We had a party of 10. Our waitress Susan was amazing. Food was mediocre. I have to say, Susan our waitress was the best part of this experience. I called the restaurant at 9:30am on Saturday September 19th and asked for reservations. I was told no reservations accepted on day of visit. So I decided to call an hour before our visit, was told they don't put reservation holds for any parties of 7+. Baffling, we arrived at the restaurant at 6:30, told there would be an hour wait for our party of 10. We sat and watched as one party of 2,3,4,5,6 got seated one after the other.... Management was no where to be found. Personally I would have preferred to go somewhere else but my 70 year old mother wanted to dine at Red lobster... Our party spent over $400 but will probably never come back due to the wait. Red lobster, it's the 21st century, get with the program. Accommodate your large parties...:( Susan was great! Food was okay.

Food was ok. Seemed as though the menu has been the same my entire life. It's too expensive for what you get. My daughter ordered chicken fingers and a soda. I ordered a half order of blackened chicken pasta and a daiquiri. The total was $40!!! I've spent that much on myself alone for dinner so I'm not complaining about the price, but chicken at a seafood restaurant shouldn't cost that much. Especially if it's just mediocre. We had a party over 15 people and they would not bring out any bread until we ordered. I ordered a Caesar salad with the dressing on the side. I got my salad last and it had dressing on it. Then, it wasn't even Caesar. Just because you douse iceberg lettuce with Caesar dressing doesn't make it a Caesar salad. Since I was there for a birthday party, I just focused on the birthday girl and counted down the minutes to leave. I don't think I will make another trip back even if there's a bday party. I'd rather put my money towards a gift.

Ok let me start by saying this is one of the best red lobsters In Indiana I will tell you why.. We came for My fiancés birthday which fell on Mother's Day this year red lobster was packed beyond belief. The wait we were told was 40 to 45 minutes but there were many people ahead of us so we grabbed out timer and waited after the alloyed time passed we got our table. Our server was Jose he was one of the most attentive and privacy giving waiter I ever had almost like a refill ninja one second I was low the next he had swung by and refilled the table he deff made the wait worth it along with the speed of food and quality for a chain restaurant it didn't even feel like one just amazing. I will be coming back!

My guilty pleasure - crab Alfredo lunch. Soo fattening but so good. $11.90 for a lunch portion. If I'm over by the castleton mall I'm eating lunch here. I'll work out tomorrow....

The food was just as it should be - tasty - and our waitress pretended not to see me eating shrimp off my man's unlimited shrimp plate. She was also SUPER sweet! Great service overall!

I am giving this establishment 3 stars due to the service time and the quality of the food. We waited 10 minutes to be seated, approx 20 before our drink order was taken and our biscuits were cold. In regards to the drinks they were not very flavorable. The ambiance is nice but overall I am not too thrilled with this particular Red Lobster and will likely drive across town for now on.

I have always been a fan of Red Lobster. Things actually are better since thev were sold to a new company. Walts shrimp was really good tonight. I also like the new teas they have. Service is typically very good. Over all worth the money. When i was as in High School Red Lobster was the fanciest place i had ever eaten.

Good food for the price. Got the ultimate feast and it is about as good as it gets. Rather than it being fresh

Service was slow, and a one hour dinner turned into two. They were real good about my allergy though. I know they were packed, but it would be awesome if the extra plates could get cleared. At a table of 6 1/2 on endless shrimp night, dishes get stacked up quickly. The manager came by, though, and we expressed our concerns directly. She was very nice about it, and added a dessert to go for us. Three stars turned into four. Good job. The bathrooms are really nice, clean too. There's changing tables, just no place to feed a baby.

Stopped in for lunch with my wife. She had the breaded shrimp and I had the Shrimp Scampi. The Scampi was very good and the salad was fresh and also very good. Their garlic rolls were excellent and they brought us an extra serving for free. My wife's breaded shrimp was kinda of mushy and after we told the waitress she immediately brought her another order that was excellent. In fact the Manager stopped by our table to ask how the second order was. The waitress was extremely nice also.

