubble tea, you'll probably be into this place.) The yogurt offerings were varied and delicious, and the topping selection was more than adequate. I've seen places that have even more options, but Yoya has lots, and it's hard to stop yourself from scooping up all of them. It's very clean and attractive. There's a TV with couches in front. Also, it has handicap-accessible, genderfree bathrooms, if that's something you need. I'll definitely stop by the next time I'm in the area, and I'll register my visit so I can get more coupons. Mmm!

This place is great for a quick snack or a quick lunch yogurt when you have 30 minutes for lunch. Or just an excuse to drive there when you really want some. The boba tea is ok, they have a lot of flavors you can try, I love the mango, and mocha boba tea. They change the flavors which is great because it is a good way for people to try to be adventurous with their taste buds. It is a great place to hangout and have conversations with friends you haven't seen in a long time. The place is always kept clean and neat...the staff are friendly, they try helping you in make you selec tion about which yogurt flavor to choose.

This place was voted best boba in town. Definitely great boba, but the drink flavors were too watery. The froyo was incredible! The pomegranate original yogurt froyo was amazing! If you like a tarty treat, this is the way to go!

This place is amazing! The smoothies are amazing. I order the kiwi smoothie every time with mango boba. And the frozen yogurt flavors are soooooo good. My favorites are white chocolate mousse and salted caramel pretzel. Delicious! I highly recommend it.

Yoya is such a delicious place! My husband and I ride our bikes there and eat outside on their patio. Delicious flavors and so many toppings to choice from! What a friendly staff too!

This is the best bubble milk tea I've had so far in the Indy-Bloomington-Louisville area. They give you rainbow boba instead of the usual black colored pearls. The milk tea could've used more tea flavor since it tasted quite milky, but it was still acceptable. The froyo is also nice.

I absolutely love this place!!! Waaaayyy better than that place in Nora... I would recommend to anyone in a second!!!!
