As a Cottage Homie (yes that is what we are called), I am so excited that Tick Tock has opened right down the street on 10th. It has a great neighborhood feel with a beer selection AND good food. The hand-breaded tenderloin was superb. I look forward to returning and trying more - or perhaps I will just order a bloody mary which looks to be a meal in itself!

Not a bad rendition of a Philly cheese steak for a Midwestern establishment. I am not a big drinker so I cannot comment on the famous Bloody Mary, but I may change my mind if I get there on the weekend!

The newly reopened Tick Tock Lounge (2602 E. 10th St) is well worth the trip. The food was delicious and got to our table piping hot. People working there are friendly and the service fantastic. As for the atmosphere, it has been excited watching the exterior of the building getting cleaned up and prepped for business. I am happy to report they have done a great job on the inside of the bar - it is clean, cozy and well laid out. I love the beer bottle chandelier! They have a large opening to the kitchen which is bright and clean. They serve both Sun King and Flat12. If you have an adventurous streak you can try a bloody mary with bacon vodka complete with garnishes of celery, olives, pepperoni, cheese, bacon and tater tots! Please drop by and have a burger or tenderloin (what we had) - you won't be disappointed.

Count me as a passenger on the I Like the Tick Tock Train. The burgers are smashed with crispy hamburger lace on the edges. Their pulled pork is smoky and tasty and just topped with sauce;not smothered; as is the trend. I agree battered tenderloins are out of the ordinary. But the old Shaffer's; by Glendale; on Keystone did it that way on their lunch menu. And back in the day it was a swanky joint. I told a couple of friends who remembered the "old" place about the re opening and they tried it for lunch. Their verdict was it was a 12 on the bar food scale. They loved the grouper and the smoked tilapia. That is what I am most eager to try. The new owners are far from rookies. I am looking forward to watching this place prosper. The only reason I didn't give up 5 stars from jump was I just have to try the smoked fish. And I am this week.

The Bloody Mary us a meal within itself. They have brunch on Sundays. Personally I love fish and chips Fridays. The food overall is decent bar food. The infused vodkas and local craft beer in an unassuming location put this place a cut above others.

This is a place that I'm sure I need to visit on more occasions to properly test out, as the shelves full of fruit and spice infused vodkas behind the bar just has good time written all over it. On top of that, it looks like a place that would make some great artery-clogging plates of food for those days when you're feeling like eliminating any progress from those New Year's resolutions. Enough about foreshadowing future visits and more about what I actually had here. It was the bloody mary that drew us in, so it was a bloody mary that got ordered. First of all, the fact that they serve it on a plate should indicate that this isn't your everyday normal bloody mary. Along with the drink, you get a couple different skewers full of tater tots, pepperoni slices, cheese cubes, and stuffed olives along with a big slice of celery and topped off with a thick and crispy piece of delicious bacon. This drink both takes care of your need to consume alcohol and fend off the late night hunger cravings that go along with drinking said alcohol. The drink itself was nothing to write home about and actually needed a lot of work to spice up. I've had plenty out of a premixed bottle from the grocery store that would get my vote over the one here. It kind of just tastes like tomato juice and vodka with a little help from some subtle extras, but I prefer more heat and flavors and this one just didn't have it. If mixed drinks aren't your thing, they also had a handful of beers on tap and a list of bottles. The bartender was nice and helped us quickly. She was definitely more of the quiet type, but got us taken care of with everything we needed. Aside from our group, you could count the number of other people in the bar on Saturday night on one hand. The music is provided with a jukebox that was turned up pretty loud, so you are at the mercy of the taste of whoever feels like putting cash in the machine to break the silence. Unfortunately during my visit, it was a couple people who wanted to slow dance and romantically serenade each other to music that was from a different generation than mine, so be prepared. Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure I saw a Golden Tee game over against the wall, unless I'm confusing it with someplace else from that night. I think I have to be back to both get some food and delve into their plethora of infused vodkas, but I saw enough on this visit to want to come for a second.

Wow have they done a nice job renovating this place!! This used to be a scary dive that I wouldn't go in (and I LIKE scary dives), now it's a seriously nice place I wouldn't hesitate to bring anyone to. I met our friends here late, so I didn't get to have any food, but I did have a delicious Fountain Square porter, followed up by a house infused pineapple vodka and sprite - this was incredible! They have an entire wall of liquors infusing behind the bar. Definitely ask about these before making your drink selection, as they are excellent! I was not expecting a bar at this location to be doing something do damned cool! Bathrooms are brand new and super clean! Our server was really friendly, and made jokes with us all evening. I will definitely be returning to the Tick Tock Tavern at Tenth and Temple.

Super friendly staff, the waitress gave us a bunch of local recommendations of things to do. The breakfast omelet was good and reasonable.
