Beer is unique and delicious. Food is cooked perfectly to order, and everything on the short menu is reliably delicious. The waiter was fantastic. When I asked for a sample he brought out multiple samples to make recommendations based on my tastes. He was very kind and cared about my selection. Great overall experience.

I work with a pretty great group of people, and we sometimes want to grab a drink after work. Being so close to Rock Bottom, it's a no brainer for us on where we go. With awesome happy hour prices on appetizers and a pretty substantial selection of beer, wine and mixed drinks, everyone can find something here. I also highly suggest joining their frequent diner club. It doesn't take long to start acquiring points that can be redeemed for pint glasses, free food, and invitations to special events. A few beers, some pretzel appetizers and you're well on your way to earning points. The place fills up around 5.. especially on Friday evenings, so I usually try and get there a few minutes before 5 to grab a spot in the bar area (which is open seating).

My friend and I just had drinks at the bar, but I'd go back here for sure. The bartender was friendly, and upon hearing me remark upon the fruity drink my friend ordered - he served me up the leftovers from the shaker in a small glass. I thought that was a nice touch. Good bar atmosphere, this would be a nice neighborhood hangout.

My family and I decided to come here because we didn't feel like traveling too far from the house. When we entered the restaurant, the hostess displayed a bubbly personality, welcomed us, and quickly showed us to our seats. The server, I believe his name was Terry, arrived shortly thereafter. Our server took the drink orders and made sure to brew me a fresh pot of coffee, which I appreciated since I often end up getting old coffee in other restaurants. I ordered the Asiago Artichoke and Crab Dip, which was served with Crostini. It was good, however, it is nothing that I would make a special trip to get again. My order, as well as my husband's fish and chips came out in a timely fashion, however my children's orders came out approximately 15 minutes later. Therefore, my husband and I were almost done eating by the time their food arrived. The server apologized and explained that our orders were sitting in the window so he did not want them to get cold while waiting on the other orders. When the other orders did arrive everyone seemed to be happy with the food, but not particularly blown away. Rock Bottom Brewery is not necessarily spectacular, however, it is also not a restaurant that I would avoid; as I am sure I will visit again at some point. After all, our server was spectacular ( he could not help that the chefs left a large lag time between our meals). Also, I did not have any of their beer, but they have won awards for it so beer drinkers may find it worth their while to come check it out. I gave three stars because the food is not terrible, nor mind blowing, but it is okay. Additionally, the large amount of time that passed between our orders arriving to the table was unacceptable.

$50 in gift cards to burn suggested that a phat lunch at Rockbottom was in order. Why not splurge when not footing the bill, right? Wrong. Read on. We are the odd birds that opted for a late lunch at about 2:30 on a Saturday and chose to sit in the bar where we could see in to the cool brewing area. We were two of about 8 patrons total in the restaurant, so we should have had stellar service, right? Wrong. Read on. We started with a beer flight -- good pours and a good price point at $6 for 6 samples which are pre-set for you. I liked the specialty dark best (of course) and then the New Years ale (brewmasters choice of the day). The Kolsch, White ale, and red ales were pretty good as well. Wasn't a fan of the IPA, nor was my usual IPA fanboy hubs. For an app we chose the Ball Park Pretzels -- the 2 pretzels were freakishly huge and came with an $8.25 price tag. Not a bad gig if you are looking for a filling snack to split with a friend over some beers. However, the spinach/cheese/something-or-rather dip was served at a barely lukewarm temp. A thick film had even formed over the top. Yuck. Would have sent it back for a warm-up, but our server was nowhere to be found. We ordered lunch -- the Cold smoked sockeye salmon with roasted habanero tomato salsa, white cheddar mashed potatoes, and vegetables for me and the Baja chicken sandwich with onion rings for the hubs. Soooo the food comes out and the only thing I could say was, "THIS is my $20 salmon meal?" The salmon was rock hard, dry, tiny, and an odd color. My potatoes had the "been under the lamp too long" hard shell on the outside. Hub's meal came out wrong and had to be sent back due to his specific allergy. Not a good sign. Hubs went to get a manager (we hardly ever do this) and I could hear her saying "I know what this is about" as she walked up to our table. Close on her heels was the head chef whom the manager quickly defaulted to and disappeared. We explained that the salmon was not flaking AT ALL, was hard, and basically inedible. Initially the chef attempted to explain that the cold smoking process makes the fish this way. Ummmm, no. He took it away and offered to make me something else, so I opted for the Bourbon Salmon instead. Well, the pictures say it better than I can. Attempt 2 at lunch was much much better...and accompanied by 2 pints of beer compliments of a (now) very apologetic head chef. However, I feel that we were past the point of a big star redemption as our experience was just barely at the "Meh. I've had better." rating. Don't get me wrong -- I totally appreciate the chef's attempts to "make it right" by bringing me a new lunch and comping a few pints of their brew. However, when the bill came, I was still charged for my $20 inedible first lunch which just struck me as funny at this point. Add the fact that we didn't even have silverware until after our meals arrived and other random oversights and I feel that 2 stars may actually be generous. There are too many GOOD breweries in Indy to suffer through this place again. Sorry, Rockbottom.

Don't do it! Now I remember why I haven't been in so long! Went for a birthday party/dinner and wanted to try something out of the "norm." My party & i were highly disappointed. I ordered the steak & cajun shrimp and for the price i was not happy with the food portions. I had a 5oz steak...a 5oz steak! My plate looked like a kids meal that was $20! The food was bland & then i took a look around at the crowd...and realized i was at a MCL! The sign tells you exactly what your gonna get ROCK BOTTOM...i just didn't learn but i know now!

This was a fun get together with my brother as we hadn't had a chance to catch up. We opted for Rock Bottom as we had a diverse crowd and needed to cover special dietary needs including vegetarian and complete vegan. Rock Bottom provided that experience. The only sad part was that our Vegan could not have the beer, as the filtration material involves non vegan material. That was ok, we were able to go with a light wine. The food was delicious, generous portions, service was great and our server took the time to offer to double check a few things just to be double sure no food specifications were compromised. You do not find that in many places! We will definitely be returning to this location.

