The District Tap Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Thai basil chicken flatbread. This review could end there. Love it. A lot. We also love what they've done with the place since the last faux-beer people left. The draft selection is impressively diverse. The place is relatively noise free for a very large space. We've been there several times and never had a bad or 'iffy' experience. When we go south of 96th street, we start thinking Thai basil chicken and a good IPA or pale ale.

My experience at The District Tap was pretty enjoyable. The food was delicious and they have a nice selection of beer. I really liked the atmosphere (fairly quiet, comfy booths, cozy decor, fire place, big screen TVs, etc). The service was timely and friendly. My only complaint is that it is slightly more expensive than similar places.

the food is pretty solid, and there's a great beer selection. nothing really rare, but a good diversity of different styles. plenty of tvs everywhere, and there's a game room. a really fun place to hang out at.

We hace been there twice and it has only been open two weeks! Excellent food, a great variety of both food and beer. It has trivia on Tuesdays which is fun. A variety of games, lots of tv's, a great banquet room, and staff that really wants to make your meal special! From shrimp and grits to pulled pork sandwich the food is great! And the mac and cheese is delicious!

For the prices they charge, I would expect better food quality and quantity! We ordered the tater tots covered with cheese/bacon from app menu recently for $10. The plate came out with about 20 tater tots covering one layer on a small plate! I told the waitress that for $10 I would expect a heaping mound. The boneless wings were ok, and service fair.....

  • Suzie F.

This was so disappointing. The best part was our greeting from the hostess. The service was horribly slow, I got my beverage and was half finished before my husband got his! The food was not great, my burger was cold but the worst part was the terrible service. It took forever for our orders to be taken, and even longer to get the check. The kicker was that it was Saturday afternoon and they were not busy. If I could give it less than one star I would.

I went for the first time last night...the service was fast and friendly. My sausage and pepperoni flatbread was tasty but nothing too special. Nice atmosphere. I'll be back soon to play shuffleboard

One of the owners invited us back and our experience was much better. They had a specialty beer from Three Floyds we had been looking for and we ordered burgers that were really good. I couldn't give five stars due again to the prices and the fact that in our early twenties we were at least a decade or two younger than everyone else. But we do plan on returning after a much better experience the second time around.

Amazing outdoor patio...Fantastic food...great place for food, drink and friends! Looking forward to hearing the summer band line up, too!

I wish this place had decent nachos and just a better menu overall. I won't bother eating here but, do like to listen to their bands. Since it's been opened as DT I haven't seen this place really busy. Their bartenders aren't friendly or seem remotely happy to be there. The vibe is off in there. If the owner was smart he would have a place for customer feedback on his website.

Great atmosphere, experience and food. The beer and wine selections are plentiful.

The service, from my experiences, are mediocre. Both times it took almost 20 minutes to get someone to my table. I just eventually went to the bar to order my drinks. But when the server finally came around, they were very apologetic and courteous. Also, the Cajun Mac and cheese is the best mac and cheese I've ever had.

  • Adge P.

This place has potential but two out of the three items I shared with my date were under-seasoned. Nothing seems to bother me more than those afraid of using salt. Tater tots were the best thing I had. Our waitress said they're made with an in-house Cajun seasoning where they toast their own spices. Definitely worth a try!

To be honest this place is just okay. Nice beer selection with rotating seasonal drafts and a nice patio area. The menu has a wide variety of options from sandwiches to pastas to tacos. I think this would be a good place to bring a large group of picky eaters, they have options across the board. The service is a little slow but they are nice and attentive. I just can't say much more than it's just okay. If you are looking for this atmosphere with better food there are plenty of options elsewhere in Indy.

Ok. This place has been a ton of different things and they've all failed. The restaurant is huge. The bar is huge. All in this place is so big that it really didn't feel that cozy even with the decor. We opted to eat out on their patio. Although the view is pretty much just a parking lot, there were plenty to TVs to give me something to look at. Service was great even though they were busy. Our drink orders were taken promptly and the server was knowledgable enough to make a beer suggestion to my parents who were eating with us. These guys are going with a big ol beer menu and bar food. They did an awesome job with the beer menus. There were a ton of great local options side by side with some national staples. I got to have some awesome stuff from Taxman out of Bargersville and I was super happy with it. Everything they do is outstanding. I expected elevated bar food but it was pretty much just bar food, but it was well done. My wife had one of the mac and cheese options and it was rich, delicious comfort food. I had the Mexicali mess burger. It had bright fresh ingredients with just enough heat to make me happy. I also got it with a side of tater tots. They were just a touch underdone but that could just be the fry guy having an off day or having a tough time with the packed house. My parents got a wrap and the BBQ. The BBQ was fine but not impressive and my mom liked her wrap. This might be the first restaurant to stick around here since discovery zone. Good luck guys.

Considering they have chosen to open this restaurant where no other restaurant can survive, they are doing a good job! The patio is awesome and the service was great! They also have a large, great beer selection! This is where the three stars comes in. The food is what you expect to find at these types of restaurants- the type whose food ranges from tacos to Italian. They have a nice presentation and have done a great job with the space.

Way too many TVs and too noisy. When I go out to eat I don't need TV to entertain me. That said. They did make excellent use of space. This building started life as Discovery Zone then at least 2 other places for food and entertainment. Pretzel sticks were great. The cheese dip with them was spicy but not too spicy. The beer mustard was nasty, but I also dislike beer. The pepperoni and sausage flat bread was very good as was the pulled pork sandwich. Service was friendly but it did seem to take a long time to get our food. The 10% off for checking into Yelp was nice. We did not do dessert but they sounded good. Maybe when there is a no sports / no horserace day we can go try dessert.

Went to the district tap yesterday to hangout with friends. The building looks fancy. We stepped in and we were greeted well by the working staff. The ambience is good. The waitress who served us was cute and pretty. My friends ordered beers. They have great selection of beers and wide range of alcohol. They have a pretty long list of food items on their menu. I ordered the left coast chicken club and thin cut fries with a root beer. The sandwich was huge and it was great. I loved it. My friends got buffalo chicken wrap, steak [medium-rare], chipotle chicken taco and korean beef short rib tacos. The tacos were served with spanish rice. All in all every food item was delicious. They have shuffle boards, darts and a nice patio. I even spent some time playing darts. It was great. Great experience overall. Ambience - 4/5. Food - 4/5. Service - 5/5. I recommend this place.

