I had high expectations for TwoDeep but unfortunately it fell short on multiple fronts. I stopped in for the "pre party" prior to the colts/patriots game, and here are my thoughts... Location/space: 4 stars. They have off street parking which is nice, especially downtown. The interior bar/lounge area is really nice. The bar is large and there are multiple couches set up throughout the brewery where small groups can have conversation. It's very clean, shiny, and new. Has a ton of potential. Service: 3 stars. There weren't more than 30 people in the bar when I arrived. It took a few minutes but one of the young bartenders came over to take my order. I told her that I'd never been to TwoDeep before. She suggested a flight and I went for it. Unfortunately, they were out of their IPA. Even more unfortunate was that the bartender didn't even know all of their beers (and there were only 7), and didn't tell me about their IBA which had been tapped a couple of days ago but had not been officially released. I overheard another bartender talking about it, so I ordered a small taste from her (and it ended up being the best), but I would have missed it had it not been for me being slightly nosey. $8 for the flight of 5. Beer: 3 stars. This was the biggest disappointment. All of the beers were smooth and drinkable, but I felt like they were all flat. None of them had much of a head and carbonation was definitely lacking. The dunkel was probably my favorite along with the aforementioned IBA. The Scottish ale was again well reviewed on yelp, but I wouldn't go as far as ordering a growler of any of their beers. The Irish red was very mild. I opted out of the cream ale, so I can't comment on it. The stout was just ok, as were the other two. I really wanted to try to IPA, but they were out. Oh well. Again, all of their beers are drinkable, but I won't go out of my way to go back. For as competitive as the local brewing scene has become, I left kind of disappointed. I would put this place in the middle of the pack, along with Sun King, Tow Yard, etc. But below Flat 12, Fountain Square, and Triton.

I love the new brewing scene that has erupted here in Indiana. I often use the bike share program and one day while riding I realized this new brewery was opening up! Couldn't wait. I finally tried it out. Walk in and you notice how high the ceilings are! This is a very open concept place. the fireplace, can't wait to have a glass around it. The brewery is broken into separate gathering spaces. Long tables, the bar area, couches - every space is designed, in my mind, to allow conversation without having to hear the rest of the patrons. The beer is very tasty. There are 5 different beers to try that come out on a board in the shape of Indiana if you order the flight. Then pick your favorite and have a few more pints. They also sell mixed drinks from liquor that is made in Indiana. Those prices are a bit on the high side. Also no lemons or limes. The noise level can be high but don't let that effect your visit. Over all a great spot and we all need to visit.

I called in on a Friday night about two hours before closing. The atmosphere was spectacular. Even bigger guys will feel small bellying up to this awesome granite bar. The beer was spectacular. I first had a flight. The presentation was great. One gets to choose 5 or so samples that are very generous pours for the cost. They are served on a very cool wooden tray carved in the form of the state of Indiana. I had a pint of the Scottish Ale which I believe is and if not will hopefully be a part of their regular line up. I could have enjoyed a pint of any of the styles I tried even those that I don't normally order. All the beers I tried were very well balanced with great flavor. I will be back plenty. The price is very good at about $5 for a pint. The principle was friendly and accessible. One can tell in these early stages that everyone is pitching in and wearing a lot of different hats until they get their footing. While the service could have been a little better, I'm not going to be as critical as others. One can tell these folks take pride in the place and they just opened and it will get better. TwoDeep Brewery will be a worthy competitor and I hope a comprehensive distribution program is in the business plan.

Caught this place on a brewery tour with co-workers. Nice upscale feel, friendly group of people. I'll have to stop back fresh to re-assess as it was the third place on the tour and I had already drank too much and my palate was worn out!

  • Ashley N.

Beer was alright. I'm not really a fan of super malty beers which is basically all they have, so my palate just isn't right for it. The service was great though and the crowd was very pleasant too. A chill place to hang out.

Service was great. Beer not so much. Beers were to cute. Hints of bananas in one. Seriously? Why not just make a great American ale?