Had $50 in gift certificates from Rock Bottom due to a prior lack luster experience at the same Rock Bottom a year prior, thought maybe something had changed. Boy was I wrong! Sat at the bar and decided to have dinner since I had these gift certificates to use. Mind you, it is 8:00 pm on a Friday night after the normal dinner rush and before the HS football game from across the street let out. The bartender at first was attentive and was very helpful at helping me choose a beer that I would like, since what I normally drink, browns and stouts, aren't in season. Ordered the Baja chicken sandwich for dinner and the wait begins. After waiting for a half hour, the food finally came. Said something to the bartender about it, his response was ummmm.... and walked away never to return. After having such a poor experience a year ago, his reaction just put further bad taste in my mouth about this restaurant. The sandwich too was just Meh.. After getting another bartenders attention, I paid cash for the "entire" bill since my bill wasn't over $25 to use a gift certificate and they won't give you change back on it. Before walking out the door, I graciously asked one of the hostesses of I could talk to one of the managers. The manager promptly came and asked how they could help me. Told her what went on at the bar with my service and food. Her response was that there was nothing she could do since this issue wasn't brought to her attention when it happened. I told her I promptly asked the bartender this question and his reaction. She said which bartender it was, I told her and she promptly escorted out the door and said thank you for coming. What restaurant treats their customers that way?????? Will never return to this restaurant again. May even think of boycotting the location Downtown too.

We were in Indy for a baseball tournament so we went eat, there was probably a table of 18 of us. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! The server was giving us our check BEFORE we even got our food. He said that it would "help get us out of there quicker" haha... 1 hour later we got our food, still no check. We all finished eating.. still no checks. We were wandering around looking for our checks then looking for a manager. Long story short ... we found a manager and expressed our frustration. She did apologize and was kind enough to comp all our bills. Ugh... thank god for that!

Rock Bottom is a great place for a happy hour, which is exactly why we went there. There are some great specials on beer and most of my friends were able to get out for under $10. I noticed lots of banners from their prize-winning beer hanging in the bar area. The menu was enticing and definitely made me want to come back for food. I don't like beer so I ended up having their mini brownie sundae instead. Yum! It was the perfect size and the perfect amount of sweetness. I used my spoon to scrape my plate clean of caramel and chocolate sauce. There were two cons, one of which isn't their fault. Since I don't like beer, I look to other drinks to get my buzz on. The prices compared to the $3.25 beer were higher than I would like to pay, ranging from $6-$9. Not a bad price in general, I just didn't want to spend that much for one drink. The other was having slow service on my brownie. I honestly thought the waitress forgot to enter it in. She didn't and it was delicious!

We got together with family for lunch. Our server was wonderful, very educated on the options he described and was great at making suggestions. I went for the comfort food- the mac and cheese with chicken. This dish was fabulous, although it was also huge so beware if you have this for lunch you won't be wanting dinner. I did have a mixed drink and for a brewery, their bartender did fabulous, there was no skimping on the liquor, and the flavor was fantastic. The location is the only drawback to this place. It's right off one of the busiest areas of 86th street so you need to pick the time of your visit carefully.

From my first visit to the original Rock Bottom Brewery in Denver to this visit 20 plus years later, I have always found their beer to be interesting and often above average. The beer was above average with this visit too. But the physical space at this particular Rock Bottom in North Indy is looking worn and run down. In particular the mens bathroom was a smelly, scummy disaster. Take some of your profits and redo this mess of a bathroom. Not only is it out of date, but it smells, the floors were sticky and slimy, it has crud everywhere in the corners on the floors at the walls. It is a visual and olfactory insult to your great beer and good food. Though it has been awhile since I have eaten at a Rock Bottom, I used to be rather a regular at the Chicago location and often visited the Denver locations, on this visit I found the menu items a bit overpriced from what I remember, and the quality, though good enough, wasn't anything special. This doesn't mean it was bad, it wasn't bad, it was good. But it was nothing special. And what was even more of a chuckle for me was the "Burger Specials," which were nothing particularly special or appealing. Guess when you are able to eat at Kuma's Corner in Chicago, you expect a special burger to actually BE something special, novel, new, interesting or unique. Not just a burger you can find on dozens of different bar menus all around town. Our wait person, Cassandra, was wonderful, if a bit over worked, or possibly new. But she was a charm to have waiting on us. Would I eat here again? Maybe. This location was a bit of an overall let down as compared to the 6 or 7 other Rock Bottom locations I have been to in my years since I met Harry Carry and Steve Stone at the original Denver location all those years ago for my first visit. This place, for me, is clearly the least of this chain's locations visited. I AM glad the beer here was as good as I remembered it everywhere else, as that was a pleasure to enjoy.

I used to frequent Rock Bottom before I started Yelping, and still make it back occasionally as a good place to go get some beers and some consistently good America pub style food so I am due for a review here. The area of town where this is located can be a giant pain in the ass to drive through if you are coming through here around 5:30 or 6. They do have their own large parking lot that is easy to find spots in once you make it here. There is a hostess up front who can seat you in the large quieter restaurant side of the business, or you can venture into the separate bar area and try to find seating around their horseshoe shaped bar or at a number of tables or booths in that same section. There are some views of the brewery space from the bar, but it's all through windows and getting to see anything very neat is unlikely. It is common to find the bar area completely full on their busier nights or around the 6 o'clock hour when people go after work. I used to sit at the bar a lot, and always had great service. There was an older bartender there most nights who was one of the more attentive and nice bartenders I have had. Service at tables is always good, and I think that they do a good job of keeping their wait staff sufficiently trained about their beer selection for them to offer suggestions and descriptions of beers. They even provide samples for you to try before you commit to a pint. The do brew their own beer here, but I always find that everything they have is on the safe side of things. It seems like each style is always executed well so you likely aren't going to get anything bad, but it's never anything that is outside of just average. I would think a place with its own brewer and setup would get a little more creative and put something out that didn't taste like it came from a run of the mill 6-pack. Maybe I am just ordering the wrong beers here. The food is mostly American style pub food, with a lot of appetizers, big salads, sandwiches, and burgers as offerings. I know that their burgers are good and that the serving sizes are very large. They also have some more interesting choices in which they put some twists on the usual favorites that make them better and more flavorful (and usually more unhealthy) than what you might find on a more generic bar menu. The nachos that they have are good and will easily satisfy a table of 3-4 people. I have ordered their mac and cheese and their fish tacos before, and both of them were delicious. I recall them having special happy hour pricing for certain things on their food menu, but I don't recall what those were. The wait staff/bartenders and the fact that their menu branches out from just the standard pub foods bumps this place up to an above average American style bar/restaurant. The beer probably would never draw me here unless it was to take advantage of a growler fill special. Overall, a safe bet to bring a group to enjoy some food and beers.

Great menu. Pretty good beer for a corporate brewpub. Try the 2AM Burger. It's a half pound patty with bacon, hash browns, and an egg. Add Texas fire spice for an extra luck.

