When you live in Florida, and you fly home to Indiana, and you're headed to your old buddies house in Fishers Indiana what else do you do, but exit the highway, and go find a White Castle. I love this place.

I noticed a previous reviewer gave this establishment 3 stars because the workers looked miserable at 3AM "like they hate working at a fast food place at 3 in the morning". I'd just let that one sink in for a while, maybe repeat it to yourself to think about the gravity of that revelation. The workers here were respectful and the nubian woman behind the counter complimented my hat. Also the place was packed but they handled everyone's orders well, I was hoping mine got mixed up with someone else's so I had an excuse to interact with someone but lo and behold they got it correct. Try the chicken and waffles sandwhich and ask for your server's gravy, they love that joke.

Food quality: Good, about as good as any other White Castle. Price: A little high, I think, but not unreasonable. Service: Terrible. I have never had as consistently terrible drive-thru experiences as I have at this location. It's a rare day that I spend less than 10 minutes waiting at the window, and it's not uncommon to spend over 15 minutes waiting, even when there is nobody else in line OR in the store -- and this is for a single combo meal: one drink, fries, and two sliders.

Eating here was the first thing I did when I flew into Indy. It was 3am, so I was glad the place was open 24 hours. The workers look miserable...like they hate working at a fast food place at 3 in the morning. The burgers themselves are good for munchies, but low quality. They are better than the frozen ones from Lucky, which is what I buy back in Cali to get my WC fix. The Barq's red cream soda was pretty legit...and I don't even drink soda! A friend back on the west coast sent me a coupon for 1 free slider (not valid with any other discounts or special offers). I saved 41 cents! Definitely overrated by Harold & Kumar, but now I can cross it off my life's "to do" list!

Let's set something straight off the bat: Harold and Kumar were wrong. White Castle is disgusting. Even if I were as stoned as those two were in the film, I still would not have had the stomach to finish my meal (let alone the dozens of sliders the two of them scarfed down at the end of the film). After almost a decade of yearning to taste White Castle's supposedly scrumptious sliders, I could hardly control my excitement as I entered the restaurant and laid my wide eyes on the menu. I confidently ordered a slider meal and a side of chicken rings (chicken tenders in the shape of rings, sprinkled with buffalo seasoning). I was so excited that I documented the entire experience! As soon as I took one of the sliders out of its miniature box, however, I knew it was going to be bad. The bread was soggy, and the burger patty was less than a millimeter in height (it was really just a thin slice of burger-like lunchmeat). There were also random holes in each patty (because they apparently weren't scrimping enough with the meat). The only thing that redeemed White Castle was that they had Barg's Red Cream Soda on tap (I didn't know that existed either until today). So, I got to try something new. Although I am happy that I finally tried White Castle, I cannot think of a single reason to ever set foot in that establishment again.

Every time I have something other than a straight cheese burger, I am disappointed. The new bacon, cheddar cheese burger has bacon bits which kept falling out. And the cheese was not melted. Fortunately, I had just one with the other late-night arrival in Indianapolis being my regular cheese burger with ketchup - 4 stars for this!

I find it funny that the only other review is also from someone in Cali. I came here on the hype of Harold and Kumar and I have to say that the hype is eh. I thought the hamburgers could have been better, maybe a thicker patty? The fries and the sweet potato fries were ok. I don't think there is anything special about this place but I do say I can see people getting munchies for it late night. Just another fast food joint in my book and I have to say the people working here are not happy people.