Stopped in on our mini tour of Indianapolis/Bloomington area breweries. The atmosphere is clean, modern, and roomy. After a sampler (on a great wooden board carved into the state of Indiana), a full beer, and a chat with staff about the story of TwoDeep we left with a growler for enjoying at home. Support local and drink beer - TwoDeep is great. Will be back!

TwoDEEP is brand new in Indy and has a ton of things going for it. The location is fairly convenient and easy to get to. Although you may face a little bit of traffic during rush hour, it's far enough away from other businesses like the hotels and restaurants where you won't have to worry about congestion or crowds. They have parking on site as well so no need for parking meters either. The beer itself is pretty good. When I went, there were just five beers available, but I'm sure they will have plenty more in the future. They had a really good Irish Red as well as a Wit. As a big IPA lover, I was a bit disappointed with their IPA and thought it wasn't hoppy enough (reminded me of Sierra Nevada). If you go, try a beer flight first to get an idea of the selection. TwoDEEP's environment is pretty great for groups. There's plenty of seating and it's roomy enough to feel as though you have plenty of personal space. There aren't any televisions yet so don't expect to be able to come here and catch a game. As tough as it may be you might actually have to have a conversation with someone.

One of the best new breweries that have popped up in Indianapolis. I was blown away by how nice the bar and facilities are for this hidden gem. The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful if you have any questions about their beers or what they do. Only downfall is they don't have an extensive food menu, but the beer makes up for it. Be sure to check out growler/bullet deals they have on Sundays!

Overall a nice venue and decent beer. However, the service was lacking big time. We stopped by to check out one of the latest breweries to Indy. Pay attention as you drive south on Capitol. TwoDEEP will sneak up quickly after passing 10th street. Look to the right. It is next to Ress Motor Works (where our MINI gets maintenance). The space really makes this brewery. Large and inviting with plenty of comfortable couches. I could see this being a place for after work get togethers. We stopped by around 6:45 PM on a Saturday. I'm not sure the target market but maybe it's more of a weekday scene or late nights. While I recognize we were early in the evening, there were only two other people in this vast room. Jenni had a sample of the cream ale and liked it. We both settled on the IPA. Jenni isn't a full on hophead and enjoyed the IPA better than I did. While I didn't dislike it, I do prefer a stronger hop taste. The service made this a disappointing trip. With only two other people at TwoDEEP we expected a better experience. In this case it was more of a deliver the beer and then go focus on your phone type of experience. It's amazing how good service can make even an average place stand out. We will give this another shot before knocking it out of our rotation options.

Great new brewery in great location downtown. Easily accessible and plenty of parking. Atmosphere is great, relaxed, perfect for a beer after work on to meet up with friends. Much bigger than most brewery tasting rooms. Beers are great. I'm a huge fan of German-style, darker beers, so I was happy to see that TwoDeep offered a dunkel, wit beer, and Amber. Cream ale was also good, better than Sun Kings in my opinion. Prices were fair as well, with sampler for $8. We will certainly be frequenting this brewery, our favorite of those downtown!

TwoDeep is a new brewery here in Indy near 7th and Capitol. Their launch party was very well executed - plenty of staff members on hand that were very friendly and educated about TwoDeep's practices and policies. They had five beers on tap ($5 each). I tried two of them: a red ale and a cream ale. They were both good, especially the cream ale. It was much better than Sun King's cream ale. I like the look of the inside of the brewery. It had a warm feeling to it with some leather couches and a fireplace. Some of Indy's breweries look like you've walked into someone's basement...not so at TwoDeep. They weren't filling growlers at the launch party so I'm not sure what the growler prices are. Cool brewery. Honestly, TwoDeep deserves a higher rating, but I feel like Indy has enough local breweries at this point. The novelty has worn off for me.

Lucky my husband stumbled upon this brewery. Great selection of brews and they even have a few edible snacks on the menu. Super awesome that on Wednesdays they have $4 pints! Check them out as they are always having fun events occurring! Flights are served on super cute trays!