I'm a huge fan of Rockbottom - it has everything I want in a pub-style restaurant. GREAT beer, good food, and consistent service. This location has impressed me many times for both lunch and supper. Let's begin: The Beer: It helps that you have the best brewer in Indy, if not Indiana. This lady has some made skills when it comes to water, hops, malt, and yeast. Since I've sampled all the standard offerings from the RB list, I always go with the season specialties. Cask if they have it. I've been really impressed with quality beer that is served, I take a growler to go! This past autumn, the Rocktoberfest rocked my socks off... Also be sure to check out the Mug Club. The Food: This is one of the best American pub menus I've seen around. It has a great variety of appitizers, salads, entrees, and odds'n'ends. One of my favorite things to get here is the pretzels with jalapeno sauce and the Laredo burger, medium. Guacamole on a burger never tasted so good. The Service: Although at times it has been slow when it's busy, the service has always been very good and friendly. Thank-you. You make the dining experience that much better. When in doubt, RB is a solid choice and has something for everyone, especially for you beer enthusiasts out there. I'll continue to raise a glass to RB, cheers.

This place is very under average food and service. My burger was covered with burnt char bits from the grill and was over cooked. My daughter's steak was also burnt charred but was under cooked. The rest of the food was fine as in average frozen fair , empty drinks waited to be refilled and I left feeling a bit ill from the experience. I'll not return.

I got the street tacos, 2 steak and 2 fish. The steaks were good but I couldn't taste the fish in the fish tacos. I also ordered the carrot cake. That was amazing. The service and food was good. The only bad part was the bathroom. It looked like they toilets haven't been cleaned in weeks to months. That was super disappointing to see after experiencing the food and service. For that, I am giving it 3 stars.

My family and I (6 people) went to Rock Bottom off 86th St to have lunch and celebrate my daughter's birthday. We had beers, appetizers and lunch. While our food was good our service was unacceptable. Long delays even though they were not busy. Server didn't check on us or attend to us. We had to go find him. We talked to the manager and all she said was she'd address it with him. She didn't offer anything to make it right. Nothing. We will never dine there again or recommend it to anyone.

After coming to this Rock Bottom for several years, they have finally managed to get rid of both of their best bartenders, Don and Tom. Those guys were the real reason many of their customers kept coming back. Tonight, we found out they had let Don go. Our food was warm and the bartender had the personality of a stump. Very disappointed that we now have to find a new place.

This restaurant has some amazing craft beers and a great menu. It is a perfect place for groups as there is a lot of variety that can be shared and different beers to try. Food is good but do not expect anything out of the ordinary. Typical dips, salads, sandwiches, steaks, chicken, pizza etcetera You can buy a 15 Gallon beer at this place Try the popular Beer Flight sampler and then choose a pint of your favourite I had the Cobb Salad which had some overcooked bacon strips and 2 small avocado slivers so do not expect a foodie experience that us Yelpers look forward too bring the gang, have fun, have a drink and laugh and enjoy spirited conversation staff is great and energetic!

Wait staff is always good. Food is good lacks presentation However the fact that when you check in and told 2pm minute wait while there are multiple tables empty is a problem. Also, hostess seems like she thinks she is better tan her patrons. Soooo affected.

My wife and I stopped by this evening. Really good food. The beer was pretty good, too, but nothing stupendous. I got the beer sampler. 6 different pours and they all tasted somewhat similar. Very malty. They had different undertones, but nothing special. The food on the other hand was delicious. I had the Cajun fish tacos. Not what I expected. 4 small tacos stacked up with fish, avocado and other stuff. Very good. Not a huge amount on the plate so don't get it if you are a big eater. My wife had the bacon macaroni and cheese. Big pieces of bacon and chicken in this dish. It was a stick to your ribs meal. Good stuff.

We've been to Rockbottom a number of times, and it never fails to please us. I'm not a beer drinker, but it appears they have a very nice selection of local, regional, and national brews, rotate on a regular basis. You'll certainly find something to please your palate when you're there! I must admit I've never had ANYTHING but their pizza when I've been there. To me, there pizza is just that good. Right up on par with Bazbeaux and Jockamo's, my two favorites in town. Service has always been prompt and friendly, and we keep returning.

Now that this place is under new management everything is better, except maybe the beer. My go to items are the nachos and chicken fried chicken. The nachos are huge and ten times better than they were earlier this year. The monthly specials are always spot on. Around the same time they got a new general manager and culinary manager the brewer moved on to bigger and better things so they had to replace her. The new brewer is very new and all of his brews are very conservative and by the recipe. Hopefully he will be a bit more daring and make something noteworthy.

It is overall not a bad place. I had the jalapeño steak with a garden salad. The steak was well done and they cooked it to perfection. It was still flavorful, juicy, and tender. They had great customer service. Our server was great and very accomodating. It was my first visit but I will return.

Upon entering Rock Bottom I was impressed by both the atmosphere and the bounty of banners awarded for beer craftsmanship. My server, Myles, actually seemed interested in my experience at Rock Bottom rather than buttering me up for a better tip. He went on to give me detailed descriptions of each craft tap selection, which guided me to the saison (which summed up to a surprising 7%, despite the light delicious flavor). I will definitely recommend both restaurant and barkeep to friends and family.

Rock Bottom indeed. The boss took us for lunch, service was average. Food was below average. I had the Avocado Chicken sandwich, which came with fries. The fries were over-salted, and the sandwich was terrible. It had a chicken breast, which didn't fill up the bun, two tomato slices, mayo, and 3 small avocado slices with cheese and lettuce. I truly believe Wendy's sandwiches are better. You could taste that the avocado was going bad, the tomato was flavorless(to be fair, they're out of season) and the lettuce was negligible. The chicken itself was overcooked and rubbery. The mayo and stale avocado were all I tasted, really. I had not eaten at a Rock Bottom in years, and this experience certainly didn't beg me to come back anytime soon.

The nachos are MUCH BETTER now. We will be back again. Thanks for fixing the recipe. One more thing, I would like it if you went back to tilapia in the fish tacos.

2 years ago, I would have given this place 5 stars, not the case anymore. I came in around 2pm for a late lunch. The bartender seemed bored, with me, her job, everything. I ordered the club sandwich and fries. The fries were cold, the sandwich was fine. Plenty of meat, warm. The bartender never asked how my food was or I would have asked for fresh fries. She sat on her phone most of the time. I don't need you to talk to me about a lot, but please ask how my meal is. She didn't even give me silverware, It was 5 seats down and I grabbed it. I will always come back for the beer. They have some of the best around. Liz makes a mean IPA. All around, it wasn't a great experience.

