Stout House Menu

This is a serious townie bar. Locals only on a Wednesday night. Every seat at the bar taken and no one at the tables. One bartender, no waitresses. They do have a pretty good selection of craft beer, but bottles only - nothing on tap. Prices range from $3 to $5. Reviews say the pizza is amazing so I'll have to try it next time I'm here. Had the guacamole (daily special) and it was decent.

I like this place. It's a plain oil' neighborhood bar, not particularly fancy but not a dive bar, either. I've been twice recently, both times the place wasn't busy at all and the clientele seemed to be regulars. Very friendly & chatty regulars. The bartenders have also been extremely nice which I really dig about a bar. This place has a really good craft beer list and the prices are incredibly reasonable. They also make a terrific pizza. Like, a really kick-ass pizza. I heard a lot of good things about the other items on the menu, too. Again, I really like this place and if I lived on the northside I could definitely see myself visiting this place quite often. I'll be returning. Hopefully soon.

Stout House's pizza is great. Their burgers are pretty good. They have a good selection of bottled beer (no drafts) for solid prices. I feel awkward going there though because it's almost always empty. It's strange to be the only customer in a restaurant. The only time Stout House gets a crowd is when 4 or 5 industry people will stop in when their restaurant closes. Plus, the service is hit or miss depending on who is working....new customers don't always feel welcome there. If you sit at the bar, Stout House isn't a good place to watch a game. There is a big screen TV off to the side, but the TV's aren't positioned well with the way that the bar is constructed.

Very few changes from buckets aside from darker lighting. Bartenders are not great, friendly enough but lack personality and struggled to make the one drink he was asked. It's usually empty. Cannot see how these place stays open unless owner has deep pockets and is looking for a tax break. Was mostly happy with buckets and was hoping stout house would be better. good pizza.

I am a pizza fiend, and this place blew my socks off. This place may seem like its closed from the outside, but service is great, pool is free and the deep dish with sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms will be my new base of judgment for pizza from here on out.

Food took an hour plus to arrive. They were semi-apologetic. No beer on tap which isn't a big deal. Just a new place with not much to look at. Food was pretty good when I finally got it. Not going to go back here

Great pizza - service was pretty slow but nice people and overall a good place to eat and watch a game if you don't want to be elbow to elbow.

FINALLY!!! A wonderful pizza place to help represent the area. We've tried every possible pizza place within a 10 mile radius and this is at the top of the charts. If you're a fan of pizza with truly fresh and home made ingredients then check this place out. I put it up there with Pizzology. Looking forward to trying all the different variations. Also, the owners are extremely friendly and have no problem sparking up a conversation. Get to know them and help spread the word!

Food was amazingly good. Don't let the outside strip mall appearance fool you. 8 dollar sandwich tenderloin was huge and hand cut fries were delicious.

Located in a slightly out of the way strip mall, this local bar serves the most amazing pizza I have ever eaten! I had a custom pizza with goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes, garlic and some really good garlicky sausage. My buddy had the cheese pizza which was equally good. The salad we ordered was crisp and fresh and not iceberg, served in a huge bowl with homemade ranch dressing that was delish. Another standout at our table were the corn fritters--brought steaming hot, sprinkled with powdered sugar and amazingly addictive. What an appetizer! The service was great and food came out fast considering how busy it was the night we were there. The beer was really cold, which made me happy! There were a bunch of large screen TVs which made watching the Colts game easy from any angle. Worth looking for!

Great pizza and wings! And a large beer selection. A good bar with quality food, glad I stopped in! Nice find

Terrible! It was at LEAST 90 degrees in the restaurant and the pizza was mediocre at best. I cannot understand the good reviews. The waitress was good but if they don't fix the air conditioner I do not see how they will servive the summer. Still have a $10.00 Groupon but will not return to use it.

I'm not writing this from the floor of my bathroom, so there's that. I admire their desire to be a "gastropub" in a city that has some amazing culinary & cocktail talent. They should be honest and own what they are: a bar with a pretty ordinary-looking menu. A dozen of us came in for a friend's birthday dinner. Besides 2 guys bellied up to the bar, we were the only ones in the place on a Saturday night. We were told we couldn't move tables (in case it got busy?) so we all squeezed around one. We were given 3 menus (including the out-of-date beer list)... that was all the copies they had, so we made do. "Fresh, homemade tortilla chips" used in the chips & queso and the nachos were straight from a bag. Nothing wrong with that - at least they weren't stale - but wish the writers of the menu weren't into fiction. The birthday girl ordered a deep dish pizza. I ordered a burger. Others got the buffalo chicken sandwich, the 100-year-old-recipe empanada and calzone. The calzone was good. The empanadas would probably embarrass great-grandma. The chicken left our friend in tears (but we can chalk that up to his level of manliness). The nacho appetizer, I should mention, was the last thing to arrive at the table - after all of the meals were served. "I wasn't sure if you wanted them early, so I left them in the kitchen until your dinners were ready", the waitress said. Yeah, I'm pretty sure we couldn't have answered that question for her. My burger looked great - crisp lettuce and a fresh tomato slice on top of a .... raw burger. It had spent some time near the grill. It might have even touched the grill and declared 'I'll have none of that!' I just wish my eyes had realized before my mouth. A slice of deep dish came my way so I wouldn't gnaw on the arm of a fellow celebrant. I was warned that it was a little cold. I took that to mean that it had been sitting in the kitchen for a bit while the cook tried to talk my burger into going near the grill. Nope. It was cold cold in the middle. I can only wonder if the dough had come straight from the freezer, had some toppings added and made a pass through the oven. Apparently the food here has an unnatural fear of anything hot in the kitchen.

Came here with 3 friends on a Thursday night. People were at the bar but the rest of the place was empty. A super friendly waitress patiently waited while we chose from the long long menu of beers they had available. We ended up ordering one of their deep dish pizzas, that was really decent. My friend ordered a calzone that looked delicious! All in all I loved the laid back feel and enjoyed watching the Pacers game (they have a lot of TVs, great music too).

It was just really average. It's a bar, not a gastro pub. The pizza was good, not great but good. I have no problem with this place as a bar, just don't go expecting much atmosphere snd I wouldn't recommend it for dinner.
