The food was delicious, the wait staff were very friendly and prompt, and the prices were reasonable for a nicer dinner out. Also, the drinks had a generous proportion of alcohol. It would be nicer if there weren't 7 or 8 tv's blaring, but that seems to be the trend these days. Overall it was a very nice experience and we will definitely go back.

When visiting the northside with peeps who have a hard time making up their mind as to where to stop, The Grill is a good option. With a menu featuring everything from steak to strawberry salads, there is sure to be an option for everyone in your party. This go around, our table had one breaded tenderloin that got rave reviews, a strawberry salad (verdict in: get a different dressing, unless you like tart vinaigrette), philly cheesesteak: just ok, and a chicken ciabatta sandwich: oh yeah yeah, hit the spot! All are sandwiches are served with Lays potato chips, but you can certainly opt into a more savory side. Service was just...meh. I mean, our waitress just seemed like she was uninterested, but all around, you'd catch me swingin in again!

The Grill is a spot where you go to just chill and enjoy time with friends. The interior was nicer than I anticipated and clean. The owner was around. He was pretty friendly and accommodating guy. We had an extremely large group of over 30 people. Out poor waitress was trying her best to serve multiple tables alone, so there were delays in just about every area, but she did her very best. Kudos to her! They have your typical "American faire." Burgers, appetizers, and salads. I ordered the chicken pecan salad. It hit the spot. Everyone else in the group was happy with their food orders, too. This place is more of a 3 and a half star place, but four stars would be too much. If you are in the area and need a nice spot to hang out after work, then this is your place!

Such a great place for a quick drink on your way home from work or a causal evening out with friends. Always see friends in there to chat with. The menu has a touch of everything from great salads to awesome desserts. Need something special, a party, an event, just ask Robert, he will make it happen. Great bands and music throughout the weekend. The Ribs, fall off the bone, chicken avocado salad are the best bets next to the spin dip. You will fall in love and make this your local "watering hole" as many of us have.

I feel like I'm at Cheers. We don't sit at the bar, but they still know what we want. Their pecan chicken salad is to die for.

Man... Tough to say. Food was decent, customer service was good. I am not sure how how people see it as a good atmosphere. Very dark and definitely seems more like a bar than a restaurant. At one point I looked around and saw 1 other person at 7 PM. THe place needs a good cleaning and I found it was odd that a gaping doorway to the kitchen was directly next to the women's restroom. It wasn't a terrible experience but my husband and I will probably not return. Oh and if you like hard liquor then you will have tons of options!

I haven't had a bad meal yet. Carried-out, eaten there, and had "liquid meals" and it's always been a great experience! I recommend the ribs, but everything I've had has been wonderful.

One of the best dining experiences I have had in some time! Bar set up, but amazingly high quality food. Very friendly staff all around and helpful server for sure. One of the managers even ran out after us in the parking lot bc I forgot my coat inside! I had heard good thing, but didn't know what to expect myself... I will MOST DEFINITELY be back again soon!

Nice little sports bar with great service & lots of TVs. Get the tenderloin and onion rings they are awesome! My biggest recommendation would be to clean the bar lights they are quite dusty!

Very good food all over the menu. Servers have great tits and are very attentive. Try the ribs (be hungry!) or the thin crust pizza.

Went in Wednesday night for the live music. It was Fun! Our friends had dinner, which looked fabulous and they raved about the steaks. We only had wine which was definitely reasonably priced. Really glad to see a locally owned, neighborhood bar/restaurant doing well.

I go there once every week or two with a friend. Food is very good, tenderloins, salads, wraps and thin pizzas. Lots of IndyCar memorabilia, owner of both Grills (other on 67 in McCordsville) is big into IndyCar. I almost stopped going there about a couple months, I sat at the bar and was going to order a pasta and rattled off sides and the bartender said, rather brusquely, "You don't get any sides." I forgot to read the fine print, my mistake. I just said never mind, and waited an hour or so to eat somewhere else and didn't want to give that woman another dime . The next week, my friend wanted to go back, I said no but my friend talked me out of it and said her friend Mary was working the bar. Mary is a sweet heart and will get you anything you want quickly. Food is good. I've been back a few times since, and now it's non smoking, so its a big plus.

Get out of the dark ages. Smoking??? Seriously? We turned right back around and went to subway instead.

A friend and I swung by here to check it out last weekend...a band we were interested in seeing was supposed to be playing, so what the heck, right? I was pleasantly surprised, as I've come to not expect too much from Indianapolis bar/grill places. The menu had prices ranges all over the place; we weren't super hungry so we got an order of potato skins to split, which ran about six bucks. WOW. These were not just any potato skins...it was like two potatoes cut in half, slightly scooped out, and then toppings put on. Really good and probably horrible for my health. There is a website for The Grill and it urges you to check out the drink specials...but when you click "drink specials" you are taken to a wine list. Oops. We had no idea what was on special because of that and I was excited to hear that all Stoli flavors were on special and priced very well...not to mention preeeeeetty strong. I was feeling really good by the time we left. As per usual, I was disappointed to see a place with a full menu allowing patrons to light up cigarettes, so despite how great everything else was, The Grill loses a star for that. When I get home from a fun night, I don't want to worry about laundry and washing my hair! Will Indianapolis ever open its tightly-scrunched eyes to the wonder of a decent smoking ordinance?

At first glance this didn't look like much. Don't judge it from the parking lot. Go in and see for yourself. I meet with professional clients and prospects and will not hesitate to meet them here. Great food! Reasonable prices. A full bar. New decor includes sofa and coffee table seating for informal conversation as well as regular tables and booths. Hardwood floors and trim. Plenty of flat screen TVs for watching a game.