Pretty decent beer. I really enjoyed the Kunkel, and my service was great. The bar itself is pretty awesome. It's definitely different than any of the other breweries in town. Two Deep is a great addition to this area of town, and I'm looking forward to spending more time there.

I bought three growlers of three different beers and I am going to have to do it again as I can't decide which one is best. Awesome beer! Awesome atmosphere!

The beer is delicious! My buddies and I are here trying the flight of beers, and everyone one better than the last. Plus, the tour was very cool to see how everything is made. Everyone needs to try this new brewery! Life is too short to drink bad beer.

We had our first Two Deep experience yesterday. It is a beautiful new brew house with a good selection of unique beers. Everyone with us had a great time and felt welcomed by the guys running the place. I would definitely recommend them to a friend! In fact, I have!

The blanket west coast IPA was excellent as expected! Every beer I have tried at two deep has been phenomenal. A must visit brewery for any beer enthusiast.

This is the most beautiful tap room in Indianapolis. I do enjoy coming in for a pint and look forward to visiting with colder weather considering they have a fireplace. This is a taproom and not a bar so beware of the hours of operation. They actually stop serving a half hour before the posted closing. I guess it is good for the staff but you need to look at your watch before you go. The beer is ok. Some big hits and some not so big. This isn't unexpected in a new brewery and I am very hopeful that they will get their equipment and recipes dialed in soon.

  • Bryan V.

Awesome facility, with plenty of room and, thank heavens, no blaring music or TVs! The staff are great, and so is the beer, with my personal favorite being Lake, their IPA. Great place to meet up and chat or conduct business over a quality adult libation. I've been there a couple of times now and plan to go again when in downtown.

Very nice new space. Much fancier than your normal brewery. Only concern I have is the size & location, really hope they can fill the place. Enter through east door and the bar is on the south side starting about 1/3 of the way into the room. Granite bar with rounded wooden rail. Pipe foot rest. Brick bar face. Nice wooden, padded stools with backs. The bar back is very simple with some TVs (mainly used for beer menu), otherwise not much to speak of. Fireplace at the corner of the "L" shaped bar that does a great job of separating the two parts. Actual brewery is to the west and can be seen through a large window. The rest of the place is very open and meant for groups. All different types of seating, sofas, high tables, group tables, lower tables, etc. Lighting is lower, but not dark. More "mood" lighting. Kind of assume the place is targeting a higher end experience that you can now find after work at Sun King. Where Sun King is very industrial, Two Deep is modern & comfortable. What really matters, the beer is great. Owners are also very friendly & helpful.

Opening day. Another great brewery in downtown Indy. Beers are great. Friendly and knowledgeable staff handling the extremely large opening crowd. Tried the NightStick Cream Ale and Red Sunday. Environment is beautiful. Perfect location right off the Cultural Trail.

I want to like this place, but I just can't. I'll hit ya with some likes and dislikes. Likes: 1. I love the atmosphere and the interior. Comfortable seating, clean and trendy. 2. The Irish Red Ale. Unfortunately, it was the only beer that I liked. 3. $4 pints on Wednesdays Dislikes: 1. Customer service: I went with a couple of coworkers for a drink after work on $4 pint night. The place wasn't busy and there were two bartenders. We were not greeted or happily helped. One of the guys seemed more annoyed to be helping us than anything. The other guy did a lot of wandering around behind the bar. Maybe he was new? 2. The beer: I was so upset to only find one beer that I actually wanted to drink a pint of. One of my coworkers got a flight and let us sip and we all seemed to have something negative to say about the beers she chose. Maybe she chose the wrong beers? I would be willing to try this place out again. Maybe we just experienced an off night.

I waited for this place to open, not knowing how well it would hold up with so many other (new) local breweries. The atmosphere is great. It's spacious and plenty of room to bring a whole gaggle of local beer enthusiasts with you! There were fewer beer selections shortly after they opened than they have now, an expected progression, so I waited for experiencing more options to review. If I can recall, I'll add on specific examples to my review later, but some beers were not characteristic of their normal variety, so I encourage you to grab a sampler and open your mind to different beer varieties. I usually love the IPAs/hoppy selections, and where the IPA was fine, I really enjoyed the Kunkel and the Red Sunday.