I am definitely a fan of The District Tap, the atmosphere is full of energy, and the host and servers have always been nice. The food and beer menu is extensive. They do offer flights but I have not taken advantage of that option as of yet so I am not sure how it works. I say that because some establishments who offer flights will allow you to get four or six samples of whatever beers you want, while some have a preset list to which they restrict you. I love their Cactus Chili and Sausage 'Shrooms. Both of these items have nice bold flavor. The Cactus Chili has a touch of sweetness to it and the shrooms come in a very large portion and are cheesy and spicy. The pretzels, which come with a beer cheese, as well as mustard sauce, are good as well. However, I would prefer a little more salt in the dough to enhance the flavor of the pretzel a bit more. The Short Rib Italian Beef served with au jus wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable either. The beef was in need of a bit more seasoning. On the sweet side, the Killer Carrot Cake was excellent and presented nicely with a delectable white chocolate drizzle. I rated The District Tap with four stars because the atmosphere is great and comes complete with shuffle board tables, the food for the most part has been enjoyable, and the beer menu is extensive. Almost forgot they have live entertainment on Friday evenings, which is a plus. It is definitely worth your time to check it out!

The food here is much higher quality than I would expect from a bar and grille. I'm impressed every time I eat here. If there is a live band, it often gets too loud to enjoy your company, but you can enjoy the drunken dancing in Cougar Corner. Did I mention the food makes up for any negatives? The Mac 'N Cheese? OMG, the Mac 'N Cheese!

Food is just okay. More bar food than anything else. My husband was trying to be healthy but it was very hard trying to pick something. Great beer selection

Upscale bar food + a huge list of beers on tap? Sign me up! I'm a sucker for place with a ton of beers on tap. And, this is definitely one of those places It's a great place to catch a game on one of their many flat-screen TVs. Everywhere you look there is a TV. The food. It was great - I had the Mexicali Mess. Spicy queso, chorizo, fresh quacamole, fresh pico de gallo... it was a party in my mouth. And, it was served with some tasty sweet potato fries. One small con? I ask for ranch with my fries... and they charged me for it. Small, but annoying detail. If I am back in the area... I would definitely stop back!

Was happily impressed by this place as opposed to some of Indy's other recent enormous restaurants serving a wide selection of beers (cough Hopcat cough Yardhouse). Yes, the location is kind of jinxed but I hope that The District Tap is able to weather the storm and make it work. I like the outdoor patio - sat out there in 85degree heat but the ceiling fans keep it well ventilated and at a comfortable temperature. Good beer selection with decent prices and also they have drink specials which is nice. Was also impressed with the menu... good selection of food that isn't all 100% bad for you. I just ordered a side salad but for $4 I got nice spring mix lettuce, tomatoes and onions which is better than a normal iceburg side salad. Looks like they have a good mixture of salads, entrees, sandwiches - several different things caught my eye. I'll definitely go back and explore more of their menu.So far, so good!

They have a great selection of beer, but the food is really mediocre at best. I went here on two separate occasions with two groups of people. Two different people ordered burgers and they both claimed they had a "strange" taste. They were also both cooked medium-well regardless of what they had ordered. I ordered the Buffalo Mac-n-cheese and it was alright. All in all, it is a good place to come for drinks after work, but I wouldn't plan on having dinner here.

I finally got the chance to stop in for a paying meal. With my parents visiting for Christmas and right after I finished a half marathon, I stopped in for a Sunday lunch with great expectations and great hunger. My first thought upon entering: where is the hostess and why are all these people standing in the waiting area? Do we seat ourselves? After a few minutes the hostess returned and seated everyone. That needs a bit of work. I know it was Sunday at lunch, but it's football season so you have to be ready for a crowd. On top of that, the place wasn't that crowded. There were a decent number of patrons present, but the place is gigantic so it didn't seem crowded at all. Table service: our server was helpful and suggestive, but was a bit slow at times. We had to ask a couple times to get a tv changed to a different game. Drinks: After a long race I wanted a nice Sun King. Specifically I wanted either Java Mac or cowbell porter (I drank all mine on Friday and SK isn't open on Sunday). I asked for the list of local rotating beers and was told they were out. This is exactly how Brewstone began its downfall. If you are going to offer a bunch of taps, keep them full. And NEVER run out of all of your local seasonal beers on a Sunday. Food: I ordered the good morning burger, medium rare, with sweet potato fries. It was way over cooked to well done, but the egg was perfect. Due to my intense hunger, I chose to eat it. Something I never do and won't ever do again here. The fries were pretty boring in the world of sweet potato fries. My wife ordered the Mac daddy at the servers recommendation. After trying two macs, I can assure you they are the best thing on the menu and the best I've had in Indy. It's clearly their pride and joy of the menu. My parents had the salmon and the pork chop. The pork was under seasoned but delicious with salt and my step mother said the salmon was the best she could remember having in a long while. Overall, the food is amazing, but they may struggle cooking rare beef. Special side note: the Mac daddy had pulled pork on it. AMAZING. I'm going straight for the pulled pork sandwich next time. Unfortunately they don't make their own bbq sauce (according to my server on this visit). I'm still keeping them at 4 stars. I like the location and the food is good. Even my over cooked burger wasn't dry, it just wasn't how I wanted it. I'll be back, likely in the near future.

I've been here twice for lunch in the past two weeks, and I really liked it. Service has been decent, and beer selection has been great (examples of what I drank: 3F Yum Yum, 3F Wigsplitter, and Bourbon County Coffee). The food was great. Both times I ordered a burger, fries, and a salad and it was plenty to split with my husband. Burger was perfectly cooked to MR (which is important to me), and the toppings were good. I think their menu could use a little more creativity and I wish they had more lighter/healthy options, but that's my only criticism of this place. I would gladly go back in the future.