Good Octoberfest beer, terrible bartender. Over priced, terribly staffed. I waited 10 minutes 10 minutes to get a beer, with a bar not that busy. Staff seemed more interested in themselves and each other than customers. This place is getting worse as time goes on.

The food is consistently good here. They have some great breadsticks and their salads are huge and delicious. They have a nice beer menu. Service is just OK, but they have a darling hostess (Katie) who always makes us feel welcome.

Our waitress was excellent--attentive and honest. However, we were initially put off by the fact that there was a 20-30 minute wait when we saw at least 8 tables that were unoccupied. This was the second time in a row we experienced a wait, on a Saturday night, when tables were available. The food was okay, except that my husband's entree, which was recommended, looked nothing like the picture and mine arrived cold. Even the waitress admitted this was so. We were not charged for my entree, which was acceptable to us. Having been long time patrons of Rockbottom, we are not likely to return.

I have had some lunches here and enjoyed it enough to recommend to friends. I am pretty careful about recommendations, they can come back on you. But the feedback here was positive from friends who went. So that's my double whammy. I liked it and so did my friends with different tastes. Winner. Now I have to find a job which will allow me to have a beer with lunch on a work day!

Came here for dinner on a Saturday at 6pm. I had a veggie burger with fries. The burger was very tasty as was the bun. The fries were also very good. One of the best veggie burgers I've had. My wife had the fish and chips which she enjoyed. It was a good size serving of fish that was cooked perfectly. My wife's parents had burgers and salads which they liked. There were a lot of unique menu items that I will have to come back and try such as the BBQ shrimp mac and cheese. Overall, I was very impressed I had two glasses of the Rock Bottom IPA which was delicious. Brewing your own delicious beers really sets this place apart from other similar restaurants. The service was also efficient and friendly. Another plus is that the dining area is very spacious with big comfortable tables. The atmosphere is pleasant. We'll be back for sure.

I am not sure of where to start, but let's say I have rarely wanted to walk out of a restaurant, but I did here.... 1. I ordered their signature salad, only to learn they were out of some of the ingredients...on a Sunday afternoon, you're out of avocados and ??? 2. The waiter could not recall what we each ordered? NO, we were mixed in gender and age!? 3. The second salad I ordered was not available. 4. The Caesar Salda, was supposedly available, but took forever to come out. 5. When the aforementioned salad finally arrived, it was drenched in dressing, with incredibly stale croutons 6. The waiter confused my dining companions' orders...A club does not look like a Rueben...really 7. Overall, just mediocre food and lackluster service

My husband and I had lunch at the Rock Bottom today. Overall it was okay. We split a burger and it had a very good flavor. My husband and i have both had lap band surgery so, I liked that they actually brought us the burger already cut in half and on 2 plates with fries. However, the burger was ordered without tomato and when it arrived I had to pick the tomato off along with the lettuce and pickle. The waiter eventually came by to check on us and when I told him the burger was supposed to be without tomato he said "Oh, well besides that is everything okay?" Really? My husband had a Krolsch beer which he enjoyed. I had an amaretto sour, it tasted like amaretto and water. Not much sour mix or amaretto. Doubt we will return to this establishment, we are in town for an annual marching band competition. Will give something else a try next time.

Today I went to the Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery for lunch. We had been there for dinner about a week ago, but, because it was late and we had a issues with our food, I didn't want to form an opinion until we had the opportunity to eat there again. Last week we had the mac n' cheese with chicken, a kid's make it yourself pizza and a classic burger w/fries. Service was slow considering the restaurant had just a handful of customers. The mac n' cheese w/chicken was good. Not really "saucy", more like the old fashioned kind where shredded cheese is added and then baked. The "make it yourself" kids pizza was fun for my daughter but it was served nearly stone cold and the dough wasn't baked all the way through. They made another one for my daughter and the bottom was really burnt but not like it was overcooked as much as it appeared to me that it was taken out of the oven, cut and then re-baked. So, the cheese melted and burned on the edges/underside of the pizza. My daughter wouldn't eat this second pizza. My classic burger with the addition of swiss and sauteed mushrooms was very good. Overall, we liked the food but getting the food took forever. Fast forward to lunch today, we had the fish n' chips. the baked mac n' cheese without the chicken, side salad and Bourbonzola Burger. My husband really enjoyed his fish n' chips. The dish was well prepared and plentiful. I had the Bourbonzola Burger. While I love burgers, almost always I am disappointed that there is too much going on with the burger and that the bun always ends up a wet, falling apart mess. I really enjoyed THIS burger. Gorgonzola cheese, onion straws and a bourbon meets teriyaki type glaze. Not too sloppy, not too messy and tasted great. A hardy burger that will fill you up. Our daughter had a side salad which was plentiful, crispy and filled with good things like chopped cucumber, boiled eggs, raisins, sunflower seeds, etc. The side of baked mac n' cheese was delicious. She inhaled it! Service was very slow again today. There were only 4 tables occupied when we arrived so we don't understand why it takes so long to received your food after ordering but, if you are in good company, the time will fly quickly. Overall, we were pleased with our food and there should be something for everyone on the menu so we will be back.

The overall experience is....pleasant, but not memorable. I was here tonight with a couple people I work with since it's right down the road. Its a "go-to" when we have out of town visitors as a place where they will feel comfortable and find something they're comfortable eating. I have tried a few different meals here and nothing has blown me away. One of my co-workers swears by the "2am burger" but thats not really up my alley. Tonight, I had the Seafood Chef Salad. I have had their Citrus Seafood appetizer before and remember liking it so I thought why not?! I ordered it with "tangy vinaigrette" on the side. While all of the ingredients were fresh, and most importantly, ice cold, the crab kind of grossed me out. It was a bit...mushy. Other than that the actual salad was good. I would probably pass on the vinaigrette as it was not really tangy nor very tasteful, though it was bright orange. The one thing i DO love about this place, is everyone is usually pretty friendly and they have my FAVORITE Kim Crawford Sauv Blanc by the glass. That stuff is perfection. Overall, its a good place to go and grab a beer and have some decent food. There is nothing really driving me there, but nothing stopping me either.

I was invited along because my mom's friend wanted to go there. Worst food I have had at restaurant in a long time. I got the Reuben and the corned beef was rubbery. Sides were bland. I had a bite of my mom's food and it was awful as well. Would not go back. Maybe their drinks are better, but I wouldn't know since I just got water.

I had a Dr. appt. in Indy and we decided to do lunch at Rockbottom, which was down the street from my appointment. There were a few issues, but nothing that would stop us going back. Entre came out before appetizer (appetizer was comped without saying anything) and the portions were a bit small. I had the Tillamook Cheese Burger, which was very good, fries were nothing special. Wait staff was great, overall, good experience.