I booked a private event at Two Deep for a student organization and the staff were wonderfully accommodating. From working out small details in advance to helping run the event it was truly a joy to work with the team at TwoDeep. I highly recommend this venue for an event, but also for grabbing drinks after work. A friendly and welcoming environment with great staff!!

Love the vibe of this place. Cool atmosphere, and in a market so saturated with micro breweries, twodeep still stands out to me. Stopped in today for a quick pint, tried the Jenny wit Belgian wit beer and it's probably the best wit I've had. Love the staff they engage u in conversation, they don't just look at you like an inconvenience the way some other breweries treat you. Two thumbs up. Everyone living in the downtown area should give these guys a try.

Beautiful space. Sunday is the growler fill special 25% off, and Wednesday $4 pints. Easy access from downtown. Parking lot next to building. Big screen for games.

2.5 minutes from the house.....uh oh. The beer is very good, but not great. I don't know what it is, but some of them come off with a sweet finish that should be reserved for American style wheat ales. The Lake IPA is solid; complex and not overly hoppy. The roasted amber was excellent, though not as "roasted" tasting as I had hoped. I'm just being nitpicky, though; this place has a great setup, greater location (next to my house), and a solid selection of beers. I just wish they stayed open past 8:00 pm on week nights! I'd give it 3.5 stars if it were possible, but I'll round up to four since I know I'll be back (soon).

Stingy with my 5-star ratings but let me try some food next time and we'll see about upgrading to the coveted 5-star. Fantastic first experience though! Was craving a beer flight on a Sunday and given this place is walking distance, thought I'd try it out. Super unassuming location (pay attention or you'll miss it!) on Capitol. Comfy couches up front, bar area with stools and picnic like tables with chairs in the back. Ordered the flight ($8 for 5 beers or $2 more for all 6 beers on tap) and honest to God- impossible to tell you which one was my favorite. All were great (and slightly sweet!). I'm no beer connoisseur by any means, but found none to be offputting (very approachable and easy/enjoyable to drink!). Great, friendly staff and comfy environment. If you're seeking somewhere chill on a late Sunday afternoon to get a bit tipsy or simply enjoy a brew, this is it!

I happened onto this brewery by noticing them come up on Restaurant.com , with one of their discount gift certificate offers. So I bought it, then bicycled up to the brewery (in the rain) after work to see if I could get dinner there. Whoops, they were closed, as they are on Monday and Tuesday. So, I came back a few days later, and whoops, they don't take restaurant.com gift certificates anymore. (This is a standard hazard of buying the certificates; restaurants stop taking them all the time. Fortunately you can swap them one-for-one for other certificates.) But once I finally was able to get to the place and order food, I found it was certainly worth repeat visits. Their beers are all pretty good, and the IPA is especially enjoyable. You can get a flight to try several of them out at once. Their food menu isn't terribly large--a couple of flatbreads and a pretzel. It's basically just enough to stay within the letter of the law. (At least it's not Sun King's $10 microwave Hot Pockets!) That being said, the pepperoni and sausage flatbread is remarkably good, and I have no qualms about ordering it again whenever I'm hungry. Apart from that, they schedule food truck visits from time to time, and they're explicitly all right with you bringing in or even ordering in outside food, as long as you keep buying the beers from them. They have a special whereby they fill growlers for 25% off on Sunday, making them a great place to grab some carry-out suds on those days when regular stores won't sell you beer. Their bar area is really nice and spacious, with lots of big tables, sofas, a big-screen projection TV, and of course free Wi-FI. The password is at the bottom of their beverage menu. And the location, on Capitol Ave a few blocks south of the Stutz buildings, is near enough where I live in the Old Northside that I won't have any qualms about going there when they're open. I do wish they had an actual bicycle rack rather than parking meters and trees, though.