Sick of Thanksgiving left overs (gasp!) and wanting to catch some of the Colts game, the hubs and I opted for The District Tap for our Sunday late afternoon lunch spot. My first reaction was when I beheld the HUGE concrete patio out front complete with numerous tables and couch-like-seating. I just wish the ambiance was not to overlook the parking lot, an abandoned OOBATZ building, and 82nd street. Anywhoooo...I may just have to test out this patio come warmer weather. **Side note: we asked the hostess if TDT was dog friendly on the patio during warmer weather and she said she doesn't think it is. Sad face. Will definitely have to follow-up on this later. Once inside the decor is clean, modern, and sleek, yet sporty as there is a TV everywhere you look. Each booth has its own little TV! We opted to sit at a seat-yourself high boy table in the bar, but it seems you can bring the whole family and enjoy lunch/dinner at the very large booths surrounding the bar also. Now for the good stuff. Drinks: We each chose to get a flight (4 beers per at $8 a flight) -- mine being on the dark side and my husband choosing the more hoppy/IPA styles. I dinged part of a star for the lack of variety for us dark beer lovers. There were only 5 'dark' choices, and one of the 5 was Guinness (and not an option for the flight anyway). With that said, what I had was good and I was excited to try 4 new-to-me local craft beers. Da Hubs was pleased overall with his light flight. Appetizer time: we chose the Pretzel Breadsticks ($8) served with a white (warm) cheese sauce and some sort of amazing "mustard beer sauce" which ended up being one of my favorite things of the day. I thought it would have been thicker given the description, but it's buttery consistency and slightly zingy taste made me smile. Lunch: Nursing a post-Turkey Day bloat, I just opted for a bowl of their Cactus Chili ($6) for my 'meal' and Danimal got the Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich ($11) with tots -- slaw on the side. My chili was the perfect blend of savory and slightly sweet with good amounts of meat, white beans, corn, and other veggies. Good stuff. I also stole the hub's coleslaw -- which was just that -- but creamy and decently crunchy. Tasted the pork and it had a nice little kick to it. All in all, I think we will return to try more of the food as everything was tasty. I guess I just wasn't prepared to spend $50 on lunch ($41 plus tip). Our server was also very pleasant and stayed around to chat us up a bit. It is no secret that this particular location has seen it's share of businesses come and go. We hope that TDT is here to stay.

First time I went, no complaints. Second time? EVEN BETTER. If you check in on Yelp, you get 10% off your bill! Plus, go for the Patty Melt. Sounds simple, but O-M-G is it good. And the onion rings are some of the best I've ever had. Tons of seating Long beer list Tasty food Great for groups Games and music certain nights

Hope they make,in a good way, is the first thing that comes to mind after my experience here. I have never been to any of the other establishments in this building but this seems to be an area that has had a tough time keeping places open. My sister and her family was in town visiting and my mom agreed to watch all our kids so we could grab dinner and go bowling. The interior is very nice and looks like they put a decent amount of money into the place. We, those that were drinking, stated with drinks which were really liked(two Lucy's and something with blueberry in the name of I remember correctly). After that we got the short rib nacho appetizer which was awesome. The only complaint with this would be they like the chips so high that the chips towards the bottom of the stack didn't get much if any toppings. The food we ordered was BBQ Bourbon Bacon burger and tots, Good Egg burger and fries, Mexacali Mess burger and onion rings, Thai Chicken flatbread(no side comes with this), and Buffalo Chicken mac and breadstick. Everyone enjoyed their food and I personally had the Mexacali Melt but also had some of the Thai chicken flatbread and the buffalo Mac. While my burger and onion rings were great the star to me was the Mac and cheese. It could have used more heat since it is buffalo but it was so creamy and very delicious. It was so good I have been craving it ever since we left. Like I said at the beginning I really hope this place makes it and can't wait to get back for some Mac and cheese.

This newcomer on the beer scene just opened up and I was might impressed after my first visit. The District Tap has all four corners covered with a large, spacious bar, deep booths with personal flat screens, and plenty of tables for small and big groups. There's lot of room to mingle, throw some darts, or take a shot at shuffleboard. I've found my new place to watch football. It's hard to find a place to watch a game and enjoy a brew with a 'lil guy. Not a lot of dining rooms have plenty of flat screens, but the District Tap does. Everywhere you turn you can catch a play and stay on top of the score in and out of the bar. The menu is expansive with flatbreads, sandwiches, burgers, apps, and a large beer and wine list. The stuffed mushrooms are gigantic and can almost be a meal on its own. The sausage flatbread is loaded with banana peppers, spicy Italian sausage, cheese, and sesame seeds. Our server Erin was exceptional. Passionate about the new menu and was eager to make sure we left as fans. I look forward to going back sooner than later. Beware to all you other close by bars/restaurants. Take notice as The District Tap is well on its way to a future of success.

These guys rock! Make yourself happy and go here!!! We had a soccer team and parents (53 in our group) show up on a Saturday and they took us on even with a short staff. Food was good, beer was great, service off the charts!!! Cool patio and great drink list! Awesome food (Mac and cheese pot with bbq pork? YES PLEASE!!) Don't think... Do it!!

Wonderful beer selection full of local and regional breweries. Pricing for beer isn't too high either. Servers and staff were friendly and welcoming. Good variety of food for adults and kids. I have had a mac and cheese pot (delish) and the Mexicali Mess burger. Burger was cooked perfectly and not completely messy. We will be back.

Just had apps and drinks here last night. The building is lovely--great finishes and very attractive. We night we were there was lovely, so the entire street-side wall was open to the patio. Really love having an outdoor seating option in Castleton. For all the hoopla about their drafts I was pretty shocked at how standard they are. While they are primarily local, they are not hard to find or all that unique if you frequent local eateries. We were SO disappointed, as we had hoped to sample some new beers. Nothing new here. We had 2 appetizers that were pretty blah. Not really good, not really bad, but really not worth the calories. If we just wanted a beer and a patio, we might head back here. Certainly won't try the entrees those.

First visited about two weeks ago and had a pretty good experience. The beer selection is better than some other nearby restaurants but not extraordinary. The decor and overall style of the restaurant was relaxing and helped me forget how close to the road and other 'strip mall type' businesses were nearby, but also not extraordinary. The food was pretty good, but again nothing to write home about. I had a burger with an egg on it and while the flavor was good it was a pretty forgettable burger. My fiancé had the fish tacos and he raved about them. I tasted and they were very good. Service was above average in my opinion. The server had few tables as it was not a busy night and he was very attentive. Now for the bad news. We tried going back just last night with a good friend of ours. There appeared to be a fundraiser going on but the hostess told us we could sit on the patio as it was open seating - great! It was a nice night. Then we sat. And we sat. And we sat. There appeared to be one waiter working the patio and he would say a few things to us as he ran by (sweating profusely, I might add) telling us our server would be with us etc. A woman who said she was our server finally came to take our drink orders. After about 25 minutes with no drinks and no server in sight, we left. As we were leaving I saw 4-5 people who appeared to maybe be a mix of hostesses or managers standing behind the hostess stand. I let them know they might want to help out their one poor server outside as we had sat for close to 30 minutes with no drinks let alone a food order. Disappointing experience the second time, and it makes it hard for me to want to go back. Overall this place is a nice addition to this side of town but is average as far as food, drink and service go.

Looks very similar to the original incarnation of the previous establishment. Limestone breeze is the only drink we tried - tastes like apple juice with lime. Beer selection is decent but not quite ale emporium.

