Am I really reviewing a Chinese buffet? Yes I am. Am I really talking to myself and typing it out? That seems to be the case. I wasn't planning to stop here today for lunch. I wasn't really in the mood for anything in particular. I've passed this place dozens of times because I work nearby. I popped open my Yelp app to check the reviews and saw 3 1/2 stars so I figured why not (I never go anywhere with less than 3. Not sure if that's good or bad, but it's a fact). Let's get to it. The place is huge and very clean. It had a decent variety of Chinese and American cuisine. All pretty standard stuff, but a slightly larger selection than most places. The food was solid and the warm stuff was warm and the cold stuff was cold. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because of the price ($9 including drink) and the fact that sushi and the hibachi grill is included with the lunch buffet. I didn't try either because I was full from the other stuff. But thought it was pretty incredible that you could get ALL of that for the low price of $9. Anyway, if you work nearby, it's a nice option if you are in the mood for a buffet. But I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here.

Almost everything I got from the buffet was lukewarm, mushy, and bland. A welcome exception was the crab Rangoon.

Food was really good. My family and I were regular customers until a couple of months ago. The cashier charged my sister for an extra drink but when we got our table she kept trying to tell our waitress and she didn't understand us. So after eating we went back to the register and tried to tell the cashier what was going on. Not only did she claim they lost our receipt, she tried to pretend she didn't know what was going on and then gave my sister some change back that wasn't even enough to cover the drink she didn't get. My sister asked for a manager and they took their sweet time (the host was laughing like it was a joke) until my sister started to get loud. Then when we turned around to leave the cashier all of the sudden wanted to help. They have good food (although the quality has gone down a lot in the past few months), but the service is horrible.

I had a craving for sushi and my son likes chinese. The Teppanyaki Grill was close so we decided to check it out. When we walked in there was a pretty big fountain with various chinese buildings in it; kinda neat. On the inside it's your basic buffet/chinese decor. The buffet is clean and the food is decent. There is a mongolian grill in the back where a chef will prepare your selections from a seperate bar for you if you are not into regular buffet style eating. There is also a sushi bar. I have to admit I was a little anxious about eating the sushi but I'm happily reporting that I did not get food poisoning from the sushi buffet. For my son and myself it was just under $20.00. For the price, this is a pretty decent place.

This buffet was a big let down. I thought that the reviews sounded nice, so it would be a good dive-y Chinese buffet. I was horribly mistaken. The food was all so bland! It all seemed lukewarm as well. I was thinking that the "hibachi grill" would be a saving grace, but sadly it was not. You cannot control the sauce that is put into it even! The only reason it's not a 1 star is because the staff was pretty good and the place was big, and seemed pretty clean. Not a place I would recommend or return to.

Sushi...a tiny piece of fish on a bed of rice the size of a softball. Mongolian BBQ...everything and I mean everything tastes the same, too salty. Pan Asian fare...tastes kinda like General Tso's 'chicken'. All of it. American fare...dried up, over fried, stale. Soups...been sitting for Lord knows how long, the oily 'skin' on most. Ice cream...little kids licking the scoop then putting it back in the watery container, gross. Service...good. The view....sad, demotivating yet motivating at the same time.

Maybe it's because I went on a Monday night but most of the food was old, dehydrated, or tasted like it was previously frozen. The highlights of this buffet are... the fruits. Even then you really have to pick them carefully. Some pineapples were succulent while others tasted like cardboard. Most of the oranges were bruised. The watermelon was okay. The honeydew, while crispy, was tainted by a covering "old fruit" juice. The hibachi was not horrible and honestly had the freshest ingredients out of the whole buffet. Seasoning was a little too sweet for my taste. The only thing edible at the sushi bar was the california roll. It will take me all night to list the negatives. Basically if you want an Asian-centric AYCE buffet in this price range your best bet is Formosa Seafood Buffet in Castleton. It is definitely worth the drive.

We were on the west side yesterday and decided to stop in for a quick lunch. Well I have to first say, buffets really aren't my favorite. I prefer food made fresh to order. (especially Asian) I always have a 1/2 bite of things, that 'look' good, on my plate and go back if they not only look good but taste good. The positives of this place are: This place is large and has many hot & cold stations for alot of choices. The price is unbelievably low and we had a coupon for $1 off each. I loved the large fruit bar and it was all very fresh. They also had a nice salad bar with not only mixed lettuce but also baby greens. I tried the a crab rangoon, a small vietnamese spring roll, a pork dumpling, and 4 sushi. They were all just OK, except for 1 sushi that nonchalantly ended up in my napkin. All were nothing to write home about. I liked the habachi chicken and my hubster liked many of the sweet chicken entrees. The fried rice was average. -strangely enough, one thing that was really good was a whole ham that was sliced in thick pieces. It was flavorable and tender. I should have tried the teppanyaki because it was made fresh to order, but didn't. The negatives of this place are: All the food was very bland w/no spices or seasonings. The egg drop soup was really bad. There were no offerings of condiments to add your own touch except for soy on the tables. The dip for the eggrolls & dumplings was very poorly made. (also only served the terrible cheap hot mustard that comes in the plastic pkg) Some items that should've been crisp were soggy (typical on a buffet). I wanted to try a little salmon, but they had poured this this thick bright red sweet & sour sauce over it. The napkins were like kleenex and the table was so sticky I had to wash my hands up to my elbows. --well nuff said. Guess bottom line is if you want a really nice plate of fruit and salad, with an average appetizer item, and chicken or ham w/fried rice, this is a good place. Besides, what more could you expect for the $?