Indiana beer in an Indiana flight in Indiana! Inception! Loved this place, we had a flight with the Cream Ale, Red, Dunkel, Scotch ale, and the IPA. The red was one of the best I've ever had and the scotch ale was outstanding as well. I didn't dislike anything I tried but those were the stand outs. The IPA seemed to be a big hit but I wasn't impressed, difference of taste I suppose. The flight cost about $8.50 and our pints were around $4.50 so reasonably priced. The atmosphere here is outstanding and service was great. Oh and their 32oz take out containers are mini growlers called "Howlers" and they are the cutest thing ever. We will definitely be back!

Another successfully Grand Opening of a local brewery. The opening of TwoDEEP Brewing drew a big crowd, both outside in the parking lot and inside in the tap room. We can never have enough craft breweries, right? There were five beers available: Nightstick (Cream Ale), Jenny Wheat (Belgian Wit), The Kunkel (Dunkelweizen), Lake IPA (India Pale Ale), and Red Sunday (Irish Red). Based on the beer lineup, it seems TwoDEEP is focusing more on drinkable beers than hoppy beers. All of the beers (other than the IPA) have low IBUs. I tried the Nightstick, which was somewhat heavier than a typical cream ale and looked darker. The Kunkel was just okay for me. It had a nice color but didn't have the best taste. The general feedback was positive on the other beers based on people I talked to. As far as location, TwoDEEP is housed in an old printing company in a somewhat isolated area of downtown. But overall, it is actually quite centralized between the various downtown districts. And being right off of the Cultural Trail, the brewery is easily accessible by bike. The tap room is very well done, with tables/sofas and plenty of space for large groups and parties. TwoDEEP would be a good place to hang out in the colder months. The tap room is scheduled to be open Thursday-Sunday.

I popped in between a meeting downtown and a dinner in Broad Ripple to wrap up my work day. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I got some strange looks for typing away on my laptop, but it beat hanging at Starbucks on a Friday afternoon... interesting people-watching, comfier furniture and ... well ... beer! I couldn't make up my mind on a pint - they all sounded so good - so I opted for a flight. The hard part: a flight has 5 tastes. The menu has 6 beers. One had to get voted off the island. Decisions decisions. Thanks to the gal at the tap, we shunned one - I guess I'll have to go back and make things right soon. The serving tray was creative - a big, lift-with-your-legs heavy block of wood carved into the state of Indiana. I was instructed to drink diagonally from South Bend to Evansville. Although I liked some better than others (isn't that always the case?), I enjoyed the, all. This is definitely the low-key, but beautiful, open, relaxed, grown-up place I'll be scheduling some Friday "meetings".

Super bummed to miss the grand opening of this new brewery, but I did drive by the grand opening and it was packed!! Last weekend, I made it in on a Sunday. I was immediately in taken back for a moment when I walked in the door!! The establishment is BEAUTIFUL! Tons of leather furniture for seating, a very large and gorgeous bar and very spacious! A few things I loved: They also serve wine and spirits with a limited, but great selection of both. They will be serving food, if not already. The staff was very attentive and friendly. (Actually spoke to one of the owners for a long time and loved hearing the story of how this brewery started. It is a great story.) The beer flight is set on a board cut to resemble the state of Indiana. So unique and very cool!! Lastly, they are not pet-friendly inside as they serve food, but they did offer to move chairs outside for us and serve us if we brought a dog with us. Loved this place, the beer was great and I will definitely be back!

Nice tasting room located just north of Downtown. I stopped in here after sampling their scotch ale at HopCat and really liking it. I wanted a sample of everything they had so I ordered a flight. They had 6 beers on tap, and only included 5 in the flight so I left of the scotch as I had already tried it. I enjoyed all of the beers I tried. There was nothing innovative or new here however. You could get a different version of every beer on tap at TwoDeep at any other brewery in the city. Perhaps I came when they were not featuring seasonals or specialty brews, but I was left wishing they had more to offer. Atmosphere was pretty great. A nice long bar with comfy bar stools, and lots of seating at tables, couches and chairs for groups of any size. There were people dressed in shorts and tees and also dressed in suits enjoying their beers, so it's definitely a come how you are feeling. All in all I will be back with my fingers crossed that they'll start featuring more exciting brews!