Went here for lunch and was really impressed. The staff was fun and very helpful. The food was great and was larger than expected. If you get the nachos like we did you better be have help its way more than 2 people could eat. The beer wasn't cold but still was good. Parking was kinda tough due to being downtown but not bad enough to keep us from coming back. Very pleased with our experience.

Liz really does some phenomenal beers..... even under the constraints of corporate financial hand wringing and egregious oversight. Bar and patio ambiance is casual and pleasant. Bar staff are personable and fun, always showing a sincere interest in the patrons. Serving staff.....ehhh...sometimes spotty...however some are excellent, such as Bill...who is occasionally behind the bar as well. Food is quite good....as with any mega menu chain....some items are better than others and portions can be ridiculously huge...thus it is wise to ask of the servers.... opinions and suggestions please. Overall all value of pricing, quality, service, and ambiance is high. ....and....since it is one of the only non-smoking establishments on the NW side of town....it has always been one of my go to places that rarely dissapoints !

Myself and 8 other moms with babies/children in tow met at Rock Bottom on a Wednesday for a Happy Hour type event. Our server was great, he was very nice and attentive. He also didn't glare at us when our children screamed or started throwing food on the floor (This is why we need a happy hour you see?!). We came at 3:30p, a reasonable time to go to a food/beverage establishment with kids so that you don't drive the whole place cray cray. We really wanted the Happy Hour specials. We probably wouldn't have picked this place if it weren't for the special. After all, there are Happy Hour specials all over right?! Well, not if you are a mom. Apparently, the rule is, Happy Hour is only in the bar section of the restaurant. WHAT?! I thought Happy Hours were created to bring in business during a very dull and boring time of the week/day. To get some more dollars in the server staff pockets. To have a warm body in the seat. Call me crazy. I've never worked in a restaurant (That's a fat lie, I've worked in a ton). We all got over it and ordered food, beers and had our happy hour, dang it! I had the Pastor Tacos Appetizer. They were super good. Roasted shredded pork on a tortilla with pineapple, avocado, mexican crema and cabbage. Good. Yummy Yummy in my Tummy. Last but not least, we left when our kids reached tyrant level 1. The world can thank us for that. Rock Bottom, please consider changing your rules. I'm in a group of 140 Indianapolis moms who could really use a great joint to have a 3:30pm Happy Hour. Let's not pretend you wouldn't like that. We're awesome.

If I had written this review a few months ago it would have received a better rating. We became regulars because I loved the Filet and he loves the Hoosier Ma Stout. Though the stout seems to rarely be offered. Our last visit we went to the downtown location we saw that the spicy spinach dip was off the menu, the filet was off the menu and of course no stout. We decided to have pretzels and then go to champps across the street. My husband had a full beer so I ordered another drink, when he finished his beer before I even received my drink. We just paid and left. I sent an email to the corporate office about my experience, and did even warrant a response or acknowledgement of any kind. I will spend my dollars elsewhere in the future.

Stopped in for a bite before heading to a movie. Food was great! Service was prompt. Sort of a limited menu...which I find refreshing. It usually means that they can cook all of the things on the menu well, versus finding a restaurant that serves 100 different entres and supposedly they're ALL good. We'll be back.

So I'd never even heard of Rockbottom Restaurant & Brewery before, but my hubby and I decided to give it a shot after finding a coupon in our savings book. It was date night and we weren't sure how busy it would be, but decided to make the trek from Anderson all the way there (about 45 minutes or so). There was plenty of parking for the restaurant We were able to be seated right away at 6:30 on a Friday night (they were busy but not full yet). Our waiter came over almost immediately and got us our drinks, my husband tried some beer and liked both his ordered beverage and the one our waiter brought for him to sample, which was the seasonal special I believe. Our appetizer came in a pretty timely fashion but was quite obviously fresh. We ordered the Jalapeño Pretzel Sticks with Jalapeño Spinach Cheese Dip. They were delicious, and that's coming from someone who generally doesn't care for spicy foods (although to be fair, I think the pregnancy has made me like a lot of foods I didn't much care for before). There were actual peppers in the sticks, so it definitely had a kick, but it was manageable. Our dinners came out shortly thereafter and I can't say enough good things about what I had. We both ordered the Ribeye on special. It was HUGE and I barely made it through a third of mine. Hubby finished his whole thing, he told me he didn't want it to go to waste! He got french fries with his that weren't so great, but my mashed potatoes were very good. We also both had veggies with our meal which turned out to be broccoli. It was tasty but overcooked so it was pretty mushy. Honestly though, the steaks (which were a special for the season with loads of garlic) were the shining stars. Our waiter was excellent and even though he was new to the company he made us feel very special on our night out, as well as providing fantastic service. We got enrolled in the rewards program (it's free to join) and it saved us money on the first visit! We will definitely be going back, it was worth the drive.

Having heard good things, my boyfriend and I spent one of our nights off here for dinner and drinks. We got the nachos. They were cold. Way too many chips, not enough goodies. Do not recommend. My burger tasted OK. Small for the price. Bun was cheap and stale. For half the price you can find just as good of burgers if not better all over Indy. Will not return. Not worth the money.

Rockbottom is the Appleby's of brew pubs. So, if you think Appleby's is a nice dinner, then you'll love it. But if you're used to real Midwest craft beer and homemade pub grub, then don't bother.

Rock bottom is definitely one of our favorite places to go in Indy. We call this our 'go-to' restaurant, because it's where we always go when we don't want make a decision or come up with something new to try. We love that the bar is smoke and child free. The servers and bartenders are friendly and generally speedy. The food at Rock Bottom is far better than your standard pub fare and they post calorie information online. The beer is delicious and you get an extra 4 oz when you join their mug club (which is 100% free). My personal favorite is the seasonal wheat. Local brewmaster, Liz Laughlin, keeps it interesting with a variety of beers on tap. There are 2 locations in Indianapolis, but we always feel at home at the 86th street location.

One of my favorite places to go when I'm visiting. It has a great atmosphere, speedy service and great food. I also appreciate that it's smoke free. At this location there's even a downstairs room with pool table, bar and tvs. Only 21 and up allowed down there. Their menu has a wide variety of burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and pizza. The Brewery Nachos are my favorite and are huge. Seriously the tray is as wide as the table. The brick oven pizzas are also great and big enough to share. It is a chain, but this place is still pretty great. It has many great memories for me as I used to come here often when I was in college. I go back every chance I get.

