The food was DELICIOUS causing my belly to extend. All my food items had the best textures. Crispy yeast rolls. Tender sirloin steak. Mixed veggies of broccoli & carrots. Sweet potato. All so good!!!! It was my first time at this Texas Roadhouse. I was quite surprised to get such excellent food during their 4 - 6 PM dinner special -- $2 off my entree. Free peanuts too.

I've lived on the eastside for many years, so I've come to appreciate good service when I get it. I wanted to let you know you have very pleasant and out going lil' girl named "Tiny" working in the carry-out station. She did an awesome job. Kudos for having her on your team Texas Road House!

Been to Roadhouse around MO quite a bit so I knew what I was getting into. Love the bread and honey butter. This was however the first time I got something besides a filet or strip steak. Had the BBQ chicken breast and it was very good. Tender, juicy, and the sauce was sweet and smokey. Also tried the fried pickles, very good as well. Staff was super friendly and quick.

Overall, I don't eat at chain restaurants unless I have to, but this is one exception. I am glad to see this location back in action after an unfortunate fire. I love the $7.99 dinner specials between 4-6 pm Monday through Thursday, especially the 6 oz sirloin. Try not to stuff yourself with the yummy oven fresh yeast rolls and cinnamon butter because if you do, you might not be able to finish your dinner. I dinged them 1 star because our server tonight was kind of a tool. He was charming, but he mixed up our order and we had to flag him down to get my mom more coffee and to get our check paid. This location is less hectic than Southport and closer to my house, so I'll be back.

I rather grudgingly went here at the request of friends, and you know -- it's really not bad at all! Certainly an improvement over Outbook. Problem is, these restaurants are all so similar in concept that I get them confused. Logan's Roadhouse? Colorado Steakhouse? Lone Star Steakhouse? Oh, I think that one went out of business. This place has peanuts on the table, which can create a little mess, but oh well. The bread is nothing to get excited about, but the dinner salad was quite fresh and nice, with good blue cheese dressing. I was so excited to see a 6 oz. sirloin on the menu, because at most restaurants a modestly-sized steak is available only in a fillet. And the steak was cooked perfectly! The baked potato was the typical mushy thing you always get at these places, but for a moderately-priced chain steakhouse, I would come back again.

Gave it a go while I was traveling and was pleasantly surprised at how great of an experience it was. I had a 8oz steak which was cooked perfectly. Food was fast and service was outstanding. Need I say more?

I been here to the Roadhouse many times. If I want to have a good steak or fried dill pickles; he heading to the roadhouse! I like that I can eat peanuts and leave the shells on the floor lol. I like the Country fried steak but also love the ribs and chicken dinner! Sometime the place can be too loud for my taste but when you have business popping in its bound to happen.

I have to admit that a gift certificate was the leading cause for our recent our Outback Steakhouse adventure. I grew up eating at chain restaurants of this sort in the sticks of eastern Indiana where the weekend dining decisions would sound something like "Olive Garden or Texas Roadhouse?" Or, my favorite, Cracker Barrel. All this to say, it's been awhile since I've been to an establishment where "fast" and "more, more, more" appears to be the goal at hand. Disclaimer: this is all coming out snobbier than I intended. Here's why our experience fell more into the 3 star category than the 4 or 5: -45 minute wait (totally not their fault but I'd rather spend my time doing something else than hanging out in a lobby) -limited truly healthy options - the focus appears to be more on calories than quality and what type of ingredients are being used -both of our meals were supposed to come with sides that were left off and had to be corrected -the steak tacos left something to be desired in both flavor and how much fat the meat was covered in

We were regular customers until our last visit. Steak was ordered by my friend. It arrived grey without grill marks or seasoning. I was embarrassed. I would not serve a steak like that to my guest. The server was nice enough but inexperienced & rough around the edges. In general the food quality, staff quality and cleanliness has all gone down hill. I'm disappointed as now I have one more reason drive to another side of town for a good dining experience. Bummer

We were on our way to Shelbyville and decided to eat at this location since we had gift cards. Normally I eat at the Avon, IN location and have always had top notch service and food, but this Shadeland location, not so much. Let me count the ways this location is terrible: 1) Seated immediately but the table we were brought to wasn't cleaned off, thus we stood around for 5 minutes while the hostess ran around trying to find a busboy. 2) I ordered my diet coke, which comes out tasting off. I made my hubby taste to confirm I'm not crazy, and he said it tastes like Dr. Pepper. Tell our waitress, and she explains that the night before the Mr.Pibb and Diet lines were crossed. Supposedly they bled the lines out and that I must have a sensitive soda palate. She can get me something else to drink. Yeah, I want fracking Diet Coke! I noted many other customers complain during our meal about the soda, you'd think they warn people ahead of time? Nope. 3) I ordered chili with my meal. It didn't come until I inquired about it. 4) The place was filthy, dirty napkins and non-peanut food on the floor. Which was baffling because we came at ~4:20PM, not like it was prime supper time. 5) I noted more staff just standing around than working. A table next to us had a woman seated and any chance she got a fellow waitress friend would just sit down and chat. Crazy unprofessional. Tells me the manager is non-existent. Keep in mind there are plenty of dirty tables that she could help clear in her section. 6) Even the peanuts sucked. All broken and shriveled, like the bucket has never been cleaned and shells actually tossed out. I'd avoid this location. The food tasted fine, but the ambiance and professionalism just took away from the experience, this place needs new management badly. I'll just keep going to the Avon location.