Went here for the first time and tried the JMC and Gump's Blanket. Both were very good. The Gump's Blanket was my favorite and had a nice smooth finish similar to Zombie Dust. The bar/tasting room is really nice. Very spacious and accommodating for a small or large group.

We hadn't even heard of this new brewery until a friend recommended it, and I'm glad he did! I'm always a big advocate of local breweries and wineries and Indy doesn't disappoint. TwoDeep is located in a prime spot for us. The atmosphere inside is modern yet cozy. I grew up in Montana and it looks like something we might run into there, plus an industrial twist. They offer a number of beverages including their house beers and locally distilled spirits. They even offer flights of their beers if you are looking for a variety. Within our party, I ordered a vodka soda (watching my figure ;) ) and everyone else ordered beers. I did have to sample tastes of their beers and they were very good. The locally distilled vodka was also very smooth. Pricing was pretty in line with local breweries. The waits were a bit long, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since they had just opened. Staff was very friendly. Give it a try!

Good Things- Beer: Their beer is fairly good. Their selection is limited but it seems to be constantly revolving. I believe the owner crowd funded this bar via kickstarter (at least he has a video online). The quality of beer is what you would expect from a buddy who is really good at brewing home beer. Atmosphere: A great place to drink a beer if you want to chill with friends. I love that the music volume level is conducive to talking. There is a dropdown projector screen which will be great to watch the final four at. Bad things- Food: Not a big food selection, they only have snacks so don't come hungry. I haven't tried any of it, but it looks decent. They do have food trucks on certain days, which make excellent treats. Overall, I will frequent this place because I only live 2 blocks away.

I like beer, and if indy has one thing... it is lots of good, local beer. I walked over for the two deep launch party this past weekend, and managed to try all five beers they had available: an IPA, a dunkelweizen, a wheat beer, an Irish red, and a cream ale. I really really liked their belgian wit -- probably my favorite out of the line up. The cream ale was much more typical of a cream ale than what Sun King makes (theirs is more of a microbrew version of bud light). I didn't especially like the dunkel, and the IPA was unremarkable. Overall, I think they've got some really solid options. The best part of TwoDeep though is the location: it's on the west side of down town, right off the cultural trail. There isn't a whole lot over there, so it's great to have a place to go. The inside was spacious with a really nice vibe -- I think it would be a great place for after work drinks or a happy hour.

Although I was unable to make the grand opening, I was happy to finally see what Two Deep had to offer. Upon entering, the atmosphere is great and the space is huge. There are many areas where you can gather with friends and relax plus a substantial bar. I decided to try their flight, which was situated on a board in the shape of Indiana. I tried all 5 beers they currently have on tap and liked a majority of them. I was told that they will have rotating taps with seasonal beers soon. They also have a small selection of wine and liquor to choose from in case you have some non beer drinkers in your group. If you need a snack, they do give you free popcorn plus flatbreads and soft pretzels are available for purchase. Although they currently do not have outdoor seating, I was informed that they do have it in the works. It will not be a huge space (only 3-4 parking spaces wide). They are also going to be a stop on some of the brew bus routes, so that would be a great way to stop by and check them out. Located conveniently on the cultural trail and near the canal, this would be a great place to stop by and have a beverage. I know I plan on stopping by again soon!

Went to this brewery on Saturday afternoon for the opening as part of our "every brewery in Indianapolis" tour. The beers were $5 per solo cup, which is a little more expensive than most. We tried the IPA and the kunkel, which is a dark wheat beer. The IPA didn't stand up against other comparable brews, but the kunkel was pretty fantastic. There is a nice outdoor space, as well as plenty of indoor seating with friendly bartenders and a fireplace. The vibe is pretty college-y, which makes sense given its proximity to IUPUI. Lots of salmon pants. There are breweries in Indy that I like better, but that's probably just my preference for excellent IPA and broke musicians hanging around. If you want good service and good beer, give this place a try!