I really enjoy this place. The food was delicious & the service was fantastic. They have these great extra long booths too which are quite nice when you have more than a few people along. They also happen to have a little pond right in front of the restaurant where I saw a beaver swimming so it was totally worth the visit :)

Rockbottom should not be on any true list of brewpubs and breweries in Indianapolis, simply because it's a discredit to the real brewpubs and breweries - which are generally excellent - in the city and surrounding area. Indy's got some good beer, so any chain has to be doubly good to compete. The deal with Rockbottom, Ram (owned by the same company), and the West Coast equivalent, BJ's, is that they're safe. The food is not bad, but it's also not very good. Nothing is very interesting or inventive. The food is neither bland nor flavorful. It's like it's engineered through marketing surveys and focus groups. And the exact same thing applies to the beer: safe. The IPA is never very hoppy, but it's hoppy enough to not really offend anyone. The darks are darkly colored, but never too heavy on roasted malts or coffee hints. The other styles are nothing very interesting: no rauchbier, no sours, no imperial anything, no hybrids. So why 3 stars? Well, I can't really complain much about the food or the beer. All of it is consumable and reasonably priced enough. And, as with many chains, the service is absolutely stellar. It doesn't get much better. Another reason to come is the specials: happy hour with discounted appetizers in the bar (goes until 6pm M-F) and a beer of the day, at $3.25 for a 20oz pour. Not bad. But I don't make an effort to get here. However, it's very near my place, it's comfortable, not bad, and - like I said - good service.

We come here for two reasons, Don (bartender) and Liz (brewmaster). They are both fantastic! The food ALWAYS takes forever to come out, and chances are it has been over cooked and part if it sits in the kitchen for too long waiting for the rest of the over cooked food. It's so disappointing. The only thing that is ever consistently good are the pretzels, and I can't eat those for meals. It doesn't matter if they are busy or slow. If we didn't love the beer, and the One bartender, we would not come back!

    (2)
  • Mike R.

Firstly, let me say that I am not a beer connoisseur - I like beer, mostly sticking to IPAs or lagers. I am mainly a wine drinker; but being at a brewery you gotta order beer so I ordered an IPA, which was quite tasty. I always go to Rock Bottom alone, always sit at the bar, and almost always at the dinner hour. This visit was on a Wednesday, meaning the "Happy Hour" menu was applicable all night long, so I had the Fab Five Pizza. This is PLENTY large for one person, had good quality ingredients in sufficient quantity, and a nicely made crust. This visit I had Tom as my server/bartender. Both he and the other regular bartender have been there for at least 3 - 4 years. The place was busy but not packed, and Tom was prompt, attentive, and helpful, the food and beer came out promptly, and he brought me the check as soon as I indicated I was ready. I have had the other guy (taller, darker, skinnier) as a server before, and he is much less attentive unless you are a regular or like to engage in conversation. The "Rock Bottom" line - I like the food here, although it is not anything outstanding, it is slightly overpriced (except for the happy hour menu) as far as quality goes but the portions are pretty large. If you get the right server you can get out pretty quickly. I would probably have gone for 3.5 stars.

Great food and beer! We love walking over to rock bottom with friends and family. We had our engagement party there in November 2011 and the staff was great. We love Tom and Don at the bar! They love people and such wonderful personalities. A pleasure to be served by them.

I have been to many Rockbottom breweries in travels and each one takes on a very different characters based on the brewmeister, staff and chefs. The beer was phenomenal and our waiter was extremely knowledgeable regarding the complexities of the flavor and the bouquet. I would recommend the porter and the red, both were really refreshing. The food was great as well, but keep in mind that the portions are huge (A side salad is the size of a dinner plate). I would recommend the 'Mac and Chicken' which was remarkably tasty.

Rock Bottom has pretty good beer and food. It get's 4 stars for being a chain, but at least each restaurant has it's own Brewmaster which gives each individual restaurant a personal touch. My favorite thing about this specific location is the large bar area, the brewmaster makes great beer, the service is very friendly and helpful, and there is a large private parking lot. The downtown location is a little closer to my home, but it's worth my time to drive to this location and save time and money on parking. At the moment, my favorite food item is the Sonoma Chicken Wrap. They also have great appetizers. The nachos are an awesome value, because they are definitely big enough to share. As an added bonus, check out Rock Bottom on Wednesdays for happy hour ($5 apps!)

This was a great place to eat. My friend and I started with the pretzels and they were so big and so delicious. I ate a whole one myself and lots of the cheese dip that comes with the pair of pretzels. For an entree I got the 2:00AM burger (with cheddar, bacon, hashbrowns, and a fried egg) and oh man, it was stunning. The yolk broke over the burger and made everything so creamy dreamy. I got the housemade chips on the side and they were so perfectly thin and crunchy. I ate them with ketchup and couldn't have asked for more. And then came the carrot cake. I LOVE carrot cake and this didn't disappoint. It's a massive piece so sharing was the best decision for dessert but I could have easily put the whole thing away it was that good. Service was great and our waiter made some cute jokes and was nicely attentive but not overly smothering. I really enjoyed my time there.

Pretty good Beer is the only positive. Ordered food, was told it was the best thing on the menu and it never came. Went to the pub down the street and got treated better and ate food. Take a lap Rock Bottom. For a place that serves high test beer, they should realize how important food is. Bartenders are amateurs. I consistently saw empty beers in front of bar patrons in the 90 minutes I was there. Lots of places serve great beer in a timely manner and apparently this place cant. Very disappointed.

First and foremost: great beer-- I'm especially partial to their seasonal brews! The atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and comes in generous portions. Whether you want a nice, family dinner or just a quick drink after work, Rock Bottom is exactly what you're looking for.

  • Lizz C.

My husband and I came here for one reason - Liz's beers. They didn't fail to satisfy! ;) Our favorite was probably her porter. Smooth, creamy, well balanced and everything that a good porter should be. Since nosh is always a good idea when you drink, we got an appetizer. We generally aren't huge eaters, preferring to split something small, have a good beer and move on. The nachos we got were too big for two people. They were a good value and we really enjoyed them (the salsa was exceptionally good)! It was just too big for us. The bartender chatted about beers with us, and made sure we had a great experience. The only thing that would have made it better is getting to shake hands with the brewer. I'm positive we'll be back again and will have the opportunity to do so!

Ahhh, Rockbottom. I was kicked out the basement of your fine establishment 5 years ago when I was underage. This summer, I was back in Indy again after the DCI World Championships. One of my friends had his heart set on hitting up Rockbottom for some drinks and food after the show. Unfortunately, by the time we hiked across town from Lucas Oil Stadium, the kitchen had closed 10 minutes prior to our arrival. Bummer, because I was STARVING. No matter. We stuck around and had drinks until last call. I wasn't super impressed, and it seemed like you had to be a female to get any of the bartenders to wait on you (even though all the bartenders were female? wtf?). Overall I'm sure there are other bars in Indy that are just as good if not better.

