I go there once a week (before 6 pm on Mondays) because one of my best friends works there. Racks is a nice neighbourhood bar...patrons there at that time are mainly 40s or older...but the only turnoff was one racist "good old boy" who dropped two N-bombs across the bar when he knew there weren't any African-Americans around to challenge the guy....and most of the other people laughed. It's not crowded...lots of room...very good food. My friend just started and she really doesn't know yet how to cook the food there...but she did a great job cooking my tenderloin. It was one of the best I ever had....it was thick...the fries were great too..and it cost just $6.50 for both. There are also lunch specials other days like meatloaf...very low price. If you pay with credit card the minimum is $25, but if your tab is less you can get cash for the difference. The owner is a dead ringer for country singer George Jones. If my friend didn't work there I probably wouldn't go, but Racks is nice and I therefore go all the time.