TwoDeep is a great tap room in a generally under-travelled section of downtown. The atmosphere is warm brick walls and exposed beams, deep leather chairs/sofas, and long reclaimed wood tables. Add the fireplace next to the bar and it is a perfect place to curl up with a book and enjoy some of the best craft beer in downtown Indy. The private lot to the north with access from Capital is also a nice touch. The beer selection is average to small for most craft breweries, but I have never found a brew I don't like. The menu is always changing, so there's plenty of opportunities to be adventurous too. here is very little in the way of food, so come with that in mind. A few things that mar an otherwise great experience. I wish there was a better way to order other than leaning over barstools to try and flag a bartender. It makes me feel like I'm in a dive bar. Would it be too hard to have a spot to order at the bar or a roving waiter? Small complaint; I'm definitely still a fan.

Nice atmosphere, friendly bartender, and lots of space (would be great if you've got a large group). Tried several of the beers and none really stood out to me. To be fair, several of the styles they had available aren't my top choices (though most were very good representations of their style), but the overall maltiness just wasn't my thing.

TwoDeep has a comfortable laid back atmosphere that makes their great tasting brews taste even better. I had their Red Sunday at the Pint Room and my daughter had Knightstick at District Tap. Since we liked those we decided to go to the source and were not disappointed. We were greeted by Kasandra at the bar, who was pleasant and made us feel that our business was appreciated. She informed us that the Sunday special was growlers at a 25% discount, and a flight of eight was available for $8.00. Kasandra let us try The Kunkel and Czhechshire Cat. However, I still opted for the Red Sunday, but my daughter decided to order a pint of The Kunkel. As an accompaniment, we ordered the pretzel sticks with mustard, which were quite good. In addition to the pretzel sticks, two flatbreads were on the menu. Though the menu is painfully small, there is a sign posted stating that you can bring your own food so that takes care of that issue. To make for a well rounded and pleasant experience, their location is on the northern edge of downtown so it is not in a congested area. Plenty of parking is also available. Fantastic tasting brew, atmosphere, service, and hassle free location earns TwoDeep five stars.

What a great taproom. Completely unassuming from the outside, but sleek and classy on the inside. The space is huge, and I can imagine it gets pretty packed on weekends. It looks like there's a corner where a stage can be setup for live music, but I'm just speculating. Beers lean toward the maltier end of the spectrum which I'm totally onboard with. I'm tired of microbrewers upping the ante as far as trying to pack as many IBUs in their brews. Whatever gappened to balancing bitterness with roast? TwoDEEP certainly takes that to heart. They have 8 beers on draft, but also carry some (mostly) local spirits and wine. Pints are $5, individual samples are $2, and a sample flight of all 8 beers is $8. Technically they serve "food" (pretzels and a couple flatbreads) which allows them to sell pints for on-site consumption. Of course they do growler and bullet fills for carry-out.

The taproom is lovely! Huge bar, a fireplace, exposed brick, lots of local artwork, large communal tables for seating. We came here for First Friday and this place was on fire (not literally on fire) but full of lively people ready for a fun evening. TwoDeep is close in proximity to IUPUI's campus and you could tell the crowd consisted primarily of young twenty somethings. The evening we came they had 7 beers on tap and the 1 we were most curious about they ran out of (Milk Stout). Most of the other beers on the menu were very similar: Brown Mild, English Brown, Scotch Ale. There wasn't a Pale or IPA in the mix which was disappointing. It was just an odd variety of choices. I tried several and while each was good nothing was super impressive. TwoDeep gets bonus points for parking. They have their own private lot which is nice for downtown. They offer $4 pints on Wednesdays. 25% off growler fills on Sundays. Open Tuesday - Sunday. They have live music nights and regular food truck visits.