I really dig this place. Great indoor/outdoor layout and atmosphere. I think this place is probably your best bet for a casual hangout in the summer with their great patio with fire pits. They have a ton of local beer on tap, and everything I've had to eat here has been unique and fresh and so delicious. I had their cajun mac-n-cheese pot which was rich and excellent, and just spicy enough. My dad had the thai chicken flatbread and wanted to come back for it; he's not easily impressed.

I've been wanting to visit here since they opened and finally made it on a busy Saturday evening around 8. They had a live band starting at 10, which played cover songs. They sat us by the fireplace and the ambience was great, pretty chill/quiet for a bar. I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables and it was tasty. My only complaint with this place is that their prices are high for a bar type of scene. Their craft draft beers are $5/$7 and my cheap brand glass of Moscato was $7. I believe my salmon was like $18. (Let's be honest. I didn't pay for it so I didn't look at the price that much.) We shared the brownie dessert with ice cream and it was AMAZING. Needless to say, we devoured it. They have a lot of tvs around the place, all with different games on and that was great. We had great knowledgeable service and I look forward to going back. *On more recent trips, I've ordered the flatbreads. They are all delicious and a good size for the price.

A Note to Yelpers: when I checked in here I received 10% off my meal. Cha-Ching! The District Tap is a good option for when you're in the Castleton area and want a beer. The tap list is extensive with lots of well-known Indiana beers as well as your other craft favorites (i.e. Dogfish Head, Bell's, Schlafly). I was very content drinking a couple of IPAs. The food menu is a bit off-putting and overwhelming. While some may rave about the equally-extensive options, I'm the opposite. I couldn't figure out what was worth getting--burger, street taco, pasta, flatbread, sandwich, or...shrimp 'n grits? It just didn't seem cohesive, Seeing that I was following the "no meat on Fridays during Lent" rule, I opted for a safe choice and ordered the Superfood Salad. It was good, mainly because it reminded me of something I make at home. All in all, I'm glad to have tried The District Tap, but I'm not itching to go back anytime soon. Maybe I'll enjoy another beer on the outdoor patio.

I am a bit bummed to give three stars, but here is how it all went down. The outside patio- amazing, service- great, pretzel appetizers- spot on, sangria special- yes please. So... Where it went wrong? My buffalo wrap. I felt like having something simple. The sweet potatoes were pretty much cold and meah. I could count them on my both hands. I probably got 7 or 8. Very disappointing. The wrap was awful. It was indelibly salty. I ate half of it since I was starving, but it was really bad. And when I mentioned to the waiter, he pretty much replied- "I'll let the kitchen know to go easy on the salt the next time." Really? Really.... That's all I got in reply. So the excitement about finding a new place with a great patio and drinks, went pretty much from 10 to 0.

Went in on a Saturday afternoon. Four adults and one toddler. The host was quick to accommodate us with a high chair and a more spacious section. The server was kind and friendly, the draft beer list was great, and the food was very good. The Wild Mushroom burger was very good, and cooked as I requested. The only negative was the child's food was served on a HOT plate. The staff should be more aware that serving a hot plate to a child is a very bad idea. No one likes screaming children, especially when they scream in restaurants. Fortunately the parents took proper action before letting the plate near the child. Overall, very good experience.

Hangry and looking for a place to watch football we came to District Tap. It was very busy as excepted during the playoffs and the stars were aligned because we quickly landed seats at the bar. My first observations: great place to watch a game, plenty of TV's, comfortable space, cozy warm fireplace, ample outdoor patio, nice area with shuffleboard & darts. Sitting at the bar we had a lovely view of the 60 taps. Half the taps were local options. I saw a nice representation from Three Floyds, Sunking, Flat12, Triton, Thr3e Wise Men, Quaff On, Scarlet Lane, Upland, etc. This made my Hoosier heart happy. Service was friendly and helpful. Here is where I explain the loss of 2 stars. Beers were on the pricer end. A 14oz pour was $5-6 and a 20oz imperial pint was $7-$8. I actually did a double take when I read 14oz pricing. A standard American pint is 16oz. I felt a bit houdinied. Of course I am going to order the 20oz because that is the better deal however, I am going to want two beers, so instead of paying $10 at Scottys Brewhouse with 16oz pints I am going to pay $14 here. It left me a little sour. We ordered the District Burger & Apple Walnut Salad. I admit, I am a bit of a tightwad. My burger was $12. It was good, portion size was ample, but it wasn't blowing my mind as in $12 blowing my mind. Food & drink is good but the fancy price tag will keep me from returning until the weather is warm and the patio is open. Bummer.

Great atmosphere, great beer selection, great food. We had the firecracker shrimp as an appetizer and completely fell in love with it. We also ordered the Left Coast Chicken Club and Marinated Portobello Flatbread, and let's just say we left with full stomachs and in need of a good nap. I would highly recommend District Tap for any in need of some good food and beer. Can't wait to come back in the summer to sit out on the outdoor patio!

Really nice ambience and suprisingly good live music the night we went. The cactus chili is an absolute must, but you can definitely pass on the crabcakes. Their sandwiches were really good and the nachos going to other tables looked unreal. They have a ton of beers on tap and that was certainly welcome. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. Our eventual server was fine, but everyone else looked miserable like they wanted to be elsewhere. This is a 3.5 star review rounded up to 4.

A standard all-american grill with a pretty good beer list. Overall, an excellent place to watch a game. The mac n' cheese and the flatbread looked the best at our table. A few had burgers that looked pretty meh. We split two $7 desserts that were so-not-worth-it -- basically a Chips Ahoy with some whip cream. Great service with prices you'd expect. Skip dessert.

Are you a Sports Bar, or a Tap House? This business claims to be an upscale craft brew house, but falls utterly flat. My better half and I dropped in for dinner on a Tuesday at 7:30. Good crowd on the patio, a bit lighter inside. We were promptly seated in a booth when we sadly heard the blaring refrain of Trivia Night starting up. Having traveled in the UK, where Pub Quiz nights have been a long standing tradition, I don't mind a friendly trivia game. But here in suburban Indy, this has taken on an evil life of its own. No one wants their ears accosted by a loudspeaker just so you can rattle off idiotic trivia questions. Then, between questions, we are pummeled with equally loud and lame music. We could not converse with our server, much less each other and we were in the back of the restaurant. When did going out become about watching TV and being deafened by a sound system and not speaking to your table mates?? What fun is that? The food (burger, Cajun Mac & Cheese) was fine. Utterly forgettable but edible. The advertised 60+ taps of craft beers was obviously the primary draw for us to stop in and check the place out. Sadly, even this was a bit of a let down as nearly all the offerings were run of the mill, safe, average picks. I ordered a Sun King Wee Mac - I'd have preferred to find something less pedestrian, something I'd not tried before, something I can't pick up at any local liquor store any day of the week. They do get points for being the only bar I've found in town to serve Old Style - having lived in Chicago a number of years I need a fix now and then. Lastly, we were a little surprised even at the flavor of the trivia questions - with families and little ones sitting right there, one particular comment about hermaphrodite Barbie - she comes in her own box! was a bit blue for the 7:30 dinner crowd? And encouraging trivia players to buy shots for extra points on a Tuesday at dinner seemed out of place. Did I mention there is a TV screen actually on the table of every booth? Seriously? In closing, if you thought this was going to be an awesome Tap House with amazing beer, good food, and a friendly atmosphere where you can hang out all night and enjoy your friends - it's not. It's a half-assed sports bar with average food, average wait staff, horrible acoustics, hundreds of TVs, average beer options, and an atmosphere that makes you want to scarf down your food and leave as quickly as possible. Just another disappointing Indy Sports Bar. We have SO many of those already - why not stand out from the crowd and be something different? Sadly, this is a fail.