Ok, I'll admit it - I love it here. $10/person for a buffet with sushi and hibachi? Um, yes please. No, it's not in the best part of town. No, it's not always the best food. Let's be honest, we go to buffets for quantity not quality. Ok, glad we're on the same page. We have a system each time we visit: one round at the buffet, one trip to the hibachi, and one dessert run. My favorite aspect is the hibachi grill because you can get a fresh meal made to order. Pick your noodle, pick your veg, pick your meat. Instant happy plate! Good deal for the price, but they started posting signs about wasted food policies. Threats of charging for wasted food. Confusing concept for an all-you-can-eat buffet, but I sort of get it. People think that because they can they should. I don't know about you, but I pretty much know what I do and don't like at a buffet. Not an issue.

Lovely sushi bar and Hibachi grill included in price of buffet. Very clean. Some of the hot foods not very hot and some of the cold foods not very cold-- but overall good was well prepared and served. Plenty of choices for those who prefer American food (chicken, potatoes, pizza, etc) -- kid-friendly Mac-n-cheese, chicken nuggets too. Restaurant seems clean and good server hygiene is practiced. Friendly wait staff.

The selection and freshness the of the food is excellent. The dining room is well laid out and spacious. The quality of the food is much better than most Chinese buffets.

Finding Teppanyaki on a Saturday afternoon was like finding an oasis in the middle of the desert. We craved unlimited sushi, and unlimited sushi is what we found--and for a glorious price. Teppanyaki is truly a supreme buffet with everything you could imagine in a Chinese food buffet, plus an all-you-can-eat sushi bar, which is reason enough to go. The lunch buffet was only around $6 and that was just the cherry on top of the food cake. The service staff was all very attentive and filled drinks and gathered plates at a good pace. The restaurant was very clean as well. Besides the fresh sushi bar that is offered every single day with a huge selection of sushi styles, there is a dessert bar with a wide variety of fruit, pastries, cookies, ice cream, and more. The buffet has classics, such as sweet and sour chicken, pepper chicken, crab ragoon, egg rolls, etc. while also throwing in a few interesting buffet dishes into the mix, such as mashed potatoes and gravy, French fries, pizza, steak, space ribs, macaroni and cheese, and others. It was a nice balance, and the restaurant is large, so it's great for large groups of hungry people. If you're in the area and harbor a massive hunger, definitely eat here.

I was introduced to this buffet by a mutual friend fellow yelper. First of all the price is amazing!!! Second of all the food is fantastic!!! I love the fact that they have an okay sushi bar on top of their hibachi grill and then their buffet lines. They have everything from raw oysters, cocktail shrimp, fried catfish, American choices, ice cream and amazing other mini desserts like the strawberry cheesecake cups. The service here is actually fantastic they are wonderful about making sure dirty plates are promptly removed and always keep the drinks filled. I would have to say the only major things that they need assistance with is their bathrooms and caution signs hah. Their bathrooms have been dirty every time if have ever been. Always go to the potty before going to the restaurant. Also, their pop machine is right near the bathroom entrance and there is never a caution wet sign, my little guy busted his bottom there. Just be very cautious around the pop machines. All minor compared to the quality of the food and service!!! This is my go to cheap Chinese Buffett!!!!!!!!

While on lunch on a Monday afternoon we decided to check this place out. First off, the buffet food although there was a wide selection the quality was lacking. I've had better quality Chinese buffet food several other places for quite a bit less money. The only saving grace was their grill. Fresh and tasty.

Teppanyaki is the big "to-do" in the buffet world. They have just about everything under the sun--Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Italian, Mexican, and American. I was very impressed with the place overall. The first thing that you have to remember is that Teppanyaki is a buffet, and because of this, the food is never going to be as fresh as if it was made-to-order. Thus, I am not going to compare it to a typical sit-down restaurant. I love Asian food, and Teppanyaki has multiple varieties of it. I was impressed by the sushi bar, but felt that it lacked diversity. They could afford a few more choices. Other than that, the place really has everything under the sun. I was happy to see that they have plenty of non-fried choices. I found the salmon to be particularly tasty. They also had mounds of fresh fruit, which allowed me to have a tasty, yet healthy dessert. Don't worry, Teppanyaki has plenty of non-healthy choices for both dessert and dinner! The Hibachi grill was fairly impressive as well, with plenty of vegetable and meats from which to choose. This food is made-to-order, and the cook even agreed to make mine without oil. Overall, the Hibachi grill was the best part of this dining experience.