My son took us to lunch here on a recent visit to Indy. The seafood chef salad (Citrus shrimp and crab served over mixed greens with cucumber, tomatoes, chopped egg, mandarin oranges and avocados) was a meal for two. They have a wonderful menu with too many items to list. I highly suggest checking out their website before you go! You won't be disappointed. The restaurant was clean and service was friendly and attentive. The variety of beer is one of the main reasons to visit. If you like to try different types of beers on tap, this is definitely one place to try.

Ambience ok and typical of Rock bottom breweries but the food is not very good or presented well. Overcooked and thrown on a plate plus the staff was never around

I think they have one of the best Vegi Burgers in town. I also very much enjoy their beer. They are tapping seasonal beers but they also have their normal beers on tap. Their pretzels are fantastic as well but forewarning ... they are large and should probably be shared. I would recommend it! You can get growlers there as well!

It was my wife's birthday, and we were visiting Indy. I'm a craft beer fan, and the beer here was pretty good. The food was pretty good, and the portions were on the average-to-small size. Our waitress was friendly, but disappeared for long periods of time. Despite enjoying my first beer, it took almost 10 minutes for her to come check on us after we had our meal, and it took another 10 minutes to get the second beer. She apologized, but seemed frustrated herself at being stretched so thin.

I love this place!!! Me and my fiance routinely go here when we decide to dine out. The beer is always good and the menu has a nice rotation to go with the seasons. Between the seasonal beers and the menu we make a point of coming to this restaurant at least once a month. I would definitely recomend it.

I was in tonight on a return trip. The last time was bad enough that i sent in a few emails about my experience. This time, as i sat for 10 minutes, without a fork I wondered why the nice lady who the bartender seem to like got her fork first. Ten or maybe 12 minutes later I got my meal and ask for a fork. The MOD seemed nice but just don't sit at the bar unless you happened to be a lady. For me the service is below par...way below. The food is ok and the beer is good.

Overall, this was a pretty fun place to come pound some brews with the droogies, but it wouldn't be my first choice. First of all, it really does get crowded, which means it's also really noisy, and not in a pleasant, rowdy bar kind of way. (At least, when I was there, but I missed karaoke!) More of just a huge restaurant with lots of screaming kids, clattering plates and chattering people kind of way. Perhaps because of this, the service was also pretty slow, although the waitress was nice. However. My friend had a burger that was absolutely out of this world. It was a bourbon-bacon-bleu cheese burger (or something like that; you'll know it when you see it.) Assuming you eat red meat: ORDER IT. You will not be sorry! It was really spectacular. Without it, I wouldn't have rated this place all that highly, but man oh man, was that a tasty burger.

As always the beer at this Rock Bottom was great. However, last Thursday my wife and son stopped by for a late lunch (just before 2pm). There was maybe 10 people in the whole place. We ordered our food at 2pm and it was 3pm before we got our food (reuben, fish tacos, and chicken tenders). And to make matters worse the chicken tenders were very over cooked. I guess I should have known this was not going to go well when the waiter forget to bring the beer we ordered to the table. So after 15 minutes I asked the hostess if she could bring us a the beer. So I guess it will be awhile before we go back to the Rock Bottom on the north side...and if we do we will make sure not to get that server again!

Exemplary customer service. And great beer. I'm a fan of this location, as they hold a regular event for the local Humane Society and it's a good time. But I'm also a fan because the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service has been great each time I've visited. We ordered veggie nachos to share with everyone at our table on our last visit. It came out with chicken on it, so we flagged the server down and showed her. She apologized, and we didn't want to waste the food, so asked for a smaller plate of nachos without chicken. She brought another plate out, but it too had chicken. Embarrassed, she brought a plate without chicken a few minutes later. The manager came to our table, apologized, said it wasn't the server's fault but the kitchen's, and offered to pay for our food. We accepted, and she said she talked to the kitchen staff to make sure this didn't happen again. She was genuinely friendly and polite. Beyond this experience, the beer is great, and the salmon fish & chips are particularly delicious. I'm not typically a fan of chains, but this place has a nice personal touch and good quality.

Very good. I was surprised at how nice the food selection was and how attentive and friendly the staff was. Exceptionally clean and organized, too!

Awsome place. I never order a salad anywhere because its not a meal. Rock Bottom however, that's what I usually seem to get. The ahi salad is great and the tuna is always fresh and the fried anahiem peppers make the south west chicken salad much more than a salad. Excellent appetizers, you can't go without trying the fried macaroni squares. The always on tap beers and some of the sandwiches are just ok. Stick to the seasonal and limited batch beers and entrees and you can't miss.

Our server was awesome. She had the entire bar area during happy hour and plenty of folks to serve, but she did a great job. I eat a gluten free diet so I called ahead to find out if they had a menu. They do not but said that the chef could help me modify a meal. I told them I wanted a salad with chicken or shrimp and he sent a note with the server to let me know what was and wasn't safe to eat. He said the shrimp wasn't due to marinade or something that came on it when it arrived in the kitchen. But he said the blue cheese salad dressing was safe - I don't believe him. I ordered the chicken waldorf salad but subbed the honey balsamic dressing in for the honey mustard. I typically don't care for honey mustard and honey balsamic seems more safe. The first salad that came to the table had a big roll sitting on the side so I sent it back. The manager (?) brought my second salad and apologized and said she'd comp the salad. However, the dressing was either an odd tasting honey balsamic or a weak honey mustard. The salad was good. The dressing was disappointing. And it made me sick. Something must have had gluten in it. Many people in my party took advantage of the $2 house pints (only on Mondays) and $5 appetizers (happy hours special). Good deal.

Even though the restaurant was really crowded, the service was still pretty good, although I did have to ask for a water refill. I had your basic hamburger and fries - fantastic! My friend had the hot wings. He said they were great and I believe him since he plowed through them like there was no tomorrow!