Great atmosphere. It was crazy outside, but quiet, wide, and spacious inside. We had the Buffalo chicken wrap (good and spicy) and the grilled Mahi Mahi tacos (delicious). The Dorian Stout was really good too. Great beer selections, though I wish they had more darks. Family friendly inside, if one is to judge based on the two white-haired women sitting with a daughter and granddaughter, the latter wearing a Storm Trooper mask.

While I highly recommend the district club sandwich and have always had a good experience....I have learned to not stray from my regular selection. I decided to try out the Mexicali mess burger, with queso, pico and guac. When the burger arrived I was expecting a messy delicious burger but when I got it.... It looked like a plain burger . I ended up taking it apart to figure out where the queso or guac was. The queso was spread thin on the top of the bun like a light touch of mayo. The guacamole was no where to be found under a bushel of lettuce. I felt bad having to ask the waitress to add some more, but the burger was $13 and I thought it was going to be a specialty burger not a plain one. When it came back I had gotten a little more queso and no more guac. The burger itself was okay, maybe one of the other choices would have created a better experience for me. But it wasn't worth the money to any extent. While I will still frequent The District Tap and recommend it to friends, I'll stick with the club sandwich. I have never been disappointed with it and their onion rings are crazy good too. So go check it out but be careful what you order .

Joined and bunch of friends for a birthday party here. We had the back room reserved for a Sunday brunch. This place is really nice inside, Beautiful woodwork everywhere you turn. The private room we were in was just as nice. Wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, we wanted some bloody Mary's and she knew all about them and told us about a vodka they use called Peppar' Vodka, not sure of the spelling. The drinks were very good and all the appetizers we had were very good as well.

Nice selection of tap beer. The restaurant is very stylish and open. They have nice dart boards and shuffle boards. I started out with the fried pickles which were delicious. I ordered the pork chops as my entree. It comes with a citrus habanero glaze, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. The pork chop was under done. After I asked my server if it was supposed to be so rare he informed me that it is not. The assistant chef made the error and the manager took care of our bill and the head chef remade my meal to go. The pork chop is absolutely amazing. I'm excited to come back and try more stuff.

Love the outdoor seating, our waitress Chelsea was fantastic, she was attentive and did not rush us. There were 4 of us, it was Sangria Saturday and it was ok. We had the stuffed mushrooms for appetizer very spicy and tasty. Then my main entree was the Chicken and Waffles, amazing! Yummy! Love the beer and specialty drink options.

Came here after a looooong day at work because it was open late and near the hotel we were staying at. The staff was nice and although the food wasn't amazing it hit the spot for the time. The environment is great to just chill and try one of their numerous beer options, especially the local ones! The night I was there they had a live band which was fine but a bit too loud. Found myself yelling at the people I was sitting with. If you're looking for a ton of beer options and a cool place to chill this is great. If you're looking for amazing food keep driving.

The District Tap opened for business just a couple weeks ago in the space formerly occupied by both the Music Mill and Brewstone Brewery. It's the kind of space that you'd assume to be good for business considering its close proximity to both Castleton and Keystone, but it's a space that has had its share of problems. The District Tap may very well break that trend if it keeps attracting a steady flow of business anything like what I experienced on a Sunday afternoon. The place is decked out with both personal flat screen televisions and large flat screens throughout. The District Tap weaves together the bar and restaurant atmosphere nicely with a central bar area, private rooms, an area for shuffleboard, an area for darts, an outside dining area for Indiana's warmer months, and a large beer and wine list that may not be the biggest list I've seen in Indy but should have something to please just about everyone. The menu has pleasing diversity and goes beyond the usual bar fare with a definite flair including flatbreads, burgers, appetizers, and other sandwiches. As near as I could tell, all the sandwiches came with a side. It may sound weird that I chose what could easily be considered a sports bar to try to have a relaxing Sunday lunch while reading my newspaper, but it ended up being a great choice. While the televisions were going, mostly on football, and the overhead rock music was on, neither were so overwhelming that you couldn't enjoy being with your friends or, in my case, enjoy sitting there and reading a newspaper. While they had several different burgers, I opted for a BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich that came on a brioche bun topped with onion rings with cole slaw on the bottom of the sandwich. Sound weird? It is a bit different, but not that uncommon for this kind of sandwich and it worked out quite nicely. The sandwich was proportioned perfectly and neither the pork nor the cole slaw overwhelmed the other.. I'm not exactly an experimental eater, but I was definitely happy with the meal. I chose tater tots as my side and was happy with both serving size and taste. The District Tap serves Hubbard & Cravens Iced Tea, a nice touch to choose local, and the server was sure to get me my refill. I will admit that I was a bit nervous as I headed in and arrived at the host table to a host who seemed a little unsure where to seat someone in a wheelchair. I could sense their hesitation, but they found an appropriate location that also gave me a view of a television (one of the few that was not on football!). The District Tap loses a star primarily because I was disappointed with how much of the restaurant is not wheelchair friendly. If the place had been super packed, I'd have had a horrible time getting around, and I'm guessing only 25% of the seating areas would qualify as truly wheelchair friendly. My server was top notch. He was attentive without being intrusive. He also checked back in an appropriate number of times, made sure I received a refill, and didn't flinch when I wanted to sit a bit longer and finish my newspaper. Overall, The District Tap is a welcome addition to Indy's Northside dining options and a great option for those wanting to catch sports with children or the family in tow. With, as they say, "damn good food," lots of brews, and a friendly and accommodating staff The District Tap set me back less than $15.00 for a quality meal in a busy yet relaxing atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

Huge rectangular bar Beautifully decorated Fireplace, stone, wood planks on walls Garage doors that open to a huge patio Booths on north wall by 5 tvs High top tables around bar Lower eating tables and darts & shuffleboard beyond bar (east side). Bar overhang (still lots of room) with mix of Edison light fixtures Huge selection or craft beers and still carry the mass brew favorites Cannot imagine the money that went into initially building this place. Very nice. Gets busier after work hours. Good looking crowd. Food is very good. Nice wooden bar top with no rail but an odd piece of hard rubber screwed on to the edge. Very strange and takes away from look. Nice large box footrest. Bar face is also decorated. No bar back to speak of, mostly bottles and beer taps. Several hdtvs carrying all the games.