I've been here three times since it has opened. It is by far the best buffet in the area. Very clean place with great service. The food is always fresh and hot (or cold depending on what your getting). Sushi bar and a build your own teppanyaki grill that they cook for you plus serve yourself ice cream. Check it out!

Visited this new location on Sat Nov 12th for lunch. With the coupon it came to about $8 per person and what a meal you got. There is a large number of chioces and styles. They offer a sushi bar, a hybachi grill and choices from seafood, to chinese to pizza to prime rib and so on. Their desert bar is excellent with a great variety and high quality ice cream (non soft serve) that you can pick from. If you don't walk away full and have gotten your monies worth then well...that is on you. This will be a staple for me down the road...

I've noticed that there are A LOT of buffets in Indy. If you want to go to a buffet back at my hometown in Monterey you'd have to drive 45 minutes to San Jose to find one. Here in Indy it seems like there's at least one around the corner. At least it feels that way on the westside. This new chain grill/buffet has set up shop where part of the Best Buy use to be. The inside was really nice and spacious (is that a dance floor in the front or just a HUGE waiting area??). The food area was clean and set up nicely; there's a hibachi grill in the back that wasn't getting much use, sushi bar, there's Chiniese, Thai, Korean and some American food. I thought the fruit was really fresh and there's a good selection of sweets and ice cream.. I've been to two other buffets here in Indy and the food here at the Teppanyaki Grill is a lot better. But it's a buffet and I'm not that into them. Mostly because I feel like I don't eat enough when I feel like I should be eating at least 5 plates. Our meal came out to $23.74. My fiance definitely got his money's worth.. I think he ate like 4 plates with mounds of food... I'm so jealous of his metabolism! :(

I was enjoy buffet from Seattle to New York. I have to say this is one of top buffet in this county. Except New York have some of Chinese buffet can beat him down(with Peking Roast Duck), of course them not this lovely price. (Cost about 16 + $ tips for 2 adult and 2 kids(4 and 2) in Saturday lunch) The food is prefect, waiters are nice, quite, clear and big space environment. This is my usually list, all of my favorite: 1st dish. Roast beef and lamb with some green beans. 2nd dish. Sushi bar and cold dish like hot mini octopus and shell (sea foods..... Ya....) 3rd dish. Hot mini lobster and some toast Chinese bread. 4th dish. vegetable and fruits, kids will enjoy ice cream. If them keep fruits (melon)more fresh(that my wife's complain), I will give five stars. Thanks these new Chinese immigration bring the buffet to this town, make it more diversity. My wife like to give little bit high tips to hard working waiters. * Easy find coupon on local ad. * Lunch is great price

Don't know what all the fuss is about, or how this place is getting 4 stars at the time of this review, Yes, the square footage is huge, but that doesn't mean there are more options than any typical Asian buffet. Cheap because there is no crab, no prime rib (on a Friday night), only about 5 different types of sushi that ALL tasted the same, and the hibachi grill is LAME!!!! Even the sliced oranges tasted bland! Just down the street from Golden Corral. Twins, really. Go someplace else!

This is a great buffet! It's clean, the service is very good, and the food is hot. There's a great variety of Asian and American foods. With an all-you-can-eat sushi station and a delicious hibachi grill too, you definitely get a big bang for your buck and have a tasty time doing so!

Had a recent visit to the new place by my work for lunch with my wife. Got there and paid and got a receipt showing 15.20 which was correct. Food was decent. Got home that night and ran to the ATM to get some money and did not have enough in my account to withdrawl. Went home and checked my online banking and found a 75.20 charge in addition to the 15.20 as pending. I went back the next day(Thursday) as they both showed pending still and the manager was nowhere to be found. The lady up front at the register laughed when I told her and started trying to chat me up about what I did for a living. She finally told me to come back on Saturday if there was still a problem. On Saturday, they were still both showing as pending for some reason and I went back in and the manager told me the bank made a mistake. I disagreed stating the bank would not randomly charge 75.20 to their restaurant and was more likely a mistake on their part of mis-entering the total. I told him if it was a mistake and my card was credited back then I should have been informed and shown that my card was credited back so I would know there was a hold on it for that amount and it was a significant amount. He said it could be possible that they pushed the wrong amount but unlikely and that he had to make a call. He called someone and was on the phone for over 40 minutes before telling me that my account really wasn't missing the 75.20. I told him that it definately was and possibly was just a hold that would be back in my account after a few days since a mistake was made but still was a huge inconvenience that I should have been made aware of. He agreed that it was a possible hold and I could call to have it immediately removed. I asked him to do it since it was his store's error and I had already spent an hour there waiting on him to figure it out. He said he needed to make another phone call to try to get the hold taken off and after 20 minutes I finally took my account statement and receipt and told him I would be back if the charges did go through. No apology for what happened and did not care at all that the mistake had wiped out the money in my checking account until I got paid 2 days later. Nor for the hour+ of my life that was wasted for him scrambling to find and excuse for what happened. Just recommend if you pay with a debit/credit card you check and make sure something similar does not happen to you. The hold was finally lifted on Tuesday.