Great layout inside.. had a client event here and they accommodated our 100+ guests. They have a private parking lot on north side of building huge plus Could have used one more bartender (only 2) but they did fine. We had a food truck for the event but i believe they have a few appetizer type munchies available. The beer was cold and tasty, it was a school night so just a couple pilsners for me. I look forward to going back.

Definitely check out this brewery/taproom if you're in town. I've been several times and usually take a growler home. They seem to specialize in specialty beers - so there's always something weird I've never tried before. Many of their beers are a hit (to me), but there are some misses. If I haven't had a beer before, I always ask for a sample. Frankly, skip the flight as you're certain to dislike a few beers out of 5 in the flight, and get a few free samples instead. The space could use a bit more charm, but I've always been there during the day with a laptop or hanging out with friends. So, it's possible the place livens up at night, and that stage gets some use. Haven't seen the fireplace in use yet, but I suspect it would be pretty cozy. Growlers are pricey, but I've taken some of their specialty beers to events with friends and they're always well received. Lots of parking, but a warning when turning into the lot: there's an unmarked curb right in the middle of the entrance off Capitol, which I've witnessed several people drive over. Sucks for their wheels!

Great brewery that's walking distance from downtown! $4 pint nights on Wednesday, food trucks weekly, and awesome beers and spirits! They're always brewing up something new, so come back often. They have a TON of space here if you want to bring a group, plus a kitchen for snacks if you get hungry. All in all, a quality bar at which to spend your time. I'll be back.

TwoDeep has a really cool vibe.. leather sofas and chairs, concrete floors, tvs, etc. I thought it would be a perfect spot for an after-work beer or to meet up with friends. It was so awesome to see the board they serve their flights on was in the shape of Indiana (be still my heart)! The flight was $8 and I had my choice of five out of the six on tap.. ended up trying everything but the Scotch Ale, oddly enough that was one I asked for a sample of afterwards and ended up liking. For all the sports junkies- I went on a Sunday and they had football on every screen. For non-beer lovers-- they had wine available.

I feel like the battle lines are drawn in the craft beer world. The hop head snobs want the most bitter brew imaginable. Is a 1,000 IBU possible? They want it. Then there are the rest of us. We like easy drinking, flavorful beer and inviting places to sit back and enjoy a beer and conversation with friends. The hop heads may think Two Deep isn't aggressive for them. For normal human beer drinkers, I couldn't recommend this place any more. The beers are fresh, inviting, complex but drinkable, and well balanced. On top of that, it is modern, open, has a parking lot, and incredibly friendly staff. Highly recommended include the Dunkel (amazing), Belgian Wit, and Cream Ale. Go here. Enjoy yourself. Enjoy good local beer.

I was interested in seeing this place and I am glad it finally opened. They brew all their beer on site and it smells of hops and barely when you walk in. This place is the perfect place to meet a few friends and hand out. There is a significant amount of space to sit along the bar. There are several coves of couches to hang out on that create a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. My favorite feature was the fireplace in the middle of the room. It would be neat to come hang out here during the winter to enjoy the warmth from the fireplace. It is a little bit off the beaten path but it is worth checking out. The brewers are eager for their patrons to try their beers and try to cater to their guests' beer needs. It is pretty close to the canal, and hopefully has some sort of outdoor seating for the summertime. Ideally, I think I would prefer coming here in the winter though because of the fireplace. TwoDEEP is a taproom so they have a limited menu of just 3 items, but according to their website they allow a BYOF policy so that their guests can further enjoy the atmosphere. I think that is awesome! There are not too many places that allow their patrons to bring in food from outside places. They also occasionally will have food trucks come through so patrons have more options to eat. Once thing very interesting about this place is that it offers the ability to rent it out for private events. That is AMAZING. To book an event go to their website and fill out an event request form. There are options for casual meetings, semi-private events, and private events for any day of the week. I have never seen this option in a brewery before and think it is a brilliant idea. I would like to attend or host a private event here to see how it goes, it sounds like it would be a great experience.
