The year was 1996 (give or take - play along). My dad, being the funny fella that he is - and tightass, challenged my dear friend, Ronda B, and I to a taco eating contest. Might I add that at the time we felt like high rollers/lucky gals: "Oh gee, Dad! All the tacos we want!?!" Back in the day these puppies were sold by the box for near pennies. I honestly can't remember, but I'd like to think Ronda won the contest because in the middle of the night she was scammering out of bed and spewing Taco Bell down the hall of our house. Taco Bell: 1. Ronda B: 0. Moral of the story: Taco Bell is cheap and plenty good to be eaten in a competitive manner. Sometimes while rolling my Civic through the drive through, I like to fool myself into thinking I'm eating healthy when I order to beef fresco tacos and pintos n' cheese. Oh, look at you Brittany - eating the healthiest fast food on the menu! Something I've been chewing on: whole wheat taco shows. Something to consider TB...I can't decide if I'm serious or not on this one.

Service is incredibly slow. The people are rude. And on top if it all, they ran out of hot sauce. I will never come here again

I have used this location for a while now and it has improved quite a bit since I first went. I have fast and friendly service every time I visit. I never have a problem with the quality of the food.

this particular taco bell location is a bit on the slow side from time to time and I go here often. staff can vary between being rude to each other but nice to the customers or just being standoffish to everyone in general. staff seems very mixed between hating each other and being slow or working for a living and trying to serve. They're not that great at keeping the ice in the soda fountain stocked or keeping it wiped down, sauce and sporks are always out. drive through is always packed at 11pm to 12am. this location is always out of the physical big boxes too, especially during contests like their last two Playstation 4 contests, i rarely get one. not bad if you're low on cash, stoned/drunk, and hungry at 2am.

I have no idea how this is even really considered food because it's not. But if you're in a pinch and you don't have any money and you don't really care about what you're putting in your body then go ahead and go here

Who doesn't love a good Taco Bell? In the grand scheme of Taco Bells, this ranks high among them. It seems like it is very new. It looks like a more high tech Taco Bell, if you can even imagine what that looks like. This restaurant is very clean and pleasant to be in. Every time I have been inside, I have been greeted quickly without standing around waiting for someone to take my order. They make your food fast. They make your food well. I have been 100% satisfied each time I have been here and I don't think that will change any time soon. If you're in the Keystone Broad Ripple area, shoot over to this Taco Bell for some south of the border fast-food.

Man, I love me some T. Bell. But this location is just awful. It is hugely disappointing, especially when you are having pregnancy cravings. The last FOUR times we have gotten food here, our order has been wrong! And of course, we don't notice until we get home and sit down to eat. My husband and I have been taking turns returning to Taco Bell to request the items that were left out of our order. The only redeeming quality about this location is that SOME of their employees are friendly. There are other employees that don't even give their customers the satisfaction of communicating with them. I went inside once to request a new taco, and the boy who helped me never even spoke to me. He did get me a new taco though. The most disappointing aspect of this restaurant is that any item you order will be mostly tortilla, almost no filling. I ordered the Ghost Pepper Griller, which looked amazing on the menu. While eating it, I couldn't find any meat, and the filling was comprised of mostly tortilla strips/chips and cheese sauce. It was super depressing. I'll probably be back, because I love Taco Bell and I have no other choice. But I really wish they would step up their game. :(

What is up with Taco Bell lately? I sat in drive thru here for 22 minutes. Now, unfortunately "they" have the car coral lanes, so I couldn't bail out. I was trapped, like a popcorn kernel between your teeth, you know what I mean. I caught a little nap, read a few chapters of a novel, played some solitaire, I think I was even laughing like Chevy Chase driving around Big Ben in European Vacation. I just couldn't go anywhere and that's a scary feeling. so, anyway, I finally get my food, get home, open up my rappers, I asked for no sour cream and it even says "no sour cream" on the receipt, guess what, there was sour cream on them. geeeeeesh. that's all I got to say about that. oh, yeah, the window cashier would be better fit for a Starbucks, she was so amped up and smiling, I told her I waited OVER 20 minutes in this drive thru, she said I know, sorry and have a nice evening :D

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