I agree with Mark J.'s assessment of the Lake Circle Drive Rock Bottom location in that he prefers it to downtown, but for a different reason: Thursday night karaoke! There's nothing like chuggin' a creamy Brickway Brown or a special-to-Indy Circle City Light from local brewmaster Liz Laughlin while listening to locals belt it out during Norm's karaoke night. Even if Norm is annoyingly animated during everyone's acts. Most of the people that get up there are actually good, and occasionally, they succeed in being purposefully funny. Last time I was there a duo of dudes executed a rendition of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" that was Old School worthy. This night's probably the most clean fun you can have with beer.

i am quite impressed with Rock Bottom. I've been to the downtown location numerous times and have always dug it. I've only been to this location a few times, but my last visit left me very happy and not just because of the brews I consumed. Our server, Bill, was great. He noticed our love of IPA's and offered us a sample of a newly tapped brew (not yet listed in the menu) that he thought we might enjoy... which I did. I don't know what they call them, but their specialty or seasonal beers like the black IPA and the Old Curmudgeon are the best. The menu gives one plenty to ponder. I chose the Laredo burger with fries after being indecisive. I second guessed my choice, but after the first bite I knew it was a good one. I usually get the enormous plate of nachos, but I decided not to this time having eaten nachos 3 times this week already. Maybe next week.

One of the first places my wife and I went to when we moved to Indianapolis. Great atmosphere; it can be quiet and chilled during the week, or it can be jumping on a Friday night playing pool downstairs. Along with great steaks that melt like butter in your mouth, they have a great selection of local beers like Hoosier Stout to try with your meal in the form of their sampler (my suggestion for those who enjoy good beer and don't want to get hammered). Prices are moderate, and you definitely get what you pay for. We have never had a bad meal there, and remains at the top of our list for a steak night out. If you haven't been, check them out either off of 86th Street or in downtown Indy. Both locations are good. Enjoy, and have a beer for me!

The Rockbottom on the north side is far less crowded than the one downtown most of the time. During peak hours, it can get pretty nasty, and, of course, during the monthly tapping (half an hour of free beer, check their website for times). All Rockbottoms have the same--a slowly rotating stocks of stouts, reds, browns, IPAs, and whatever experiments they're trying out presently--but each one has a cask or two of beers unique to that location. And occationally (including right now) they have variations on the same beer. If you're not a beer person, you'll find the food excellent, but a little pricy. Their menu seems to be upscale versions of pretty classic foods: Mac and Cheese, meatloaf, burgers, etc... The waitstaff and this location appears to be pretty consistent. They're pretty quick about getting refills and clearing the tables, as well as allowing you to hang out for long periods of time. At off-peak hours, there are almost too many people asking if everything's alright and getting you refills.

Went there with 2 colleagues because the sign said they had pumpkin beer and I love pumpkin! Apparently, the sign lists all the beers they have year round, it's not a menu. what?! Anyway, no pumpkin beer for me. The food was pretty uneventful. I had a salad with grilled chicken. It was fine, nothing to write home about. I would not return to this restaurant and I wouldn't recommend it to you either. There has to be something more delicious waiting for you in Indy? Let's hope.

I have been to both Rock Bottom locations in Indianapolis, and it really depends on what you're looking for. If you want to hang out with some friends for a subtle, yet fun night out, go to this location off 86th Street. If you want to hang out with not only your friends, but a bunch of wild party animals, go to the one downtown. I love this place because you can try all the various beers they brew themselves by ordering a "sampler" of beers. It was so cool. There are some that are totally gross and there are some that leave you wanting more and more. It's like Will Ferrell said in Old School, "Once it hits your lips it's so good!" They also have the best darn pretzels in Indianapolis! Yes, pretzels. It comes with this pepper jack/spinach cheese dip that I can not seem to mimic at all. The pretzels are HUGE! I ate one for an appetizer and had to box my meal...it's serious. You should definately have your friends come with. The food is great and served in large portions, especially for the price. Guess you can't drink and not eat hunh?! Ok...as if all of that isn't enough, I also ordered a carrot cake with cream cheese icing... (Smacking the lips) for desert! Talk about heaven in the form of a cake. For starters the cake was so big that not even my friend and I could eat it all. To top it all off my friend had never had carrot cake, yet swore she wouldn't like it. Man, she killed as much of that cake as she could. Rock Bottom does everything BIG with personable customer service at an excellent price and for that they Rock!

I live far from Indy now, and Rockbottom is one of the places I always always go when i'm in town. The atmosphere is excellent, and the food is great. The whole family (including a vegan, a vegetarian, and a wheat gluten allergy) easily find favorites at Rockbottom. Get the white cheddar mashed potatoes, and save room for the carrot cake...seriously. The carrot cake is absolute perfection.

After about 24 hours of discussion, my group of 5 ended up here for dinner. After putting our name in, we were told it'd be a 45 minute wait on a busy Saturday night, so my boyfriend and I headed to the bar. No more than 10 minutes later, we were seated at our table! It took a good 10 minutes more for our waiter to come by to take our drink orders, etc., but no complaints - we were still pouring over the menu. I ordered the Bourbonzola Burger with a homemade veggie burger in place of beef -- it came out in a reasonable amount of time with 3 of my companions' dishes, but the 5th dish didn't come out with the rest. Figuring it'd be right behind, we waited -- but it took longer than was reasonable. Alas, my mom's order for mahi tacos was obviously not put into the kitchen, probably because the waiter didn't write a single thing down. We mentioned something to the waiter and he said he'd get right on it. A manager came by and comped my mom's meal as well as gave all five of us an extra beverage for free because we'd all been waiting to dig in until her food arrived (more delicious pumpkin ale for me!). My onion rings initially arrived in the form of the default french fries, but that was easily and quickly remedied, but the thin-cut fries and onions rings were both tasty! Zero stars deducted for these issues thanks to the perfectly executed customer service (this is coming from someone who has worked in customer service)! My burger was delicious and, again, the pumpkin ale was very tasty. I'd consider coming back to this or another of the Rock Bottom locations.

This place is exactly what you would expect/want from this type of brewery/restaurant. I have been to 4 different Rock Bottoms from Chicago to Indy and this one was one of the best experiences. The beers are good, they tend to excel with porters and stouts. The food is always changing and is very good! The serves was great! We had two serves, one of which was training. The Trainer was very good at his job and was very good about check backs and beverage serves. The only down side is that their are so many breweries that it's hard to find time to get back here. Keep up the good work RB!

It's a Rock Bottom Brewery, so if you've been to one, you've been to them all....but, this one has consistently good food and you can usually find a seat in the bar or general area. The service at this Rock Bottom is always outstanding.

service was fantastic - friendly, fast service with a great atmosphere at a decent price point. nachos were awesome. entrees unfortunately were expected, bar quality food with portion sizes larger than needed. the greatest disappointment was the beer. the house or corporate beers were overwhelming with the flavor of Belgian candies and tasted like they missed their final hopping. i did not get to taste the brewmasters beers, but I hope to next time. I was expecting more but it's just a mediocre bar with poorly contrived brews.