Texas Roadhouse has THE BEST Ribeye steak in the city of Indianapolis! Whenever I crave a flavorful, juicy, mouth-watering steak I go to Texas Roadhouse and ask for a ribeye. Fantastic! The best in the city! No steak sauce needed. Seasoned beautifully. Sooo good.

Just average fare here, edible but nothing special. Steak was way over seasoned, so much sodium that I've needed a gallon of water to flush to sodium out of my body! Service was decent, no complaints there. Dinner rolls were tasty with flavored butter. Everything else was pretty standard from a chain restaurant. To be honest, when back in the same area; I'd choose somewhere else to try. Also, the noise level was pretty high.

So after my horrible experience at this location, I called the 1-800 number that was recommended to me by a corporate member. I was told I would be receiving a gift card. 2 weeks later and still nothing. I wish 0 stars was an option. So disappointed in TRH.

We ate here ten days ago. I ordered the half of a baked chicken, with vegetables. The piece if chicken I got was tiny. It was not a half. It was a leg and thigh. If the chicken weighed more than an 1/8th pound I'd be surprised. Oh and the vegetables? A really small bowl of Broccoli and carrots covered in cheese whiz, and microwaved way too long. I will never go back.

Don't waste your time or money here if you want steak - I've been here twice, both times were carryout - the first time I had Catfish (farm-raised in America...not the stuff raised in the filthy Mekong Delta in Vietnam) - it was good, and not an easy item to find in Indy restaurants - the sides were good, too - last night, I was in a steak mood - ordered big...the 16oz. Ft. Worth Ribeye, medium rare - WHAT A WASTE! - eating the $20 bill it cost would have been better - it could have been any kind of meat cooked on a COOL hotplate, with grill marks drawn on with a Sharpie - absolutely NO SEARING OR CHARRING - all GREY insIde and outside - like slowly well-done...yuk! - I'm giving up on these chain steakhouses - Outback used to be good and reliable...no more - steakhouse chains are like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get, but it's bad more often than it's good - too expensive to experiment with - Bye Bye Texas Roadhouse

Waited for everything; table, drinks, food, refills, hot sauce, ugh... Can't order the Roadkill any less done than medium well, and the waiter probably won't tell you. Not my best experience here, but it's always busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Maybe it was all just a fluke?

Texas roadhouse is consistent but never savory or mouthwatering. The pictures on the menu don't look very appetizing, very chain restaurant like, deep fried and bland. The cactus blossom is good to share as an app but it usually sits in a bowl with grease at the bottom - thank goodness for the spicy sauce to cover up the oily taste layered below the breading. I usually go for the sirloin, cooked rare. Sometimes it's raw, sometimes it's med-well but never quite the seared rare taste I seek. The house salad is really good, lettuce is always fresh and their ranch dressing is very creamy. My boyfriend usually orders ribs or pulled pork and both are always dry but nothing an extra side of BBQ sauce can't fix. The one perk is the house margarita. It's $6.50 but you can add on a side of patron for $1.50 more and it always makes for a strong drink for $8. Overall, nothing spectacular but a decent steak place if you seek a cheap meal.

I don't prefer chain restaurants especially when it comes to steaks or BBQ but I do enjoy free lunch from a co-worker so I come to dine here every once in a while. The food is not bad, love the roll and honey butter, obviously. The servers are always very friendly and attentive. Love the steak fries and they have a nice honey mustard recipe. I've only ever ordered the pulled pork sandwich and there is a lot of meat on that bad body. I can barely finish half most of the time. But as far as atmosphere and original quality food, I can find that elsewhere and prefer to.

Disclaimer: Truth be told - in all frankness - I kinda avoid the canned steakhouse varietal in favor of a less homogenized presentation. And I have steered away from this place because the clod kickin' music can be too loud. But this is where our guest of honor chose being a birthday celebration of sorts. We arrived early on a Sunday lunch (recommended). Our server was diligent and prompt. Our orders were served quickly from the kitchen EXACTLY as we ordered them (kudos to the server and to the kitchen crew). Our table selected 6 oz sirloin (medium), single pork chop (no peppercorn sauce) and cheese burger (loaded, medium). Sides of garden salads, Caesar salad, french fries, and baked potatoes. Pork Chop and sirloins were rated high. A- My burger was Most Excellent. (and, in a way, it pains me a bit to state that) Cooked exactly to order - seasoned perfectly - loaded with the garden and while there was no mustard on the table, it was brought on the side w/ my order - w/ no reminder. My only complaint still; the music is too loud. Will I return? Probably and bit a less grudgingly.