Went on a Thursday while radio state Alt103 was there giving away prizes. The ambiance was a little messed up as a result but nonetheless I really liked the place. We sat just inside the patio, which had lots of comfortable seating options. The beer selection was impression IMO. I'm a cider gal usually but like to try the fruity beers and they can be hard to find. I got to try 2 things I hadn't had before. For food I had the Bottlecap (burger). I expected it to be a little spicier but I gobbled it up anyway. The place has a nice pub feel to it but not in a divey way---it has some class. I'm looking forward to going back when there isn't something going on to get a real feel of the place and try out more of the menu.

So, my husband asked the server "I see you have Scarlet Lane Dorian Stout. Which version is it?" She replied " Well, it's a dark one." If the name Tap weren't in the restaurant name I wouldn't be as bothered. If your name puts you out there as specializing in beer, then the management needs to take the time to train ALL the servers, not just the bar tenders. We were seated in the bar. The food is ok. Nothing to rave about, but not terrible.

It was my first time going. I went with my Mom and sister, upon checking in on Yelp, I was given a 10% discount. My Mom ordered the pretzels with dipping sauces as an appetizer. They were really good. I enjoyed the beer cheese dipping sauce. I ordered the greek salad with cajun shrimp. It was so good. Loved the feta cheese they put in it. They definitely give you a good portion. I was full after finishing it. I will definitely return.

As I said in my first review, this place was so close. After coming back here a few more times, the service has gotten much better. I've also had much better luck with the food. The shrimp po' boy is really good, the hummus plate is a necessity for me at this point. I recently had the BBQ Chicken salad, and it was great. The combination of the barbecue sauce, corn and fried onion straws was dynamite and everything was cooked perfectly. I love having the huge beer selection and being able to try out new ones that you don't normally see. Definitely a good spot.

I have never in my life had such a horrible experience at a bar. The customer service here is awful! We came with a group of 7 so you would think we would be treated well since we were obviously going to spend a lot...nope. We were given a small squished table in the back right next to the shuffle board. It was made for 4 people. We asked to be moved when a larger table opened up and needless to say I never saw that hostess again and we were there for 3 hours. We asked to play shuffle board as soon as we sat down since we were literally on top of it. The waitress said ok. It took FOREVER to get drinks. We barely saw our waitress and when we did she was obviously in a rush and looking down so no one would ask her for anything. During our 3 hours there we got 2 rounds of drinks total and the second one we had to complain for. That's ridiculous. And once we ordered they took 20 minutes to come out and they forgot two of our orders. And one they just brought her last order when she wanted something new. We asked our waitress three more times for the shuffle board. She said she couldn't find the pieces. Few minutes later another group of people come up with pieces from the manager and start playing. We state that we've been waiting here for two hours for it and he says we should have asked our waitress and gives them the game. Our waitress when we finally grabbed her, said she was sorry and gave us a round for free. So 3 hours there only 2 drinks and no game and the worst part was no one that worked there even cared. Never going to return. I prefer to have a few drinks when I go to a bar.

Great service, beer selection, atmosphere and menu. Price was reasonable. Very similar to Hop Cat but I think this place is much better! Will definitely be back! We shared everything. The buffalo mac, district cobb and the short rib sandwich with tater tots. All were delicious.

Food is excellent. Comfort good with a twist. Short Rib French Dip is a great example, the great flavors you would expect but with the added flavor of the short ribs. Beer selection is top notch. Lots of local and fair prices. Larger glasses than most places. A great place to hang out with friends with multiple shuffle board tables. Variety of private rooms as well. Seems like a good formula to succeed in a building that has had troubles. My second choice for food on this block (there is a Chik-fil-a in front after all).

I know....they are new. They should get a free pass b/c they are new. I get that. Again Yelp -- would love a HALF star, b/c they were BETWEEN (A-OK and MEH but unfortunately leaning towards MEH). I think the issues lie in the service and less in the food. Buuuut service can really ruin a meal. THAT being said, EVERYONE starts with 5 stars. You only have stars to LOSE and for DT, they just kept losing them half star at a time and this is where we ended up. It started off wonderful. The bar staff is your saving grace, DT, but the rest of the people we encountered need some fine tuning in graciousness, politeness and conversational skills. We arrived an hour before our party to have drinks and apps at the bar. We had the hummus (which was roasted red pepper, clearly homemade and absolutely wonderful). Not quite enough pita bread (why so crispy? Fried? but otherwise, delish. We also ordered the ahi tuna app which came with a little salad which was AWESOME (the salad not the ahi). The ahi was too thinly (not very generous for $12 I think) sliced and there was little to no flavor. I don't want to drench it in soy sauce, TYVM. But that little salad....super good! Drinks were fine -- extensive enough list and good options with full bar and Scott was great! He was on top of things, very cool and easy to have a conversation with regarding the choices on the menu. He was clearly a fan favorite as well, having already established a few "regulars" who greeted him like they were besties (maybe they were!). Very nice guy. However, things go a bit downhill from there. We greeted the hostess to find out at 6:15 if we could get a table for 6 at 7PM. We realized they were getting busy and we wanted to put our name in. My husband requested and she said no, we would need to check in at 6:45 to see what was available. ????? What? She said she couldn't put our names in. OK -- can we have a table now? No. OK, we'll wait until 6:45. My husband said "I am now dumber from having that conversation". I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, and as our party arrived, we camped out at the bar. At 6:45 on the dot my husband went back to find out it would be 30 (!!) minutes for a table....um, OK, what was going on at 6:15 and why couldn't our name go in? So weird. At 7:20 (35 minutes) he went to check on our table (our party of 6 was drinking at the bar -- still). It would be "2 minutes longer while they pushed some tables together to 'accommodate us'". OOOOOK. We waited another 15 minutes and our BARTENDER finally noticed we had been waiting FO-EVAH for this silly table. She spoke with someone and we were IMMEDIATELY (like no wait) seated in a booth. The manager came by and offered us a free round of drinks - THANK YOU! Soooo nice. But unfortunately, things got weirder from there. Our server (didn't catch his name, but he was not interested -- I'll tell you that) took our drink orders. I shared with him that we were offered a free round for our wait. He either didn't seem to hear or didn't care....he took the orders. Then when he came back for our orders, we all had a few questions about the menu. It was clearly loud b/c he "couldn't hear us". He didn't get close enough to hear for one thing but two, he insisted we repeat ourselves with each order. In addition, I asked which HE preferred - carnitas or short rib tacos. He said that he preferred the carnita b/c the short rib was out. OOOOK. Done. However, less than one minute later my friend who hadn't heard they were out, ordered them and they were suddenly available. Um, ok. The short rib FOR THE RECORD were much better than the carnita. I would have loved the opportunity to eat all three of them. Once the bills came, we were in yet another "situation". He didn't remove the drinks. Shocked. He eventually came back with them removed and we could finally leave at 9:15 PM. While I enjoy a long dinner, this was FAR from relaxing. We were out on a rare triple date and yet.....could not really chill and enjoy b/c we were too busy checking on our table, reminding the server what we needed and not being offered more rounds of alcohol to keep our party going. I will come back and sit at the bar, but probably would not recommend until they get this service situation under control. The food didn't suck but you know, I don't need to partake in less than stellar (in other words, Meh - I've had better) service experience for $80 bar food/drink.