My wife & I ate here tonight. Molly our server was wonderful! Helpful, efficient made it a great experience for us. I had stuffed flounder & scallops and my wife had clam strips, both were great right down to the iced tea.....food was hot and timed just right. As we left we met Lesley, the manager now I know what makes this restaurant stand out from just being one of a chain. People like these two ladies. I saw on yelp where one person gave them 1 star....but checked that persons 4 reviews and saw they gave 3 one stars and the other a 2 star. So sad they have to be so negative. We live 250 miles from Indianapolis and will definitely return to this great dining establishment when we return....

Really surprised at how good the service was! Did a call ahead, arrived at the Restaurant on a Saturday evening and only had to wait about 5 mins, even though the place was packed! Waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, best chain experience ever! :)

I'm not a fan of chain restaurants, as a rule. But we were looking for a place for an early Sunday lunch, and just happened to be right by here, so we swung in. I must say...I was impressed. I chose the build your own lunch, with fried fish and clam strips. Both were tasty and done perfectly. The baked potato was great, as always, the salad was good...not great, but good, and those biscuits. Oh, those biscuits. So very tasty. I've GOT to say a word about or server, Chris. I can't recall having such good service. The perfect blend of give us both the attention and privacy we wanted. Well done. We'll be back.

Received better service from the bus boy. Never mind the food, we felt completely ignored my our server. She didn't even bother to come by and check until it was too late. I ordered the Ultmate Feast...no crackers for the crab?

I'll start by saying that I normally avoid chain restaurants..... But a Christmas Gift card is a Christmas Gift card. The Red Lobster in Castleton does hold some sentimental reverence for me. Growing up as a kid in Fishers in the late 70s & 80s, Red Lobster was considered quite the treat at the time as any sort of "finer dining" was scarce back in the day. Having said that, it's probably been 30 years since my last visit. While the Northeast corridor has grown and changed, and our choices have exponentially multiplied..... Red Lobster remains the same! While I'm sure they have remodeled the building several times over the past 3 decades...the dark and dingy decor is just how I remembered it. We were there at lunch time and were not looking to gorge ourselves with the dinner time combination platters....we ordered from the lunch menu. I was surprised that they really had no lunch specials to speak of but the normal lunch items were reasonably priced. I ordered the shrimp tacos with a side salad and rice pilaf. (Fish tacos are one of my favorite snacks so I thought this might be a good choice). The salad was ok, one step above a bagged salad with good croutons. The rice pilaf was dry and bland and the shrimp tacos completely missed the mark. The small salad shrimp were over cooked and chewy and were served over basically the same green mix that comprised my side salad. The sauce for the tacos was pretty good but there was so little of it that it couldn't save the dish. On the plus side: The cheddar biscuits were as fabulous as ever... full of buttery, garlicky, cheddary goodness!!! They saved at least one additional star on this review. Our server was very nice and attentive. (Maybe too attentive) The crowd was older (50s & 60s) thought for a moment I was at an MCL cafeteria. On the whole, Red Lobster serves as a reminder to me as to why I try to patronize locally owned and operated establishments. As I browsed the menu the prices of their dinner items are competing with local restaurants that I know are much better so the value aspect is also a fail for this chain. Unless I receive another gift card from someone who doesn't know me very well.... I doubt I would ever go again. And even then I might be tempted to regift it.

THIS RED LOBSTER ROCKS! ALWAYS HAS! We've been to Red Lobsters all over Indiana, but this one is THE Red Lobster. Their food is typical Darden quality... but we have an exceptional waiter we keep getting in the barroom at this location. He's GREAT! (Will update with his name.) If you like Red Lobster, you'll be a fan of this location.

For a solid 10 year stretch of my life, I thought that Red Lobster was the fanciest and most amazing restaurant in the world. I asked my parents to go there for my birthday supper every year and was usually allowed to order something that (gasp) came with lobster! Lots of great memories of RL when growing up means it'll always have a special place in my soul. I don't visit often anymore, but when I do, I'm generally surprised at how much I still like the food. The woodfire-grilled trout is one of my favorites these days, although it was slightly overcooked and not quite as tasty at this location as I've had at other RLs in Indy (3.5 stars of 5). Baked potato was fine (3 stars) and the asparagus was just mediocre (2.5 stars). Cheddar biscuits were superb as usual (4.5 stars). One odd thing is that they've stopped including a salad with your meal ...if you want one now, you have to order it as one of your sides. Weird. All in all, a good but not great experience. Friendly (but slow) service, solid food, reasonable prices and portions. This location is decent but if given the choice, I'd rather visit the Avon or 38th St locations instead.