Nice atmosphere. Decent menu. Good music but way TOO Loud. Don't need the fans blowing on high on patio when its under 75 degrees. As soon as we finished our salads waitress gave us the check. Guess she figures cause we are older we weren't going to hang around. Guess she won't get a good tip tonight from me at least.

Went for dinner a few weeks ago. The beer options were vast (though at 7 months pregnant, I can only sample the hubby's sampler. Nothing really special to write home about. He went with a little of everything, and where as my pallet is a little sharper in determining flavors, his is definitely more open. I'm a stout/porter snob. He'll do just about anything outside of a wheat, he's just not a fan. The food was ok. He had a burger and it was a bit dry. I had a salad. The blackened chicken on the salad was "funny tasting". I can't pin point it, but it was just off, so it was put to the side on my plate and ignored. The décor hasn't changed since new ownership began, and even then it was nothing to write home about, other than the old location offered Dragon's Milk. Overall, not bad, but nothing I would got out of my way to recommend or return to in the near future.

I love that this place has like a million tabs. The food was pretty good. The atmosphere was fun. There was trivia going on and there were darts and shuffleboard. I would definitely go back to this place. The only reason it's getting 3 stars instead of 4 is because it was so cold! Like freezing. I was wearing long sleeves and a scarf and was still really uncomfortable

District Tap has become our new spot for Saturday afternoon football watching. The space used to be home to Brewstone (our former Saturday game watching spot), but they have changed some of the areas. We miss the couches and columns of TVs, but the game room is a nice addition. There is now a game area with darts and shuffleboard. Either can be rented by the hour or half hour. Unfortunately, we had some under 21 attendees and you have to be 21 to be in the game area. At least the waiter was kind when he informed us about that fact. There are plenty of televisions around, so you can watch any football/basketball/soccer/... game that's on. We tried the mac daddy mac (macaroni and cheese with pulled pork on top), Baja fish tacos, and patty melt. The star of those 3 was the fish taco plate. The sauce on the tacos was good, but they benefited from some extra pico (which the waiter happily supplied upon request).

I'm a fan of the Tap. The food is solid, and will get better as they gain experience in their kitchen. The burgers are already on point. Cooked perfectly and not so big that you feel like you need to be rolled out of there. And toasted buns...why doesn't everyone do that?!?! The shuffle board tables are great. It's easy to learn and hard to master. The tables are brand new and very nice. And then there's the beer. Delicious and wide selection. I know that there are a ton of taps in town these days, and some places may have more, but I met the bar manager Brent, and he took the time to talk to me about the beers and the choices that he made for those taps, complete with some tastings. That kind of service and product knowledge goes a long way with me. I even have a new favorite beer. We will be back many times and hope to see it continue to get better as time goes by.

I have not eaten here yet, so I will review the ambiance and the drinks. I have been here a couple of times since it has opened, twice for private parties in their separate room. It's a great space to host a private party, although I have frozen both times as the smokers prop the door open so they don't get locked out. This probably wouldn't be an issue on warmer days. The rest of the bar area is usually packed. It's one of the few nightlife places on the north side right now, and beware: parking is a pain on Friday and Saturday nights. They have a great selection of taps and a full bar, but they are a tad expensive. If you are in the private party rooms, some items are even more expensive than at the main bar. I assume that is to help pay for the room fee? I mostly go here because they have the seasonal Traveler, The Jolly, on tap!

You can't go wrong by choosing The District Tap. From the atmosphere, to the abundance of TV's, to the eclectic menu, to the impressive beer selection, DT has it all and gets it right. This is a great place for groups to gather for an evening of food, drink, and entertainment, or simply for a couple friends to hang out and watch sports all day. At the time of this review the patio was not yet open for the spring weather, but it looks like it's going to be a great place to sample a few of your favorite beverages on a hot summer day or warm summer night. The staff has always been great and very accommodating. Their bartenders are some of the best in the business. I highly recommend checking out The District Tap! Edited: Sadly I must downgrade. Horrible experience today. Mid 60's and they weren't staffed for patio. We had a server help us for a couple hours, we cashed out when he left (he was great) then we got a new server. She was fine, then disappeared for 20 minutes at 6:10 for a server meeting. We had joiners and got no service. I finally found a manager who said they weren't staffed for the patio so we'd have to go to the bar. This is after waiting 20 minutes with open tabs and no word from anyone. We had to close out (only because I asked) and order from the bar. Just horrible communication. I love this place but this is a major issue and needs to be resolved.

The service was good and the beer list was great. Lots of local beers to select. However, I felt the food was merely ok. The soup of the day (corn chowder, one of my favorites) didn't have any pizzaz to it. The cactus chili is offered every day and it was decent. There was a nice horseradish mustard on the sliders, but note: the garden side salad is just that - a garden on a plate. No cheese, bacon, eggs or anything fatty. And the ranch wasn't the best. I may come back again with a group of friends and split some appetizers and drink lots of beer, but overall everything seemed ok at best.

This is my favorite bar on the Northside, Great beer, music on the patio almost every night you visit, and the burgers are out of this world! Definitely great ambiance and a very friendly staff, plus craft beer night on Thursday lets you sample most of the 60 taps for $3 a pour.