OOOOK, I will start by saying that I'm embarrassed to be writing this review, b/c I feel like I have really good taste in food and restaurants, but I'm pregnant, so my cravings control my life. I find this to be the only acceptable reason it is OK for me to have enjoyed such a fabulous (though overpriced) meal!! First of all, I have not been to Red Lobster since 2001, in Bloomington, IN where my college boyfriend used to take me for "special" occasions. Um, yah...exacccctly!! Well, today, I was reading a Yelp review and it mentioned those fabulous cheddar biscuits and I immediately called my hubby to tell him I wanted Red Lobster for date night. He was driving and said he nearly went off the road... He thought for SURE I had seen a commercial (as this is where my biggest cravings come from). I told him it was Yelp and he said "Ok, babe, whatever my babies want". HA! I was NOT disappointed. After waiting nearly 30 minutes (!!! Yes, it was PACKED at 8:00 p.m. but I guess it IS Friday night - what do I know??), we were seated in the bar. Nick waited on us (and I saw a guy from high school who I hadn't seen in about 11 years waiting on a table nearby - he didn't recognize me but whatev) and was great! He was attentive even though he was really busy, kept our iced teas full and biscuits coming. The biscuits were PERFECTION and beyond my expectations and memories of "special occasion" night with my ex. :) I ordered the pick two for $15.99 (jeezum) and got snow crab legs, grilled shrimp, house salad and baked potato (they were out of broccoli - BOO!). It was great! My hubby got the surf and turf and though his steak was perfectly cooked, he said the lobster was bland and unseasoned. Either way, I was VERY pleased with my meal. I doubt my hub will agree to take me back anytime soon (too many kids, too crowded, too much waiting for a chain restaurant) but I thought it was well worth it!! All I can say is YUUUUMMMMY to the biscuits and crab legs. I would have ordered some to go but our bill was already $54 and we weren't drinking (wow! for chain food? UGH). I would still go back. Yah, I'm pretty easy!!

who doesn't like Red Lobster every once in awhile? I have been coming to Red Lobster since I was a kid and I still like it. The cheddar bay biscuits are pretty good and the server we had was very attentive. We will definitely come back in the future!

What can I say? It's a chain I have been going to since I was a child, and it's dependable. Much as I make fun of it and deride people for eating at Red Lobster, when circumstances place me there, I always have to admit that it really isn't so bad. For chain seafood in this price range, I would probably go for Bonefish, though. My main problem with Red Lobster is really not their problem at all: their overabundance of shellfish, much of it fried. I really can't fault a restaurant with the name "lobster" in its name for serving shellfish. But I prefer other fish, and they do have daily specials. The rice is kind of like Uncle Ben's, and that is definitely frozen broccoli; I know it is. But it's OK. And the bread really is quite good.

My husband and I initially went here because we had a coupon, but we were pleasantly surprised. The garlic cheddar biscuits were very yummy...I didn't expect so much flavor from a "starter" biscuit. We had their coconut shrimp and the lobster, scallop & shrimp sampler over rice pilaf. The flavors were very good (although the meats were a tad overcooked). What also surprised us was that there were people waiting to get in (15 minute wait) on a Wednesday night at 7 pm! That's highly unusual in this area. Apparently a lot of other people think this restaurant's pretty good, too!

I can't stand a restaurant with smelly stale carpet. Wet and musty. It's just nasty. Red Lobster needs a major over haul! The food isn't special either. I prefer the simple boiled or steamed lobster and crab a baked potato and veggies/salad. That's it. I keep it simple so they can't mess it up. I realize you have to eat it in. It doesn't travel well. My husbands loves the Admiral's Feast. Yuck!