The District Tap was wonderful. We had a party of four and sat at a four top next to the bar. We were greeted by Dante who was one of the best waiters I have ever had. The food was amazing. We had onion rings that were out of this world. I had the Buffalo Wrap which was both spicy to perfection and crunchy. My side was White Cheddar Mashed Potatoes. The Bottle Cap, Shrimp Po Boy, and the Cajun Mac was also ordered. We could not say enough about the flavor of the food. It was all wonderful. Because of being St. Patrick's Day weekend all beers were not available but they still had a variety of choices. We all look forward to going here again soon. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Ok place. Plenty of bar seats and TV's everywhere. Shuffle boards and darts too! Menu is a good selection. Bar staff seems to be well knowledgeable. Menu is not necessarily gluten free friendly and they only offer one cider out of their 60 taps.

We went on a Sunday for lunch. 3 hostesses seemed confused about where to seat us, but there were only 2 tables with people at them in the whole restaurant. Our waitress wasn't knowledgable about the menu at all. Burgers were ok. I ordered the Rueben, it was terrible. The pastrami was like jerky, and when they brought it out, it was pastrami a tiny bit of sauerkraut and bread. They forgot the Swiss and sauce! The waitress took it back and they slapped some cold Swiss and a dab of sauce on it and brought it back out. I was not impressed. Probably won't be returning. It's too bad because the atmosphere is great and the restaurant is beautiful.

Only had lunch, but I'll be back for dinner. Sliders were awesome and cooked perfectly. I have heard good things and I love the decor inside. Very warm and lodge-like.

Different name.... Same shit service. Ordered fairly quickly after we were seated at the bar then had an empty glass in front of me for about 20 minutes as well as a menu. Was finally asked if we wanted another drink but didn't ask if we wanted to order food.

The food was great! But I am only giving 2 stars because the service was terrible. Our waitress didn't ask how we were doing, it took forever for our drinks, and she didn't even care about how our food was. It's sad that this place (location) can't seem to figure out that people like to be cared for and to get what they pay for! May check it out again in a few months to see if they get any better... That is, if it's still there by then.

Ok place. A bit of a rehash of the previous occupant. Beer list was good but the zombie dust was a 10 oz pour? WTF? We decided to get an app and go somewhere else. The appetizer menu was sad.

This is a great place for food and fun. My boyfriend loves the beer selection and I like the decor and casual menu. I've only been here during the week, so I'm not sure what it's like on the weekends, but I have noticed that they always have signs for weekend sports or holiday events. Definitely more fun in a group.

Kind of reminds me of Brewstone, yo. The service is better than Brewstone though so I hope they make it. This location is kind of doomed. The food was good. The beer was good. But the prices were $2-$3 more expensive than they should have been. The District Tap's best bet is to find a niche with older high rollers who have some extra money to burn. Otherwise, this spot will close within two years.

This place was really cool inside. I absolutely loved looking around at everything. Our server was super sweet and extremely attentive. As soon as I looked for her she was right there so I really liked that. The food was good. I loved the tater tots. They were the bomb. My only issue with the place was that it was slam packed in there. In their defense, it was a Saturday night. Parking was pretty bad too. It's a small lot. I gave this place four stars because of the above. I will go back on a non weekend day to see what it's like. Another thing that bugged me was that someone has a kid and they were drinking. People, get a sitter and leave your kids at home. You shouldn't be out driving after drinking with your kids! Super cute kid though, just stupid parents.

3 star for shuffle board tables. All are warped and are impossible to keep a puck on the table

The service at the Bar needs a lot of work. As being a life long bartender, I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. With this place being new to Indy (and have been part of opening a new restaurant) there are always kinks to work out. But with it not being busy, the lack of attention from the staff was disappointing. Then the attitude (Bartender Scott) we got when we asked for asparagus that DID NOT have fibrous end still on them, was a bit angering. The food was a hit or miss. My hummus, amazing(even took the left overs home!!) . The ahi Tuna...... DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!! The Ruben average, the mahi tacos were great! Drinks were great, but I was never asked if I liked the beer I tried, as it sat half full in front of me. With the band being loud, we still should not have to flag bartenders for silver wear, more drinks, and just questions about food! I will say Dan was a great help and did make were the others slacked! I will be back to give it another try!! So, let's see some change!

We walked in to watch the Kentucky Derby - The place was empty. The two women behind the bar couldn't be bothered with either walking over to see what we wanted or to send a waitress over. Needless to say after ten minutes, we walked to the bar (gee I'm sorry I interrupted you from your phone) I had a beer, my friend ordered a Margherita. The Bartender never asked Frozen or on ice - she never asked, salt or no salt. The drink came and it was horrible. It was sickeningly sweet. It was all sour mix. I personally think she used something other than tequila, but my friend refused to drink it and ordered a Blue Moon - the bartender never asked if she wanted an Orange. The service was so bad, we paid our bill and walked next door to DRAKE'S and had a GREAT time watching the race, engaging in small talk with the bartenders, and the food was FANTASTIC - When thinking of the District Tap, save yourself the aggravation and just walk over to DRAKES !!!

We stumbled across this place during the holiday season when a busy shopping adventure left us tired and desperately craving a good beer and a place to relax. We were very pleased when we walked into the District Tap! Even though this place was pretty new when we dined here, it seemed to have ironed out all the kinks already. Their draft beer selection was exactly what you would expect from a place with "tap" in its name. They offered what appeared to be an endless selection of craft, local and unique beers. This place is like Twenty Tap on steroids! The service was great; the food was good; the atmosphere was warm and inviting. They have a massive fire place, three awesome shuffleboard tables and darts. Their dining room and bar are both very large, so I can't imagine having to wait long for a table even on a busy evening. They also appeared to have space for events which seemed like it would be a lot of fun. I can't wait to go back!

Good food & great service. The burger was great - moist and flavorful. The beer selection was a little less than expected for a location promoting "tap" brews. The menu was more extensive than Brewstone (the previous resident). We would return.

I had high hopes for District Tap but here's how it disappointed: 1. Made a reservation online - hostess can't find reservation upon arrival. 2. I read so much about the great atmosphere - seated in some back room with no great atmosphere. 3. Beer list is not impressive. 4. Below average food - it wasn't horrible but wasn't great. 5. Service was AWFUL. I have never seen a server be so bad. She ignored us, forgot drinks, gave our drinks to other tables, refused to speak when we asked her questions, never offered drink refills, never checked to see how food was, etc.

They have awesome shuffle board tables and a decent amount of beers on tap, however, I'm not sure whether or not this place is trying to be a bar or restaurant. If you're looking to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night I wouldn't go to district tap because you can't stand around and drink. You have to wait for a table and trust me the wait is not attractive.
